Luck was something to be wondered at, and Tristan thought she had quite a bit of it.
Sure, she hadn’t yet found Mizuki, but she was dating the most beautiful woman in the world, and was getting better with her magic, and was simply…happy...but luck was bound to run out at some point, and when her eyes landed on the frighteningly tall member of the Negaverse, she figured that it had either run out…or had turned extremely good.
…She was hot.
“Um! Well, hey there! Nice night, isn’t it? You’re very tall…” Tristan gave a nervous chuckle, and her own five foot four inch frame felt…very pathetic.
“I love your hair!”
Maybe if she threw out an onslaught of compliments…the beautiful giantess wouldn’t try to crush her…
…well. Then again…

Being powered up felt natural. As Ei, Akaganeite often felt confused, and unsure, and lost--and those weren't feelings she enjoyed. Ei had no memory, just instincts, and not knowing how or why she knew certain things had her uncomfortably on edge.
Not that she had more memory as Akaganeite, but there was a lot less uncomfortable muscle memory.
But here she was, making an effort to do her duty as a Lieutenant of the Negaverse, and she was running into other people on the opposite side. This...would be the interesting part.
She regarded the Senshi with interest, tilting her head to the side.
"It is quite a nice night," she said, almost idly. "What's a sweet thing like you doing out all alone?"

“Searching for a friend!” Tristan grinned. “What about you? What are you doing out all alone?”
It was…a silly question but. The attempt at flirting flowed out as easy as breathing, and she stared up at the lieutenant with obvious awe on her face.
“I’m Sailor Tristan, Senshi of Trust. If you’re alone, do you want to hang out and be alone together?” If the answer was yes, that would be fantastic, and if the answer was no..well. She would see that it was fantastic anyway. Perhaps it would be a good time to try and use her magic on the goddess to…
To what? Trick her? Change her mind and make her seem like a friend?
It could work, maybe. It would be worth a try.

"Learning the ropes," Akaganeite said, idly. Certianly, she could have gone out with someone else, but she would have to operate independently as an agent, and so she could not rely on having backup at all times.
The offer was regarded with thought. At orientation, they had suggested the White Moon would try to seduce--to lure away--but Akaganeite did not think she was particularly interested in being seduced, at the moment. And perhaps this would be an opportunity to gather information.
"Lieutenant Akaganeite," she gave a polite brief bow, and while she didn't smile, she was certainly less aggressive-looking. "I suppose there's no harm in patrolling together for a time." She could ask some questions, at the very least. "You seem quite friendly. I was under the impression this was a war--are we not enemies?"

Tristan shook her head. “No! At least I don’t think so. Besides, when I find my friend I’ll be joining you all anyway. I just want to make sure she’s all right before I go and change my life around. Her name is Mizuki, and she’s got purple hair like I do, but she’s much more timid and I just…I’m worried about her. She doesn’t seem like she’s got much of a backbone and if she’s gotten into trouble, I’m afraid she wouldn’t be able to protect herself so.”
Shrugging Tristan sighed. “Gotta find her and make sure she’s all right, then my girlfriend will whisk me off into the sunset and we’ll live happily ever after. What’s your story, Akaganeite? Are you happy with the Negaverse?”
It was a question she had taken to asking all of the members that she met, so far it had mainly been yes but. You never could tell.

What an interesting person. Akaganeite listened to her story, and did not interrupt, and filed away what she had heard for later. Good that she didn't consider KAga an enemy; that would only make this much more complicated, and it also meant that there was good reason fort hem to be discussing.
The question made her pause, and think. It was an honest one, and deserved an honest answer.
"I think I am," she said. "I did not join by choice--I was corrupted in the great battle on the hill--and I do not remember anything from before that. But I am content enough, and I've found that I enjoy the structure and support the Negaverse provides." She tilted her head tot he side. "Your friend...she sounds as if she could be in quite a lot of danger. You're right to ensure she's okay, before you make your decision."
To take this on for someone you loved....Tristan's feelings for her girlfriend must be quite strong, but it was cute, certainly.

