At first, there was the sensation of floating. It was like drifting in a warm, lazy river. It was a gentle embrace of energy, carrying them away from trouble. The unstable, erratic energy from the field had faded, replaced only with this familiar embrace. The purple light that enveloped all of them faded slowly, and when they blinked away the last of it, they could see that they were safe. The room had a latent magic; it did not heal, but it seemed to function as something of a stasis. Pain diminished, and injuries would not worsen, but it seems like it is only a temporary magic. The group arrived scattered throughout the Throne Room in the Castle of the Dark Kingdom. Metallia’s embrace wrapped around all agents of the Negaverse--warm, proud. She wasn’t visible, but she was there, in that room with them. Lyndin, injured as he was, stood in one of the back corners. His expression was strained but otherwise unreadable. Tremors coursed through his body and anyone close to him could easily see that he was probably only standing from willpower alone. He was surrounded by the Cadets that chose to follow him: Naeria, Andreiya, Fangnyl, Aliez, Fae-Fae, Itztenoch, Eso, Nessaela, Silvera, Yddagen, Lysvi, Cypher, Vyn, Fysarius, Ny, Daesva, and Caelyna. A faint glow still covered the cadets--and, the crystals that covered their fallen comrades. They were no longer easy to see through; they had clouded over, as if out of respect for the fallen. Or, maybe, to shield the cadets from the horrors that had befallen them. Lyndin was between the Cadets and the rest of the Negaverse, as if he were ready to protect them if he needed to. The Chaotic energy of the Negaverse might have felt dizzying, ordinarily, but with the extra protection they were spared from it. For now. At the front of the room, Laurelite stood before her throne. She was standing up straight, fingers gently laced around her scythe. She smiled, and it reached her eyes. She surveyed the room fondly, eyes crossing over each and every agent. Behind her, Lepidolite looked delighted and refreshed. Hessonite grinned like she couldn’t contain her energy. Axinite stared blankly at an empty space across the room. “My Agents,” Laurelite said sweetly, and there was an undeniable love in her voice as she looked over all of them. She saw the damage they’d taken. She saw the new recruits. She saw their success and their failure. She saw them. “I am so proud of you.” Most of them. There were a few she let her gaze linger on, and any Negaverse agent who defied Orders or actively sabotaged the mission would feel an uncomfortable, Chaotic sensation prickling along their skin. Their skin felt tight, and too hot. Unseen eyes were boring into them. Laurelite knew of their defiance. Metallia knew. But, all the same, there were those that had gone above and beyond to see them succeed. “I won’t hold you long here. I want medical attention for everyone that needs it. Resources will be made available for everyone. We’ll have a lot to go over in the upcoming days but we’ll have information uploaded to the Tablets soon. If you need to leave, you may go now.” Her magic could sustain those who were hurting; it could ease their suffering, it could prevent them from getting worse. It wasn’t an unlimited source of energy, but she had a little extra to spare. Her eyes fell to Lyndin, and in her sugar sweet voice she said, “I’m only sorry everything didn’t go according to plan. You were so close, weren’t you?” Lyndin didn’t answer, but he looked at her with a steely, unreadable expression. If Laurelite took offense, it didn’t show. “That starseed was your goal, you said you can't go home without it. And with all the damage you and those generators took, do you have the resources to travel?” She sounded like she cared, but there was an undertone that still sounded satisfied. When Lyndin didn’t answer, she continued, “Not every plan succeeds at first. Be assured, we won’t abandon you. I’m sure we can come to some sort of arrangement. We’ll look after you for as long as you’re here. I’m sure we’ll find some way for you to help us as well.” She looked to the Negaverse, and there was something in her eyes that said to trust her. Only, she didn’t have to ask. “I’m sure you have questions. I have answers. Now, or in the future.” Youma, intelligent enough to identify those who needed immediate medical attention had already come into the room to help assist the agents. Patiently, Laurelite waited; she gave them a moment to adjust. She gave them time to ask questions. She gave them time to settle, to relax, to come down from the adrenaline of the battle. Laurelite did not mind if they broke into groups, if they moved around, if they left--to treat injuries or for any other reason. This might as well have been a celebration and they’d earned the privilege to do as they pleased. Besides, she had more to share, and something to give them for their service. Quote: All Chaos characters and Velencians who chose Lyndin have arrived at the Throne Room in the Dark Kingdom! You must have participated in the previous ORP at some point to be involved in this roleplay. Negaverse players are free to interact with the environment or Chaos NPCs; Lyndin may be available for interaction but his priority is to the Vanguard; Vanguardian Cadets can interact with Lyndin or nearby Negaverse agents if they choose. Though it has not ICly been stated, hostility is not welcome and Laurelite will be very disappointed if she needs to intervene to break something up. If your Chaos character attacked a Generator at any point in time while not under the effects of magic, or otherwise severely disobeyed orders, please PM The Space Cauldron so we can begin working out appropriate IC repercussions! While you do not have to RP these repercussions out, ICly they must occur, even if handwaved. All Cadet players must post at least once in this thread; they must write 500 words to be eligible for reward for their participation in the meta. This ORP will have new mule posts within 24 hours of the last mule post, however these posts may come more frequently to accommodate player interaction. There are no penalties if you play a Chaos Character and do not post in this; you can assume any knowledge provided. All Chaos characters would have been summoned to the Throne Room and protected from the explosion during last ORP. Characters that were unconscious will be exhausted but will find themselves restored enough to move around and ask questions; pain will be dulled and injuries seem to have been put in a temporary stasis. They will not get worse while they are here, but they will not heal. Those in vital need of medical assistance can be carried out by youma for treatment, or the energy in the room can stabilize them for a while longer. Please quote The Space Cauldron if you are interacting with the environment or an NPC! This ORP will conclude one week from now, at some point in time after 4PM EST Sunday the 7th. This is the final Negaverse ORP for the meta but will open the doors for another Vanguardian roleplay within the next few days to give them time to speak outside of the Negaverse. When the Order and Chaos ORPs conclude, there will be major shop releases brought into play. After these ORPs, there will be a DMC ORP; the DMC ORP does not affect the meta plot and will take place on the evening of November 1st, in Mirrorspace at the same time the battle ORP did for everyone else.

