Hobbies: Photography - One of Leander's prized possessions is his camera; he has a photography business that does moderately well based on local advertising and online websites. It is a creative outlet; he likes to challenge himself to get the best shot. His favorite photographs are ones that are hard won, however he will settle for landscapes and portraits. He likes the idea of preserving a moment in time and reminding of good memories.
Private Investigator - Arguably also a source of income, Leander has the ability to snoop effectively. He enjoys solving mysteries (and getting paid to do it) ; while it is an intrusive hobby, he doesn't really hold any reservations about it. He pursued journalism in high school and finds this a more lucrative way of utilizing those skills. He isn't sure this will be his career permanently, but he likes the freedom of being able to make his own schedule. Most of his investigations are driven by his own desire for information, but he will not turn down a paycheck.
Conspiracy Theories - While Leander does not hold much stock in conspiracy theories, he finds them an enjoyable and creative pasttime. He likes to see where the imagination stretches and to see the amount of effort gone into stringing together a theory. He is not an avid conspiracy theorist
himself, but he likes to keep up with the ongoing conspiracies. Currently, his favorite conspiracy theories are focused around the terrorists and gang wars in Destiny City and his is involved in several websites dedicated to debunking and investigating them.
Virtues: Resourceful -- When met with a problem, Leander tends to be able to overcome it. He is generally innovative and can look at situations from multiple perspectives. He has the resources to overcome most situations and is creative enough to come up with new ideas if one fails. He is generally self-sufficient and doesn't like to ask for help.
Brave -- There is little in the world that frightens Leander and he isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes is right. He has a strong sense of justice and will confront things that challenge this. He is unafraid to stand by his convictions and has faith in himself. He is bold and generally without shame and will not hesitate to do what he feels is right.
Ambitious -- Leander knows when a good opportunity has presented itself--and goes out of his way to make sure he gets his foot in the door. He wants to be the best that he can be and strives to make connections and prove himself. While he has a calculated plan for success, he is also an opportunist.
Resilient -- Leander has a thick skin and doesn't let things break him down; he uses each obstacle as a platform to improve and drives himself to be better. He can recover from otherwise unfortunate circumstances quickly. Rather than let himself be hurt or wallow in disappointment, he collects himself and tries to turn each situation into something that can be twisted into his favor.
Flaws: Cynical -- Leander does not generally have a lot of faith in people or their motivations he expects that regardless of loyalties, people will act in the way that best serves them. He doubts that most people are able to act out of true altruism. He is generally jaded towards people and expects them to disappoint him. Though he wants to be proven wrong, he constantly puts himself in positions to see the worst of people, only furthering his general distaste for them.
Abrasive -- Leander has a habit of reporting things in a straightforward, blunt manner. He doesn't generally make an attempt to soften blows or choose his words carefully. He winds up coming across as brash or insensitive.
Secretive -- Guarded and already untrusting of people, Leander goes out of his way to keep his own secrets. He spends a lot of time trying to expose the secrets of others so he is particularly careful with keeping his own hidden. He can get defensive when people attempt to pry too much, and he can come across as sketchy or aloof in his efforts to keep his private life hidden.
Envious -- Leander is begrudging of others' success; he sets himself to very high standards and has a hard time being happy for someone else if he feels like he isn't succeeding in some way. He winds up being jealous of others, especially if he feels he deserves opportunities more than them. He tends to be begrudging and can sometimes become antagonistic.
