Transcended Eternal Sailor Kerberos
Roll: 2; 75% success
Currently: Regretting a senshi uniform with bare feet, using his hands to flip some kosopods to expose their underbellies

Ohh, Kerberos hated this. It wasn't that he was necessarily squeamish about bugs in general, but being swarmed by some curious and bitey little kosopods? No, that was not a good time for him. Not least because he had bare, exposed toes, and he skipped back from getting nipped on them only to smack his heel into a kosopod he hadn't seen and feel it bite into his ********," Kerberos gasped, and he kicked backwards, hard and on purpose, and he felt it let go and suspected it went flying--hopefully it splatted somewhere other than on the artifacts.

There were plenty of the little bastards, and as Kerberos aimed to flip them, he found himself bitten far more times than he would like; his arms and legs were riddled with the things. But at least they seemed to be making progress.

He hoped.

Sonora, Squire of Ida
Roll: 3 - 1 = 2; 75% success
Currently: Casting get-along zone magic to protect herself and Cryptomelane! Also getting bit. A lot.

Cryptomelane was so....matter of fact about it all. About the "work" he did for the Negaverse, about the cruelty of it, about...violence and killing and death.

She couldn't imagine it. Couldn't imagine accepting a duty that asked her to kill, and not being at least a little ashamed of it, no matter how necessary she felt it to be.

"Well," she said, softly, "I'm glad you're all here in...relative peace tonight, then." At least that made it easy to justify sticking with him. Looking after him a little. Honestly, something in her wanted to save him--to convince him that the Negaverse wasn't the only way, that maybe he could be something else. Because even if he was remorseless....she wanted to believe he wasn't a hopeless case.

"And, um. That you don't want to murder me specifically." Even if that did leave it open to him wanting to murder other people, which wasn't great.

But--the kosopods were upon them, and while at least they weren't in the path of the Queen, they were certainly in the path of the little guys. Some very angry little guys.

Oh, Sonora did not like this. She liked it even less when a kosopod climbed up her arm, hissed, and spit acid at her face. She managed to bring an arm up to protect herself, and yelped, swinging her arm and sending the thing flying--but she flinched, guiltily, when she heard a loud splat.

Oh, she hadn't wanted to kill it--

The acid started to burn through her pretty sleeve.

She yelped, scrambling to snap out her weapon and tear the sleeve off at the same time. It was a little clumsy, and she was pretty sure she'd gotten burned, but--she could protect both of them. Wanting to bite totally qualified as hostile intentions, she was pretty sure, and so she was able to call on her magic, even if she felt little kosopod teeth sink into her ankle while she was trying.

In spite of herself, no matter how much she wanted to pretend, she kind of liked Cryptomelane. He refused to look down on her or mock her for not wanting to fight. He seemed to respect her, all things considered. And she appreciated that. So, it only seemed right to make sure they were both okay.

"Stay in the dome," she told Cryptomelane, "and we should be safe. I'll let it go in a second so we can fight them, just...are you okay?"

Quote:
Magic: Sonora focuses, and around her, a circle of orchids blooms in a 10-foot radius, and a dome of shimmering golden light (10ft high at the apex) covers the area. Within the dome is a sanctuary; those with hostile intentions may not enter, and hostile behavior while within the sanctuary will result in being ejected. At Squire stage, Sonora can channel for 35 seconds.

Danube, Page of Cybele
Quote:
1: 50% success (you do not have to fail but you are having great difficulties; this might mean that you are overwhelmed by a large number of Kosopods attacking and have to work extra hard to meet your goal. You may sustain damage if you like, or just be otherwise inconvenienced by the Kosopods or other hardships)

Danube had returned the young woman's wide smile and Siegfried's and Hierapolis' introductions with a warm smile of her own, but there was no further time for pleasantries. There were kosopods everywhere, and that fact was very quickly very apparent. In fact, few things made it more apparent than the queen kosopod trying to take a piece out of Danube on its way past. She dove to the side, but was buffeted by legs and motion to a dizzying degree. She managed to escape outright harm, but she wasn't sure if that was luck so much as the queen not apparently being interested in taking a bite out of Danube in particular.

Cybele's instructions to attack the nest made it to Danube, and she was more than happy to acquiesce them--especially if it provided the also-requested distraction. There were only two problems. One, Danube only had her blunted arrow. Two, every time she turned around, she was surrounded by more and more of the kosopods. She was kicking and punching them as well as she could, and it was working to a reasonable degree, but it was hardly going to get her to the nest.

Expletives hissed from her lips none-too-quietly as she worked alongside the young woman whose name she still didn't know. Hieropolis was kicking the bugs around, which seemed to be working well for him, and Danube took inspiration into a couple of kicks, herself. Cybele's wings then got bigger, but Danube couldn't argue with the extra oomph that the transformation seemed to give Cybele. So Danube would do her best, even if she had to turn the air black and blue in the process.