Corrupt Senshi Actaea of the Harvest/Seble GrangerActaea felt like she was floating and then she was gone from the battlefield and appeared in the dark kingdom. She was no longer a normal sneshi she had become a corrupt senshi her outfit turned black. She still had her orange coloring on her outfit, so she looked like a Halloween witch. She groaned as she woke up and looked around confused, she didn't remember any of her senshi memories. She remembered her family but she felt like she couldn't return to them, there was a fear deep in her heart that told her that would be a mistake. She felt lost and confused as she listened to Laurelite talk. She certainly felt like she had been beaten, she couldn't remember how any of it had happened. (Open for interaction)

Cadet Aliez The strange aura around them seemed to be enough to pull Aliez from unconsciousness. He could feel arms around him, and when he was finally able to open his tired, sad eyes, he was surprised to see Fangnyl there. But he was even more surprised by their location. They were no longer on the field, but he could see the other Cadets around them. He could see the Commodore’s back, standing between them and the agents of the Negaverse. “Thank you,” he said softly to Fangnyl, adjusting his hold around the other’s shoulders so he could lean close to press a kiss against his cheek, and then pulled himself out of his arms so he could stand-- or try to stand. He swayed a little and tried to ignore the blood that was still covering his face and uniform. The same blood that was covering Vyn. Andreiya was there too. And Fae-Fae. Was this everyone? Or… everyone who had been alive last he saw. “ Commodore,” he said quietly, because as grateful as he was to Fangnyl’s help, he was more concerned over the Commodore’s health. His energy looked like it was greatly depleted, and with the same attempt as before, he tried holding out his Source Stone to try and transfer some extra energy to him. But he didn’t dare move to try and get around the Commodore. He didn’t want to stress him out further by putting himself in apparent danger -- not when the Commodore was very clearly trying to shield them all from whatever the Negaverse was capable of doing. As much as he hated to admit it, and he would never admit it out loud, he was scared. He didn’t want anything to do with the Negaverse. They had done horrible things. The Commodore was protecting the Cadets from them even now, so why…? Was this really the only way?

