Hobbies:Singing: Cadence grew up in a family of musicians, with a mother who is the music director at one of the small local churches, and a father who is a professor of music over at DCU. She decided, after years of piano lessons, flute lessons, guitar lessons and dance lessons that singing was going to be what she excelled in, and she adores it. Twice a week she goes to private singing lessons over at DCU and has been since Knightside days, she hopes one day to break into a big new musical on Broadway. That is the dream, but so far she hasn't quite made it there. Yet.
Board Games: When it comes to intimate activates that Cadence enjoys doing, board games are at the very top of her list. Every Tuesday and Thursday she has friends over, or she goes to their house, it all depends on who’s turn it is, and for hours they just play games. All sorts. Her personal favorite is when they play Risk. She likes to think that gaming has given her an edge over other things, and has really helped her to think strategically, but mostly she’s just having fun, and honestly, that’s what gaming is for.
Acting: After being taken to the theater on her eighth birthday to see a live production of Annie, Cadence has been enamored with the idea of acting on stage. Or in movies or Television, but when it comes down to it, Stage acting is the absolute best. She tries out for any and all plays that she has the ability to, and with her singing ability, she always hopes to land the lead role in musicals. She’s only managed the lead twice so far, but both times were utterly spectacular, and she hopes that one day she lands a lead in the BIG LEAGUES…but first she has to finish up her schooling in the city, after that, her parents have promised to help her when she moves to somewhere with a more bustling theater district.
Virtues: Carefree: Cadence doesn’t like to let things weigh her down. She has mastered the art of letting things just roll off her back and move past them. It’s so much easier and healthier to go through life with a smile on your face rather than letting all of the world’s problems build up and smother you. The only thing you can control is yourself, so why would you let yourself worry about everything else? Personally, she thinks this is the best and only way to live a happy life in the world right now.
Honest: Cadence doesn’t like liars…and she doesn’t like to lie. When she was younger she told a lie to one of her best friends, and that utterly destroyed their friendship, and after that happened, Cadence vowed never to let something like that come to be again, and has strived not to tell any more lies ever. She’s pretty horrible at keeping secrets too due to this, but she figures that even if you think that a lie is in someone’s best interests…it really isn’t. It’ll only end up hurting them ten times worse down the line.
Loyal:Cadence has her very own honor code, and what she thinks is her best trait is the way she will stand by those who she considers her friends no matter what. Nothing can shake her loyalty when it comes to those that she cares about. She will have your back no matter the situation and no matter what others are saying about you, you are her friend and she will always be on your side.
Flaws:Naive:With her honor code, one thing that Cadence fails to realize is that not everyone thinks the same as she does. Not everyone tells the truth all of the time, not everyone has the unshakable loyalty that she tries to always have…but somehow Cadence was given a pair of rose tinted glasses and sees the good in everyone, even if they are the utter scum of the earth. It’s not a very healthy way to be, but she has no idea that she even has an issue.
Foolhardy:Sometimes thinking things through can be an issue for Cadence. She prefers action to planning, and will rush into situations without knowing the full details, or without pausing to figure out if it’s safe to do the thing. The worst times for Cadence to blunder into a situation is when she thinks someone she cares about is in trouble. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the middle of a hurricane at midnight, if someone says they need her now, she’ll go, headless of any sort of danger that might be out there.
Clingy:Cadence doesn’t like to be alone. She has her game nights twice a week, but often that’s not enough for her. She likes to keep her friends close, sometimes
too close. She will call you whenever she feels lonely, or just drop by your house and decide to spend the night regardless of what your plans were. She doesn’t cope well when friends get significant others, and finds herself growing very jealous, trying to get as much—or more attention from the friend than she did before they got into a relationship.