“I’m very glad that you’re doing okay! I think that was how my Gwen came over too.” Tristan grew thoughtful and shuddered. “...Part of me wishes it could have been that easy for me, but then again, I wouldn’t have met up with her again if that had happened so, everything happens like it’s supposed to. I’m glad that you agree with me about Mizuki, I know it’s silly, but I feel responsible for her.”
Tristan kicked her foot slightly, humming. “It’s always best to make big life decisions with no regrets anyway, don’t you think? And walking into it with full knowledge of what I’m doing and the fact that I want to do it…”
She fell silent and shrugged. “I will admit! You mention the support and structure, I’ve been such a lazy senshi…I hope I don’t get into too much trouble for that.”

Akaganeite nodded. "I cannot say if I would have chosen this for myself, and I'm....not entirely happy that the choice was taken from me, but I am here now. And it is what it must be."
Better not to let herself wallow in what she might have lost. That person was gone, and not coming back.
"Better that you go into it with your eyes open, and prepared, and that you plan to ensure things are alright for your friend as well." But Tristan's description of her laziness made Kaga frown, slightly.
"I don't think that will fly, in the Negaverse--there are expectations. Quotas, of energy, because we need it to survive. It is what powers us, and ensures we can continue to fight to protect the Earth." And if she had little experience...she could all too easily wander into a bad situation. The thought made something twist up in Kaga's chest.
"Why don't you show me what you can do, in a fight?" She said. "I would feel better, knowing that you are out on your own, even serving the Negaverse, if I had seen your magic."

“You’re doing wonderful though, I bet. And looking very hot, might I add.” Tristan gave a grin and shrugged. “I’m getting better at going patrolling. I’m sure when I have a goal to meet I’ll be fine. I’m great with meeting goals, but when I’m left to my own devices…”
Her eyes sparkled with the chance to use her magic, so she did. “Trust me!”
It was fun that she could just work it in. Subtle. Perhaps it wasn’t something useless if she could harness it without someone knowing.
“I’m going to be an asset for the Negaverse. I’ll be promoted quickly, and one day you’ll realize how amazing I am~”

Akaganeite flashed Tristan a brief grin. "I do look good, don't I," she acknowledged.
She waited--but even prepared for magic, even hearing the words "Trust me!" and being able to take a guess, quickly, what would happen, she wasn't prepared for how firmly she believed every single word Tristan was saying.
It was just...obvious. The girl's enthusiasm and eagerness fort he Negaverse would carry her far, and so would the support of those around her. Akaganeite believed that firmly.
"I think....that is very likely to be true," she said, and it wasn't all the magic--she did believe that Tristan had what it took to succeed.

Tristan grinned, nodding. “Good. Because it is the truth. I’m going to be the greatest senshi that you’ve ever seen.” Falling quiet until the magic had faded she laughed. “So, that’s my magic. People trust what I say, but I did actually mean that. But…I hope that you and I can be friends and go patrolling together sometimes. You’re free to look me up, whenever. I’m not sure when I’ll come over, but if you talk to Guinevere, she’ll let you know when it happens!”
Making connections before she even got corrupted…it felt nice. They would get to…do whatever. Always.
She hoped that Gwen would be as happy as she was.
“I’m going to head home now, if that’s okay? It was so nice to meet you!”

When the magic faded, Kaga blinked, and took a moment to evaluate the moments before. Then, a slow smile spread across her face.
"That....is very devious magic, Sailor Tristan. I think it will be of great use to the Negaverse indeed." She would have to leave a report in the database, to make sure others were aware of this potential recruit.
Well, future recruit, seemed more accurate.
"I hope we meet each other again," Kaga said, and she gave a brief, light bow. "As allies in truth, next time."
She turned to leave, and felt glad--it was good to know that not every recruitment was as messy as hers had been. It gave her faith, indeed, about going forward.
