Tosatsu came running into the training grounds and immediately ran over to the corpse lying there. It wouldn't do at all to leave it here and let someone find it after all. Heaving her up onto his shoulder he grimaced at the feeling of blood running down his back. He would definitely need a bath by the end of this day. Once he had the body positioned well enough to where he was sure it wouldn't slip, he took off towards the tower, hoping that his teacher would be there. Hopefully she would know what to do with it. The blood on the ground might be passable as a training accident, though the quantity would most likely be unbelievable as such.

Konaga Shinji

Taking his first steps back onto the training grounds, Shinji took some time to look around at his surroundings and take it all in. watching as his sensei continued ahead of him without stopping, Shinji breathed in deep as the thick air filled with smells of gravel, sweat, and blood filled his nostrils, exciting him to no end. "There's really just no place like home." Excited to feel the rock hard training grounds beneath his feet once more, Shinji felt in tune with the area, knowing that this would be the optimal place to train, the scenery awakening old memories of training on the grounds and how much progress he had made here compared to other places.

...and this time, there was Kano-sensei as well. Finally, snapping back to reality, Shinji ran a bit to catch up with his teacher, who by now had moved to a pile of rocks which were placed about 20 ft away from targets down the field, where he stood, seemingly waiting for him. Finally catching up to the man, Shinji stood in silence, the large sword strapped to his back clearly making him stand out as Kano-sensei began the newest lesson. Listening carefully, Shinji watched the hand seals that were made, memorizing them as they were shown, before watching a rock seemingly levitate towards his teacher's hand before it was forced away at incredible speeds, sinking solidly into the center of the target down the range. "Nice Shot Sensei!"

The man seemingly making no response to Shinji's excitement, stepped back and instructed him to do the same, to which Shinji excitedly complied. Closing his eyes, Shinji visualized the movements, practicing the hand seals a few times through until he felt he was ready. Gathering his chakra to him, Shinji suddenly felt the wind flow over him as it automatically felt so much different then in the dojo. As if by pure instinct, Shinji opened his eyes, quickly flashing the hand seals as a grin grew across his face, knowing that this would already be a success..."Doton: Iwa Tounyuu no Jutsu"

Shooting his hand over the rocks, Shinji felt a pull from his hand as it hovered over the pile, one of the rocks instantly levitating out of the pile to float just an inch away from his outstretched palm. Thrusting his palm forward, the rock followed... this one being sizeably larger then the one Kano-sensei had picked up, as Shinji placed his other hand on his arm, stabilizing it as his chakra projected the rock forward at incredible speed, sending it flying straight through the right side of the target. Splinters of wood and hay flew off to the side as only half a target was left in front of them, the rock striking the ground on the other side as it bounced and rolled away harmlessly for another 50 ft or so before coming to a halt. "Damn..." Shinji said as he dropped his arm, hanging it down loosely to his side, looking surprisingly disappointed even in the midst of such phenomenal success... "Missed your rock."

Shinji was hoping for a bit more of a reaction from his sensei then he had gotten, but for the time being, he would have to be satisfied with only the eyebrow raise. "Well, obviously they won't stand still... who even said that was the point of the exercise?" Batting the strange comment away from his mind, Shinji did as he had done before, watching Kano-sensei perform the appropriate seals for the next jutsu as he watched his teacher quickly 'fall' into the earth and submerge himself.

"Oh man, I can see where this is going. Cue the unnecessary arrival behind the student while holding a kunai to their back." After a few seconds of seeing nothing, Shinji soon allowed a grin to crawl over his face as his prediction came true. Still, despite his sensei's cliche use, the jutsu had far too many applications to be ignored, and so Shinji immediately turned with a smile, closing his eyes to visualize everything he would have to do.

Running through the hand seals both in his mind, then with his hands, Shinji felt ready, his confidence boosted by the surroundings as he felt comfortable and at home in the training grounds. Gathering the necessary chakra within him, Shinji moved through the necessary hand signs, feeling the chakra begin to mold itself according to the seals utilized as he felt it flow through his body. "Doton: Tsuchi Gunjikoudou no Jutsu" At once, Shinji felt his body grow almost light and insubstantial as he felt the very earth reaching out to him as if he was becoming one with it. As if by instinct, Shinji began to sink, his legs melding into the earth as he continued to submerge himself more and more until finally he was completely below the surface.

