Io took the scroll of basic earth jutsu and headed to the cliffs, it was to noisy in the train grounds for her to concentrate. So she packed her things and left.

Iwagakure | Uchiha Clan | Academy Student The male's figure eased back onto the training grounds of which he had accomplished nothing earlier, his eyes scanning the somewhat familiar surroundings. There were several spots in the earth where it had either sunken, or looked as if it had been messed with, clearly marking the practice of elementary doton. Anything else was scattered by the wind that blew through the area, lifting leaves off of their decomposing graves, and scattering them about elsewhere. “Never hit a man unless he is down; in combat, it is a sign of utter idiocy to leave anything to chance”

Kiyoko's clone arrived at the training grounds quickly and saw Mizax standing there looking around the area. "Alright Mizax, we can start now." she said as she opened the scroll and started reading. As soon as Mizax would pay attention to her she would begin to teach him some jutsus so he could be tested for genin rank.

 Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin[Conditions: Home training Grounds (-2), Offensive ninja (+1), Learning from Scroll (+1)] Placing the newly learned Academy level scroll back in the case he got from the library, Shinji removed the next scroll, the Pebble barrage scroll as he unrolled it and began to study. Already, he could tell this would take longer, it had more hand seals and the jutsu itself was more complex, somewhat like the Iwa Tounyuu no Jutsu, but with many smaller rocks. Having sufficiently read over the scroll, memorizing the hand seals and the theory and application behind the jutsu, Shinji figured he was about ready to give it a shot. Others may have spent much more time reading the scroll, but Shinji was not one to sit around and study all day... he learned by doing.
[Training - Tamaishi Danmaku (1/5) ]
Standing up confidently, Shinji closed his eyes, focusing on the concepts behind the jutsu and the hand seals with perfect clarity. Apparently, he had studied the scroll much more intensely then he had thought as he was recalling it all with perfect accuracy. Moving through the hand seals in his mind, Shinji quickly accelerated his pace as he focused his chakra, gathering it to him to be molded by the technique. "Doton: Tamaishi Danmaku", immediately as he said the words, Shinji could feel the chakra flow to his hands as he hovered them over the ground, several small rocks about the size of grapes lifting up off the surface of the bedrock he was on before he pushed his hands forward, expelling the rocks only a few feet as they fell harmlessly to the ground without striking the target of the boulder in front of him at all.

Perhaps it had been his earlier optimism or the deceptive thought that he would get it on the first try this time through... but whatever the case, Shinji was pretty upset with himself. with an angered scowl, Shinji refused to give up, using his anger to fuel him as he moved through the hand seals once more, only this time, pushing far more chakra into the technique then before. "Doton: Tamaishi Danmaku", the jutsu now molded as he felt the wealth of chakra run through his arms and into his hands, Shinji hovered them over the rock face again.
[Training - Tamaishi Danmaku (4/5) ]
This time however, as his hands hovered over the rock, his chakra reached into the ground with the as fragments of rock were ripped out of the rock face, both those the size of grapes, and others the size of clementines. Pushing his arms forward, Shinji expelled the chakra with great force, firing the fragments off of his hands like rockets as they flew through the air, striking the boulder with a rain of stone fragments. The larger fragments, to Shinji's surprise, had actually created some sizeable knicks/dents in the boulder. The thought then occurred to him that the way he used the technique would most likely be much more dangerous then a 'mere distraction' as the jutsu was described in the scroll. "Damn right..."

It faded away as the air about her made him realize is was just a clone. "Oi, a clone?" He asked. "I guess I'm not as important as some others." He mumbled to himself. "Looks like you have a good perception." she said and then read the jutsu she was going to teach him first. "It will be Tanebi no Jutsu":
Katon: Tanebi no Jutsu (Fire Release: Cinder Technique)
Description: Basic to all Katon users is the ability to set thing things on fire, obviously. This technique allows a person to snap their fingers and ignite a spark anywhere they so wish. A simple cinder and no more, this jutsu is used mostly in pranks and the like.

(I don't think you could notice it is a clone at your rank if you aren't using sharingan or another ability)

Cadence arrived at the Training Grounds. He studied the other Shinobi in the area and found the woman that was known as the Tsuchikage. He approached her and bowed respectfully. He then spoke in a strong, but light voice, "Hello Lady Tsuchikage. I am Cadence Creed, a member of this village's Academy. I'd like to begin my training so that I can pass the Genin Exams."

Kiyoko's clone turned around so she could talk properly to Cadence. "Eh...training? Alright but I'm here to help just untill you meet the requirements for genin exam." she said and looked at the scroll. "Wait, what is your chakra element?" she remembered of that detail. If he doesn't have Katon, Fuuton or Doton element she will have to go back to the library and pick another scroll to help him.

