Rolled a three: Grass field: The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustles the flat grassland arena that has replaced the default stage. Small clouds of harmless pollen fly through the air from the breeze. The land is completely flat, making maneuverability easy to those build to walk on land. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GRASS and BUG type attacks

Kytti slowly walks into the stadium, taking in the view of the room in which her duel is about to begin. This being her first time in the room and her first battle, Kytti takes in the sights and smells. The sweet scent of the grass releases her tension, the floating spores of pollen dancing about makes Kytti seem at home.
"So this what it's like, it's amazing," she thinks to herself.
A smile beams across her face as she reaches down to her belt, unhooks her pokeball and gently presses the release clasp. With a shine of light a pokemon jumps from the ball and lands on the soft grass gracefully, an emerald colored Deerling smells the air delicately, then turns to Kytti and a shimmer glosses over her eyes.
"Willow, this is our first battle, let's do this!" Kytti tells Willow, the Deerling. She softly nuzzles Kytti's arm in response, letting her know she agrees.
Kytti takes her spot at her podium and smiles towards the door, awaiting her opponent.

Lenore and Mephistopheles wandered into the arena, spores clouding their vision. Mephistopheles waved to Lenore, the girl smiling at him. He flew down to the grassy plain below, spotting the deerling who had already arrived. He gave a sweeping bow in greeting.
"Greetings. I am Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto if you so choose. I shall be your opponent this day. Good luck."

Willow eyed the duskull as the attack forms, trying to decide when to move. With the attacking looming, she darts to her left, but gets hit in her flanks by the blast, bowling her over.
"Shake it off, Willow! You got it!" Kytti cries out.
Willow stands up, a slight nod of her head, then looks back to the duskull and bleats. She shuffles her feet, causing more spores to float about, then they launch towards duskull.

The seeds attached themselves to the duskull's cloak, but he paid them little mind. Another pulse of darkness was launched by Mephistopheles at the deerling.

As another blast hits Willow. Shaken by the attack, a slight shimmer glazes over her eyes. She readies herself, opens her mouth as if to make a sound, and waits. Remaining motionless for a few moments, Willow's eye turn purple and with a small cry, a ball of shadow forms in her mouth and launches towards duskull.

Mephistopheles was struck by the shadow ball, sliding back a couple of yards. He quickly fired off another dark pulse.

Up in the trainer box, Lenore looked vacantly at the spores floating around. I wonder if spores taste like marshmallows.

Another blast slams into Willow, her gaze never leaving the duskull. Her eyes growing darker purple as she readies her next attack.
Opening her mouth, she lets loose another ball of shadow, arcing it towards the duskull.

Mephistopheles slid back from the hit once more. He raised his hand, a blade of darkness arcing out with speed, striking the deerling.

Mephistopheles was flung into a wall from the force of the blow. He got up slowly, regarding the deerling with respect. "You fight well, young deerling. I see no reason to continue this battle. Farewell."
Shadows erupted from the duskull, and he floated up to Lenore who waved lazily at the deerling and it's trainer before leaving.

Smiling at Willow, Kytti exclaims, "You did it Willow! Great thinking! I knew you could do it!"
Willow races for Kytti and nuzzles against her arm and stomach, her ears twitching happily. Kytti waves to the leaving duskull and trainer, as they exit the room, heading home for a well deserved rest.