Captain BloodstoneBloodstone stood straight and proud of their accomplishments. With Lopezite, they’d been able to hold off the destruction of their generator longer than others at least. He was proud of both Carnallite and Roselite as well. Roselite had especially shown his worth as an agent of the Negaverse -- at least as more than just someone who did reports and brought coffee. Carnallite he always knew would be an exceptional agent, and he expected her to continue to do great things.
“Are either of you injured?” he asked, giving them a quick look over, but he hadn’t seen where they took too much damage. Still, it would be a good idea for them to get medical attention if necessary.
For now, he wasn’t offering his medical services to anyone else. Carnallite and Roselite took priority. And he was looking forward to going home and taking a long shower and going to sleep. ——————————————— Corrupt Eternal Sailor Kamacite For several moments, Kamacite thought he must have passed out. The floating sensation was strange, but not unpleasant. And then they were in the Throne Room, as they had been several weeks ago, back when he and the other twelve agents had been informed of the aliens that landed on earth.
Well… the other eleven.
He muffled a quiet sob against his hand. He was still slumped as he sat on the floor, his free hand pressed over his eyes. He didn’t know what to do now. How was he supposed to get up and move on after seeing what he saw? And Axinite…?
Kamacite forced himself to look up, the draw of the auras from the General Sovereigns and Queen strong enough that he didn’t have to search for them. And his heart broke, because Axinite looked so blank. He would have seen everything as well, and it was only the lack of strength in his legs, and the fear he had for what might happen to him if he tried, from going to him and making sure he was okay.
But he already knew the answer. Of course Axinite wasn’t okay. He might not have been injured, but the trauma from losing Faustite likely wore heavy on him. ——————————————— Corrupt Sailor TaeniteTaenite kept Faustite in his arms -- it wasn’t as though he could do anything on his own at the moment. “I don’t suppose a starseed would be a good option at the moment. Not that I have any on me,” he shrugged as he watched the youma file in to help those in need of medical assistance. They’d been told not to bring starseeds or energy, so they would just have to wait so they could restock their subspaces.
“Hey, you’re not allowed to do that again, Ei,” he said, purposefully using the nickname he was warned to never use. It wasn’t as though Faustite could do anything about it at the moment. And even if Taenite was later punished for his mouth -- how horrible could it be? He was more useful alive and in one piece than dead or dismembered. Quote: All of mine are open for interaction!

Cadet EsoThe tone this woman took with them was strange. Nothing bad, but the pink alien would much rather go back that lazy sort of manner in which they arrived. Something about this whole thing seemed ... off. What did you get us into, Tenoch? he thought to himself. No, that wasn't fair. He didn't have to follow him. He could have betrayed his friend and went with his gut instinct. He supposes that wouldn't sit right with him in the long run, either. Honestly there was no winning in their situation once he had the time to look back on it. Nessa was still gathered to him, held tight. He wasn't going to let her go until she was stable enough to sit up on her own. Eso would be he shield until then. He glanced down at her, stroked her cheek carefully and then smiled. At least she'd bee awake enough to talk. Maybe she could rest soon. They really needed it. Laurelite did say resources would be available to them. "Tenoch," he whispered once it seemed they could be left on their own right now. "Tenoch are you alright? You were hit pretty badly..." Eso had been lucky, it seemed, barely coming up with a scratch during everything that had happened. Tenoch had taken the brunt of things so he could help get Nessa to safety. Or relative safety. He didn't trust this reprieve yet. She was going to want something from them, wasn't she?

Corrupt Deneb (Richelsdorsfite)With so many holes in her memory, having been corrupted on the battlefield, Deneb was largely just here, vibing, or something to that effect. She had no memory of the events that led up to her corruption, just Hessonite's words, asking if she didn't want to win for once, which had led to her concluding that this was the place to be, more or less. She had picked off some of the weaker Order senshi that had been attempting to attack the generators, but otherwise had taken no injury herself, thus, she was largely pleased with herself for reasons she didn't really know. Or remember. Just... an impulsive drive to get revenge, really. Because surely the White Moon had done her wrong in some way or fashion to lead to her now wearing black.

Corrupt Eternal Spacewatch of CometsMissing your attack and accidentally hitting a generator was no reason to get your a** kicked and smacked around by a bunch of generals- though, she did smile in the knowledge it took three of them this time to subdue her. Maybe next time she could manage four. But looking up from her position on the ground, Spacewatch blinked. Oh so this was the grand plan? Get a few new 'pets' to add to the queen's growing collection? How unfair, how boring, how... utterly pointless. The aliens clearly hadn't been effective- some lacking the knowledge of just how to complete the assignment of follow the leader. Not that she had much room to talk. She'd bitten Assanite after all. He deserved it. Frankly they all deserved what they got. Every last one of them. Turning her head, there was... someone new. Pity. Pity pity pity. Another one dragged in deeper and no doubt losing half of their head along the way. "Hey." She said, looking at Deneb, laying on the ground as she was, arms folding over her stomach. "Welcome to the circus."

