Soaring the thermals was the shape of a brilliant orange avian, her wings arched to catch yet another blast of wind to propel herself upwards into the brilliant blue. "Kweeeh!" For a moment she was joined with other birds, smaller flittish creatures who paused only to call out a greeting before twirling away.
Yes Kucha could get used to it here.
The air was fresh and the land beneath her was more beautiful than any other place she had ever set eyes on. She called again, her piercing cries even able to be heard from the land below where Ona'raha and Pona were nothing more than brownish smudges against the greenery.
"Kweeeh, kweeeeeh!" She turned on a wingtip, to fall back and join her companions, finally letting her wings collapse so that she could tumble downwards. For a moment it looked like she might hit the ground, but she was an expert of the sky and knew just the perfect moment to open up her wings, turning her path to follow the ground back to where the lions walked.
"How are you two kittens doing?" She chirped, letting herself perch upon the Ela lion's shoulder.
"Fine Auri'rubani!" The lion had nicknamed his familiar with somethign he thought more appropriate, especially if she was goign to stay with him. "Are we almost there? Are we almost home?" It seemed that now that he had food in his belly his mood had lightened and his shy nature around Pona had all but dissapeared.
Already the cub had shown signs of growth both in mind and body and as he turned to smile down at her he was glad that he had her as a friend. It was good to have company whilst Kucha was out flying and scouting.
"We must be getting close by now...right?" His ears flicked backwards sheepishly as he realised he was being impatient, his stride faltering as he sought to find the correct apology.
"Yes, yes, nearly there now!" She spoke up before the lion could apologise, patting him on the back with one wing whilst pointing with the other.
"See the row of trees there? Well, they mark the borders of your land! We're finally home Ona." She was so happy to have been able to lead him here after all the struggles he had been through to get here and was highly amused to take a glance into his face.
He looked rather surprised to say the least, no that wasn't right. He looked awe-struck!
Tears welled in the eyes of the young male, as he halted, staring straight ahead at those trees that seemed to be welcoming him into the lands he had searched for so long. "Home." He sniffed, turning his head back to nuzzle against Kucha. "You did it, you brought me home!" He bounced sideways, spinning around to face Pona. "We're home!" His cubbish antics had knocked Kucha from her perch and saw her flying over to land on a stone where she could watch the scene play out before her.
"We're home Pona!" The young male bounced forwards, nipping playfully at the other's ears and then for the first time in his life he tipped back his head and gave a tremendous roar.
He was home!

Pona just blinked and tried to figure out what Ona called his familiar friend? it was sure something nice and friendly because Ona would never do or say anything bad to anyone if he wasn't really mad or something hm that she didn't want to see.
She looked at him with her olivebrown eyes when he looked at her then she decided to take a look at the place he called home oh it was surrley very nice around here almost better then her old home but she didn't really care where she was living as long it was amoung friends and family.
The female couldn't help to giggle to Ona's strange behavior she sure was happy and she liked seeing him that he should smile like that more often.
She smiled towards Kucha as a thank you fro bringing Ona home so he could look this happy then she turned his head towards Ona again..
" Great! and home sounds very nice and specially this place it's wounderful! "
Then she got a surprized look on her face when Ona nipped on her ear he didn't use to do these kinds off think so she lost her balance and sat down on her bottom, and she started to lick on off his paws for why-did-you-making-me-loose-your-balance-you-silly!

"Oops! Sorry, are you okay? I didn't hurt you did I?" He lowered himself, nudging at the side of her face to encourage her to her feet. "Sometimes I don't know my own strength I guess." If he had been human he would have probably been bright red with embarassment but as it was his caramel fur hid such signs.
Instead it was only his slight nervous shuffling and his small whimpering sounds that gave away his emotions.
"Come on Pona, Auri'rubani, let's race to the trees!" And with that he had wheeled around and was off. His shoprt, stocky body moved across the ground, head held high so that the wind could tug the mane back away from his eyes. His paws moved with an energetic bounce and his gait - though slightly clumsy from his weakened state - was full of life once more.
He could smell the scent of other lions and though he did not recognise them it gave him hope that he would soon come face to face with his kin.
The tree drew closer and with each stride he took he felt the grief dissipate, leaving him buzzing with excitement.
And above him Kucha called, flying abreast the Ela'wadiyi as he headed for the trees. Her eyes were bright and her heart soared as she realised that slowly Ona was beginning to come out of his shell.
"Kweeeh!"

