Civilian Description ✸
Eyes -- pale yellow-green eyes that are big and wide! She is usually fairly expressive.
Hair -- Ny has a lot of hair. It is icy pale and styled in a long, thick flyaway mane, reminiscent of her typical hair unbound while not in uniform. It pools on the floor even while she is standing at full height.
Face -- She has a sort of teenage softness, with a small nose, dainty eyebrows, and round little lips.
Skin Tone -- sun-tanned, so a sort of warm bronzed look
Body Type -- Ny is quite tall at 6’8”, with a toned and lithe sort of musculature. She likes to work out, but is not quite body-builder levels of built.
Clothes -- Ny likes a combination of loose, airy garments and form fitting clothes. Her staples are baggy crop tops (she likes them long-sleeved and hooded!) and tight leggings. The look and pattern of them don’t matter too much. She just wants to be comfy and functional!

Hair -- DARK TEAL hair that is long enough to pool around her feet. It is usually kept completely bound in wrap, besides where it frames her face, and a small tuft at the end, giving it a “lion’s tail”-like appearance.

Weapon ✸
Cadet Weapon -- blaster that can fire every ten seconds and causes a tingling and numbing sensation for 5 seconds upon contact
Corporal Weapon -- blaster that can fire every ten seconds and causes a tingling and numbing sensation in a one foot radius for 10 seconds upon contact
Commander Weapon -- a powerful blaster that can fire a ball of concentrated energy every ten seconds; this ball will explode on impact and create a tingling or numbing sensation in a six foot radius that lasts for ten seconds. The explosion does not cause actual damage but the electric field can cause dizziness and feel like static is in the air for anyone within the radius. If it hits a target directly they will feel the full brunt of the initial blast but it will taper quickly in power; if the environment is hit, the blast retains full strength and affects all those that pass through the radius.

Mixed Martial Arts -- Ny has always been drawn to physical combat. It was impressed on her at an early age that she is at her best when she is silent, so she often finds it difficult to join in on her more scholarly companions’ discussions. The debate, idea-sharing, and back-and-forth of being in a research team is not her ideal situation, and she is uncomfortable with being looked to to offer solutions or solve theoretical problems. Her talents have always been more physical in nature. She loves working out and learning new means to strengthen her body. This is her primary form of expression, so while she of course acknowledges the importance of it for her physical well-being, it is also an emotional and social outlet for her.
Assisstant -- Ny is happy to be a follower. She doesn’t really enjoy a lot of attention, and prefers to just be support for the people she loves. As such, she spends a lot of time just assisting her friends’ endeavors. In particular, she is practically glued to Fysarius’ side, following him wherever he goes, carrying any tools he might need, labeling his finds, trying to be organized while he is not, and just generally looking out for him in his single-mindedness. He is one of her very top priorities, and she clings to him with an insistence probably deemed unhealthy in her society.
Cartography -- Joining the Vanguard was one of the happiest moments in Ny’s life. She was so ecstatic and felt so privileged to have the opportunity to actually leave Velencya. It was one of the first interests she remembers ever having, and Ny thought it might be useful to learn to map those strange, new places… Not a lot of that to be done on Velencya, but she has found a renewed vigor for her old hobbies now that she’s on Earth. It seems like basic mapmaking is still not an especially useful skill in such a populated city, but one day, she still desperately hopes to see someplace where it could be useful. Where she could draw up a map that actually would help guide someone who’d never seen a place she’d been.
Virtues ✸
Serious -- Ny is usually thoughtful and committed to any given task at hand. She is not prone to overly emotional displays, especially in the presence of strangers (though she can be conspicuously forceful in wrangling her comrades into doing their tasks). She is focused, driven, committed, but is also earnest and soft toward those she trusts. Doesn’t like to dawdle and is not easily-distracted. She can be hard to have fun with if she’s not convinced of the point of certain activities.
Quiet -- For most of her adolescent life and onward, Ny has been selectively mute. This typically impedes the development of new relationships, and some people can find her difficult to work with, but she is good at listening when others speak, and has an exceptional memory for information conveyed to her. She’s not an attention seeker, is observant, and seems to have a heightened sense of empathy, so she can be very supportive and patient. She tends to offer emotional support through physical rather than verbal means (smiling, hand-holding, hugging), and is happy to do so. Though usually nonspeaking, she is far from shy.
Trusting -- Starts all relationships by giving someone the benefit of the doubt! She is sure that most people intend to be friendly and well-meaning, and it is only very rarely that a stranger will actually mean to be malicious toward her or her friends in any way. The different cultures can be a little shocking, and that is probably why some things seem rude to her or why she seems strange to others. But Ny is ultimately optimistic, and doesn’t want to let wariness or inappropriate judging get in the way of social progress.
Flaws ✸
Harsh -- Because she is mostly nonspeaking, Ny conveys a lot with just expressions and body language, and in order for people to have the most genuine interpretation of what she’s giving them, it tends to be overly whatever the mood is. When she is happy and excited, she beams and claps and can pull people around with her. When she is angry or offended, she will snarl, shove, make rude gestures and generally seem very unapproachable or unwilling to compromise. She tends to act abruptly, so there’s often little time for people to dissuade her moods or change her mind before she does something about it.
Critical -- Ny is not entirely comfortable with herself, if her unwillingness to speak is not evidence enough. She has a history of being judged somewhat harshly, and it has become a habit to do the same for herself. She works hard in everything she works at. She knows not to expect perfection; it is unattainable, but she has to at least meet certain expectations, and it is very devastating to her when she falls short. Similarly, she expects a lot of her comrades and can be a little pushy with them to also meet her expectations.
Aggressive -- Ny will turn on people who betray her trust with a no-second-chances kind of mentality. It is a given that she is not going to pretend or offer courtesy pleasantries to people who don’t deserve them. It’s a waste of time and effort. She will rise to fight anyone who “deserves” it, and… sometimes people who don’t. A frustrated Ny doesn’t pull her punches, even on her allies, and she is bull-headed enough to not accept when she is in the wrong. She’s not one to put herself forward often, so when she does, she really sticks to it with an adamance that can get aggressive.