Youma- HippocratesThe arrival of so many injured and fatigued was utterly delightful! So many wounded, so many different maladies, so many ways to find out just what made humans tick and tock. Glowing eye sockets of his skull flickered in joy as he walked among the throng of officers and corrupt, he spotted a most... unusual specimen. He'd seen them before part flesh part not. A strange thing they were, all tick and tocks but with real working parts! Hopping over one body and floating to them, the youma stared down at the being, glowing eyes fixed upon the remnants that were once the insides... now the outsides. How curious. "We suspect you are in need of assistance." The being was clearly inhuman so- " Friend." Hippocrates did not have 'friends'- but bedside manner was important.

Cadet Fae-Fae
It was dark. It was cold. The moment she had made the decision to stay with the Commodore and return home, Fae-Fae had suddenly been pulled into a polished wilderness of stone. There was organization and structure carved into it, clearly, but it still felt like a dead and wild place.
A sickly dread rising in her chest made it clear that she did not want to be here. They were surrounded, surrounded by the compatriots of the senshi who had ripped Gavaen's star seed from his chest. With a gasp and a jolt of terror, she suddenly feared it would be ripped away again while she was in this place -- but then, soft tendrils of fog wrapped around it from inside the bubble, hiding it from sight. It brought her some small relief. Not nearly enough. But some.
The hall echoed with a cold voice laced with sugar. The Queen's words sent a heavy chill down her spine. She had never thought anyone in the universe was in a position to mock the Commodore like that.
But she was.
As eager as he may have been to blame the Earth for it... the Vanguard's position right now was the consequence of Lyndin's first ever failed mission. The Cadets had stepped into a truly grim chapter of their own history.
And the Queen had said, no resources, no resources...
What would it take for them to return home?

General Chambersite
Chambersite groaned when they were finally back and Youma were starting to attend them. Laurelite just had to wait until the very last moment to teleport them huh? Couldn't have done it in groups or something? He grimaced as he let a Youma check his bloodied arm. He didn't care how proud she was of them. He did what they needed to do and she had gained some new Agents that would most likely go back and purify or be lost to death.
What they had gained other than some alien allies was beyond him.
Most of them had come, he wasn't surprised. But he couldn't help but think of one word as he looked at them. Fools. While he couldn't guess what Laurelite's plan was for them, he knew that whatever it was would eventually come back to bite them. That was how it worked in the Negaverse. One should be there willingly and with nothing to lose. Making deals would always end badly for whomever decided to do it. Not for Laurelite, not for Metallia. They would win in the end.
It was why he understood why the Senshi didn't willingly come over. But he had no problem with what Metallia and Laurelite wanted. He just didn't see the point in expanding such energy into something that they would eventually toss anyway. The energy should have been used for something more. He wasn't sure what, but that was the reason that they gathered it no? Some hidden reason for Metallia to want it. And he highly doubted that gaining some alien minions was the sole reason for doing so.
He sighed. There would be no point in confronting the Queen. This was something to mull over later and talk to Roquefort about. The little Youma would need to know what had gone on. The information would be valuable.

Corrupt Deneb (Richelsdorsfite)Someone was talking to her. Someone was... talking to her? Deneb hadn't exactly had the time to make acquaintances with the others yet- in the middle of the battlefield wasn't the time to exchange formalities- but someone was talking to her, another corrupt, and of a higher rank than her, and thus she felt compelled to respond. "'The circus'?" she repeated, curious, but also somewhat amused for some reason, "What is it that makes you call this a circus?"