Even if that meant she wasn't making any actual headway toward the nest for all of the kosopods in her way--

Phaethon, Super Senshi of Happiness

(+1 to roll from last round)

Quote:
150% success (Not only do you achieve your goal easily, you are able to work miracles; whatever you are attempting to do this round, you see great success! You can still choose to be inconvenienced or harmed by Kosopods.)

Phaethon could see people trying to kill the kosopods. He could see people trying to save the kosopods. The three kosopods that had approached him weren't outwardly aggressive. They scurried in a circle around him, always staying just out of reach while seeming to endlessly orbit. One did dart in towards his feet, earning a yelp and an instinctive kick. The kick missed, but the kosopod did nothing more than mouth his other boot before skittering back to rejoin its fellows.

Leaning over, Phaethon investigated his shoe and saw where the saliva from the nibbling had already eaten a small set of holes in the fabric. However, the dissolution didn't get far enough to expose his skin before petering out. So there was that fortune, at least. Phaethon took a step toward the kosopods, but they again moved just as far away from him, maintaining that steady distance. Another one ventured inward, and Phaethon held very, very still.

Again, however, the kosopod merely nibbled at the fringes of his clothing, the acid dissolving a small but noticeable amount of the fabric. Phaethon had no desire to have his clothes literally eaten away, but he wasn't sure what to do when the kosopods weren't being actually aggressive. Inquisitive, maybe, but not aggressive. In fact, they seemed to be attracted to the bells on his clothing.

"Hey... No..." He crouched down to try and shoo the bugs away from him, but stood back up in a hurry when the third one started to amble his way. "Okay, look, I have to go." Phaethon started striding forward, startling the trio into breaking their orbit and scurrying away nearby. But where was he going? What, exactly, was he going to do? He had been ready and willing to fight his way through them to try and get their numbers down, but there was a small part of him that had found the curiosity of the three kosopods sort of endearing.

For bugs, anyway, he supposed.

He saw, again, that some were trying to capture the kosopods, and for a moment Phaethon wondered what Nembus and his family would think of him bringing one home, but the last thing he needed was it getting lose and wreaking havoc. Besides, what would he feed a bug this size? And they were obviously colony bugs, so would it even be possible to keep one by itself?

While he was ruminating on this, he was making his way toward the nest. Whether through the distraction posed by others or through his own fortune, Phaethon managed to escape being accosted by any more of the bugs for the time being.

Quote:
Phaethon is open to interactions!

Corrupt Ilmari of Chastity.
Dice Roll: 3 + 1 = 4 (150% success).
Action: Sticking close to Albite and Vesuvianite (buddy system, hell yeah!). Using his magic on the kosopods attacking Vesuvianite to make them calm down (aggro kosopods turning into timid ones) so they can be more easily squished.

Eternal Fafnir had absolutely had the right idea in suggesting that everyone pair up. That made itself evident almost immediately: for as much success as the Mauvians with the team (Tama and Magnus), as well as Ms. Hestia seemed to be having, poor Vesuvianite seemed more than a little bit beset with trouble. First, the Queen—Ilmari thought sounded accurate for how that one looked, at least? Hive insects tended to have queens, didn’t they?—charged at Vesuvianite and nearly barrelled him over. Albite managed to get him out of the way, and Ilmari breathed a sigh of relief.

But he’d scarcely raised a hand to wave “hello” again when more kosopods set on Vesuvianite, flocking right too him as if they were starving and he was made out of their favorite candy. Ilmari hadn’t yet had occasion to use his magic on anybody who wasn’t human. He assumed that the space-born senshi among the ranks of Order would likely be affected more or less the same, given that they mostly seemed to be human but in different colors (yellow, lilac, green, blue, those sorts of shades), plus or minus some add-ons like horns or oddly shaped ears. Whether or not kosopods would also be affected more or less the same, Ilmari had absolutely no idea—but one of his teammates (somebody he thought seemed like an overall pleasant person to deal with, on top of it) was getting absolutely swarmed by these little monsters.

First, Ilmari quickly packed his tablet back up into its “pen” form. Better not to risk getting that damaged too, or else he’d need to bother a Mauvian to please help him with repairs that could’ve been avoided. Then, he focused on the kosopods and on willing the magic to only target them.

Chaste Decorum! Ilmari called out, then blew a kiss at the little monsters trying to eat poor Vesuvianite. Silently, he hope, hope, hoped that it would work.

Basic Senshi Magic
Instantly, targets feel a slight, illusory chill wash over them; the chill itself deals no damage. This chill puts targets in a chaste state of mind and resets them to a pure, unblemished state by cooling their passions, making emotions feel less potent, and urging targets to exercise restraint in their actions. This can be distracting and can leave enemies feeling dazed, stunned, or without any drive. These effects last for 30 seconds, and Ilmari may use this attack three times per battle.

