"Are you -sure- I'm going the right way?"

To anybody else, it would've seen like an odd spectacle, something they would never do, for fear someone would question how mentally stable they were. But it was Yua, and for him, speaking to a peice of air next to his head seemed like the best idea in the world. Afterall, to him, there was a transparent apparition looming there, giggling and telling him that -yes-, what he was looking for -was- that way.

He was, however, starting to doubt if he should've have trusted floating beings who were of the dead sort.

Afterall, they had a tendancy of being a little crazy.

In fact, this one led him right on path of a rock, which he toppled RIGHT over and went rolling (and anybody who was a rater of rolling, would have most likely thought this to be the most lovely roll in the world), popping right back up to his feet from mid-roll when he'd lost enough momentum.

"I'm ALRIGHT!" he decreed aloud, though to nobody in particular, before his olive colored eyes shifted up to the non-existant figment of his imagination.

"Was I supposed to do that?"

Tailsin was wandering around as she had been for a while, she would never run off again, never! She had been such an adventerous cub and it had led her to get lost.

Now however she was wandering, getting herself more lost then ever. "Damn it." She snarled at herself and looked at the sky. Then she heard a voice.

Her head tilted slightly and looked around, "Hello? Who is there?" She blinked a little, she hadn't seen another lion for months. She was getting hot and was about to find some shade but another lion was more important right now, she needed to get home after all.

Ears perking up, Yua's fur bristled at the sudden sound of his 'silence' (afterall, he had been expecting to hear his own voice..), which had surprised him so. He'd thought he'd been alone out here. Go figure to have not been.

Almost automatically, the adolescent rogue flattened himself down against the ground, a psuedo-defense mechanism, and spread apart the grasses (though short they may have been...) to peer through them.

As he looked about, it seemed to him that he was going to find absolutely nothing, until a rather living being caught his eyes, causing Yua even more panic. Not only was it another living being.. it was FEMALE.

And Yua had a history with 'that sort'. Not to say he didn't -try- to be polite.. but...

So he'd simply try to not be seen...... but it was hard to expect the loud yelp he'd let out upon trying to 'hide' himself would go unnoticed..

She had turned suddenly at the yelp, after all she wasn't one to leave someone hurt alone. She hadn't seen him go down but had a rouge idea where he was so the black femme headed in his direction.

Her golden eyes caught sight of something in the grass which was not the same colour as the grass nor did it look like grass in anyway. "Being grass isn't a clever way to hide, especially if you are hurt. I heard you cry out or something similar. Are you ok?" She spoke softly and calmly, her eyes scanning over his body slightly, there were markings on him that seemed somewhat like her own.

"Where are you from?" She could ask couldn't she? There was no harm in that at least.

"I'mnothurt."

He said it quickly, in a typical stubborn 'teenager' manner, though he himself was nearly an adult in age, after all the time he'd been alive. At least physically, mentally, he still had some growing up to do, and -that- would take as much time as it had to.

Almost paranoidly, when the stranger eyed his pelt, he lifted a paw, and attempted to cover the markings, as if ashamed of them. The inquiry the female gave was quickly returned with a stern leer as he continued (in vain, and pointlessly) to try and cover himself with his paws.

The attempts threw him onto his back and left him laying on his side, and staring up at Tailsin with a blank expression, before squeaking and almost seeming to scramble back up, and into a sitting position.

Indeed, he wasn't the most 'graceful' of anything.

"The nowhere pride of the nowhere clan."

Little did Yua know, the pride of his birth was the only one that -used- clans.. therefore such a little thing was likely to surrender his origins.

She chucked at him, he reminded her of young cubs which weren't the most clever of things, he was amusing, that was for sure.

She gathered he wasn't happy about the pride or clan he came from but he did give her the information she needed.

"I was born of the Shadow clan. I cant recall of a nowhere clan and I am almost certain that it wasn't called the nowehere pride either." She countinued to speak softly and carefully, he did seem a little immature for his age but she didn't mind.

"I am Tailsin. If you are indeed from the lands of which I was also born, could you show me the way home? I am lost." She looked to the ground as she said about being lost she hated to admit it, but if he could take her home then maybe it was worth admitting it, this once.

"What is your name?" She wished to know that whether he would agree to taking her or not, but at the same time she would bug him alot if he said no. He was the only way of getting home at the moment and she wasn't going to lose it.

The amusement that was gotten out of his mannerisms irked him to a certain degree, setting him to flatten his ears back against his head irritably.

"I have denounced my family and come from no clan." he explained quickly, keeping his expression as straight as he could, though it was rather obvious his eyes had darkened a bit. However, the tone of voice he was spoken to with did well to calm his nerves enough for him to shed the dorky mannerisms, but only after he lifted a leg and held it out straight in front of him, checking the distance, before shifting a bit to ammend it to what, apparently, it was supposed to be.

