 Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin"A Chuunin! I knew it... now just to get her to agree to train me." Feeling a spring of excitement rise up in him, Shinji got up quickly, moving his hands behind him to rest on the rock face as he pushed his body up into a hand stand, bending his elbows and pushing off the ground again as he flipped back to his feet in a standing position. "Excellent, then you're exactly what I've been looking for. My name is Shinji. I'm a Genin here, although I only just got back to the village yesterday after a long journey. Once I got back, I heard that the Chuunin exams were coming up, so I've been hoping to get trained and ready. I haven't been able to run any missions yet, but I've been working on my jutsu. Sadly however, I don't think I could handle learning these Chuunin techniques just by reading the scrolls. What do you say?... think you'd be willing to help me out?"
Shinji hoped she would agree despite her apparent wish to sleep. if she was in fact a Chuunin, she might even be able to lead him on a C-ranked mission, which he would also need to complete before being eligible for the exams. For now though, he hoped to get some higher level techniques under his belt. if the techniques themselves weren't good enough to act as his trump card, certainly his ability to perform them as often as he could as compared to others would certainly be his ace in the hole.

 Kai Nara|Nara Clan|Chunnin|Iwagakure! Kai swiveled her body to the side as she jumped down landing infront of him. "Sure, what element are you learning?" She asked, yawning and shaking her head frm a shiver. Guess being in the shadows was always colder then the sun.

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin"Sweet..." Shinji gave the Chuunin a mischievous but pleased grin as she leaped right in front of him. Now that he could see her in the sunlight, he recognized from earlier as the one with the pink hair. she certainly stood out with that and the interesting markings she had tattooed around her arms and legs. Looking at her closely, Shinji thought it a bit strange to be taught by someone who was so tiny in stature compared to him, as she was a foot shorter then him and about half his size, but life had taught him that appearances are not what they always seem to be.
"For now, the only element I control is Doton. Hopefully, you have an agreeable affinity to mine. I would certainly make things easier. particularly, I'm interested in learning the Doryuu Taiga, Doryuudon no jutsu, and Ishi no Yari techniques. I don't think i could handle anymore beyond those, but to be able to use them, I think would give me a great advantage in the exams."

Kai Nara|Nara Clan|Chunnin|Iwagakure! Kai nodded. Doing a pair of hand seals as the floor under him would become squishy and ewwy like mud and start moving him and/or make him loose his balance. "First one is Doryu Taigi, it's just focusing the earth below you and the opponent or just your opponent into squishy ewwy mud and trap them in the sticky mud if possible. It's a great advantage on earth users and disadvantage to suiton users cause they will just make it even worse and muddier for them. Your opponent can loose their balance and be taken away wherever the mud river goes." She said, helping him out of the sticky mud and not touching it, she hated mud on her so much.
Doton: Doryu Taiga (Earth Release: Mud River)
Description: In this common stone jutsu, the user converts part of the floorground that he and his opponent are standing on into a raging avalanche of mud and earth. The opponent quickly loses hisher standing and starts sliding wherever the mud river will take him/her.

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin[Conditions: Home training Grounds (-2), Offensive ninja (+1), Teacher's Instruction (-1)] Shinji watched carefully and attentively as his new teacher began to move through the had seals of the technique and explain it. As he stood watching her, he suddenly felt himself being pulled away as the river of mud appeared beneath his feet, causing him to lose his balance as he unexpectedly fell into the mud and was dragged a few feet away by the torrent. despite having fallin in and covered in mud, Shinji was excited to see the technique, always happier to experience a jutsu rather then to simply read about it. Holding his arm up as Kai helped him up, he waited fro her to distance himself before giving his body a few hard shakes to get rid of some of the mud. He couldn't wait to attempt to create the same effect.
[Training - Doryu Taiga (1/6) ]
Seeing as the girl, who had still to give him her name was apparently not fond of the mud, Shinji made a few quick hand seals, gathering some chakra as he created his own targets to use. Doton: Bunshin no jutsu" Immediately, the mud and earth around him began to rise up on both sides, as they quickly formed into two clones of himself, moving about 5 and 10 feet away from him, ready to be his targets. Closing his eyes, Shinji visualized the hand seals and the entire jutsu, moving through the hand seals slowly until he was comfortable. Then, gathering his chakra up, Shinji performed the hand seals with just the timing and execution as Kai had, ending in a single seal which he held in front of him... "Doton: Doryu Taiga" However, nothing happened, not even a small rumble as he felt the technique lose it's cohesion amidst the incantation.
[Training - Doryu Taiga (2/6) ]
Not willing to let such an embarrassment stand, Shinji quickly tried again, closing his eyes to concentrate harder this time through, gathering his chakra to him carefully as he formed the hand seals once more, placing great emphasis on controlling the forces as they came together. Opening his eyes once more just as he ended on the last seal, holding it in front of him, Shinji attempted the technique again with determination. "Doton: Doryu Taiga"... the earth quickly began to rumble beneath him as the ground just to the right and left of him began to soften and form into mud, but the flow had almost no power behind it as the mud stopped moving far before it even hit the first clone. "Damn..." Shinji said in an exasperated tone as he began to breath heavily after the two failed attempts, having forgotten to breathe in between them... "These C-rank techniques are way more difficult then the others."