Fortunately, it did. Whatever kosopod brains were like, they were apparently similar enough to humanoid ones that Ilmari’s magic worked on them like gangbusters. They all seemed to calm down almost instantly—at least, the ones attacking Vesuvianite and the rest of the team (Helio, Fafnir, Hestia, Borax, Albite, Tama, and Magnus) certainly did—and whatever Ilmari’s magic felt like for them or didn’t, the bugs seemed to forget that they had been getting attacked. They stopped biting. They stopped spitting. Any that had been rearing back, preparing to go after the people who’d attacked them in self-defense, they briefly seemed confused, as if the entire reason why they’d gotten in those positions abandoned their poor little brains in the middle of their attempted attacks. Some of them started skittering back toward the shadows, and some of the others seemed to give up entirely, flopping onto their sides or backs, exposing their soft underbellies.

“……That won’t last very long,” Ilmari said, still feeling a bit breathless over how well his idea seemed to have worked. “But they should be easier to squash now!”

Demonstrating that, he gently nudged one of them over with his foot. So unblemished by strong emotions, the kosopod either didn’t notice or didn’t care that Ilmari had gotten it onto its back as easily as breathing. Maybe it cared when he stomped down on it, ramming both the pointy toe and pointier heel of his cute little pumps into the space-bug. Squelching like that was a deeply unappealing sound, and Ilmari looked slightly sick about realizing what was on his foot. But they had a job to do here—one that General-King Jet had reaffirmed in the message that had flashed up just before Ilmari had put his tablet away—so as disgusting as the bug-guts were, Ilmari toed another kosopod onto is back and repeated the process. Stomp stomp stomp. Squish squish squish. He could take a long hot shower later, when he got back to the townhouse.

DSS Corvina of Windflowers
Dice Roll: 2 - 1 [rolled a 27 last round], RIP Corvina. :<
Action: He’s a damsel. He’s in distress. Lanting has it handled, though.

Whatever Lanting had done with the kosopods, it didn’t seem to have worked at all for Corvina. (Probably, it hadn’t worked at all for Corvina because he’d come over to the fossil case with a much different attitude and general approach to the situation, but that wasn’t the point and he didn’t want to acknowledge that fact right now.) Where the kosopods that came out to meet Lanting seemed well behaved and even a bit cute (as cute as an acid-slobbering, stupid, useless parasite could be, Corvina supposed), the ones who came rushing at Corvina’s hands seemed anything but.

The ones who rushed out toward him seemed angry. They seemed like the ones from the old tales he’d heard from Corvinate off-world explorers, about visiting planets where kosopod infestations had been left unchecked, spiraled out of control, and wound up with kosopods the size of palaces with mandibles that thought nothing about chomping a grown Corvinate in half and even worse temperaments than kosopods that had sometimes needed to get cleared off of their own world itself. Back then, Corvina had firmly believed those stories to be exaggerations at best and outright lies at worse. Nothing but warriors whose glory days had passed them by, trying to reclaim a sense of feeling like they were still the toughest and strongest around.

Getting bitten by so many of these little creatures at once, though, Corvina believed that at least the stories about the kosopods’ temperaments might have been true. Thankfully, none of the bastards who scampered up onto his arms—and from there, his shoulders and chest—were the size of palaces. But unfortunately, they didn’t need to be. Their acid hit just as badly as it always had, searing through Corvina’s clothes and making him whine softly as it started to singe his skin.

“Hey—hey, be careful,” he chided Lanting (you know, like a hypocrite). As though he didn’t remember that several other people were fighting the kosopods around them and could perfectly see what he was doing (Dunnottar, for the moment, had been entirely forgotten), Corvina gave Lanting a poignant, earnest, and incredibly sparkly-eyed expression. Corvina wouldn’t have called it a pleading expression……but pretty much anyone else would have, because that was exactly what it was. Rather than trying to bat the kosopods off himself, he gently nudged Lanting’s cane away from the attempts at protecting Corvina. “It’s okay if they get me. It’s just pain; I can take it. Don’t give them any reason to hurt you.”

The acid really did sting, in the places where the kosopods had gotten at his skin. Likewise, some of the bites felt like they went pretty deep. But Corvina could handle pain. Even if trying to swat the kosopods off himself (a seemingly fruitless endeavor that had yet to accomplish literally anything) made them attack him more, it was better than giving them any reason to attack Lanting.

Cadet Ny
Roll:
2 (75% success)
Action: trying to catch them, but there's so many...

The Littlest One in the high heels was definitely not wrong about things starting to move and shuffle about. A lot of kosopods were approaching their small group all at once, and even though Ny knew she probably should exercise some restraint, they were too close to being overrun to tread lightly. These creatures weren't acting aggressive yet, but there were a lot of them... And wellllll... They had to be reasonable here. Ny glanced back and forth quickly among the myriad of kosopods in her sight. She couldn't save all of them; she was a single pair of hands, and it wasn't possible.

Fysarius would be happy to have material from one or two, but there must've been a dozen, just in front of her! Nevermind what anyone else was looking at.

