While it was very much Dagon's preference to investigate Chaos auras first, to stop whatever nefarious bullshit the Negaverse got itself up to, she was not totally unaware that it would be beneficial to her to make more allies. She had Viatrix, and Viatrix's family, but there were certainly plenty of others out there that she might do well to make a connection with.
It wasn't her job, certainly. But it was something she could do.
So she followed the fuzzy feeling of another Order aura, until she spotted a lavender-haired girl in pink and purple, and she strode over, tilting her head to the side. Not a familiar face, per se.
But that was alright. Not everyone would be.

Tristan felt the aura coming closer and stayed where she was, rocking back on her heels as she waited, though when she saw the owner of the aura come into view, she felt her jaw job in the most undignified way. “...What the hell!” She stared openly at the senshi and got her words all tumbled. “You’re bluetiful! I mean, You’re blue! Why are you blue? I know it’s cold out but…”
She moved closer, obvious concern on her face and fluttered her hands, wishing she had something to throw around the woman’s shoulders. If she was freezing to death, that would explain it, but…
“What’s wrong with your ears?” Her hands came up and she touched the fin like structure, awed and a little repulsed but…extremely curious. “What are you?”
Manners didn’t matter clearly, not when the person was blue.

Dagon blinked. Ah, well. She supposed everything Viatrix told her suggested that most humans were unaware of aliens, but this level of enthusiasm was....fascinating. It was the first time she'd really been approached by someone on her own side who wasn't otherwise aware of her, she supposed.
"Uh," she said, elegantly, and she blinked, and then frowned, gently batting the hand away from her fin. "Please do not touch me," she said, looking firmly displeased. "I am blue, and I have fins, and webbing," she held up her hand, wiggling her fingers to show off the in-between, "because I am not human. I am Sailor Dagon, last of the Dagonite people. Who are you?"

“Webbing!” Her eyes widened and it took all of Tristan’s willpower not to grab the hand and examine that too. “That’s crazy! Dragonite like the pokemon?” Since clearly she had just mispronounced the word, obviously. “I’m Sailor Tristan, Senshi of Trust, at your service. When did you get here? How did you get here? This is so wild! What are you the senshi of? Is it water? Are you the senshi of water? Or…or ships! Harbors?”
She winced and made a face, drawing a step away. “I…talk quite a lot when I get excited, forgive me, but…this is the first time I’ve ever met someone like you and…that’s pretty awesome.”
Tristan tugged down her own fuku just a bit, and wished, not for the first time that the skirt wasn’t so short. “Tell me about yourself? I swear I can be quiet for more than ten seconds.”

Dagon took a deep breath. There was no need to get angry, or frustrated. This girl was just enthusiastic--eager, bright, like a child, almost. And so there was no reason for Dagon to treat her as anything but that.
However many years she had by human reckoning, she was likely as a child to Dagon, anyway.
"A pleasure, Sailor Tristan. I don't know what a....pokemon....is," she said, "but if it is also called Dagonite," she emphasized the correct pronunciation, "it is merely a coincidence. I am the Senshi of Dread, although my world is primarily composed of island archipelagos, and we have long been deeply connected to the sea--thus, my appearance."
That, and there were things in the depths that ought to be feared.
"I have come to Earth," she said, and she paused, for a moment, to consider if she ought to offload this onto a stranger, but she had done so several times so far and been lucky... "Because my world is dying. Nearly dead, truth be told. But yours is alive, and thriving, except for the little..." she wrinkled her nose, like she was speaking of something deeply unpleasant, "Chaos problem. Ugh. Disgusting parasites, all of them."

“Dagonite, Dragonite, same thing just missing an r. If you’re going to be on Earth for a while, you should check out Pokemon, it’s worth your time, and the games are really fun.” SHe nodded at the explanation of her appearance and her homeworld and…the fact she was the senshi of dread which was…actually pretty cool, though the fact that her world was dying or dead…was depressing.
The slight to chaos though, that was what made Tristan tense up, bristling like a cat who had an unfriendly pair of hands nearby. “Excuse me but, my girlfriend is of the chaos faction, and I’ll be joining her soon enough. They’re not all parasites, thank you very much. There’s nothing wrong with most of them, at least I don’t think so.”
And clearly, since she was from Earth, she knew more than this Dagon could.

The shift in Dagon's manner was immediate. Her back tensed, her eyes narrowed, and she regarded the Senshi with utter contempt.
"You intend to join them? Your girlfriend is--" She hissed. "You are an idiot. Chaos is a world-eater, a force of destruction--it is what is killing my world, choking the last remaining bits of life out from it. And you would sell yourself to it?"
Vile. Horrifying. Infuriating.
"If you intend to join the enemy, then you are my enemy." No quarter, no hesitation. Nothing but a thousand years of burning, boiling hatred. "Dreadul Aspect," Dagon snarled, calling her magic to hand. Fog billowed like smoke around her, and she strode forward, hoping to inflict as much fear as possible.Quote: Dagon touches her fist to her chest, and a strange fog begins to swirl around her. Enemies within ten feet of Dagon will see her as something monstrous and dreadful, and experience a sense of oncoming doom in her presence. These effects last for 30 seconds, and Dagon can use this spell three times per battle.

