Pepper Ann Mint ➺Personality .....Pepper is the epitome of polite. Always saying please and thank you, even when she doesn't particularly like a person or the gift. She tries to help out when she can, but doesn't go out of her way to do so. Focusing on the bigger picture, she doesn't get caught up on the small details or mishaps. She doesn't like to waste time and tries not to put things off. That being said, she is a sucker for reading romance books and can get distracted from homework or bedtime when she does. Ares ➺Personality .....Much like his Zodiac sign, Ares is very determined and energetic. He sets his sights on a goal and then works tirelessly to accomplish it. Participating in sports is one of his favorite things to do, but he also actively studies and socializes. He has a large group of friends because he loves the attention. He’s gotten into fights with other nightmare just FOR the attention it would get him, so the teachers tend to keep an eye on him. He’s not above manipulating others into starting something either. Sometimes this works out well, with the guilt spread around equally, and other times nightmares are able to trace it back to its source, him. He’s made enemies like that, but friends as well.
The imp thrives in an environment where he’ll receive praise and is able to advance quickly. He’s better at individual projects than group ones but prefers to work in a group or pair. He enjoys showing off.
While various sports and a couple instruments are his hobby, engineering is his main love. He loves getting his claws on various technology and taking it apart to see what makes it tick. His room has bits and pieces of quite a few things laying around, cluttering the place up. Thankfully his roommate doesn’t get onto him too badly about this. He’s a bit of a slob himself but hates it when others are. (His mess is organized¬ and he knows exactly where everything is!)

It gives temporary heightened clarity, creativity, focus, and enthusiasm for the task at hand. It cannot increase natural talent or augment existing knowledge.
Vüsala was the firstborn child in his family. They were an offshoot of one of the great clans, and there was plenty of room on their mountain. For a time things went marvelously well. He had a host of cousins to play with, and soon enough three younger siblings came along.
By the time he was a junior, he knew he wanted to learn how to heal nightmares. His favorite grandmother died of an illness in the middle of winter, when conditions were too harsh to get to a doctor in time. If he had known how, he could have saved her. He grew a little less bright, and took things more seriously, after that. He focused more on doing well in school, learning all that he could.
He was a senior when his mother disappeared. Though they looked for her, and sent out messages to nearby clans, nobody knew where she went. One of his younger brothers insisted she had gone somewhere better, and that he knew where she was but he couldn’t tell them. And he didn’t. He kept the secret. Their relationship was fairly strained after that, but he did get closer to his father.
When he decided to go off to Leviathan University to get a degree in Medicine, not everyone was supportive. Vüsala went anyway. He’d been there for a couple months, made a friend or two, before he met Kanda. A visit to an orphanage with a friend resulted in him helping her out of a situation. When he left, he couldn’t keep his mind off her. Over the next few weeks he visited and they got to know one another, until finally, he asked if she wanted to come home with him.
Ever since, his life has been busier than ever, but he’s enjoying it. Taking care of a child was a big responsibility, but it was a satisfying one.
Vüsala has what is known as a very grumpy resting face. Even when he’s not in a bad mood, he naturally looks angry or irritated. Considering it’s easy to put him in a bad mood, it can be hard to tell the difference between when he actually is feeling upset and when he’s just zoning out. Not that he’s ever disrespectful. He will tell you point blank that he doesn’t like certain things about you, or what you’re doing, but he won’t raise his voice or let it get physical.
He takes most things seriously, even those things made in jest. Situations are dealt with logically, with little to no concern for emotions. Kanda has changed that, somewhat. For things that concern her, he’s willing to look at how it would affect her emotional state. She brightens his day, and he can understand that not everyone, especially a child, can see things the way he does. His success at gauging what will hurt her or not isn’t 100%, but he tries his best.
Vüsala was raised as a typical chimera, expected to be independent. This makes it exceedingly difficult for him to seek help, even if he needs it. He has a chokehold on his behavior, not easily giving in to temptations or impulses. He also doesn’t believe things easily. A lot of evidence is needed to sway his mind on pretty much everything.
Though he is wary of non-chimera, he is opening up about them now that he has Kanda and she’s forcing him to interact with many different nightmares and races.
