❀A Glance at the Past: Before the Weyr_________________________________________
Born into a family of Vintnercraft folk, Narisa has grown up among the smell of the grapes and sweet scents of the brewery. Her father is a well established and higher up Journeyman that could be a Master one day but has never taken that next step up. He is happy where he's at and with the fellow vintners he works with. Starting from an early age, Narisa's father was teaching her about the different grapes and fruits specially grown for the wines, the fruits used for ciders and ales as well as the herbs to spice things up and help give their drinks that right kick.
Being too young to actually work with the alcoholic drinks (at least too young by her parents standards), Narisa has branched off and started an apprenticeship that focused on ciders. She is able to brew a few of her own ciders without the assistance of a journeyman ranked vintner. When not brewing, she is being taught how to carve the wooden stoppers and make the lipid seals for vegetables. A small section of the gardens have been marked aside for the apprentices to claim a portion of and perfect their skills in growing their ingredients.
Once she hit the age of 17, she began being schooled for the possibility of testing to be of journeywoman rank. Her father has taught her what he knows and has expectations for her to walk in his shoes. All this was met with a big smile and a fully prepared Narisa.
Then something that none of them expected. A Rider came to their Hall on Search. Narisa was chosen as a candidate. She was shocked like most candidates surely were, and could only sputter out responses as the Rider spoke to her. He even walked her out and introduced her to his dragon. A fine beast it was. Between both man and dragon, they explained what it meant to be Searched as Narisa had only heard from word of mouth what it meant. It was a big deal and she had asked for the chance to talk with her parents. Both her mother and father were hesitant to support this at first but after talking it over with the Rider, they were pleased that such good fortune had befallen their daughter. Parents smiling proudly, Narisa was soon taken to Trine Weyr where she began learning what Weyr life was like.

Description: Narisa stands at about 5'6" at her fullest (with an inch or so added from the small heel of her boots). Her hair is short in length, going a little below her chin and auburn in color though it looks a deeper red at night. Light blue eyes will gaze out at you always with a smile and maybe a small hint of mischief. When Narisa smiles, it is a pretty thing that seems to brighten up her already soft and warm features. She tends to wear a nice purple corset top that is never too tight as she has to be able to move and pick up things or something equally nice and appealing to the eye. Never wears skirts unless it is a formal occasion and always boots on her feet. Narisa will never be caught in those ankle breakers called heels! Wrapped around her waist you can also find a ragged sash. This is there for when Narisa is assisting with the brewing of ciders and needs something to wipe her hands off quickly with. Overall, her appearance is usually clean and presentable as one never knows when a customer might show up or an interested party.
Personality:
❀Ambitious❀ Narisa is an ambitious woman wanting to do her family proud. She works hard at learning the art of brewing and isn't afraid to jump in and assist the journeymen. She takes care to tend her small section of the garden, raising her ingredients for ciders. Right now, ciders are her skill point but she has been watching and observing the brewers of the alcoholic drinks as well. One day she hopes to be a skilled vintner.
❀Devotion❀ Narisa has also become very devoted to those she works with as well as her actual work of brewing. She does not take it to the extreme in saying she will always choose a loyalty with the vintners over everything else, but she is loyal to them and her family. It is all she has really learned and she is very happy working as a vintner. Since Narisa has only been in the Vintnercraft, she has not had the opportunity to discover how her devoted nature would be applied to being a Rider or any other groups of people. She simply has not left her home and craft before.
❀Openness❀ She is not one to hide her feelings on something and will share her secrets with you. Not that she has many. Most of her 'secrets' revolve around experimentation on growing grapes and fruits. She won't hide if she is hurt from you but won't lay her problems on another. Narisa is always willing to hear new ideas and 'thinks outside of the box', not being hidebound. This openness also makes her an easy person to talk to and she is rarely shy.
❀Self-doubt❀ This flaw is not strong enough to incapacitate her or send her into a mental fit where you might find her so down in the dumps that she won't be willing to work, but Narisa tends to second guess her decisions and feels that she has made the wrong choice sometimes. When working with her grapes and fruits, she is always wondering and feeling that maybe she didn't put enough water on them or feed them enough fertilizer to grow. If her parents praise her, she has been known to question whether they are saying it to appease her or if they really are proud. Narisa can be harsh on herself some of the time and it takes many attempts or doing and redoing something before she feels some inkling of doing it right. This is something she has been working hard to overcome, but it still remains a part of her nature.