While the creatures advanced slowly and curiously, Ny was careful to keep just out of reach of them. She was not interested in being nibbled on or spat at, and these were precious few moments to figure out what she wanted to do. She didn't have any magic to speak of, and her gun was too slow to be especially efficient. But it seemed like clearing out a crate or two could make room for a handful of kosopods if she was quick about not letting them slip away from her.

The others...

Well, the only Velencian in her immediate line of sight was Fysarius, and Ny knew him well enough to figure that he wouldn't hold it against her if she did what they came here to do.

She frantically (and with kosopods underfoot) rooted through some of the boxes they'd just scooted out of the way until she found one that seemed perfectly acceptable to dump out (some rocks or geodes or something- they'd started in the ground, they might as well return to it). It wasn't a huge crate, but some of these kosopods were not too large, just very scuttly. When they came too close to her boot, Ny knocked them to the side and smacked her heel down hard enough on their underbellies to give her just a few seconds of stunned silence.

She collected what she could as quickly as she could, dropping two- three-four kosopods in the box before they could return to activity. The others seemed to recognize her schemes quickly. Some scuttled back to spit at her, others lunged forward, snapping at the heavy toe of her boots, earning a soft sound as Ny was startled. The ones that were close enough to bite at her and too writhy to be caught peacefully, well, she had to do what she had to do, and Ny tried to make it as quick as possible- And obvious to any other passerby that these were no longer a threat. One quick stomp to the underside was really all it took.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Super Dark Mirror Narcissus of Rejection
Roll:
2 (75% success)
Action: he is mostly being avoidant, clumsily knocking things over, and trying not to be hurt. He's sure he's helpful in some situations. Not this one.

Narcissus watched the alien woman with a sort of morbid displeasure on his face. Were they really doing this? They were. They were, and he wished there was a different tactic than just- just squishing- The kosopods were so much bigger than a regular bug, like, torso-sized! And Narcissus was just in open sandals. So even though Basyl was the type to catch whatever little bugs he found in his home and escort them safely outside, there was no just throwing a jar over these! And there were so many! So. Many.

They approached (not necessarily aggressively...), and he receded, stumbling back against some tower of artifacts and knocking something from the pile. Something heavy. And solid. That smacked the side of a kosopod with a great thud. It wriggled, and Narcissus didn't immediately realize that its legs had been crushed beneath the artifact. So if it wasn't angry before... It squirmed and writhed, spitting some kind of questionable poison toward anything that came near it.

And it wasn't really fair was it? They couldn't possibly have the intent to damage someone else's property; that was just the means with which they were able to survive. "Oh- I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I don't- I don't know what to d-do about that..." And he didn't know the likelihood of kosopods simply recovering from broken legs...

He glanced back helplessly toward Rakovanite, and as he whipped around, caught sight of something significantly bigger than most of these.

Something that would hurt them, if given the chance- And something distinctly for someone else to deal with, so Narcissus might as well leave them to it and get back to-

"Agh!" He whipped back to face the obstacle- obstacles in front of him now, where the one he'd (accidentally) damaged a few seconds ago had managed to spit acid onto the swishy fabric of his pants, seeping down from his knee to his open toes where it seemed to sear through the bottom hem of his pants and burn his foot. "********!" And now they were actively hurting him. And probably others.

They'd been called here to get rid of them. No, no- He couldn't, he couldn't- But he had to.

"I'm sorry- I'm sorry. It'll be v-very fast, I hope. I promise." And maybe it would've been if he could commit to the act of just taking it out (he'd already let it suffer by breaking its legs), but God, Narcissus just wasn't sure he had it in him. So he method of eradication was mostly just... knocking things from shelves and praying.

Eternal Sailor Alastor
Action: Standing with Sessrumnir, crushing aggressive Kosopods as they attack

For as much as Alastor wanted to deny that he didn’t know what Sessrumnir was talking about, he was also trying to make a conscious effort not to be unnecessarily secretive. There was enough going on now that he suspected Michael would give him some patience; they could talk later.

Sessrumnir was very predictable, of course. Trying to put himself between Alastor and the Negaverse. He wondered if Sessrumnir found comfort in the contact as well.

Not these, no. I don’t think they ever made it through the atmosphere. Too bad, maybe they could have done something about the Chaos on my world. Or at least been a good snack.

He knew Sessrumnir was teasing him and he appreciated it because it was infinitely better than thinking about the giant centipede that just came out of nowhere. He thought it rather fitting that it went for Jet, though he was disappointed that it didn’t trample him completely.

It would have saved them a lot of grief.

The aura of a General King was sickening and he hoped the Kosopods hated it as much as he did. At least Cybele was there to counter it somewhat.

Shall I collect some for us to try?’ he asked. He was glad that Ephesus had gone to another room; he hoped there was less carnage there.

The Kosopods were swarming around them–and they seemed angry. Spitting and hissing and biting, it seemed like their queen had successfully summoned her troops. Alastor did not find them particularly intimidating–they were small, and he had many layers of clothes, but when they started trying to climb him, trying to eat through his shoes, he exhaled. “I’m sorry,” he apologized, and he flipped one over with the toe of his boot and crushed it. The others didn’t seem to care; one of them seemed to think this was a good time to take a break and start snacking on it.

