(I'm just going to take the creative freedom and say there is an outside courtyard like area somewhere in the academy.)

Varro took in a deep breathe, his chest expanding as it was pushed into his lungs, for a moment he held this. Staying still, and quiet, the wind rustling the fallen plant life along the ground in the outdoor area. When he felt relaxed the breath was let out and his eyes opened.

He held in his hands a katana that was available for training, it was important in the academy that he learned this weapon, and while he practiced with it, it never felt quite as natural or as familiar as the bow staff. In front him, maybe a couple of feet was a hardened wood training post, with a single branching post along the top section, making a lower case t shape.

With a nod of his head he attacked with the sword, his stance firm and pressing, the slashes quick yet strong. With each blow he would flex his pinky finger on his left hand that held at the base of the hilt, allowing a whip action to carry a heavier momentum into each blow. When he would pull back he would loosen that finger just slightly so that it could give adequate flexing room for the next quick strike.

The pictures in the scroll that he looked over many times flashed in his mind, taking him through the kata's in succession. When the last blow of the third kata had finished he was at the back of the training post and his katana had returned to it's sheath with a slow wiping motion across the bridge which would possibly someday be used for clearing the blood of the sharpened area before returning to its holster. He had worked himself to a bit of sweat, but didn't feel finished. Reaching up over his left shoulder he removed the bow staff from it's holder on his back.

With a quick small gesture of his hand it twirled floodly through the air, making multiple full circle passes before beeing passed to his other hand. While not exactly for attack purposes, this was more showy, but it all felt so much more natural. The staff would be passed from behind his back, from the front, over one shoulder and then the next. All the while keeping up it's spin. He would continue this for a bit, testing to see how long he could keep this up without dropping it.

((Are you serious? Cause I have no idea what everyone in this area would be doing. Hmmm... okay, so Varro is training while ignoring the others? that doesn't make sense, meh, I'll run with it.))

Kai's eyes widened in surprise as his own shuriken sailed back at him. Kai could tell that most of them would miss, almost as if Luo had done it on purpose. Kai had little choice as he realized that Luo was trying to trap him. It was either take a small hit and attempt an attack, or try and avoid a hit and fall into a trap. Moving forward, Kai was struck by several shuriken, one slamming into his left shoulder, while the other struck him in the leg.

Pushing through the pain, Kai brought his sword around in a sweeping arc as he jumped and twisted his body so that his body was now perpendicular with the ground, jumping over Luo just as he hit the ground and began his sweep. At the same time the motion brought his sword around to strike at Luo from behind, Luo would either be forced to redirect his blade to block the attack, or he would be struck in the back by a fairly powerful swing. Kai's leg would undoubtedly be struck by Luo's blade if Luo continued with the attack, but Luo would suffer a fairly severe wound in kind.

(well, since there aren't really any higher ranking hyuugas you can simply learn from an NPC, but keep in mind that you can't learn past your current rank in a taijutsu style. You can find the Juken taijutsu style in the jutsu sub-forum under hyuuga clan jutsus

Varro continued in his flowing control of the bow staff, again closing his eyes and blocking out the distractions around him. There were others watching and training, but most eyes were focused on the Kage sparing with another. He had never been able to talk nor meet Lou, but that was not to concern himself with now. There was a schedule and a regiment to consider, this was his time to work on his body and control of his weapons.

With his eyes closed, he focused on the time, ignoring the pains in his arms that started to creep in. The showy twirling started to change to more of a fighting kata as long swings and swipes were entered into the passing of hands. With the power swings that took place when both hands would connect with the staff, one on the end and the other just above the center, the hand on the center would slide down until it connected with the other, creating a powerful momentum based strike that he would then carry his body with. Moving with the swipe he could control his place on the field and pressure himself around the field in quicker bursts.

After a bit of time he stopped, opened his eyes and placed the staff back in its holster. He breathed low and heavy, taking control of his body and heart that threatened constantly to burst from his chest in rage at the exsersion he had just put himself through. When his body settled he turned towards the battle that was still raging on, taking a seat on the ground to at least catch a bit of it.

He was a studier and getting at least a bit of time to watch his kage fight may prove a worthwhile lesson.

Just finished reading over the style. Basically this character can't do jack unless I move to Leaf and learn how to use the Eyes, then become at LEAST High Chuunin before even the basics are available. Again, thanks a lot.)) burning_eyes

((Hizuma, move your conversation to Kiri OOC, that's why I created it. If you had taken the time to read Lance's last OOC message, you would see that you can begin learning the style from an NPC within this village. You don't have to travel anywhere in reality because it is a bloodline. And you're not useless, you're an academy student. No one started off with the ability to activate their bloodline, EVERYBODY in the guild who wasn't auto-ranked activated their bloodlines the way we asked them to without complaint. Everyone has to start somewhere, it's just a rule. Besides, you're character "can't do jack" at the academy level anyway since he has to be a genin to be put in a squad. You shouldn't be worried about character strength until you pass your genin exam. You have another Hyuuga here with you in the village, so perhaps you can both learn from a family NPC.))

Yamatano finished watching the intense fight between Luo and Kaizen, incredibly impressed. It made him realize just how far behind he was in his own taijutsu training. He would have to ask Fordon to teach him more of the way of the silent bleade when he saw him again. "Lord Mizukage, that was awesome! Oh, and Kaizen, you should probably get bandaged up, and then I can show you my super awesome ultimate technique thats totally gonna beat yours!" Yamatano said with a grin evindent even through his kakashi-like mask.