Drinking!- What? She works at the Vintnercraft! She's had her fare share of drinks and won't say no to sitting down with a group of friends to have a few rounds of drinks.

Personality: Cepheith is a gold that knows her place and is comfortable in that knowledge – she doesn’t need to prove herself or impress her importance on others. This confidence is deeply rooted and powerful, making her the sort of personality that people notice. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind and sees no reason not to speak to people other then Hers, it is her opinion and you have yours and as long as her opinion is recognized and respected there are no problems. However, should someone slander her or needlessly criticize/be petty, Cepheith can have an explosive temper. She is as intelligent as she is confident and often runs circles around those she argues with. Should someone keep up with quick, sharp wit, she may pursue debate simply for the entertainment and challenge. Indeed, much like a Supergiant, she can spontaneously burst into frenzied activity – be it organizing, training, moderating dragons, leading (to the point of nit picking) or mating. Her peers will have to learn to handle these sudden, intense bursts of activity and Hers will also need to learn to channel this energy constructively as when the mood strikes her, it is often applied to all aspects of her life and can be both damaging and productive.
This is most notable during her mating flights – she may be average in size but her sheer reserves of energy enables her to fly long and hard. Only those who provide a challenge for her will be allowed to catch her but beware, just because you’re close doesn’t mean she’ll accept you. Cepheith can and will tear at an unacceptable male and heavens forbid a second gold Rise – the two will surely fight to the death.
Cepheith is strong, bold, and noticed not for being flashy but for her passion. Intelligent and proud, this gold requires someone who has an equally strong personality who can keep up with or at least soften the edges of Cepheith’s passion. This dragon may get angry but she will never fall down – there’s simply too much energy and drive and presence in Cepheith to succumb to depression. The Weyr will certainly have their hands full with this fearless new leader!
Why me?
As with many pairs, Cepheith and Narisa share some similarities but also have some key differences. Both of them are open and honest and each also has ambition, desire to succeed in life. Cepheith - as an intelligent gold who knows her role in life - recognized Narisa's great capacity for loyalty and believes that she can turn it from the Vintnercraft to service of the Weyr. This confident queen will be able to compensate for Narisa's lack of self-confidence and will drive her on to act with great passion, but equally those moments of question from Narisa will be key in keeping Cepheith from getting too carried away during her bursts of frenzied activity.

Red Supergiant

❀The Impression_________________________________________
Rumbling and fairly pulsing with aimless intent, the Gold wandered for several moments, the brown tagging along beside her, trying (and failing) to bring some sort of direction to the queen. She was fairly burning with energy and emotion and so it was that when she finally found hers, the gold stopped suddenly and looked up at Narisa with big, passionate eyes, Your Cephieth is hungry Narisamine. Feed me.
That was all she said as she waited a moment for hers to come along, leaving the brown with center stage. It took a moment for him to realize this and he crooned happily when he did, capering about the girls before zooming over to the boys. Whatever and however he Impressed was sure to be eye catching.

