This is a list of all the stickies in the guild as of now, and a quick explanation for each one. It's meant to help people who aren't sure where to post their question, make a post, etc.
Please read the post below this one to find out where each sticky is located, because they've been redirected to the different subforums now.

AAbortion/Loss Discussion StickyMeant for people who have had an abortion, who know someone who's had an abortion, who have lost a child, or wish to sympathize with people on any of these subjects. Please read the warning in the first post of the sticky, as I am particularly strict about the discussion stickies, and be sure to follow its rules.

Abortion Information & Resources Sticky (formerly the "Abortion & Post-Abortion Info and Resources Sticky")
[JUST ADDED!]Contains accurate, unbiased information about abortion. Several pamphlets from previous stickies have been copied over, including the one about post-abortion syndrome (PAS). There's a post with some internet resources, including links for women who had an abortion with no regrets.

Abstinence Sticky A sticky with information about abstinence and abstinence methods such as purity rings, vows and pledges. Also has questions to help you decide if abstinence is right for you.
Location: The Sex Subforum.
Abuse StickyA sticky that covers different types of abuse, and gives information on how to spot the signs, and what to do if you're being abused. Includes resources and a place to report abuse if you or someone else you know is being abused.

Additional Mental Illness Information Sticky A sticky with information about depression, psychosis, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), and many pamphlets relating to mental illness and how people can cope and recover.

Alcohol Abuse and Binge-Drinking Information Sticky (replacing the former "Alcohol Abuse Sticky")
A sticky with information about alcohol abuse (what it is, how to get help, etc) and supportive links for people who have a problem with alcohol, or who know someone who does.Also added is information about binge-drinking, and how to help someone you know who may have a problem with binge-drinking.

Alternatives to Sex Sticky [Link goes to the Puberty Subforum one]
A sticky for couples who are looking to be intimate with each other, without having sex or oral sex. Includes suggestions such as backrubs, massages, touching, kissing, dry humping, etc.

All About Pregnancy Tests StickyA sticky with information about pregnancy tests, and a FAQ borrowed from PeeOnAStick.com.

BBaby Name Discussion StickyA sticky for members to discuss their favourite and least favourite baby names, names they've given their kids, names for their future kids, and so on.

Baby Q & A + Info StickyPeople who have questions about babies or child care can ask them here. A guild member runs the sticky, so you can post your questions in the sticky, or PM her a question as long as the guild captain (me) is contacted first. (I don't want her to be swamped with PM's, hence the asking me first) Information about babies and common questions are also posted (how do you change a diaper, how do you warm up a bottle, etc).

Banner StickyThe guild's banner sticky, where you can find all the banners made for the guild. Some are meant for signatures, others are larger. If you'd like to help us out and advertise the guild, this is your place to look.

Being a Teenager Sticky A sticky with excerpts from a teen advice book with answers to questions about home life, friends, dating, kissing, sex, and other issues many teenagers have to deal with.

Books for Teens Sticky While some members might remember my original book sticky, this is a special one for teenagers. Members can contribute their favourite books, and I'll add them to the first post.

Breastfeeding Info Sticky [JUST UPDATED!]A sticky with information for mothers (especially teen moms) about breastfeeding tips and information, advice, and helpful links. Also contains information on what medications to avoid during pregnancy.

Breast Cancer Sticky Information about breast cancer, symptoms, treatment options, and recovery. Also describes how to give yourself a breast exam.

Cancer Loss/Support Sticky A sticky for people to talk and support each other if they've had cancer, if they have it now, or know someone who has/had it.

Common Pregnancy and Contraception Myths StickyMeant to dispell myths associated with how women get pregnant, methods to prevent pregnancy, etc. Feel free to post in the sticky something you might've heard/read somewhere, and I will add it to the list.

Complete Condom Information Sticky [formerly known as The Condom Sticky]
[JUST ADDED!]A sticky with information about what condoms are, how to use both a male and female condom correctly, and information about the different types and brands of condoms available. Also includes information about the cost and accessibility of condoms, and what types of "accessories" can be used with condoms.

DDate Rape Sticky A sticky with information and resources for people wanting to know more/who have experienced date rape or acquaintance rape.

Dating Sticky A sticky for people who ask a lot of questions related to dating, problems with a boyfriend/girlfriend, etc. Included in its topics are: dating ideas; the pro's and con's of internet dating, and other things to be careful of when having an online relationship; additional tidbits about dating; articles about dating; and discussion of age and maturity differences in relationships that have a large age gap.

Fertility and Gynecology StickyCurrently houses an article, and the old "Woman's First Pap Smear and Pelvic Exam" sticky (a sticky with information about a female's first pap smear, pelvic exam, and breast exam. HHaving Sex For the First Time Sticky [Link goes to the Puberty Subforum one]
A sticky with information on what to expect when having sex for the first time. Covers issues such as pain, bleeding, STD's, and knowing your stuff before actually having intercourse with one's partner.

Healthy Eating, Dieting and Exercising Sticky A sticky with information on how to eat healthy, diet safely, and exercising adequately. Full of lots of nutritional information and some good recipies.