Alastor grimaced but such was nature. He had a big heart, he cared, but the Kosopods seemed brainless and automated. They were pests. If they would eat each other, certainly they would eat anyone else.

He might not have ever come into contact with them but he’d heard of species so hungry that they consumed until there was nothing left. There was no moderation. Maybe this wasn’t a problem in the empty expanse of deep space but he had no idea how close they were to Earth, or any other world he held close to him.

    Best to control the population.

Don’t tell Atticus,’ he said, and started taking out more before they could do too much damage to his legs. One had already spit acid at them–and thankfully he had long sleeves. He blocked it before it could do damage but he could smell the fibers of his sleeve disintegrating.

Best to be rid of these things soon.

Connie, Squire of Chronos
Roll: 4
Action: Making a poor attempt at hiding.

Oh! Stomping her feet! That was a good idea. So she did her best to tip tap quickly against the floor, hoping that would be enough to keep the little bug things away from them. She hadn’t seen them at first when they arrived at the museum, but once she did she was very much not okay!!

It was good to know that he had worked with Targovishte before! But she was pretty sure that Belmont would work well with just about anyone, because he was so strong and brave!

But it looked like the other Squire was having a bad time, so Connie tried to take a deep breath and -- took another deep breath. It was okay! These were just bugs! She always had trouble with bugs, but she’d volunteered to come and help, and she didn’t want Belmont bogged down having to carry both of them.

“I’m okay!” she promised, flashing them both a nervous smile.

At least until a giant centipede suddenly came out of nowhere.

Connie shrieked and dropped to the ground just as the Queen Kosopod charged through the area. It only stepped on her a few times, which was -- oh no, was that how a bug felt when it was being stepped on??

She let out a shaky, dramatic sob. There were no tears! She was just trying to catch her breath and not get run over again!

“I’m okay!” she whimpered weakly again, shaking as she tried to push herself back up before the rest of the little creatures came crawling over and onto her oh no!!! A handful were already trying to curiously chew on her dress and she covered her eyes like that would help any.

General Benitoite
Action: Time to start killing bugs...and protecting the boyfriend.
Roll: 4 =150%

The only thing he could think of was how glad he was that these weren't spiders, so very glad, he did not need to have a full blown panic attack infront of so many people especially those of order. Kosopods he could handle...at least he thought so, the numbers though seemed impossible, given the numbers he was seeing. "s**t..." A harsh whisper as his hands tightened on his weapon, looking from Kafka to Witherite, the queen was not just loud but she was very much in charge of the other kosopods. "So then we can assume she's been breeding..." And maybe that explained why there were not than the merchant expected? Though how big were these things when they hatched? He did wonder for a moment, as a group of kosopods decided to approach himself, and Kafka, and while they didn't hurt him he did notice them going for Kafka.

Moving closer to his partner, watching as they used their magic on the kosopods, the ones around him were following him and nibbling at his boots but not destroying them - not spitting acid. They seemed too curious, he bet they were trying to figure out if he was a food option. Glancing down, and around, he spotted Kafka's visible foot through all the kosopod bodies moving and skittering about. The boot had been destroyed and his foot left vunerable, and likely in need of some care later.

"I got it." And he started acting, using his spear to flip kosopods over and stab at them, slicing when he could manage, he tried to clear them away from himself and Kafka. His cape took an acid attack and was slowly being eaten away by the acid, as it seemed to spread and eat away more of the dark fabric. At least it wasn't any clothing that was in close contact with his skin, for now, he wasn't liking this situation. "This is why I hate space...it's always something dangerous."

Deep Space Eternal Selinur
Action: Kicking a few of them, one wanted to get too close and personal, and using his magic.
Roll: 4 =150%

Cursing the ancient senshi watched as kosopods approached him, some moving around him in circles quickly, the blond haired senshi twisted and turned to keep an eye on the things - he didn't trust them. A hand planted on a case, filled with some sort of artifact, to steady himself as he got dizzy from following the bugs movements. They were too curious, almost as curious as he was about this whole place, and that didn't sit well with him. Growling as one got too close, nibbled on his uniform and stood on his foot as it tried to stand up, he finally kicked at the bugs underside as it was working on standing up to investigate his face perhaps. Sending it back he tapped his foot on the ground, deciding to make thigns for them a bit more difficult. "Freeze up."

His magic, he hoped, would make the ground a bit harder for them to move on and send them slipping and sliding as it would make attacking and killing them easier. The one he'd kicked wasn't the only one he attacked, as he kicked at another, putting his boot under it and lifting as he kicked. These thigns needed to die...they were a danger to anywhere they got..a menace to space because of their appatite and how quickly the multipled. If not for the artifacts in here he'd have shouted for someone, anyone, who had fire magic to put it to good use and find an accelerant.

