Verve made a face at the trick and tossed the box of raisins away. She nearly missed the plushie.
Charmstar decided he was having a sort of theme going on for him. So he might as well continue it and grabbed for a candied apple. And oh a bonus plushie, too!
Mytrax was never going to get any treat from anyone was she? No, no she was not. She got a second rock instead/
I'm not going to record the tricks for Callessa, Histeol, and Eidil--this is their last roll.
Cal finally got Eidil's attention when the other juniors left. Cal sighed as her phone buzzed in her pocket. "That'll be Mom," she said. "I think it's time for Teo and me to go. If you'd like a ride back to campus, I know Mom will take you."
"Wait!" the Chimera shouted. The three students turned towards her. "You've been my first players, and I've had such a blast with you. I've got lots of prizes left over from the event--please, take one last plushie. On the house."
Cal smiled. "Thank you. You've been a real treat! We really do hope to see you again, um--"
The Chimera handed her a card. "Zeria. I do games and entertainment. Please check me out. And...thanks."
Cal tucked it in her pocket. "Thank you, Zeria. We really do appreciate it. Um...may I have the orange plush? With the black wings? Thanks."
"Thank you, Zeria," Teo murmured. "Um, I'll take a bat plushie--whatever color you think I'd like."
"Right you are," Zerya said with a laugh. She handed him a plushie and shook his hand.
Oo, one last plush? But...Well, Eidil had already gotten enough for the night. And examining her bucket, she saw that someone had unloaded a green vespercat plush in there as well. That was good enough for her! "I'm good, thanks, Zeria. I really do hope to see you again!"
They waved good-bye to their new friend and headed off together. "Thanks for offering me the ride," Eidil said.
"Like Mom would let you walk home tonight!" Cal laughed. She took her brother's hand and her crush's hand, squeezed them both, and, in a rare display of levity, she skipped home, their familiars trailing out behind them.
Peri ended up leaving the matching table. It was just as well--that section of the fair was starting to pack up, but he knew from experience that the adults giving out candy would be there for a lot longer. He planned to collect as much as he could. He held his bucket out to one of the adults still lingering. "Trick or treat, smell my feet!"
In spite of the rude invitation, something landed in his bucket. Ohoho! A bracelet! And in his color! So distracted he was as he slipped it on that he didn't notice when he stumbled into a girl.
Talya had just come out of the Haunted House. She wished she had had someone to go with--she hated going into spooky things all alone, but she had figured that the haunted house would have more treats in it. She had been more or less mistaken. She'd left as soon as she got to the kitchen. That place--eurgh. She understood why Haunted Hallows had to be scary, it was haunted, after all--but why did it have to be gory and gross as well?!
But she had been right, in a way--it seemed that the bushes outside of the Haunted House were lousy with animals, because no sooner had she left the house than a white vespercat had started to follow her. Talya liked cats. They were a proper lady's pet, and she was all about being a proper lady. But she was so distracted admiring her new friend that she didn't notice when she walked into a boy. "Hey!" she shouted. "Watch where you're going!"
Quilo finally stopped running when he got out of the house. He sat down on the back step and caught his breath. Okay. That place got a lot scarier after the--the illusion? Yes, that's what it had probably been. That had been a very good set of illusions! Amazing! He hoped he could find out who had set it all up, because it had been very well done!
Quilo pulled off his helmet, then blinked in surprise. Where there had once been just one Nezubat, now two clung. The green and blue one he'd named Startle, and a new one, an orange one with black wings. He smiled. "Hello there," he said. "When did I find you?"
The bat squeaked and stretched its wings. Carefully, Quilo put the helmet back on his head. "I can't wait to introduce you to Tarin and Ella!"
Try as they might they still jumped an in or two when the woman in pale ghostly form appeared through the solid wall. I guess the should have expected a Geist or two.
Glitch: "Excuse me mam, but I seem to have misplaced two kids I was walking the maze with. I assume from the scream that they must have got scared and ran off, but I find myself in a bit of a pickle trying to find.my way back two them. I would appreciate it if you or one of your co-workers could bring.me.towards the exit and upon doing so I could wait for them to exite."
Attendant: "Oh how cute, you are so articulate! What are you suppose to be? A politian? Didn't you say you got misplaced from your group, follow me and I'll bring you somewhere safe and calm for you to wait for them outside the maze."
Glitch: "I am a Detective mam. P.I. Glitch." Somberly they pull out a badge, nothing can hurt a detective's ego more than being coddled. "Now about that exit?"
Kiessi walked up to another booth, their mouth practically drooling when they saw the candied apples. "That one...?" They pointed, one large eye looking up at the person manning the booth.
"Here you go, Kid!"
"Hey, thanks!" Kiessi grinned and took a bite, full well knowing their mother would probably be angry if she knew they had this much candy.
Staring at all the little bats that had made their way into her pail, Kara knew she was going to have to find a place to display them in her dorm, they were too cute not too!
Well, she wasn't quite sure what this thing was supposed to be... but it was cute and fluffy! It'd definitely make a nice pillow.
Decran fidgeted in his costume, gaze roaming over the area as various others pushed past him and giggled. He felt out of place, almost too old to be trick or treating — though he knew that there were older nightmares out and about that night. He’d never been a fan of candy, so any that he acquired would likely be given away to one of his classmates or dumped into a bowl in his dorm — for any guests he might have over to munch on while they’re visiting.
The first place he stopped, however, didn’t have candy. Sitting in the bowl was a bunch of bracelets. And though Decran had never been huge on wearing jewelry, the purple beads of one of the bracelets caught his eye. He grinned as he snatched it up and thanked the person holding the bowl before turning and moving off in the direction of the next person.
Syra smiled as she smoothed over the (non-existent) wrinkles of her dress. She loved dressing up and Halloween was the best excuse to put on her prettiest dress and flaunt about in it. A princess was suiting and, because of her litch blood, she looked the part of a dead princess. Candy was her favorite and this holiday season she was excited to hoard as much of it as she could. She moved to the first person and stopped as he held the bowl out for her and smirked. Syra’s nose wrinkled up at the sight of the gummy poos. Not wanting to be completely rude (she had already made a face at the...treats…) she snatched up the first one she could — a lime green gummy poo — and thanked the person before turning and hurrying off. She hoped the next house would prove to be more fruitful than gummy poos.