Tristan took a step back, concerned and confused by the sudden hostility. “Wow, you don’t know her at all, how dare you just make a blanket statement like–
As the fog closed in, the senshi seemed to grow larger, many heads coming from slithering, waving necks, revolting boils covering the slimy surface of the skin.
She trembled slightly and shook her head. “Isn’t this a bit much? Have you even taken a moment to speak to those here who…”
Oh dear god, she was going to die here. She was going to die by this insane, horrifying monster hand and…”Trust me!”
Her own magic flew towards the creature.
“They aren’t as bad as you think they are! They’re kind, they don’t intend any harm!”Noir Songbird Trust Me: Tristan holds a hand to her heart, and then extends it out to an opponent. For twenty seconds the opponent will be compelled to trust whatever Sailor Tristan says, with the exception of her saying something that would involve death or side swapping or identity revealing. The opponent must be within a five foot range of Tristan. This attack can be used twice per battle, but they must be different opponents.

"Speak to them?" Dagon hissed. The very prospect was almost comedic. "Speak to people no different from those who slaughtered my wife, our daughter? I will not have words with Chaos-corrupted scum!"
She moved to swing her fist, but Tristan's magic hit her first, and she stumbled, blinking, shocked. Around her, the fog began to fade, much earlier than she normally expected--yet another of the strange fluctuations of her magic--and Tristan's words....
They were so sincere.
What if...what if she was wrong? What if she had missed her guess, and the Chaos here was different? What if there were no monsters, only deluded fools who had been drawn in.
"I....I don't understand," she said, and there was a shakiness to her tone. She had been so sure--but--

When the fog and the creature vanished, Tristan was able to get a full breath of air in, though her heart was still pounding wildly. She hesitated, watching the strange fishy senshi and then crossed the distance between them, taking Dagon’s webbed hand in her own and squeezing it lightly. “I’m sorry for the loss of your wife and your daughter, that’s horrible…but…blind hate won’t get them back.”
She knew her magic wasn’t going to last much longer, and she dared to press a small kiss to the senshi’s cheek. “I don’t want to be your enemy. Even when I go to chaos. How bad can it be if you go for love, after all? They still love, you know. They still feel pain, and fear. But they still love. Take some time and talk to one, and you’ll see!”

Dagon's entire body was trembling. She couldn't make sense of her thoughts--of the inherent contradiction of what she had known to be true for a thousand years and what the Senshi in front of her, who undoubtedly had more experience with Earth, was telling her. A Senshi whose words she wanted to...trust...
(Some part of her wondered if this was magic. It didn't matter. Tristan's sincerity was so real, so obvious.)
"You cannot understand," Dagon said, and she didn't notice that she had begun to cry--only that her vision had blurred, and she blinked it away, but it quickly blurred again. "What Chaos is, what it does--however 'good' you believe the people to be....Chaos is poison, and you should not drink of it. Not even for love."

“She saved me. Back before I was a senshi. For years she’s been my idol. My hero. I…haven’t been the best of senshi, I’ll admit. I’ve been lazy and only recently have I started actually going and doing my job…but she’s with chaos now, and I can’t leave her alone there. I can’t let her be lonely and afraid, and I truly love her. She’s…”
Tristan shrugged, reaching to wipe at the tears which gathered in Dagon’s eyes. “I feel that she’s my other half. Like I’m meant to be with her. There’s no other reason that I would have remembered her for so long. Dreamed about her for as often as I have…and I can’t let her be alone. If she won’t come to me, I’ll go to her, willingly and I’ll love her no matter what. No matter what happens, we’ll be together.”
It sounded like a vow, and Tristan knew she would and could stay behind it.

Dagon's heart broke. The way Tristan spoke of the girl she loved reminded her of how Dagon might have spoken of Kalari, once. Of an adoration that could transcend lifetimes, of a draw that meant that two souls simply fit together.
"She may indeed be," Dagon said, and her voice was soft, and much gentler than it might have been otherwise. Tristan's ambition was still foolish--she could not countenance the idea of giving yourself over to Chaos, even for someone so important. "There are....loves that transcend lifetimes, meetings of souls that happen over and over again in the cycle of reincarnation. And if she is yours...you should strive to save her. Not to let her give herself to the darkness, and lose yourself as well."
She reached up. Gently squeezed Tristan's hand.
"If you go....go with caution. Do not forget that Chaos will do everything it can to eat away at you. At everything that is good, and noble, and bright. And try....first and foremost, please, try to bring her back to the light."

Tristan nodded and squeezed the hand back. “I will. I’ll try my best. I just want her to be safe, safe and happy. And you, I hope you find love again. You deserve every happiness too, Dagon. I’ll be rooting for you, and I do hope that we meet again!”
She meant it too, sure the senshi had turned absolutely feral. But…it seemed like they could be friends now. And that was nice. Tristan did love having friends. But…she really hoped that Dagon would find her own happiness.
Gently, she pulled her hand away and kissed the senshi’s cheek again in farewell. “See you around, and please stay safe!”
If she picked a fight with the wrong person…she might not actually live long enough to find that love and happiness. And god, that would suck.

Dagon closed her eyes. The second kiss to her cheek would find it salty with tears, and as Tristan pulled away, she let go.
She wasn't sure what to do, or what to say.
"You as well," she said, softly, and she let Tristan go.
She was left with much to think about.