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Freeze up.
Selinur will tap his foot gently on the ground, whilst calling out his attack, this attack can be used two times in battle and lasts 35 second each time. When he taps his foot on the ground it’ll cause the temperature to drop within a 7 foot radius of him. For the duration of his magic, it appears as though chilly rain is rapidly falling around him. Wherever the rain drops land will immediately solidify into a frozen glaze. He will be immune to the glaze but the ground beneath him and anyone or anything who comes into contact with the falling rain will be rapidly chilled by the layer of glaze that grows over them. The ground beneath him will rapidly become slippery, and any items near him will become too cold and slippery to pick up. The seven foot radius of his magic moves with him, however the more he moves, the less rain coats an area and the less slippery it will be. When the magic ends, the glaze will immediately dissipate unless players want to have lasting damage. The rain falls much faster at this stage than it did in his basic magic, allowing him to coat more in less time.

Dark Mirror Eternal Melpomene
Action: Keeping close to General Chalcanthite, prepairing for the kosopods.
Roll: 3 =100%

"I don't disagree, we might need time to decide what this warrents as far as compensation goes." He spoke, already stomping on another of the kosopods that Chalcanthite had sent his way. He was, sadly, already dealing with a group of his own which had decided he was not only interesting but a threat to them. They'd decided to swarm abotu him and nibble at his uniform, one spitting acid at his arm as he'd been mid swing at another. Hissing and clutching his arm as his uniform was eaten away and elft his skin visible. "Damn it."

Another kick and another one down before an idea hit him....like an epiphany. If he could use his magic on one of the lager bugs he might just make it useful and turn it against the others...or not. But it was worth a shot with his maghic. Picking one of the larger kosopods he took aim and sent his magic out towards it, hoping it would gain feelings...for him and that it might just help to keep him safe. He had to hop the idea would work...and keep him safe as he'd have a kosopod shield of sorts. "True Loves Kiss." Blowing a kiss to the bug, how that must look to nayone who didn't know what he was doing, and he sent up a quick plea for this to work. "Hope this works Chalcanthite, I might have us an friend soon."

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: True Loves Kiss
Again Melpomene will press his fingers to his lips and blow a kiss towards his target (faction doesn't matter) and again, like the last time, a swirl of bleeding heart flowers will be directed towards his target. Upon impact the person will feel an uncontrollable love towards those around them and will not only seek to help them but will even try and protect them - going so far as to put themself in harm's way if the feelings are that strong. This attack can be used twice in battle and lasts forty seconds.

*Once he locks onto a person, and blows the kiss, it will hit them even if they move - unless they move out of his five foot range.

Sara Draconia

Eternal Corrupt Miyamoto.
Action: Breaking a glass case to grab a weapon, well he's using it as a weapon.
Roll: 4 =150%

Disgust flowed through him at the sight of the bugs, far more than the alien had claimed there to be, and the queen...well that was a sight. It the size of a bus and certainly had them all flocking to her, like brainless lemmings really, they just followed orders and went off to attack, and investigate, their group. Great...they were, without a doubt, out numbered by these things and they didn't seem all that easy to kill. Fire would work, surely it would, but at the risk of burning this whole place down and take themselves all with it...no thank you. The bugs had a weak underbelly, great, you just had to tip them over and given the size of some of them he didn't think that would be an easy task.

Looking around, ignoring the curious little ******** about his feet, he found a glass case that had somethign in it which he might just be able to put to use. Without much thought, or even a single care really, the corrupt braced himself before putting his elbow into glass case so he could retrieve the item inside. It certainly had weight, and his ******** arm hurt and his uniform was cut up and he could feel warm blood already. Gritting his teeth as he hefted the item with his good arm he swung at the first kosopod he could, one down at his feet inspecting his hair no doubt. He'd deal with the self inflicted injuries later...once he was back on Earth and away from this hellhole. The merchant had mentioned payment for this....he did hope he followed through with that after all this. Swinging again, he was trying to flip the things so he could than strike them in their vunerable underside.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter
Roll: 1
Action: Using Princess to help them with the Kosopods. Not having that great a time himself as they aggressively attack him.

Sessrumnir made a face when Alastor suggested collecting some for them to try.

Absolutely not,’ he responded, even though he knew (hoped) that Devyn was only teasing. Michael was no stranger to trying exotic foods, but essentially eating cockroaches or centipedes was beyond any desire he had to try new things.

As for finding out more about Devyn’s sudden discomfort, he knew they would just have to talk when they got home. But he wanted to make sure Devyn knew he was thinking about it and concerned about him.

The shriek of the Queen, and sudden burst of Chaotic energy had Sessrumnir growling with discontent. Not that he was particularly happy before, but if things were going to get worse, he would rather not do it around a General King.

“Alright girl, you want to crush some bugs with us?” he asked as he reached for the fang at his hip. The room itself was large and had cleared out a bit as people went to side rooms, but he knew they only had so much space.

Especially for a large wolf.

