 Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Academy Student Catching himself breathing heavily after completing the jutsu, Shinji took a quick breathe through his nose as he straightened up once more and controlled his breathing as he looked at his teacher. "Two down, one to go." With a quick grin, Shinji moved back about 20 ft from the earth wall he had created earlier, ready to attempt the final jutsu his sensei had performed for him. Closing his eyes as he so often did when learning, Shinji began to perform the necessary hand seals, but suddenly furrowed his brow as the motions stopped. Opening his eyes only slightly to see if his sensei noticed, Shinji began to fumble through the hand seals again, struggling to find the proper sequence as he was having trouble recalling them as he was shown earlier. After a few repetitions he finally remembered the proper sequence and was ready to continue on as he gathered his chakra to him for this one last jutsu.

Feeling the chakra mold within him once more, Shinji opened his eyes feeling confident about this next attempt after so much previous success. "Doton: Shuriken no Jutsu", quickly following his words, Shinji bent down, scooping up a fistful of dirt as he bent his knees, feeling the chakra flow into his arm as he tossed the dirt into the air, feeling the chakra leave his arm and enter the dirt, only to see weak forms of shuriken appear, which struck the earth wall in front of him, dispersing into dust and falling to the ground without leaving a single mark. Realizing that he had not committed enough to the technique, Shinji resolved to push more chakra into the shuriken on the next try to create a more solid form.

Straightening himself upright, Shinji closed his eyes, ignoring the pain which was welling up inside him from the continued and exhausting use of his chakra as he gathered even more chakra then before to this technique. Performing the hand seals, Shinji opened his eyes, feeling his chakra flow through him as he declared the jutsu once more with a new found confidence in the technique. "Doton: Shuriken no Jutsu"... feeling the chakra once more flow into his arm, Shinji scooped up a large mound of dirt from in front of him as he brought his arm back, pushing the molded chakra into the pile within his hand as he felt the mass harden and suddenly grow within his grasp. Grinning with shear pride, Shinji suddenly sent flung his arm forward as he released the jutsu, a single large stone fuuma shuriken flying through the air instead of the normal multiple, smaller shruriken. Slicing through the air, the large stone shuriken flew directly into Shinji's earth wall, crashing into it violently as it crumbled the wall at the midsection, causing the top half of the earth wall split apart and fall to the ground with a loud crash.

Infinitely pleased with himself and the success of the day's training, Shinji allowed himself to fall to his knees after the technique, the pain of the day's exercise flowing through his body, deep into his bones. through the ordeal however, Shinji could only smile at the destruction his last technique had achieved and marveled at all he had learned in a single day under Kano-sensei's tutelage. "That's about... it for me sensei." Shinji said between labored breaths... "I don't think I can do... any more today. Not... without seriously hurting myself. The spirit is of course... able. But I am not so much willing... not with what it could mean to continue."

Io ran into the training ground, she noticed some people were there but she was looking for Jounin that the kage sent her after. She had a note in her hand from the lady-kage saying that she was to be trained as an Academy student. A medical-nin to be exact. "Dang it, I should of asked what the Jounin looked like before i left the office." Io growled at herself.