Looking around, the scene was quite remarkable, as he was able to see through the earth, almost as if he was submerged in water, though the images he could see were much sharper above him. With a bit of experimentation, Shinji moved through the earth, almost swimming through it before he felt himself slowly moving out of tune with the ground. taking this as his cue to leave, Shinji placed his hands in a seal and rose to the surface not more then a few feet away from where he had gone underground. "Huh... very interesting. I can see where that would indeed be rather useful. So sensei, what's up next? I feel like I can keep this up all day!"

Though the statement was not entirely true, Shinji knew full well that he could train much longer then the average student, about twice as long in fact. Though, towards the end of training, as it was beginning to do now, his body would progressively begin to feel more and more pain as he continued through the day with his training. And though the Konaga's chakra was not physically limited... their ability to use chakra within suffering dire consequences was not without limit. Already the pain had begun to flare up, but as agonizing as it was, Shinji's body had long since been beaten into submission by his own chakra. Even to be alive as a Konaga meant that somewhere within them there was the perseverance to continue on, even through the pain, no matter how excruciating it could be.

"Talk is cheap, Let's Do This!"

Akio wandered the village in a slight daze, he'd just been accepted as an academy student and was filled with joy and pride. Even though he didn't really know anything yet, Akio felt on top of the world. He quickly realized that he'd entered the training grounds when he saw other newcomers to business and someone who looked like he'd had plenty of experience.
"Hey, any of you up to helping a newbie get stronger?" Akio said, hoping the experienced one would answer, but wouldn't mind if anyone else was willing to help.

"The name's Akio Boutou, my father told me my element is doton because of this." Akio said raising his hand, the strange mouth grinning.

Kutsue nodded his head at Akio's response before saying, "very well we will begin with a simple technique known as the Doton: Bunshin no Jutsu." Moving slowly through the hand-seals, Kutsue let his chakra spread throughout his body, making almost a film of sorts with his chakra. "Doton: Bunshin no Jutsu", Kano said calmly, a mound of earth rising next to him which quickly took the shape of a humanoid and then became a perfect replica of Kano himself. "Proceed", the clone said as the real Kano turned back to Shinji.

Kano looked to Shinji as he thanked him, the tiniest hint of a smile forming upon his lips. Nodding his head, Kano said calmly, "it is my pleasure to do so. I hope that one day you will be given the opportunity to help someone in much the same way as I have tried to help you. Now let us proceed, the day is coming to an end and you still have much to learn so I will be showing you three techniques in succession. This will be a test to make sure that you can remember even tiny details such as the movements of an enemies hands, though I will try and move slower so that you are not overwhelmed."

Bringing his hands up to his chest Kanoshima took a deep breath before moving quickly through hand-seals, though not so fast that Shinji wouldn't be able to see them. "Doton: Doroku Gaeshi", Kano said before slamming his hand into the ground, and digging his fingers into the dirt. With a heaving motion, Kano lifted an enormous slab of earth out of the ground, standing a good twenty feet tall.

Moving around to the other side so that Shinji would be able to see the next technique, Kano made several hand-seals before saying, "Ohitsuji Kashira no Jutsu". This time a half-dome of earth rose up around Kano, roughly twenty feet high and twenty feet thick. Deciding it would be easier to simply walk through the barrier using the earth military movement jutsu, Kano walked forward and stepped out of the half dome towards Shinji. Making several more hand-seals, Kano said calmly "Doton: Shuriken no Jutsu." Reaching down to the ground, Kanoshima grabbed up a handful of dirt and then flung it towards the wall he had originally created, as the dirt sailed through the air towards the earth wall, it quickly took the form of several six pronged shuriken that sunk deep into the wall. Looking to Shinji, Kano waved his hand in front of him as if to say "proceed".

Description: This jutsu creates one single clone out of the ground. Its defense is incredible, and it's very powerful, but lacks speed. Two hits will destroy the bunshin. [academy]

Doton: Doroku Gaeshi (Earth Release: Rock Shield)
Description: In the jutsu, the user lifts up a giant piece of earth and uses it as a shield. For every rank, the shield grows 5 feet by 5 feet, and thickens by 3 inches. [academy]

Ohitsuji Kashira (Ram head)
Description: A basic earth protection jutsu where a small, curved wall about the size of the creator is created. It can deflect shuriken and fire jutsu but is weakened by raiton jutsu. For every rank, the wall grows 5 feet by 5 feet. [genin]

Doton: Shuriken no Jutsu (Earth Release: Stone Shuriken Skill)
Description: Widely used in situations where the user runs out of projectiles. By picking up dirt from the ground and infusing it with chakra, it molds together and takes the form of a shuriken. [genin])