Princess wasted no time after emerging. She looked like she wasn’t too excited about biting any of them, but she could easily flip the creatures over and then pounce on them.

In fact, it seemed like she thought it was a game -- had it not been for all the Chaos around her, which she snarled at.

“Just for a bit,” Sessrumnir promised as he gave her a pat and then knocked off one of the Kosopods that tried climbing up his leg.

As much as he didn’t want to kill anything, getting rid of an infestation was crucial. They couldn’t risk these getting to Earth.

Never,’ he agreed with Alastor about not telling Atticus as he flipped another to stomp on, and then knocked a few towards Princess to pounce and crush with her front paws.

Unfortunately, the number of Kosopods being crushed seemed to signal to the others that they needed to attack. Sessrumnir didn't have the luck that Alastor had when it came to being fully clothed (or furred, in Princess's case), and his arms were mostly exposed above his elbows.

He hissed when the little bugs swarmed and climbed up his legs, biting and spitting acid. He did his best to knock them off, and even Princess stopped in her pounding to start ripping them off with her teeth, but they just wouldn't stop.

General Rakovanite
Roll:
1
Action: Shameless murdering. :/ No thanks at the additional inconvenience it would cause to try and keep these things alive. He's being inconvenienced enough already.

Did it seem like there were more of these nuisance creatures directly under his feet than there were anywhere else. Rakovanite found that whether he wanted to avoid them or not was completely irrelevant. Whether the kosopods were expressly aggressive or not: also irrelevant. There were enough of them weaving between him and his companions that if he took a step back, he knocked into one. There was simply no avoiding them, and if that was the case, was he not better off getting some of them out of his way?

They were too sturdy to slice through from the top, and just stepping on the smaller ones barely seemed to do much either. Rakovanite had to actively select a target, kick it over, and stab a bladed edge of his chakrams right down into their midsections.

It was tedious.

And slower than he'd like, but no one with him had any useful magic as far as he was aware of. Even the alien girl wasn't using the gun she was clearly carrying around, so Rakovanite didn't know what to make of that.

Narcissus glanced at him, whimpered out pitiful curses, and Rakovanite knew there was some expectation that he would go over to the Senshi, sweep these creatures away from him, and carry on. But if Narcissus was being nibbled on and spat at, Rakovanite was being bitten and drenched. Maybe the kosopods sensed that he was easily more malevolent than Narcissus or the alien pair. The Senshi apologized, despised the act of harming them, the alien girl picked her battles: sparing some and dispatching others.

Rakovanite wasn't ******** around. If they came close, he took them out. It just happened that a lot of them came close all at once, and it was a chore to try and maneuver them in ways he could kill them, and they snapped at his boots, ripped the sturdy fabric at his ankles, spat something toxic to drench through the fabric at his shoulders- so much so that he could hear it fizzling close to his ear, eating through the fabric until his sleeve dropped off and hung low on his arm. "I am not able to help you right now," he seethed softly to Narcissus. Of course, if he needed to, he would at whatever cost, but...

Narcissus didn't look terribly hurt. He was fine. For now.

Corporal Fysarius
Roll:
4
Action: He's got a handy-dandy gathering and zapping weapon, so he is surprisingly chill.

Oookay, well, this wasn't exactly what he'd intended when he designed his weapon, but it was honestly pretty heckin' close. As someone who enjoyed collecting small specimens, it had seemed like a lucrative idea to fashion something that would help with that. It wasn't like he'd picked a spider-themed weapon and a spider-themed civilian name because he was bad at collecting bugs.

It wasn't his plan to be swarmed, but you know. Sensuis.

He angled a shot from his glove to land in a small spray perhaps a yard away from him, careful to make sure it would target kosopods that would wander too close to Ny, but not close enough to catch her in its magnetic pull. He couldn't just fire the threads off at will, but having a few seconds to snatch up anything that had been stunned by the shock and pack them away in the boxes Ny had prepared didn't really hurt him, either.

Any that he caught seemed contused enough to not put up a fight, and he found himself to be perfectly uninjured.

Why was everyone else so bad at specimen harvesting?

Fysarius' Weapon:
A black metallic bracer with spider themed etchings. A chartreuse energy crystal is inlaid in the center. The bracer shoots out a small volley (five) of energy threads each about a foot long that remain on the field for ten seconds. The threads have a magnetic effect that draws things to stick to it (at opposing player’s discretion, such as they could draw in small debris from nearby or entangle part of a limb or pull toward each other). If they make contact with a person, the threads will deliver a static shock (the equivalent of scooting around in your socks on carpet and then touching someone). The threads can be deployed once every thirty seconds.

General Witherite
Roll:
3-1 = 2 - 75% success
Action: Dodging the queen and fighting off attack bugs while getting back over to Beni and Kafka

All hell broke loose as per usual, Wither wasnt the least bit surprised. The queen however, her size and particular surprised with and he didnt have enough time to really dodge the bus sized bug, and found himself knocked a few feet away from Beni and Kafka. Tossed against the walk hard, he groaned deeply which turned into a growl.