The vintner girl watched as the Gold confidently commanded the Brown to follow and fairly quickly, both dragonets walked among them, nosing at girls and inspecting them (or at least the Gold was) closely. That awe was still there and unceasing the longer she watched the Golden queen. And the brown. He was like the little sibling that wanted to be as cool as his older sibling (even though they were the same age). It was amusing and a small giggle escaped watching him follow like a puppy.
When the Gold beauty stopped and regarded one of the girls - she wasn't sure on her name - carefully, that scrutinizing gaze. Narisa thought that surely, that must be the one that would be Hers (as did probably a lot of others). But to her surprise, the Gold merely flared her wings and pushed forward. Literally pushed forward. Knocking down the girl she'd been staring so intently at. A small gasp of worry escaped as she watched her fellow candidate get....stomped upon? A little spitfire indeed. She remembered feeling something like that from the egg when they had the Touching. Thankfully, from what she could tell, the girl was alright. Just maybe slightly wounded pride.
And shock number two. The same girl that had been pushed down by the haughty Gold was reacting. In anger. She was sassing back at the young queen, letting her own haughty attitude out to shine. Narisa sucked in a breath and watched as the young Gold stopped moving forward to turn back towards the shouting girl. The look in the Gold's eyes was dangerous. And when she began to stalk the Candidate girl, it really didn't surprise the auburn haired girl. She could sort of relate. But she had never dealt with arrogant patrons that could kill you. Oh shards! That was going to happen right now, wasn't it?! She wanted to do something. And found herself stuck just watching. What could someone like her have done to help the other girl? Watching on with wide eyes, the sudden appearance of the senior queen and mother of the clutch came as a huge relief. She had this covered. Thank Faranth. That would have put a bad tabu on this hatching.
Still watching the large Queen remain by the angered candidate, shock number three all but ran into her. Almost literally. The warm confident voice that entered her mind made Narisa gasp and stare into the large passionate eyes looking up at her.
Your Cephieth is hungry Narisamine. Feed me. The Gold beauty demanded, waiting a moment before heading off to where she could be fed. She knew Hers would follow.
She could only blink in utter shock. W-Was she hearing things? Or-
Of course not. I would not pick someone crazy. They are not good enough. That voice informed her breezily with a small hint of amusement, hunger, and irritation at having to explain this. I- Forgive me, Golden love! Cephieth. I come. Of course she did. She stumbled once before picking up her confident stride and moving quickly to catch up to her Golden queen who was moving quite quickly off the sands and towards those feeding tables.
Don't shove any more people out of your way, Golden one. It's not ladylike. A snort was her response followed by a gentle nuzzle along her side. Narisamine. I am hungry! Feed me. Laughing, Narisa gave the golden hide a pat and did as she was bidden once they reached the feeding tables.

Age: Hatchling
Size: Average to small.
Personality: Definitely not the brightest flitter around. She tends to forget things quickly. Something that happened in the morning she won't remember in the evening. The day before? Yeah right. She does seem to be able to remember some things so long as it's continuous and reoccurs over and over again. Like Her person. She knows Narisa's face quite well. And Cepheith. Though the Gold one confuses her sometimes. Will she be that big too? No? Is there something wrong with her? No? Oh well....she's going to go sit with her person now. That is her person, see? See?! Hallow also loves to try and be helpful. This can be retrieving a shirt for Narisa from the floor, trying to grab a scrub brush as big as she is to help wash Cepheith, or find that scary thing that was under the sheets that Narisa keeps saying is her toes. And they wiggle! Overall, Hallow has a fairly short term memory but is a sweet little green who will try her best to help out and very much loves her person and Cepheith.

Personality: Thinks he's about the size of a bronze. Can be fairly independent, but is very attached to Narisa. He is protective of her and doesn't like anyone that upsets her. Something he will loudly let you know by squawking indignantly at you or hissing in your face. Most of the time, he reminds Narisa of a feline in the way he likes to be around Hallow and Cepheith in addition to herself. Callix is also pretty intelligent for a flitter and can usually carry out slightly more complex commands then the simple 'go there'. He has respect for Cepheith and doesn't even try to huff or act big and tough to her. Hallow however, the green he also feels a sense of protection for. Other flits though, he's wary of and may appear uninterested in them at first. Dragons, so long as they don't frighten his person, then he has not issues with them. People however, you better have good intentions in mind when being around Narisa!