"If I may, perhaps, I do know of the lands you are seeking, though I cannot garuntee that I can get you to them without problem or complaint."

While he was the type to fear the female-sort, he was, at least, polite enough to be unable to turn down such a polite request. It would've been mean of him to say no!

"As for who I am, I am Yua'Lopoka, of the Mila family."

The nonsense spoken of tradition.

Tailsin listened to him carefully. She couldn't understand why someone would leave their family like he had but was grateful that he would take her home.

"May I call you Yua? Instead of your whole name?" She smiled softly still, she didn't want to make a bad impression just incase the male decided that taking her home wasn't what he wanted to do.

"I can live with problems and complaints." She had thought about this for a while, which is why she had mentioned something about his name first. She got irritated with moaning but then, if she got home, it was worth putting up with.

"Thank you." She was incredibly grateful and was already planning or thinking of a way to repay him as he obviously did not like his home lands.

"It's what most know me by, so yes." In fact, Yua preferred the shorter name for reasons he'd not spoken of, and probably never would again.

When the female spoke that she could handle problems and complaint, a sort of grin formed on his face as he shook his head. "I never said they'd be from me." he explained, with a sort of coy knowingness that simply came with how well he knew himself.

Almost on que, a sort of annoyed expression came over his face, before he lifted a paw and swatted at the air next to him, staring at it sternly, before frowning and muttering at it in a hushed, though angry-sounding, tone; "Do you -MIND-? I'm talking to her," the paw pointed to Tailsin, "right now, I can't listen to you try to make me trip over a rock again..."

Indeed, it was a small sign of the possible 'problems' he'd spoken of.

She was happy that he allowed her to call him by the shorten name, it was easier for her to remember. She also found it amusing when he said that it would be her complaining, she tried not to most of the time, but it was possible.

Any nice thoughts about meeting a perfectly sane lion vanished in an instant as he started to speak to himself. She just looked at him blankly and rather confused. She didn't dare say anything in case she offended him but, was he insane?

It passed by within a few moments, as he 'shooed' the problem away, and looked back to Tailsin, noting the odd look upon her face. Indeed, she'd seen it before. ".. Wiza reacted in the same to such." he stated, frowning a bit, though he spoke the name like it was acid, something that he, unfortunately, had to come into contact with, but spat away as quickly as he could.

"But maybe they will make themselves understand someday... maybe."

Rising up, Yua looked about, pondering on direction (as he himself had no true internal compass...). Afterall, this stranger would probably wish to get away from him as quickly as possible now that she'd seen what had become of this 'sanity.'
PostPosted: Wed Dec 06, 2006 8:18 am

The tone of his voice scared her a little but she dismissed it making a note never to ask about this 'Wiza' whoever it was. She was however still rather confused at what it was he was saying it was as if he was speaking riddles.

"Understand what?"

She watched him a little and though he was confusing and maybe insane she had no one else to take her home, so no matter what, she would have to not whine nor complain and take things as they are. If he was insane, then, maybe she could try and help him in return, though how, well that would take some thinking.

"This thing that has plagued me for as long as I can remember, yet, at the same time, nobody else can see it. It's almost as if everybody besides me is blind to them. Perhaps it is simply a test for me." he explained, while still being as vague as he could. It was a habit he'd grown into, outside of the pride. He had to learn to not explain what his problem was.

As hard as that was.

Shrugging a bit, he then stated; "Though I would say that you are allowed the smack me if it gets too bad, and you want me to stop talking to myself. We don't want you losing your head over my problems, now do we?"

A sort of smirk formed over his expression, before he rose up to his feet, his eyes searching around, though for what, was unknown.

She looked at him while he spoke listening carefully to what it was that he was saying. "Does that mean you are like those lions you can see into the past and future?" She had heard stories of them but never met one.

"I wont hit you, maybe just moan a little as you said earlier." She smiled, she wouldn't hit someone who was taking her home especially if he was one of these special lions as well.

She also looked around but didn't know what he was looking for so stopped. She just waited, wondering about what home would be like now, amoungst all those lions, her mother and father. She couldn't wait to see them all.

The inquiry was met with a quick shake of the head. "No. I've met such beings, but myself am not one. At least not to my knowledge. My sight takes on a different... more harassing form at times. I would have to believe I am the only one I know who bares such a curse."

He didn't sound to be complaining about whatever the 'problem' was, however, but did chuckle at Tailsin's statement. "I would not blame you. But unless these apparitions decide to show themselves to you as well, it would be hard to understand."

Finally, Yua chose a direction, nodding a bit. It felt right to him at least, so he started to walk in it. "Shall we go, then?"
