A soft wind blew the short and thin fur of the red lioness around like waves across her body, fluttering over her smooth and shiny scars like they were chasms. Her golden eyes were closed in sleep as her back rose and fell with every deep breath she took into her lungs, her large body making it much harder to see.
Khepri, as she'd been known as for many months, was the largest of all her kind, larger than the largest of all males and built like a rhinocerous. It wasn't as if she'd wanted to be this large, in fact thanks to her size and her incredibly thick accent that came from no where, Khepri was looked down upon as a completely knuckle head. This of course being further from the truth than anything in the world, no other knew that.
However, for now the large red body was completely stasis, muscles lax and her eyes completely still behind white lids. It had been a long time since the ex-firekin had been able to lay down and sleep, her quest for the Ela' keeping her up most of the time. So now it was nice for her to just... rest. ninja

He was walking tonight, he had received pleasant slumbers for teh past few days. It made him smile, being able to sleep peacefully, he had almost completely forgotten about his brother. Yes, his stupid brother thr great brute. But he hadn't seen or heard anything about him for a while. K'Anatak wondered if he had been reborn.
K'Anatak slowly made his way around, then his black eyes settled on something nearby, a red thing? He padded clsoer, tred quietly as not to wake one if they slept peacefully.
His eyes fell upon that of a lioness, a large one to say the least. Bright red, but she slept so peacefully, so calmly, he dare not wake her. She looked happy in her sleep, so he merely stayed his few yards away and settled himself down to just watch her.
An angel in her sleep she seemed to be.

Paws curling and uncurling, Khepri felt the eyes of something on her and her golden eyes snapped open. Before her was a large white lion... so large that for a moment se actually thought it was Athrun, but her brain jogged instantly.
No... that wasn't Athrun, he didn't have a blindfold and he was far too large and fluffy to have been Athrun. Not to mention the abscence of the red mane and tail and blood tendrils on the chest. This was a simple god, one that Khepri didn't know the realm to and was far too afraid to cross even if she did.
"Ah... 'llo there." Khepri said, her voice slurred naturally but even more so by the last foggy brushes of sleep that were trying to clasp at her mind. "Wha' brin's yo' all th' way ovah to a sleepin' lioness?"
A bemused look crossed her face as the large red female sat up. Her shoulders rolled and she suddenly appeared to be even larger than before, as was habit since she tucked all four legs under her body when she slept. No, Khepri was a monster born to a pride full of monsters. She shouldn't have existed, her body far too large to have helped her on the desert. Out here on her own though.... this was where she belonged. Looking for the Ela out on a hopeless search.
But this god.... ninja

K'Anatak smiled at her. She had a strange manner of speaking, an accent upon her tongue. It was intriguing, he hadn't heard such a strong one before. "I do hope I did not disturb you my dear. I was merely walking this night, happened upon you. I did not wish to wake you, so I stayed close by to watch you sleep, watch over you. Some out here can be dangerous my dear. Just stayed for your safety, I hope you do not mind..."
He smiled and stepped a few feet closer, then sat back upon his haunches again and smiled at her. So red, the red reminded him of that goddess. But this female was different, and so so large. He had never seen a regular lioness this large. Goddesses could be large, but this...this was a bit different to him.
"My name is K'Anatak," he said soothingly and low, bowing his head to her, ruffling his feathers a bit, "I am the god of reflection, may I ask for your name?"

Someone this large was talking to her? Though Khepri had to admit that it was nice to meet someone that rivaled her for size, but it wasn't like a god would suprise her. Khepri had met a god once in her life, actually she'd bumped into him quite a few times, lead him to the Maziko where he'd suddenly dissapeared with tears in his eyes for the loss of his son.
Though life was a shock anymore, Khepri had gotten used to being overlooked at one moment and then held in awe the next moment for her incredibly monstrous size. It wasn't something she was proud of per-se, but she had to admit that it had its bonuses in her life.
Standing slowly, Khepri ruffled her short fur softly and yawned; when she hit her full size she no longer had to look up to see the god, she could simply look at him and blink tiredly. She wasn't large enough to rival a god but she was just short of it, er slanted shoulders the only thing keeping her from it.
"Yah didn' disturb nothin', no worries." She smiled gently at him and nodded slowly, still waking up. "God o' Reflection... yer as white as one o' th' gods Ah met in meh life. Ah'm Khepri, don' really got a title to be called. " ninja

K'Anatak chuckled as she spoke, Kherpi was her name? Such an interesting one, perhaps it had something to do with her fire pelted self? Perhaps she was of another pride he had not seen yet. "Another white god? I must say, I have not seen any white gods in my lifetime, only my father, who is far from the white pelt that I hold."
"Such an interesting name Kherpi with an interesting appearance, so fiery you appear to be." he was glad though that he had not disturbed her, very very glad.
"What might one as yourself be doing out here all alone Kherpi? Are you headed somewhere?" If she was, perhaps he knew of the place. Then he could help guide her there, though he did believe she would have no trouble fending herself from other dangerous lions out here. She seemed quite able on ehr own.