Looking over to Kai, he didn't get any kind of sign that she was going to help him any further with the technique. He had assumed that if she had some sort of helpful piece of advice she would add it, but as it was, she had remained silent, leaving Shinji to his own thoughts. "Well, it's lacking the power still, and the control is pretty bad too considering how it's exhausting me. I might need to focus on channeling the chakra into the ground as I'm molding it so that everything doesn't get jumbled up as it has been. More power too..."
[Training - Doryu Taiga (4/6) ]
Gathering his chakra to him once more, Shinji closed his eyes and focused internally to help guide his chakra control. Externalizing chakra was natural for him, almost child's play, but internally it was another matter with the nature of his chakra and the much higher amount of it he seemed to naturally place into his jutsu. Has he began to form the hand seals, Shinji felt the chakra mold together cleanly as he started channeling the chakra into the earth as he continued to mold and control the remainder of it, continually pushing chakra into the earth in a steady stream. "Doton: Doryu Taiga" snapping his eyes open at the words, Shinji watched as the earth began to rumble all around him, streams of mus appearing both on his right and on his left as they rushed out of the ground and joined together to form a single stream which was able to reach the first earth clone, forcing it to lose it's balance slightly, but not supplying enough force to knock him down as the clone was able to stand it's ground.
[Training - Doryu Taiga (5/6) ]
Grinning to himself, Shinji knew that he was close. Now, it was only a matter of power as a wide grin came over his face, an almost sadistic one as he imagined what he would have to do to completely master this technique. "I keep holding myself back... time to open up the flood gates. If a Genin level technique needed Chuunin force before, let's kick this up a notch." Keeping the grin on his face, Shinji breathed out quickly, focusing his mind on the task at hand as he held his arms out to his sides and began to gather more chakra to him then he had ever placed in a single jutsu before. Feeling the energy gather within him, Shinji suddenly brought his hands together, forming the hand seals quickly as he felt the rush of forces flow together within him, the earth around him instantly beginning to shake violently as he began to channel the chakra into the ground.
Confident that this would be the final step, Shinji controlled all of the forces within him, supplying a strong stream of chakra into the ground as he held his hands together, keeping the last seal before snapping his eyes open to complete the technique, speaking the words much more confidently and louder then the last few times... "Doton: Doryu Taiga!" Instantly as if having been held back by a dam, mud rose up out of the earth on his right and left, practically exploding out of the ground like rushing rivers as they rose up about 4 feet high off the ground, the two river forces crashing into each other to create a raging river of mud which surged forward, instantly knocking down the first clone. The waves of the mud river effortlessly carried the clone with the flow as it crashed into the second clone as well, knocking it over in the same fashion as the river continued to surge and flow for another 40 feet past it, causing both of the clones to crumble within the wake of the river. After a few seconds, the flow of the mud river finally subsided as the technique died down, leaving a 50 ft long trail of mud in front of Shinji which as at least 15 ft wide, far surpassing what his teacher had created.
[Training - Doryu Taiga (6/6) ]
After the technique however, Shinji could be seen breathing very heavily as he felt a wave of pain flow through his chest, radiating outwardly from him as his bloodline's power cursed him for it's use. The surge of pain caused him to fall forward slightly, but he was able to catch himself as he mentally fought back the pain, feeling it subside within him after a few seconds, before he could open his eyes again to look and see Kai's reaction. "I'd say that's a wrap for that one... wouldn't you agree?" he said, still maintaining the smirk on his face despite the pain and the heavy breathing he was still recovering from.

