Kai thought about it for a moment, his mouth hanging open just a bit. "Oh, well yeah. I guess that could have done it", was his only reply. With a shrug and a shake of his head Kai turned back towards his clone, looking into it's eyes for a moment as if looking at it just right might change it back to grey. After a moment Kai sighed and got back to the task at hand learning that other jutsu.

Kai closed his eyes as he visualized the hand-seals that LT had made earlier, forming each one slowly with his own hands. After a few moments of memorizing the hand-seals, Kai smiled and performed each one in rapid succession as he opened his eyes and cried out, "Uo Tsuba no Jutsu!" As he said the words, the blue sapphire color spread through his eyes starting off in the center and spreading out to the edges, looking almost like ink as it spreads on a white sheet of paper. Kai inhaled deeply, building up chakra in the back of his throat as he did so. After holding it for a moment, Kai exhaled and felt a rush of water rising up in his throat and shooting into his mouth. But instead of shooting out a jet of water, the water just poured out his mouth and landed on his feet. Kai's brow furrowed for a moment in frustration before he took another deep breath and thought through the problem. Kai smiled as he realized what he had done wrong, and he immediately performed the hand-seals as he said clearly, "Uo Tsuba no Jutsu!" He inhaled deeply, just as he had done before, and then began to exhaled again. But as he exhaled he focused a wave of chakra to push the water up through his throat and out through his mouth all at once. The result was a steady stream of water that shot out nearly ten yards. [2/2 Uo Tsuba learned]

Kai smiled as he observed his handy work. Turning towards Yamatano, Kai grinned evilly. He quickly performed several hand-seals and cried out, "Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu!", creating two perfectly formed water clones. Then in unison each clone performed several more hand-seals and cried out, "Uo Tsuba no Jutsu!" The streams of water spewed from each of the Kaizen's mouths and were sent hurtling towards Yamatano.

Kai and one of his clones turned towards each other, and they both snickered. But as Kai's eyes met the eyes of his clone he stopped short. The clones eyes weren't white like the previous clone's had been, they were now a deep sapphire blue. They had changed as the clone had performed the water jutsu, just as Kai's did. After staring in wonder and confusion for a while, the clone's eyes began to revert to their original stark white color. Kai gasped and took a step away from the clone. "What's going on?! Why is it doing that!?", Kai called out, looking from his clone, to LT, then Yamatano, then Kanzuki, and then back at the clone, his face a mix of concern and wonder. By now his own eyes had reverted to a stark white, and as he stared into the eyes of his clone the clone stared right back a look of confusion stamped across its own face.

Kai thought about it for a moment, as he stared into his clones eyes, his brow furrowed in annoyance at not understanding. "I don't know, my parents never said anything about it, what kind of a bloodline makes it so that my eyes change from stark white to blue? And why did it happen when I...", Kai stopped mid-sentence as a revelation dawned on him. My clone's eyes changed color when it used a water jutsu, so mine probably did to. I've heard of different bloodlines lying dormant until a traumatic event occurs, could my parent's death have done this?, thoughts scrambled through Kai's head as he tried to figure things out, he closed his eyes and began rubbing his temples as the thoughts kept coming faster and faster.

But how does this explain my sudden ability to use water jutsus, what had changed since the Gobi... wait didn't the Gobi's eyes keep changing color... no, no that's crazy..., Kai suddenly opened his eyes and looked up at Yamatano, his face emotionless. "Yamatano, you said that only a kage or someone really powerful could defeat a Demon. How would they do?", Kai's voice was as emotionless as his face, his stark white eyes boring into Yamatano, demanding an answer.

Kai's jaw dropped at Yamatano's statement, "Ch...changed my molecular structure?! Oh crap! What does that mean, what's going to happen!?" Kai looked down at his body, searching for anything out of the ordinary.

(gee, I sure do wish I could learn some more jutsus, *sigh* )

Koteh nodded to Kai from the original techinque of water manipulation. He followed the hand signals and focused his chakra.
"Mizu Soujuu no Justu!" he called out.
His father before he died taught him the basic knowledge of chakra. He first tried to pull the waves, and only managed to lift them on the shore just a little higher than usual. (1/3) He was determined, he glanced at the other jutsus the others were doing. Koteh got a little frustrated, but he was determined and stayed focused. The images of his dead family reappeared in his mind, his anger rose and so did the black chakra. Koteh did the hand signals again, and this time the water came up higher past his feet and the water began to boil. (2/3) He winced and noticed Riku came up to him. Koteh listened to what Riku said, and nodded his head. He tried it, and focused the chakra around the water. His arms pulled the water to him, and the water rushed at him and stopped as he moved his arms forward. He did several times, until it became a rhythm motion. (3/3) Koteh couldn't help but smile a little as he did it.

"Thank you, I'm Koteh Buruk, who are you?" he inquired to Riku. Before he could pay attention to Riku's response he heard the conversation between Kai and Yam. On instinct Koteh reached for his axe and turned around. He looked at the student next to him.
"Why are his eyes a different color?" he whispered. His hands kept a tight grip and stared at the sensei. If something went down he would hope the instructor would intervene.

Luo yawned a bit as he strode calmly toward the beach. He was surprised to see the kids there training. "LT must have kept them here all night. Too bad he's half asleep over there in that tree," Luo thought to himself. Luo's eyes then glanced to the newcomer with his hand on the axe. He looked ready to strike for some reason. Judging by the water near everyone in small puddles, he could guess most of them had completed the water clone jutsu, but the kid only had a large puddle of water next to him, meaning he was only up to water manipulation. His body seemed to flicker with the speed only a kage leveled speed ninja would have as he appeared behind the boy. "May I ask why you are reaching for that rather large axe on your back young man?" He didn't have his kage robe on yet as he hadn't stopped at his office. He wondered where the boy had come from.

Yamatano sighed. "Look, Kai, I dont know what the power really is, but if it is the gobi's power, you shouldnt shun it, you should use it. You can think of it as getting back at the Gobi, I mean, You are controlling his power, and he cant do a thing about it. Besides, what happens the day when were on a mission and me and Kanzo are being held hostage. That power may be our only hope. If you refuse to use it, you would not only be putting us in danger, but yourself, and we may even fail the mission." He said, his eyes never faltering. "I know you hate the Gobi for what its done, but if you refuse to use it, you will never be at your greatest potential. And then..........you will never make the dreams of your predecessors come true." he finished. Yamatano knew that he may have overstepped his bounds a bit, but this might make it a bit easier when he finally did find outthe truth. If he was told all his life the gobi was slain, and then found out it was sealed inside of him, he might commit suicide in insane rage to kill the gobi. Yamatano never wanted to see that, so he had to say what he said, no matter how painful it was to hear.

Kai looked at Yamatano, not sure what to say. Turning away, Kai said, "Maybe you're right, maybe as long as I use it's power to fulfill the dreams of my parents, if I bend the Gobi's power to my will, then it's ok. But I don't want to think about it, we don't even know if it's the Gobi that's doing this, maybe it, maybe it isn't. I'll just cross that bridge when I come to it."

"Woah," Luo said, waving his hands in front of the kid. "I mean you no harm kid, I'm just here to check on my academy students. I am Luo Ushio, Mizukage. Excuse me for not having the proper attire yet, I have yet to stop by my office this morning." Luo wore a warm smile, extending his arm to be shaken. He could tell the boy's psyche has been put on edge by something. What however, he didn't know.
