After extensive discussion amongst the majority of our current active ela'wadiyi owners, some decisions were reached, including what kind of information we'd need for those wishing to join the pride.
To explain why we have an actual application to fill out--even though we've reached a decision or two as to what people/lion(ess)es we'd like to have as the leaders of the pride, when appropriate, we'd still like to keep decisions such as these democratic, and so the best way we could think of to do so was this. After filling out your application, current members will have 1 week to send a PM to the mule ( Elawadiyi ), with their answer (yes or no), and an explanation as to why they voted the way they did (and please remember to specify whose app you're voting on? XD).

Intent: Plot involvement mainly. Rehema will come into contact with Ona'raha Subiani after being wounded by Mwali and escorted to a place of safety by her best friend, Malik, who will regretably have to leave to continue looking for his kidnapped brother, Azeze. Rehema will be left in the care of Ona'raha Subiani while she's wounded. In which time she'll become fascinated with the stories the lion will share while caring for the wounded lioness. By the time she's well enough to travel once more, she'll be interested in the culture of the pride and perhaps lodge some feelings of friendship towards Ona who cared for her. Ona will extend an invitation for the lioness to stay with him and likely by that time she'll be willing to accept.
Clan: Likely shadow to remain with Ona'raha Subiani.
Leaving the Pride: Originally, Rehama along with Malik were traveling with a search party to find Azeze, a cub that had been kidnapped from the pridlands. Mwali turned on the party once they entered the desert (part of the firekin plot) and drove the others away. Rehema and Malik fled for their lives and ended up getting seperated and lost from the others. Malik's likely to return to the pridelands if he can find Azeze safe and sound, Rehema, however, will likely grow more comfortable with Ona and his clan.
Possible Conflicts: Likely not. She was well-liked in the pride lands and gets along pretty well. A bit brawly and verbal but not enough to be horribly offensive.

Intent: Why do you want to have them join the Ela? What do you plan on having them do if they're accepted?:
I would really love to have them join because I feel it’s the kind of life that they could actually settle down with. Functioning under one direct king or queen would probably set someone as strong willed as Phib on edge- but he could easily adapt to a clan system. Améh is supremely pacifistic- and she would adore the spiritual culture of the pride, and would readily embrace any of their teachings and lifestyles. Phib, on the other hand, may be somewhat more reluctant at first. He comes from a warring background, and he’d see the spiritual nature of the Elas to be somewhat daunting- but I think he could become very attached to their ideals and protect them none the less. He may never understand them, but like Améh, he tends to grow attached to what isn’t like him.
But it isn’t in Phib’s nature to just join onto things- Améh would be the one that would make the choice to join. [Probably prompted by her affections towards Ona and U'yosi] She’s very concerned over their lifestyle of roaming, particularly with Phib getting older and never seemingly able to keep himself out of trouble. She would see the Ela'wadiyi as a place she would find agreeable to hang around, and believes that if she stays in one place, Phib will likely stay as well.
It would be her hope that the atmosphere might be redemptive towards him. Phib of course- will go along with whatever Améh does, even if he may be somewhat confused over her decision in the beginning. But he’d likely see the Elas as a good place for her, and would not do anything to sabotage that connection. Honestly- Phib realizes he's getting old. As much as he hates to admit it, the time is growing short for exactly how well he can keep up a rogue vagabond lifestyle- and very secretly, he is actually somewhat embaressed that he has become a rogue. He may never understand all the ways of the Ela pride- but I think he'd give it a shot to apease Améh.
If they’re accepted most of what they’d do would be entirely based on what happens in RP. I don’t see them doing anything extraordinary. Améh will probably baby everyone around her that lets her, and Phib would be more inclined to stick to the sidelines and try to figure the pride out. Both of them tend to be talkative- so I’m sure they have hordes of old people advice to dish out.
Phib and Améh are very proactive people- so they’d probably be very active members of whatever clan they’re in. I know I'm very interested in the RP here, so I'm willing to do anything you guys want.