{{If the description looks a little 'embellished' it should. Technically, that would count as a Jounin level technique, so I expanded the effect and with it, the description of the jutsu to match that level of power. Go go Offensive Ninja!}}

Kai Nara|Nara Clan|Chunnin|Iwagakure! She nodded. "Yep now for Maruishi Tounyuu or as it is called Boulder throw." Kai did the hand seals and focused her chakra on the boulder Shinji had sat on before. She let the boulder move slowely then with speed as it flew right towards Shinji, the boulder wouldn't hit him if he made a mistake sos she made it go just off the side to not hurt the boy. "This techinque is mostly to move giant boulder fast to their opponent but be careful cause it is easy to dodge and the bigger the rock the more chakra and slower it is. You can move more then one boulder if you have good chakra control." She said to him and leaned against the tree.

Maruishi Tounyuu (Boulder throw)
Description: This technique focuses chakra on a single large boulder found in the vicinity and sends it flying towards an enemy. The impact is of course greater since it’s a big rock, and yet, being a big rock, it’s easier to dodge. Also, only one rock can be thrown at time. However if the user is good at chakra control, (those with tree and water walking mastered) this can be done in quick rapid succession (a few rocks sent consecutively, about 5). Can also be used on variations such as concrete rubble.

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin[Conditions: Home training Grounds (-2), Offensive ninja (+1), Teacher's Instruction (-1)]Shinji was left nearly in shock as his teacher made no mention of the technique he had just accomplished. Even as a Chuunin, she should have at least raised an eyebrow at the fact that the technique was empowered well beyond the jutsu's normal limitations. Instead of making any mention of it at all beyond 'Yep' , Shinji was left with a confused and disheartened look on his face as she began to teach him the next jutsu.
This in itself would turn out to be a large disappointment as well. Though the technique was definitely impressive and one he would like to learn one day, it was not one of the ones he had planned on learning for the exams. he watched as she threw the boulder somewhat towards him, but off to his right as well as Shinji pulled himself out of the way, stumbling away from the technique just in time as the boulder crashed down onto the training fields. Looking back at Kai, Shinji began to rub the back of his head nervously before speaking up in a somewhat nervous and apologetic tone. "Heh, sorry about this ma'am... that jutsu was great and all, but it wasn't one of the other two I had mentioned earlier. I would prefer to learn the 'Doryuudon no jutsu' and 'Ishi no Yari no jutsu' if you wouldn't mind." Shinji knew that he had mentioned this earlier, but made no mention of it to her so as not to possibly anger her and possibly lose his teacher.

"I have kept my mouth shut for enough time, I hoped you would remember yourself but it seems you don't." she said and looked at Kai. "Untill you finish your job, you aren't supposed to be here. Are you going to keep avoiding it?" she said and walked towards Kai.

Kai looked at Shinji. "Sorry I'm still half asleep here." She looked at the kage and made a groan sound. "I'm helping him out, when I'm done I'll give him a mission ok? And who says I can't be here?" She asked.

"I said." she replied. "If you aren't training your squad members. You should be giving assigning missions instead of training other people, it is part of your punishment." she said and then turned to Shinji. "If you want to learn a chuunin rank jutsu I can help you aswell." she said to him.

Katon: Tanebi no Jutsu (Fire Release: Cinder Technique)
Description: Basic to all Katon users is to set things on fire, obviously. This technique allows a person to snap their fingers and ignite a spark anywhere they so wish. A simple cinder and no more, this jutsu is used mostly in pranks and the like.

Kai shrugged, wanting to punch the kage right then and there but wouldn't. She knew her clan's honor was fragile with so few members left. "Well maybe I can't seem to find my squad because oh I don't know they left and I lost track of them. The boy asked me so I will train him. You might be kage but you have no place in telling me I can not train the genin of Iwa when it is my duty to help the younger generation to prosper and relive the name of the village." She said, gritting her teeth.
