Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Lenore and Mephistopheles entered the arena side by side. Mephistopheles gave a small wave before floating down to the sandy field.

Mephistopheles floated up to meet the pidgeot. He bowed graciously once he was at level with the larger bird pokemon. "Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto. I shall be your opponent for the duration of this battle. Good luck."
He floated backwards as he raised his arms, a flurry of snow rushing forward.

Kestrel didn't even hear what Mephisto said, with the raging winter blast in his ears. He flapped his way out of the Blizzard and gave a defiant squawk in retaliation.
"Don't let that discourage you!" Lizzie said. "Faint Attack!"

Mephistopheles was pushed back by the blow, but quickly sent a new barrage of snow at the pidgeot.
------
Lenore looked vacantly at the duskull. Where does he keep the snow?

Kestrel was really sick and tired of the snow but at least it wasn't an electric attack. He flapped the forming frost off of his wings and struck from the shadows again.

Normally Lizzie would be dismayed with the amount of damage Kestrel was taking from all those Blizzards but it looked like the Duskull was in worse condition. "Keep it up!" She said as Kestrel struck again with another Faint Attack.

The Pidgeot suddenly found his wings frosting over and it wouldn't go away no matter how hard he flapped. He very quickly got frozen into a block of ice and crashed onto the beach.
Lizzie groaned as this situation felt all too familiar. All she can do it wait it out now.

Mephistopheles' eye glowed as a torrent of shadows appeared before him, waiting to be unleashed on the opponent. He waited patiently for the pidgeot to emerge.

Kestrel struggled against the ice but to no avail. It still wouldn't budge. He was never very good at being patient, although Lizzie was. Her face was blank as she watched the anti-climatic battle below her.

Lenore yawned slightly to herself. This was pretty boring.