He ******** hated space, he should not have some up here. Dammit. He climbed to his feet, frowning when a few bugs seemed to have it out for him. One spit acid at him and he managed to dodge it, but the other's followed suit and he felt the acid burn the his pant legs stinging his skin. He immediately tried to keep the acid from eatting away at his skin wiping at his with his cape and causing a whole to ********," he said flipping his weapon and holding it like a hockey stick before swinging hard that bugs to knock them away and moving down the wall back toward his leader.

"Sorry bossman, angry bugs on my 12," he hissed out before turning and kicking one of the attacking bugs before stabbing at another with his triton. Fighting back of them seemed to have little effect on how aggressive they were being.

Acrucis -
Action - With Shang and Vimi trying to fight off aggressive bugs trying to bite at her ankles.
Roll: -1 penalty for rolling low.
rolled a 33: If you rolled a 1-40 in the previous prompt, an aggressive cluster of Kosopods has approached you. They are angry and hungry! They may attempt to bite at your feet and legs, knock you over, or spit acid on you if you are unlucky. Kosopod saliva is incredibly acidic and can dissolve clothes as well as cause instant skin irritation. If left on the skin for too long, it can and will cause severe burns. These Kosopods want to cause harm.
current prompt 3: 100% success (you achieve your goal without much hardship; you may choose to be inconvenienced by Kosopods or harmed by them, but you should find yourself proud of what you are able to accomplish)

Other sister? That must mean Viminal must be Rose. They’d met briefly on a few occasions and were sure that once they returned to Destiny City she’d recognize her once they powered down.

Acrucis offered Shangri-La’s sister a gentle smile, “I’ll do my best to keep you both safe.” She reassured them both. An easier task now that she was a Super senshi and had access to more potent healing magic.

To his request, she withdrew her senshi phone from her subspace and opened up the flashlight app. “It’s not that bright but it’ll have to do for now.” Rainier was often the one who came more prepared for these sorts of situations and likely had one of those torch lights that could illuminate an entire campsite. In contrast, her own subspace was stocked with first aid equipment, bottles of water, and some small snacks; things expected of a medic to have on hand.

“Can you tell me what Rhea looks like so I can help keep an eye out for her?” No sooner had she offered her assistance did a large golden Kosopod let out a loud shriek which caused a flood of smaller Kosopods to scatter from their hiding places.

Some were fortunate in that the bugs seemed disinterested in them, Acrucis was not so lucky. One would think that she had been the one to throw a stone at their next with how aggressively they came rushing towards her.

One of the smaller kosopods latched onto her shoe and tried to bite her leg through the leather-like material. Kicking her leg to fling the thing off her only worked for a few seconds as another quickly replaced it, and so, much to her chagrin, and at the risk of losing her last meal, she stepped on the next one with her heel which was met with an almost sickening crunch. Fortunately, that seemed to be enough deterrence for the others to leave her alone, at least for now.

Viminal Page of Venus
Roll: 4 = 150% success
Action: Kicking the bugs away and smacking at them with her mirror

It didnt escape her notice how Shang introduced her, which meant whoever this was Vimi already knew here. She knew Shang wouldn't be so loose with her identity otherwise, clearly this woman knew Xander.

"Its nice to meet and you and thanks," she said glad to have someone else looking out for them especially her brother, even if he was the strongest one of the three of them at the moment.

She went to answer the girls question about Rhea, but the screech the monstrous bug set off chaos in the area and she found herself surrounded by a plethora of bugs. She backed away and the creature came forward, not seeming to want to attack her, but Acrucis on the other hand.

"Geez, what the heck, " she said moving to help Acrucis, which lead to the bugs deciding that they would indeed attack her, one leaping and biting her leg. Her reaction was instantaneous, taking her mirror and knocking the thing off as quickly as possible.

The saliva ate through he knee high and she had to snatch a piece of fabric from her uniform to quickly try to wipe the spit away feeling the sting of it on her skin. "********," she said, as another one jumped at her and she kicked it as hard as she could.

Shangri-La Knight of Pluto
Roll: 3 = 100% success
Action: Batting the bugs away with his weapon ... literally

Acrucis was always so thoughtful and it was why she was one of Shang's favorite people. She always would be ... was he happy any of them were in this situation, nob... but Acrucis was always a good ally to have around.

"Thanks," he said before starting to explain, "Rhea is in pink and yellow ..."

Chaos descended when a world record setting bug came rampaging out of wherever it had been hiding and set a path to a wall knocking over several people in its path.

He didnt have time to worry about that because the smaller ones were suddenly everywhere attacking, well some were ... it was the weirdest thing to be started down by the, one trying to nibble his boot.

His sister exclamation drew his attention and sent him into action which of course made the rest of the bugs around him attack. He wielded his staff more like a tennis racket and started batting them so to speak. Vimi kicked on and he batted it across the room.

He smirked, said to her and Acrucis, "... keep them coming," as he sister kicked another his way.