The clone of Kano looked at Akio with neither approval nor disapproval before saying calmly, "now we will create a different kind of bunshin known as the Koujin Bunshin. Unlike the doton bunshin, this clone cannot attack, it serves as more of a distraction. When it is struck it will burst into a cloud of dust that will get into the mouth and eyes of whoever struck it, a very useful technique for keeping your opponent off-guard." Kano's clone then moved slowly through the hand-seals before saying calmly, "Koujin Bunshin no Jutsu." The earth clone dissipated into a small mound of dirt while a second clone formed from the dust and sand that had been kicked up during the training. Looking at Akio the new clone said calmly, "Now create a dust clone of your own, and then have your earth clone attack it so that you can see the results first hand."
The real Kano watched as Shinji went through the jutsu he had been asked to perform, nodding his head at each success. When Shinji performed the final jutsu, Kano raised an eyebrow in surprise, quite pleased with his student's progress, though it would be unclear if that was what the raised eyebrow truly meant. Noticing that a new student had arrived and that Misa had responded, Kano quickly flashed through several hand-seals before saying calmly, "Doton: Bunshin no Jutsu", forming two more clones that walked over to both of the students respectively. After turning back to Shinji and hearing what he had to say, Kanoshima looked to him with his usual calm appearance and asked, "Tell me, Konoga Shinji, what is it that you fear will happen if we were to continue?"
The first earth clone walked over to MisaX and said calmly, "if you wish to learn taijutsu then I will need to know how you prefer to fight. Depending on your natural tendencies and aptitude, I will decided which style you are most suited to. When you are ready to begin attack me and we will see what you will be learning."
The final clone walked up to Io and said calmly, "If you are here looking for a teacher then please tell me your name and if you know it your chakra element."

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Academy Student Having been kneeling on the ground in a bit of exhaustion for sometime now, Shinji had finally been able to come to grips with the pain, his body well trained through years of constant, unforgiving agony. Rising to his feet, with a bit of effort, Shinji watched as his teacher sent clones out to all of the other students arriving, taking note of each of them before turning to hear his sensei's question. A slight grin came over Shinji's face at the inevitable question, but it was soon wiped away as he remembered the one and only time he had allowed himself to go beyond the limits of what his body told him was feasible.
"No doubt you know who the Konaga are, but excepting a Konaga themselves can have any idea what it is like. People think they know what pain is, but they know nothing of what it's like to have a flood of chakra flowing through your veins, consuming your every cell with an unending supply of pure chakra. Now imagine, if you can, chakra, pure chakra... I would say primal even, bursting forcibly out of every cell and pour of your body at once, uncontrollably. We call it the Raging Spirit... and it is painful beyond anything you might be able to imagine, as if your blood, skin, organs... every part of you was on fire, electrified, and being stabbed by a thousand swords simultaneously over a period of about 5 minutes." Taking a second, Shinji felt another wave of pain flowing into his head as he winced in a bit of pain even just remembering the last time it occurred.
"You see, a Konaga's chakra is truly unlimited. Even if we drain ourselves completely, our cells instantly regenerate the raw force in explosions of chakra synthesis; We are truly never ending wells of energy as our clan name implies. When we reach our chakra's furthest limits, we begin to feel even more pain then usual, though it's hard to describe Konaga 'levels' of pain to anyone outside the clan. I assure you however, if you consider agony a singular feeling, we understand it to have several levels of intensity beyond what you could know. The pain is a warning however that the cells are on the verge of synthesis, and it tells us that we have reached our limits. We can choose to act beyond our limits, but at that point, we risk the consequences. That is what I fear awakening if I continue further. I don't know how long I would spend in a hospital now, but 3 years ago, it took a week to recover, and it was a suffering experience. Others around me would be at danger as well, as the chakra synthesis also harms and strikes out at anything around me with incredibly violent force. I placed 4 other boys in the hospital with chakra burns and broken bones the last time I succumbed to the condition."

Kanoshima simply nodded his head before saying calmly, "I won't say that I understand, as I don't imagine it is something that I could understand without seeing it for myself, but I will not ask you to continue." Reaching into the opening in his shirt, Kano pulled out a head-band, the symbol of Iwagakure emblazoned on the metal plate at its center, and then tossed it to Shinji. "Congratulations, you are now a shinobi of Iwagakure. Now go home and rest, tomorrow your training begins in earnest."

Io bowed quickly, "Hai! Sensei! My name is Io Yamanaka, my friends call me either 'Io' or 'O' and my chakra element is earth! But wish to be a medical nin when i get my second element! I still believe that i can learn the taijutsu or the universal jutsu too!" She squeaked, excited to get her training started, though she was a girl she was a tough one!