(( Hope you don't mind me joining.)) A little green cub was resting underneath a small tree. Her eyes gazed at the scenery around her, it was quite breath-taking. Shimah was happy to have had this opportunity to go explore with her friend.
Speaking of her friend...she had wandered off, away from Kianga to get a better look at things. It was then, that she could smell the scents of others. She perked up, scanned the area but didn't see anything but a small dot in the sky. A bird perhaps? "I wonder if anyone's here...it's so nice..." She whispered to herself quietly.

Pona shoke her little head so her small bangs fell down in her eyes.
" No i am ok i was just a little shocked you surprised me..you never use to do things so sudden like that "
But she gave him a positive smile because she liked him like that. She hoped she would become strong just like him one day and atletic so she could hunt good and help the others she they wouldn't just spoil her all the time.
" Yokay! "
Pona started running but she was very sure she would loose but it was a funny game between friends she couldn't be happier right now. She didn't even tried to look back while she was running she just wanted to beat the other 2, she really liked to be challenged.
When Pona reached the trees she didn't notice when it was to late and bumped into something green and soft.
She moaned and looked to the side to see what the green and fuzzy thing was..
(( it's ok Kooi ^^ i hope u don't mind Pona bumping into your green lion 0_o ))

Home, home, home! He was finally home! He raised his eyes to the clouds above and though the sky was grey it still held a warmth within it.
He raised his head to glance at Kucha as she swept above his head and turned his head back to see that Pona was joining in the race. He slowed his gait a little so that she could catch up with him and then continued towards the trees.
So caught up in his joy at being home he did not notice the green cub until Pona bumped into her and at seeing her a sudden fear gripped his heart.
A stranger! Here in his homeland! For a moment he stood still, silent and staring fearfully, holding back a few strides behind his juvenile companion. Then swallowing fearfully he fell back into his old routine of shyness and dropped onto his belly, hoping that the grass would hide him.
The orange avian in turn dropped to perch upon the branch of the tree that the stranger was beneath and tipped herself forward, head cocked to the side as she glanced down at the new little cub. So many darlings that needed to be cared for!
How wonderful!
She twittered joyfully, her gaze scannign the ground before falling upon Ona'raha, his cowering form only half covered by the grass.
"Poor dear..." She whispered to herself.

No sooner had those words left Shimah's mouth did she feel something bump into her. It brought back memories of her youngest brother, jumping on her. Falling back, legs spread out and vision slightly blurred, she was a sight to see.
She shook her head to clear her vision, and when the outlines of figures started to define, her golden eyes grew big. There were two lions here! A small one, the one that had bumped into her, and a larger one, that looked quite scared of her.
She pushed herself up to her feet and gave them a small smile. This was surely a surprise, and a nice one at that! She took a few steps towards the smaller of the two and tilted her head slightly, "Are you alright? You're not hurt or anything, are you?" It was quite a bump, and hopefully the other wasn't hurt or anything. Her golden eyes turned to the larger lion and blinked. He looked scared...scared of her? In a soft voice, "Hi."

Pona sat down and shoke her head she felt a little dizzy but she was fine in a few minutes she would be back to her old self. She blinked and looked at the rather strange and green cub, could cubs really have un natrual colors like green? so weird..
" Oh i am ok just a little dizzy...i couldn't stop my legs from running "
She laughed and then smiled towards the green colored cub then she looked at Ona..hmm now he looked scared again...she sighed when would he realize that cubs like these was never any danger to him and how would he ever find a nice female when he growed up if he continued to be scared off all females he met..
She patted on Ona's paw and stroke her little head against his leg..
" Don't worry Ona i am sure the little cub is just lost we tend to get lost often "
She hoped that would calm him down.