"Yeah. "e's as white as yo', but 'e's got blood on 'im an' stuff..." Khepri shrugged slightly, she didn't know any other gods aside from Athrun and this large male. Though Athrun was somewhat large this male was considerably larger for a good reason, he WAS an adult after all, Athrun was stuck in the body of an adolescent.
"Fiereh?" the little ex-firekin took a long moment to ponder that statement. Was she really firey looking? Or was it just her fur? Probably just her fur. "Ah guess so... Ah nevah looked at it tha' way tho', Ah ran awah from alla that."
Golden eyes flashed slightly and she looked down at her white paws demurly. She wasn't a viscious lion, in fact she was quite the opposite, she was far too kind. She'd let herself be hurt and scarred just to help another lion that was a slave in her kind's lands and then she didn't even care two ways about it.
"Ah'm lookin' fer th' Ela'. Yo' know where they are?" She glanced up at the huge god once more quizzically. ninja

K'Anatak nodded, "Yes, you appear as the flame of a fire, its a good thing in my sight Kherpi. Fire is life in a different form, provides warmth and comfort at times, it can protect. That is what I meant with my words I assure you," he said with a nod and a smile.
He flicked his tail and pulled his wings close to himself, his legs were warmer this night because of the extra pair he had on his legs. He tilted his head and closed his eyes, trying to remember.
The Ela?
K'ANatak wasn't familiar with them sadly, he felt saddened because she was looking for those he had not come across yet. "Sadly I have not, but I could find someone that does Kherpi if you would like me to on my travels, if you don't find them by the time I see you again.
That is, if I may come find you again."

The fact that he pronounced her name wrong didn't really phase her, it was always like that. Granted her gravely accent didn't entirely help her out with that very much.
"Fire... Ah guess ya could say Ah'm fire. Ah usually like watah more tho'." Khepri shurgged slowly and licked at a paw amiably and grinned mischeviously up at him. "But Ah guess ya could call meh tha' if yo' wanna."
Fire... it was an element she thought she didn't have any longer. Granted Khepri was incredibly linked to water thanks to her thin fur and how quickly the sun burned her scarred skin, but that didn't entirely matter right then. Fire could also burn, fire could also heal, it could keep somone safe if they used it right.
"Not many do. It's sad, but Ah'm sure Ah'll find 'em someday. Ah still 'ave mah hope." She made a face when he looked sad, she didn't like seeing sad faces, she liked to help make the sadness go away. ninja

K'Anatak smiled when she made a face. Did she not like seeing sadness in others? Perhaps, he didn't much like it either, so perhaps he shouldn't make sad faces every time he cannot help a friend. "If I do come across anyone who knows about them, I shall try to find you Khepri," he said with a nod, "That way at least I may have some hope in helping you reach your goal."
She was fire, in some sense in his eyes. Not all fires raged, some were calm as the ocean waves he had watched many a time.
He wondered where she was from, but he didn't want to press onto memories that might be harmful, he knew what could happen in those situations.
"If I may ask Khepri, why are you searching for the Ela, are you looking for someone who may be there?" he asked curiously.

Leaning her red and white head to the side as the god spoke, Khepri tried not to look completely confused. He wanted to help her, that gave her a little hope, but why would he want to help her at all?
This god seemed fairly calm, like water was when it reflected like a mirror.
God of reflection after all she supposed.
"Well... Ah'm lookin' for 'em so tha' Ah can get rid o' these voices tha' are makin' mah 'ead 'urt." Khepri said slowly. "Ah was told ta go an' find 'em cuz they could 'elp get rid o' 'em."
Khepri wasn't entirely sure if she really wanted to give the entire reason to this guy, cuz she was embarrased by the fact. She just wanted to find some peace in her life, that was the main reason. ninja

He nodded in acknowledging why she was trying to find them. To find somewhere to go where some may be able to help you in something you wished to be rid of, was admirable. He smiled at her softly, blinking his black eyes stayed on her form. "I understand, then I do hope that you find them soon, if that is what you wish to do..."
Voices?
Strange.
K'Anatak had voices too, voices of what he should and shouldn't do. Constant reflection sometimes, it was a hassle, but it helped, perhaps even made him a better god by doing it. Using his own power from his realm upon himself to better himself for this plain. Yes, that was a good thought.
He looked around, peered with his blackened eyes, he wondered which way the Ela might be.

A smile spread over her white muzzle and Khepri nodded to the large god in turn, her golden eyes blinking gently as she did so. It was nice to be understood, even if it was by a god.
"Thank yo'." Khepri said gently, her large body slowly standing up so that she could begin to go and find where she was supposed to be again. It was time.
No... you need to just lie down and STAY down.
Yeah really, you embarras us.
The large lioness wanted to shake her head and clear it, but there wasn't really a way to do that. Besides, she couldn't make friends with another god, it just wasn't... normal. Or maybe it was normal but Khepri didn't want too many friends on her travles to the Ela', she would mis them far too much when she got there and never looked back. ninja

K'Anatak tilted his head, watched her as she stood. Perhaps she would be heading off again, perhaps he should too. Somewhere, someone might need his assistance, perhaps he could search out some of his other friends, he now longed to see them.
"Do not thank me, you have given me hope in perhaps I might find a place to call home one day Khepri, I do wish you luck on your travels," he stood and stretched, fluttered his wings and peered towards teh sky. It wasn't too damp out, flying could and probably was the best idea he had for traveling at this moment.
"I do hope to see you again..." he smiled and padded in one direction slowly, to find somewhere to soar off of into the sky, he didn't rather feel like jumping into the wind this night.
