A note was left outside Atlantis's gates with a time that Melvin would come outside of the gates to see whoever would arrive or pick up whatever was left off. There was never a date - never a time of the week.
During that time, the gates would open and Melvin would arrive. There were no apparent signs of damage to him, and he wasn't loosing weight, and he still managed to keep himself immaculately clean. Quote: Feel free to start a drabble here for the weeks Melvin will be spending in Atlantis. Quote: **Original Atlantis thread: LinkDescription of Chamber: It was large and dark and some of the room's dimly lit walks and curves made it clean this was no natural cave at all. A dozen more small pools like Melvin's circled the area, gently glowing. A keep eye would note slightly different hues in the other waters. How your character gets here: Swim down Deus, Got through a cave down a long tunnel to a chamber with a door that opens. This leads into a dark chamber where you swim up (and is actually a portal) that has you pop up from a pool into the main chamber. Your character cannot see into Atlantis. Consider this room a lobby area outside Atlantis' gates that are closed.

October had never been down to Atlantis before and wasn't sure how much he liked being here in the first place. he did, at least like the water a great deal, and he liked swimming as much as the next person, even if still felt a little bizarre to actually be in Atlantis at all.
But still.
Melvin's arrival was prompt, looking as he ever did, if not a bit more...underwatery. October bent his head to brush a brief peck to his cheek in greeting before straightening again, frowning around at the place.
"Is this like the Atlantis in the movie?"

Water you doing He was surprised October would leave his lair of pillows to do a dive down but welcomed the company. The kiss was surprising but gentle and he took it as nothing more than a sweet way to say hello. It was nice to have human contact in any form. It made being present more real.
"If you mean coral skyscrapers and singing crabs then no. It is more advanced in its own technology and feels more powerful than Deus at times. There is its own sense of art and design to the buildings and interiors. Minimal but still detailed covered in some metal that appears gold. It's stunning but hurts to think it's been vacant for ages."
"It's nice to see you. How have you been?"

It had admittedly taken more effort than October would have told Melvin to come down and see him, especially coming from someone like October who avoided effort like the plague. But he was also a worrywart, and Melvin was a friend, so here he was.
He did, however, look a little disappointed to learn there were no singing crabs. October said, "Well, it's still beautiful, even without the skyscrapers. I've never seen a place like this before. I didn't even know it existed until that whole crab shindig."
October's gaze flitted around curiously. "I'm fine. It's stopped raining," he added, sounding slightly sad about this, but then added, "Everyone's over the moon. What about you?"

"I don't notice weather or time much here. I usually just know what time to be here. It's the same here since it's not affected by the outside world, but I do not mind. There is enough to do that I'm usually distracted. I've gotten. To see more of Atlantis than before."
"Has anything happened to Deus since? Any trouble?"

It felt like a place where one could fall asleep easily in, which was, of course, a positive for October. He reached out a hand, idly sifting fingers through Melvin's hair in a gesture that was unconscious in thought as he looked around, trying to spot any singing crabs (in spite of the reassurances there weren't any).
"Strange," said October, with a hum of thought. "It's kind of...wobbly down here, isn't it?"
He shook his head; there were no glasses on today, October wearing contacts instead to save himself the trouble of glasses and swimming. "Nothing. It's been sunny and clear skies."
His hand stilled. "So what do you do around here, exactly?"

Water you doing "It feel sturdy to me. It's only when I look up past the gate where the sky is water that things feel as if they are upside down. Here in this cove, where it's darker and smaller, it feels less overwhelming." He admitted.
"I do not do much. I sleep. I walk Atlantis to give myself something to do on the time I have to myself. It's still dark and I haven't memorized a lot of the place, so it's safer in my room. I have learned how to get here and to get to my room with some confidence. Sometimes i like to just slowly look from one room to the next and think. The rest of the time I am working."
He closed his eyes to the running of October's hands through his hair and he moved in, hugging him tightly. "It's strange to be away from everyone."

"It's a little..." October moved his free hand to make a wobbling gesture, palm facing downwards. "Y'know? It's not...bad, exactly, just..." He made the wobbling gesture again for good measure. "I've never seen anything like it, it's kind of fascinating."
He had always liked the ocean. October's fingers moved again in Melvin's hair as he spoke, then angled his arm so that it was partly resting on Melvin's shoulders as Melvin's own arms moved around him in an embrace. "It sounds like a lot of...getting used to things," he said, frowning in thought. "Or like, back when I was stuck with all the zombies and everything. Being alone is weird, but you don't have to stay here forever right?"

"What the s**t is this place?" was Nash's ever cheerful greeting as he stepped out to meet Melvin, eyes moving around the pools and the designs with an expression of mingled interest and vague annoyance simultaneously.
"This is weird."

I'm more useful here at the moment then in the runic labs. It's a job I'm the only one trusted to do for now. The longer I stay, the better." Though he wasn't sure how long he would be able to stay. Too soon made him feel as if he couldn't handle a few days completely alone.
"I'm taking it as a personal challenge."

"Other places used to all come in through here through those pools just like you did." He explained as he moved to Nash and hugged him, only because he was happy to see anyone and because it was Nash.

October considered this for a moment.
"That's not a bad idea," he said, in the same slow, calm tone of voice he used for almost everything, as though it was taking some effort to get the thoughts put together. He rested his chin on the top of Melvin's head, dropping his hand away from his hair so that his arm rested loosely over Melvin's shoulders, fingers dangling.
"I don't mind the solitude, but I think I'd get lonely if I was here too long. It's kinda badass that you're doing it, though. A project you can focus on, right? Something to keep your mind moving and active."

"Other places like...what, exactly?" Nash asked. He wasn't really the huggy sort of person, but he allowed it, since it was Melvin, and he was stuck down here by himself, apparently, which meant there was no one else to talk to. "Like, are there other places besides Atlantis? Like El Dorado or whatever?"
"I think I'd go stir crazy if I was stuck down here forever. You're not stuck down here forever, are you?"

how are you dewingIt had been some time since the Atlantis mess had finished, and Seren couldn't take her worries anymore. She went for a dive, the first time she'd done one on her own. If anyone got mad at her for going alone, she'd deal with it when she got back. Instead, she made it down, and up to the lobby, before sitting to wait, leaning against a wall with her eyes closed. She just wanted to be sure Melvin was ok.

Is Wetter Better?
Once the whole I can hear your thoughts thing faded away, Joy could finally get the peace of mind that she needed. Or just enough quiet that she could be sure that the thoughts in her head were hers (and her weapon's) and not anyone else. She didn't want to be so influenced by others, and she certainly didn't want anyone to think she came to visit Melvin out of some form of peer pressure.
The dive down was thankfully uneventful, although she only hoped the supposedly air-tight, well-sealed container she brought did its job. And while Melvin appeared to be healthy, surely he wouldn't mind that "I brought you some food. You can heat them up or eat them as is." she explained.
