Special groves in the sheath hold them together, and Luo's chakra holds them together when unsheathed. Using the hilt to control each and every senbon's movement using strings of chakra, Luo can cause the blade to "bloom" having the senbon burst out towards the opponent for attack or defense. Luo has created a few special moves for the blade for offense and defense. However, if the hilt is knocked out of his hand somehow, the blade falls apart completely, or if in "bloom" the senbon in the air will just drop since they aren't being fed chakra strings through Luo's hand and the hilt.

Personality: Luo tends to be pretty quiet, only speaking freely to those close to him, otherwise only when important or spoken to. He is a very intelligent individual, being able to reach satsubatsu, and then kage at his young age. Because of this, he's often lost in his own thought, even in battle causing him to seem aloof sometimes. He doesn't like the idea of fighting, and will try his hardest not to unless necessary for his village. Luo is also known to be more than meditative, as his clan has molded him to be. He doesn't outwardly show it much, but he is a very caring person, especially when it comes to his village and his friends.
Nindo: Words can heal, the sword cannot. Help anyone in need that is not the enemy. The pride of the mist will be upheld with my life.

╫Background Information╫
Luo grew up and trained in the mist. He entered the academy at four, and by sixteen, had gone through it and in fact reached jounin because of his high aptitude. Taking two years off to train alone, Luo ventured deep into the mist and trained so harshly in suiton in order to gain what some would call a sage-like mastery over it. He then signed a contract with the sharks, and returned to serve his village. Since his beginning as a ninja, Luo has never failed a mission. His father an ex ANBU and his mother a shinobi from the rain. It was his mother who taught him how to use the senbon, and during his training, he mastered them as his primary weapon as well. After training with his mother, he trained heavily under his grand-father in his clan's jutsu, and under the former Mizukage in water jutsu. While training under the Mizukage, his friend and squad-mate Zane who was more apt at wind jutsu and sought to learn puppet mastery, left to train under the former Kazekage. It was after their training, and the moment they both reached jounin that disaster befell both kages. Since both villages were allied, a coup was set up by a renegade group of shinobi, and both kage's were killed. In each village, Luo and Zane both sought revenge, and slaughtered each and every man involved in the coup. In doing so, their battle prowess was seen, and seeing as how each of them were personally trained under both kages, were best suited for the positions. So Luo, remained in Kirigakure under obligations not only to his kage, but to his village under the silent treaty signed by his clan, and became Nindaime Luo Ushio, and Zane who remained in Sunagakure under obligation to the village, supposedly became Nindaime Zane Hajime. Since that moment, both countries became allies for life, and the two instantly began rebuilding the villages to their best abilities. After this tragedy, Luo became the head of the Ushio clan as his grandfather resigned and gave him the full chakra burn on the back of his neck. He resides in Kirigakure with his family and friends, although he thinks of his best friend quite often.

For someone who feels pain all day, he is surprisingly upbeat and is always ready to take on any challenge. Shinji takes no crap from anyone. Unwilling to allow the weakness of his childhood to ever be shown again, he will take any challenge on with a smile which has been described as 'devilishly scary', but to Shinji, it is only amusement and determination.

Shinji can often be misinterpreted as dangerous and chaotic, but in reality he simply enjoys combat. Those who have fought agaisnt him have often seen him smiling and laughing during combat and have labeled him a bloodthirsty monster for doing so. Shinji however, would simply say that he enjoyed combat and that he got a thrill out of testing his ability and going all out on another person. Given his immensity of chakra, the brutality of the Konaga's attacks, and the fierceness of his combat style, he has been labeled a 'Chakra Demon' by many of his fellow students... a nickname which he has seemed to embrace.

╫Background Information╫

To even survive birth as a Konaga is a miracle, let alone to live past your 5th birthday. Shinji's parents were travelers, as most Konaga were, something within them spurring them on to meet others, afraid of being known. Growing up however, Shinji always knew that he wanted to be a ninja and after many discussions with his father, he was finally allowed to join the academy, albeit later then he would have liked at the age of 10. His father had been a ninja and had been a leading pioneer in the development of Konaga abilities and was well known within certain circles, but had settled down and withdrawn from a combative world once his wife had given birth to a son.

Having taught his son the basics of the Konaga Clan's abilities, Shinji's father sent him off to the ninja academy knowing that his son would instantly be an asset to the village. Life for him was hard as he faced extreme amounts of persecutions from his fellow students, many of them jealous of his natural talents, leading to many fights. One night however, when a band of boys ganged up to beat him, Shinji lost control, his bloodline's Raging Spirit taking over as he severely injured all of them, tearing holes into solid stone buildings, and eventually blacking out in the middle of the street, his body covered in thick, black electrical looking burns across his entire body [Read RP Sample Here]. Since that night, no student dared cross him outside the academy's typical activities, and even in school, Shinji was feared for what he might do.

Instead of feeling isolated and alone however, Shinji embraced the fear he could strike into others, using to build his confidence as he often challenged and threatened others into testing their limits. Very rarely was he ever taken up on the offer, but Shinji was always confident that had the challenge taken place, he would have decimated his foes. After 3 years at the Academy, Shinji was ready to take the test to become a Genin, but suddenly became possessed with the need to travel after hearing a story his father told him. Setting off on a trip, Shinji spent 3 years hunting down his sword, Forza. Along the way, he had met many Konaga and various others across the ninja world, significantly growing in strength in the areas of taijutsu and swordplay after having been forced to use them on many occasions to protect himself from common thieves over the years. After finally achieving his goal, Shinji returned home to his father and mother for a day, only to show them that he had been successful on his journey before heading out back towards the Iwagakure to carve his path as a ninja.
