Roll an Eight: City Streets Field: Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road are sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there. Fake building walls, complete with broken glass windows and grime lining the surface, limit the amount of maneuverable space on land. Trash cans and trash bags decorate the street. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air which, unfortunately, helps spread the horrible stench of the trash. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to POISON type attacks.

Mephistopheles floated down to the streets as Lenore sat down. The duskull surveyed the surroundings for his opponent.

Akakios trotted into the nasty field and looked around. He quickly spotted the opponent and stopped. He looked back at Doyle and sighed. How he hated being with a Rocket grunt. "Hello. I'm Akakios.... um.... do we have to battle?" He asked. It was Doyle's idea to battle so if he didn't battle it wouldn't make his trainer happy. And Akakios was all about making Doyle unhappy.

Akakios could understand that. Truly he could but he felt that hunger was better than to be with a bad guy. "I see but surely we can..." He was then hit with the shadow ball. His legs gave out from the force of the attack but he quickly stood. He would not fight, no way no how! He would instead stand his ground.
Doyle instantly recognizing what Akakios was going to do called out, "Akakaios you better fight! Otherwise you'll be the main guy in our next training session!" Of which was code for that Akakios would be the main guy in their next Rocket mission... or worse used as the beating pokemon in a training exercise the Rockets held every now and then. That motivated Akakios enough to attack. Electricity crackled around the zebra pokemon and then shot out towards the duskull.

Electricity coursed through the duskull's body. "I'm glad to see this will not simply be a one sided confrontation." Tendrils of shadow rose up around the duskull, waving dangerously.

Akakios snorted and shook his head. "I have to fight otherwise...." He trailed off when he noticed that the attack didn't even leave the duskull. He stamped his feet and moved around a bit before figuring that the duskull had done something to either its defense or attack. To counter he sent electricity all around him improving his own defense.

Akakios felt the shadow ball hit and basically wash over his electric coat. His electric defense was gone and once more he sent a charge around him. "Well I prefer not to fight at all."

Akakios shook his head once more feeling the shadow ball cover his electric coat. He shook himself to get rid of the odd feeling and then focused on his target. Electricity crackled around him as he fired another thunderbolt at Mephisto.

The bolt of lightning slipped past he shadows and struck Mephistopheles. At the duskull's behest, a wall of shadow formed between him and the shadowy tendrils writhing before him.

Akakios had expected a return attack and thus had moved from where he stood. He came to a stop when he saw the duskull putting up a wall of shadows. He let out an earsplitting neigh sounding his frustration.

The deafening shriek blew apart the wall of shadows, but Mephistopheles quickly erected another. He stared at the zebstrika through the darkness.