Healthy Relationships Sticky A sticky with information on the ingredients of a healthy friendship/relationship. Goes over trust, respect, communication and honesty, and the roles each one plays in a relationship, including sexual ones.

Helpful Links StickyA sticky with information about common fertility and gynecology problems. Kind of under construction, since there isn't much in it right now.

Heterosexuality/LBGT Discussion StickyA sticky for the discussion of homosexuality, heterosexuality, bisexuality, transgendered people,gay marriage, and anything related to those topics. As of 12/29/08, this sticky has been edited and now is a place for people to discuss bisexuality and trans-sexuality, as well as any other types of gender identity and sexual orientation.

How To Deal With an Abusive Partner or Spouse Sticky Information on how to detect if you're in an abusive relationship or not, and how to get out of one if you are in one. Also lists warnings signs to look out for, how to get help, etc.

HPV & Gardasil Sticky Information on HPV and its complications and on Gardasil, a new injection that's aimed at preventing 4 types of HPV that can cause things like cervical cancer and genital warts.

A sticky for parents who have teenagers who are curious about their sexuality, who are sexually active/thinking about becoming sexually active, and so on. People who aren't parents themselves but are still curious about the sticky's contents are welcome to take a look.

Life Experiences StickyMeant for people to tell people their story (if they're pregnant, if they're planning to get pregnant, their sexual history, plans for the future, etc), or a little bit about their general history. No pressure to post if members are not comfortable with it, it's just for people who feel like sharing their story with someone.

Links and Recommended Readings StickyA long list of sites both on and off of Gaia which might be useful. Included are links to several guilds, information threads, and booklists for different topics. If you have a link that you think should be added, post it in the sticky, and it will be added.

MMassive HIV & AIDS Information Sticky [formerly known as The HIV and AIDS Info Sticky]
[JUST ADDED!]A sticky with up-to-date information on HIV & AIDS, including what it is, how it is passed from person-to-person, what the symptoms are, health outcomes and expectations for persons with HIV & AIDS, and so on and so forth.

Master STI Information Sticky [JUST ADDED!]This sticky has tons of information on STIs (sexually transmitted infections). I added all the information from the previous STD stickies, and there's some new stuff in here too, including a downloadable pamphlet on STIs from Health Canada!

Masturbation StickyAn informative sticky with masturbation info for both males and female. Included are different techniques, methods, and reasons for masturbation. If you have any questions relating to masturbation, post them here.

QQueer As Family: Legal Rights and Responsibilities StickyA sticky with Canadian legal information for LGBTQ couples and families. The information from the booklet is from 2002, but there is an update post at the end of the sticky with more recent news and information on the sticky's contents.

RRecall List For Parents Sticky A sticky for parents with recall information on different products for babies and children. Based off of the Gaian Parents Guild's recall list, with newer recalls added that I've found.

Recognizing Heterosexism and Homophobia StickyA sticky with information on what heterosexism and homophobia are, and how to prevent those types of behavior. Also includes a glossary of sexuality terms and definitions.

One of the more important stickies in the guild. Includes information on basic questions asked, female and male anatomy (includes linked pictures), information on the reproductive systems, information on orgasms, etc.

Sex Therapy & Sexual Disorder StickyA sticky with some information on what sex therapy is, and where one can go look to get some if they think they need it.

Sex Toys, Fetishes, Positions and Lapdances StickyA sticky that covers a wide variety of topics. Included are different types of sex toys, different fetishes people can have, some different sex positions people can try, and how to perform a lapdance for your partner.

Smoking Sticky A sticky with information and risks about smoking, and the effects on the human. Pictures are included and linked as a user precaution, but please use discretion in looking at them.

So You're Thinking of Being a Teen Mom? Sticky A sticky meant to inform teens who are thinking of intentionally becoming parents at a young age, and encourage them to wait until they are older and more capable of providing for a baby before they have a baby. Info is backed up with research.

Solutions to Cramps StickyA small sticky with a list of methods provided by guild members on how to reduce cramps and make them less painful.

Still More Mental Health Information Sticky [JUST ADDED!]A sticky with more information and pamphlets about a variety of conditions, ranging from schizophrenia to dealing with the suicide of a friend or loved one. Has more information on depression, anxiety and mood disorders, and a couple posts worth of book and website resources.

UUltimate Birth Control Information Sticky Contains the former stickies for the Evra Patch, Depo Provera, additional birth control information, and the guild's original birth control information sticky. The old versions have been locked and moved to the Archive Subforum. This new one has everything the old birth control sticky had and more, and best of all, it's not in eye-strain-o-vision anymore!
It has information on the Pill, Patch, Depo Provera, NuvaRing, Norplant, IUD, and non-hormonal methods of birth control. There's also information on birth control side effects, and what the effectiveness rating is for some of the more common methods of hormonal birth control.

WWhat Should Your Child Be Doing? Sticky A sticky with a guide for parents with a list of developmental milestones, from 3 months to 5 years. The goal is to detect any potential developmental delays as early as possible.