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin Shinji was glad to see that Kano-sensei was understanding of his inability to go any further. It's not that he hadn't expected him to understand, since most Genin, let alone Academy Students wouldn't have been able do as much training as he had done in one afternoon. Shinji was more thankful that his sensei was willing to push him beyond his limits. when his teacher removed the headband from his outfit however, all of the previous memories of his pains disappeared as he watched the gloriously emblazoned headband fly through the air towards him. Shinji caught the headband with one hand, immediately polishing the metal with the band as he stared into it with pride, finally able to see his reflection as a Genin.
With a wide smile, Shinji wrapped the headband around his neck, tying the ends securely behind his neck so that the headband would just about at where his collarbone was, proudly displaying the Iwagakure symbol outward. "Thanks Kano-sensei! It has truly been an honor! I'll look forward to our next training session tomorrow and I promise I'll do even better then I did today!" With that, his spirit seemingly healed by the long awaited promotion, Shinji dashed off across the training grounds towards the Shinobi houses to reclaim his old house and rest up for the next day's activities.

Time Skip: This post occurs the following morning, so I'm assuming that the training fields are empty, and that I'm waiting for kano-sensei to show up. Others may disregard and continue posting 'yesterday' normally.

Arriving at the training grounds in no time at all, shinji looked around to see a rather empty area. There were some ninja speckled here and there, but for the most part the area was wide open. "Hmmm, well it is still pretty early in the morning. I guess I'll just warm up before Kano-sensei get's here." With a large clank, Shinji removed Forza from the metal clamp strapped to his back as he spun the sword around in his arm and drove the blade down about a foot into the earth. Leaving it there to stand on it's own, Shinji dropped to the ground and began to do pushups, performing them at a rapid pace, doing about 30 of them before he switched to one-handed pushups.
After about 20 of them with each arm, Shinji put both of his hands to the ground as he brought his legs up into the air, using the core muscles of his abdomen to lift and balance his legs above him. Pushing chakra to his fingertips, Shinji them lifted himself up on his fingertips alone, using his great chakra control to keep him balanced in the strange position as he began to do air pushups, bringing his legs down and back over and over again before finally finishing by putting his legs straight up in the air, and shifting his entire wieght to one fingertip in order to balance himself. This amount of control over chakra may have seemed extreme for a Genin, but to Shinji, or any Konaga, chakra control and manipulation in terms of augmenting the body was second nature. He alone had actually taught himself to walk on water and climb trees/mountains using chakra only since he was about 5 years old.
Finally finished with his routine, Shinji placed both hand on the ground as he pushed chakra into his arms and push down then up again as he flung his body into the air, performing a twist before landing solidly on his feet, ready to continue. Looking around, he didn't see Kano-sensei yet, so he began to go through a few sword movements, removing his blade from the ground as he practiced his forms, waiting for his sensei to arrive.

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin After quite some time, Shinji was beginning to believe that his sensei wasn't coming. He had already finished all of his warm-ups and done everything he could to loosen up while waiting for Kano-sensei. Now, all that was left was for his sensei to show up... but seeing as he had already been there for an hour, Shinji began to think it might be better to start on his own for the time being. "Perhaps he meant at a later time. After all, he only said 'tomorrow' not tomorrow morning. Maybe I can just get a few scrolls from the Kage for now." resolute in his next course of action, Shinji placed Forza back into it's clamp holster with a loud clank and turned on his heels, running out of the training fields towards the Tsuchikage's office. "I hope she's around... I need to make sure I'm ready for the chuunin Exams when they come."

Mizax arched his brow in slight confusion towards a clone, being only the prelude as a small chuckle escaped his lips. "You expect me to know my natural tendencies? I'm an academy student for Kami's sake! I have no fighting experience at all! So, why don't you teach me something that might actually be deemed useful." He finished with a small snicker, moving his hand in front of his mouth in an effort to muffle the sounds of fading laughter. “Never hit a man unless he is down; in combat, it is a sign of utter idiocy to leave anything to chance”