Sighing heavily, Shinji rolled up the Genin scroll and placed it back where he had gotten up, removing the next one in sequence. As he did so, Shinji suddenly felt a tremor move through his body as a wave of pain flowed over him, temporarily freezing him in place as he bared with the strange flare up of his chakra. After years of facing the agonizing pain, Shinji no longer tried to run from it... there was no escape. Instead, the way he had learned to survive the fits was to close his eyes and confront the pain, visually charging it head on in his mind as he defied the pain which was the very thing which gave him his power. After a few moments of battling his own body back, he finally felt the pain melt away back into the baseline levels he was so used to, and that his body had hardened him against.
[Training - Kajuu No Doro (1/5) ]
Ready to get back to training, Shinji unrolled the next scroll, which contained the workings of the Kajuu no Doro technique... a technique that he had figured would be incredibly useful. reading over the scroll, he memorized the hand seals and the concept behind the technique, which was relatively simple. After forming the seals and placing his hands to the ground, if the jutsu worked, it would produce mud balls which would shoot from the ground and weigh the opponent down. the chakra placed inside the technique was the key, the hand seals used to not only form the mud, but condense the chakra to add immense amounts of weight to it... so much so, that it would be hard to imagine anyone getting away once they were hit with this technique, even if only once.
[Training - Kajuu No Doro (2/5) ]
Having studied the scroll thoroughly, Shinji was finally ready to give the technique a shot as he crouched down to the ground, balancing on the front of his feet. Scraping away some of the rocky debris in the area in front of him, Shinji closed his eyes and began moving through the hand seals until he felt he could perform them in rapid succession. Breathing out and then in again, deeply, Shinji gathered his chakra to him as he began to form the seals, feeling the chakra already begin to mold in his body. As soon as the seals were completed, Shinji immediately thrust his hands to the ground, capping the technique by announcing it... "Doton: Kajuu No Doro" Feeling the chakra leave his body and flow into the ground, he watched as the surface of the earth a few feet away began to bubble slightly, but then return to normal, producing no effect.

Tilting his head slightly, Shinji tried to analyze what went wrong. "Well, I felt the chakra condense... that part was easy, but the follow through afterward didn't seem to be strong enough. Perhaps the density of the chakra was too great for the force applied to propel it out of the ground. Pulling back the condensed chakra weight would be boring though, so I guess I'll just have to pump out more chakra to expel it." with his new plan in mind, Shinji followed the same technique as before, gathering his chakra and forming the hand seals as he slammed his hands into the ground once more... "Doton: Kajuu No Doro". The surface of the earth bubbled over once more, this time suddenly opening up as four large mudballs shot out of the ground, but quickly fell harmlessly to the ground, having succumb to their own weight.
[Training - Kajuu No Doro (4/5) ]
"Damn... still not enough. Fine then, we'll just have to push even more chakra into it." Unwilling to be beaten so easily, Shinji forged ahead, knowing that he would be able to do this. It was clear to him that he was condensing the chakra far beyond that of how the scroll instructed a Genin to do it, but he was only using the Genin's amount of chakra to push it out. With his special ability, Shinji should be able to push extra chakra through the technique to supply what would be needed for the Chuunin version of the technique. closing his eyes, Shinji gathered the necessary chakra to him, allowing it to flow through his body as he formed the hand seals, molding the chakra appropriately before slamming his arms to the ground, opening his eyes suddenly and fiercely... "Doton: Kajuu No Doro!". The earth immediately bubbled up again and then, out of the softened earth, 4 large globs of mud shot forth out of the ground, the speed greatly increased this time as the mud weights were hurled through the air, all four of them striking the boulder in front of him as they latched on and stuck in place.

Looking up, Shinji wasn't really quite sure if the technique had worked until suddenly one of the globs fell to the ground, tearing down a large section of the boulder with it, which had apparently succumb to the 1/2 ton weight applied to it. Smiling victoriously, Shinji allowed himself a small break as he sat down on the rock bed, looking out over the training grounds at all of the other ninja training there, noting that the ones he had passed earlier were no longer present. Sitting there by himself, he felt somewhat lonely, but was comforted by a sudden breeze which passed through the area, cooling him off as he continued relax and take a small rest from all of his training.

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin After a while of watching the other ninja, Shinji laid back agaisnt the rock, looking up at the sky, not yet ready to continue his training just yet. watching the clouds float by, he felt another cooling breeze as the pleasantness of the field helped to ease the agony which flowed through his veins, even if it was just a little bit. As he did this, looking over to see the boulder he had attacked, he suddenly spotted someone in the tree branch directly behind the boulder. Shinji was rather surprised, even a little shocked to see her there, hiding in the shadows of the tree almost naturally.
"Has she been there the entire time?... just watching me?" though pondering the question in his head, he wondered just how he wasn't able to spot her, but then, thinking that perhaps to not be spotted, she would have to be higher ranked then he was to have been completely invisible to him until now. Filled with a bit of excitement, Shinji hoped that perhaps she would even be able to help him, as he doubted he'd be able to work with and properly learn a Chuunin ranked technique on his own. Still lying on his back, Shinji focused on her position and began to speak to her in a slightly raised voice... "Hey, you up there... how long have you been sitting there watching me?... enjoying the show are we?" the comment was followed with a quick smirk from Shinji's lips as he loved to throw a somewhat bold/sarcastic statement at the end of his words, always wondering how people would respond.

 Kai Nara|Nara Clan|Chunnin|Iwagakure! Kai turned her head down at a boy calling up to her. "Actually I'm trying to sleep. And maybe enjoy the amusement of the kage being busy with other genin while I just rest my chunnin a** up here." She said, sitting up so she could see him better.