They would never actually leave the pride, but Améh may appear elsewhere around the savannah to do healings. Her absence would probably go unnoticed, and not last for more then a day at the most.
And of course- she would leave if Phib died, as it would start getting obvious that she doesn’t age. [But I have no intention of ever rping that.]

None foreseeable at the moment. Phib does tend to clash with certain people; but he’s pretty well ordered in trying never to involve other people in his problems. Even if something did arise- it’s likely it would only affect him, and not the pride. [And as it is- there's nothing.]

Basically; Phib is a rough, but rather 'educated' lion; tragically gifted with a marshmellow for a heart.

I was hoping to get involved with this pride because ever since I learned about it, I was very interested. I felt that Shimah would fit in nicely here since it's not that large of a pride like the Pride Lands and it would possibly be a bit easier for her to feel at home. With a large pride like the Pride Lands, it's hard for her to actually become involved with the pride since there are so many lions and it can be a bit scary to her. If Shimah can get accepted into the pride, she'd definitely want to learn more about the clans and the Ela'wadiyi themselves. I can picture her going around trying to meet all the members of the Ela'wadiyi and making friends with them. Clan: Earth. I felt it was most appopriate because of her color and her name means "nature", though if she were placed in any other clan it's alright with me. Leaving the Pride: I have no intentions of having Shimah leave the pride for any reasons unless she was kicked out. Intent: Zimwi needs a safe place, and amid the Ela, he'd probably feel less like a sore thumb and more like a lion like he should, since he's afraid of most lions and the Ela might prove less frightening to him due to them being peaceful and small in number, thus easy for him to get to know everyone on a personal level than if he joined another pride or simply wandered as a rogue. It could also prove to be a good learning experience for him since the Ela, despite their numbers, have a larger variety to the coat colors and patterns than he'd see back in the Umande'mfuni jungle that he's been living in. He might make a good cubsitter, if there were such a position. He adores cubs, since they're small and can prove harmless to him(Unless they ganged up on him...), plus he hasn't really learned to hunt big game despite his age. He's also an excelent swimmer, so he could teach the cubs and juveniles how to swim so that if a flood should happen, they would stand at least some chance. He'd start with a small, still body of water, of course, like a pond or something.
Clan: Sky Clan
Leaving the Pride: The only reason for Zimwi to leave the pride that comes to mind as probable would be if he died somehow. So, just short of death... He'd be there to stay.
Possible Conflicts: The only problems he brings are his personal fears, but so long as he doesn't encounter hostility first and foremost, it shouldn't prove a problem.

She is mostly just following her mate, Zimwi; though, she does agree about common, safety reasons. She has been to Ela'wadiyi before (and met Juhudi [owner: Amon Larethian] as a result, but she has an innate want to just wander around. She has settled down a bit more since she now has Zimwi, but she didn't know that Zimwi wanted to go to Ela until he later mentioned going there for safety reasons... If they're accepted, they'll be mostly docile. Both Zimwi and Safura'miezi are non-violent, and have gentle personalities.
Clan: What clan are you hoping to have them join? Sky Clan (considering Safura's outgoing personality, she can go to any of the five clans, but since her mate has a slightly different kind of personality, she would head to the Sky Clan for Zimwi's sake)
Leaving the Pride: Are your lion(s) going to be leaving the pride again anytime soon, for any reason? I doubt it; once they settle, they won't be leaving at any point in time; Safura might leave every once in a while because she loves to wander, but she will always stay with her pride. She is loyal and always keeps her promises. Zimwi probably won't leave because he feels a sense of security and safetiness, and Safura would never leave her mate (not that she would ever leave the pride for any reason other than there was no choice).
Possible Conflicts: Is your character going to bring conflict/strife with it? if so, what kind/how? Hardly. Safura's conflicts are mostly within her own mind; she has a fear of the Firekin lions (since a rogue pride unknown to any other pride came into her life at a young age and killed her family) so she will only deal out her problems by herself. Otherwise, she's an outgoing, get-along-and-have-fun kind of girl.