He was very grateful for Pona's comforting, eyes leaping from her to the green cub and then up to Kucha who was perched in the boughs above them. The shade from the tree was delightful and yet he couldn't shake the uncomfortable feeling that maybe this wasn't home after all.
He was supposed to meet others of his kind, not strange green creatures!
He shivered and lowered himself further, wishing that he could turn invisible so that he couldn't be spotted. He knew it was rude not to reply but his throat felt thick and useless and before he knew it he was backing up to try and hide his large bulk behind the young juvenile.
Never before had he seen such strange markings, what was she? Some sort of creature cursed by the spirits to walk with a pelt so unnatural? Ona was scared of things he knew nothing about and he had seen fur only of earthy browns and dark nights. None of his clan had ever possesed fur that was greener than grass!
A small whine finally made it's way free from his throat but he said nothing from his position behind Pona, hoping that the young female would protect him if need be.
Kucha gave a small sigh but remained silent for now. She was already coming to realise that she couldn't jump to Ona's side at every obstacle. If he was going to get better then he had to learn himself that not every stranger was out to get him.

Shimah sighed in relief as she looked at the smaller female. It was nice to hear that she wasn't hurt. "It's alright, no harm done." She smiled, emphasizing her point. "Oh!" She blinked and flicked her tail, "How silly of me. I'm Shimah and I went on an adventure with my friend looking for the Ela'wadiyi lands. I kind of lost her and that's when I stumbled on to the two of you." She introduced herself and her intentions of why she was here.
She looked at the larger lion and noticed the scared look on his face. What didn't know was the thoughts about her odd coloration that ran through both of their heads. To her, she was normal and it didn't occur that it might not be for others. She heard his whine and just gave him a small smile. "I'm Shimah, it's nice to meet you. I hope I'm not scaring you or anything...I wouldn't hurt you." She looks to the small female, "He reminds me of my younger brother."

Pona made a weird face while seeing Ona slinking up behind her what was he doing? hiding? for god sake she was smaller then him he couldn't hide behind her. She sighed and patted him with her tail he get over it one day but what was this fear for pups? but she was glad she had a normal colored maybe that helped him accept her better.
She smiled towards the green female and admired her markings those where pretty!
" You have pretty markings! very special but cute "
She said sweetly and looked up at Ona again she felt a little nervous having him behind her whould he do this all the time when he met someone new?
" Don't mind this weird friend off mine he is just being silly "

Ona's ears drooped and he shuffled back away from both females. Cubs they may have been but they were still very strange. And whilst he was growing accustomed to Pona this new cub was too strange.
Never before had he set eyes upon such a strange sight before! Lions just weren't supposed to be that colour.
She was like the snake in the story his mother had often told to him and that could not be a good thing! The snakes weer bad things, they killed and poisoned!
He caught Pona's gaze but only shrunk back further, ears pinned back against his skull. "P-Pona." His voice was a nervous whisper. "She has the m-markings of a snake!"
Up above Kucha gave a small, low cheeping sound and with a flick of her wings fluttered down to settle upon the shoulder of the adolescent.
"There, there Ona' it's okay my love." She crooned softly, the feathers on her back flexing slightly as she tried to calm the poor, timid lion.

Shimah smiled at Pona, unsure of how to take the compliment. She wasn't one that always gotten compliments from others about her coat and markings. Shyly looking at the cub, "Thanks." And then, her golden eyes looked at Ona as he was being comforted by a bird. Ah, so it was a bird that she saw earlier. At least her eyes weren't decieving her. Her ears perked forward, "A snake?" She's never seen a snake before and has no idea what they look like.

Pona rolled her eyes at Ona he was really blind sometimes you could never judge the outside when you didn't know the inside or the eprsonality off another creature her father had tought her that. She sighed and patted Ona's paw with one off hers she had to teach him how to get courage later.
" Ona! you can never judge anymore from looking at the outside how do you know she might not be the opposite off a snake? "
Pona was smart for her age she know more then she supposed to but the world probably made her grown up a little to fast.
" I am sure you are nothing like a snake...because snakes are mostly evil and sneeky "

But it was too late. Fear had struck in and no amount of logic was going to get through to him now. His eyes were fixed fearfully upon the green pelt and in his mind's eye he could see the snake hissing and lunging, fangs ready to sink into his flesh and poison him.
He knew the stories!
So slowly he backed up and only when he was far enough away did he turn and flee. His legs going as fast as possible across the ground.
He ahd to get home, he had to find someone to save him from the snake who took the form of a lion!