Captain Prehnite Action: Tending to Hatsya, Mizuki, Hylonome.
Prehnite turned his head for a moment - did little more than blink - and suddenly found himself and the weight in his arms transported to a very familiar setting.
How many times had he seen the throne room? In how many different lights and layouts? Full of auras that filled the space - from the weak and wounded to the overwhelmingly powerful. He listened with bated breath as Laurelite spoke - took pause in his step to return -- and then smiled the whole rest of the way.
Quick-paced with the Lilac in his arms to stop besides Hatsya and --- "Oh, she's finally awake." features soft as he laid Mizuki down besides the pair. Let her lie and stir at her leisure -- if she was wounded he could not ascertain it himself. Was not well versed in bodies so much as he was in botany. Would keep an eye to the side just in case - peripheral gaze for the purple bled blacks, would call for aid if there was any actual blood to take note of.
"You know Hatsya..I might have a whole bouquet by the end of this." something that could've been a tease. A swift flicker of mirth in tone. He wanted nothing of the sort. Preferred to cultivate what little he had slowly - one thing at a time - one soul at a time.
It didn't change the fact that Prehnite for once seemed pleased. Offered Hatsya something softer than his normal appreciation that needed to be pulled tooth and nail. No, in this moment - with Laurelites warmth washing over them. With both his new charges and a third to be tended to, with all of them some form of safe and well.
Prehnite was visibly, for all the world to see, happy.
"I'm proud of you, you know?" let those words fall soft - let his emerald gaze flash from Hatsya back to ---- "And how are you?" said to (Hylonome) -- Who she was would be of more import soon enough. The shaping and gentle pruning of that personality in its earliest moments. Prehnite briefly considered her flower of white and the swirl of vine in her uniform. Brave thing that had played David to their Goliath plans before being swept under in the tow of darkness that had taken the battlement field and sky.
Impressive Senshi.
She'd gone down so quickly after it all, and he had to make sure they were both well enough.
teflaxx Oh good - you're up. Welcome home Hylonome~

General SylviteJust like that, Sylvite felt the tug of teleportation magic, and they were back. There was no prickle of static electricity here. There were no explosions. There was nobody around who she had to stab. It was pretty peaceful, honestly, and Sylvite let out a breath that she hadn't even known she'd been holding. Now that she didn't have five million other things to focus on, she could tell for sure that Albite was breathing. He still wasn't in great shape. She wondered, vaguely, who had done this to him. It made her stomach twist. Hopefully they'd gotten vaporized in whatever big boom had followed their escape. She fished an energy orb out of subspace, only stopping to glow for a second there when Laurelite said she was proud of them. Yes, she was pretty curious about the aliens in the corner, but that could wait until she made sure that everyone was okay. At least, everybody that could be okay. Now that there was a moment to breathe, the sight of Ochre's death decided to pop back up in her mind. She grit her teeth against that and practically shoved the energy orb towards Albite's mouth. "All the desserts, but first, you can have a little boost," she said. Then, she started scanning the crowd for her actual subordinates who had been at the generator with her. They'd seemed okay before she'd dashed off to try to help defend the last one standing, but if anything had gone wrong at the end there? Yeah, that would be bad. "Adonis?" she called out. "Fulgurite? Come check in, please!"

Cadet NaeriaAfter an odd tugging sensation, they were no longer on the hillside. However, they were not back on Velencya or even headed in that direction, either. Instead, they were in a different sort of biome entirely. Based on some of the pictures that she'd looked at, Naeria thought that it was possible that they were in a cave, but this did not look like any of the natural Earth caves that she had seen in her books, and the creatures skittering in between the black-clothed agents did not match the description of any local fauna, either. The agents were the most familiar thing about this place, and that was not a good thing. These were the ones who had hurt her, the ones who had killed Gavaen and possibly Caerynn. She stiffened against Andreyia as she watched their Queen. An arrangement, just in order to get home? "I do not like this," she whispered to Andreyia. "I do not trust her." For some reason, the blue-haired woman's gentle smile made her shiver.

General Jet It might have been purposeful how Jet placed his hand on Aquamarine’s hip as he scooted behind him to stand by his side, or it might have just been coincidental. Jet wasn’t much for displaying affection, especially not in public. But he was feeling maybe surprisingly sure of himself after everything.
They’d lost the generators, but he’d dispatched a traitor who had openly mocked the Queen. He might have expected to feel some kind of heaviness for stepping away from his duties for a brief moment, but he felt nothing but reassurance, whether that be from himself or something else entirely, he didn’t know.
Regardless, he still had every intention of apologizing to the Queen for his actions, and to present his trophies to her. That would have to come after.
“You alright, Ashanite?” Jet asked as he looked over to the General who had been bitten by one of their own. “Niter? Cymophane?” he asked as well, looking around for the two Negaverse Senshi who had put more effort than he’d expected of them. It wasn’t exactly a victory, but it was better than nothing.