Intent: Even since i saw the ela lineart and read about the clan i wanted to join or have an ela lion. Then i got Pona as a gift and i tought her colors and story was perfect to mix into the ela lands <3 Since Pona is bigger now and is an exellent huntress she would would probably be intressted in learning younger lions that have joined on how to hunt and she would probably play with them too ^^

Leaving the Pride: Probably not she lost her own pride and family at a very young age she still want to know what happend with them but since she met Ona (Kimaria) she has almost find a new family and is probably going to stay there to fin herself a possible mate to have her own family with.

father was gone, her mothers and 2 sisters and the rest off the

Leaving the Pride: I doubt very much she will leave the pride, I won't say no as I don't know how rp will go but at the moment I can't see her leaving the pride unless something very important came up.
Possible Conflicts: She isn't perfect. She won't go looking for fights but she can have strong opinions so it wouldn't be unlikely if she didn't get on with some lion(esses). She is overall rather nice and tolerant so it would only occur with maybe a personality clash.
Intent: She has always intended to return home, she got lost while the pride was moving so she never knew the way to the new lands. She has met Yua (Pach's boy) who is taking her home though where she is hoping to find her family and live together once again.

Intent: Janina originated in the Ela lands, but only lived for a short time within its quarters. She left the pride as a young Juvenile in search of her own answers, and plans on returning to the place of her birth. Once she is there, she plans on living there for the rest of her life in peace, and protection from the rouge lands.
Clan: Earth Clan, most likely.
Leaving the Pride: I don't see any reason why she'd want to leave once she rejoins the pride. xD Although, if there is any 'trouble' going on, she'd leave if she felt the need to, but I don't think I'd have her leave the pride randomly.
Possible Conflicts: Doubt it. I don't think a blind lioness could possibly do -any- harm to the current members of the pride. xD ~ Or even try to, at that.

Intent: Khepri’s intent is to figure out why she has voices in her head. She was told by a returned firekin that had once ben a wanderer, “go to the Ela’ and they’ll show you the light behind your own sanity or lack there of” so she left to find them. When she gets there she’ll end up finding that there really IS no way to rid her of them but she’ll stay all the same to bolster the numbers of the Earth Clan as she becomes friends with Adi’sa and to help bring peace to the lives of the cubs that she’s taken charge of from Mapenzi.
Clan: The Earth Clan under Adi’sa. She’s fairly down to earth and level headed, so it would make sense for her to end up in there. =O Not to mention Adi’sa will be the first Ela’ that she’ll be meeting so she’ll wind up in his Clan because she knows him.
Leaving the Pride: Oh gods no. XD She’s searched for the Ela’ ever since she was a cub and because of how long it took her not only will she never leave but she’ll rarely see the outsides of the prides boundaries unless she REALLY has to. The only thing that would ever make her go outside the prides boundaries would be to find food and rarely will she do that.
Possible Conflicts: She IS a firekin but that’s about the only thing that would bring any conflict because she resembles the lions that originally ravaged the Ela with sickness. She’s a naturally sweet female and she wouldn’t bring anything to the Ela’ that would intentionally cause any problems.

Intent: Zuko's reason for leaving the Ela was to escape the pain of his mother's death, and the mistreatment from his half-sister and their father. He left shortly after the pride began it's journey to new land. He's returning after his travels, hoping to find familiar faces, after finding out that it's the only pride that still feels like home.
Clan: Shadow (Birth clan) or Wolf
Leaving the Pride: Not long term. The only reason he might "leave" is to wander, and that only outside of the borders.
Possible Conflicts: Zuko tends to be a broody and troubled male, but he has a good heart buried under all the scars. He wouldn't intentionally start or encourage trouble. If anything, his journies have turned him into a better person, even if bitter. His own personal shortcomings he blames on no one but himself, and will usually be willing to help someone else in need, but will withdraw immediately before any thanks can be given.