A short ways away and Elliah got a nice bag of caramel eyeballs for her trouble. Caramels were one of her favorite treats, so she was especially glad for some of them. She could use the ribbon to help decorating her cute little paper ghost once she had finished the bag off. The bapho started to think about the various ways she could use the ribbon and maybe even a few other small accessories to brighten the ghost up. It was such a cute little thing; she was rather glad that it had been one of the first things he had gotten from this festival.

There were getting to be less and less people out and about as time went on, and Pepper was starting to worry. Hopefully there were still people who would be giving treats out as she and her caretaker made their way back up to the dorms. Sure she'd gotten a bunch of great stuff, but most of it would be stuff she was sharing. When you divided all of it in half, you didn't really have much just for herself. But she enjoyed sharing with others.
"Trick or treat!" she called out to a passing adult. She kept a polite smile on her face as they dropped a bag of candy corn into her pail. Ick, candy corn was just gross. Hopefully Auren or one of her other friends liked that kind of stuff! Maybe she could trade someone for some better stuff later.

As Hikito stomped off in such a huff, a flying something few right into his face and attached itself to him. The poor freshling flailed, yelping, in an attempt to dislodge whatever it was that had viciously attacked him. There was some sort of muffled, pain-filled, squeak when he got it off and he sucked in a deep breath as he wildly looked around for whatever it was.
To his surprise, a small nezubat was curled up on the ground. The black and orange critter must have been what had been attached to his face. Frowning, Hikito edged closer. It . . didn't look like it would try to kill him. In fact. . it looked kind of. . hurt? Had he hurt it or had it been hurt before it flew into him?
"I'm sorry. . . you shouldn't scare people like that," he told the familiar. "Did you want to come home with me? I'll try and make you better, I promise." Carefully reaching for the animal, Hikito was surprised how light it was and how easily it curled into his hand. Gently he set it into his bucket, cradling the pumpkin in his arms now. The rock that the bat was carrying looked pretty nifty, so he let it keep it in the pail too.

Vüsala gathered his things up relatively quickly as he didn't have very many to begin with. That done he turned to help the bapho pick up her things, only to see she had a handle on it. "Yes, I'm fine," he responded as he helped gather up the goodies from the booth. "Did I hurt you?" The question was repeated just to make sure. He hadn't thought he'd caught her with his tail, but it was possible. Thankfully, Saiful's kid had been out of range.
Speaking of the little girl, where had she gone? Vüsala hadn't seen her wander off, but it was possible. Just as he started to look around, she came back and dumped some candy into his bucket as well. Hmm, that was. . .odd.

Eileen felt a bit foolish going trick or treating at her age. She hasn't done this since she was a young freshling, but she had a weird feeling this year might be fun.
She looked around the blocked and spotted a brown and white house with its light porch on. She thought that this would be a fine house to start her trick or treating at. Eileen started walking toward the door when she saw a bowl of candy on a stool. It said "take a bag."
"Well, that's one less awkward conversation." She said as she pulled a candy corn bag out of the bowl and placed it in her bucket.
It took a while for Hailey to manage to wrangle Malachi back to Trick-or-Treating after he found that bat. She couldn't help giving him somewhat of a sourpuss face over it. They were supposed to be getting candy! Not chasing animals... Sigh. But all the familiars were making him so happy that she couldn't help being happy for him after she thought of that. Rolling her eyes to herself while nudging her friend to the next stop, she swooped around him and went right for it!
Malachi couldn't understand why Hailey was being so fussy over him chasing the Nuzbat. She had been complaining so much about the tricks instead of treats that he didn't think the little time he spent getting such a cute critter was a big deal. But apparently it was. Boy it was hard with her sometimes. Even so, he smiled as he stepped up beside her and took his turn after hers.
"Nope! Nopenopenopenopenope!" Hailey said as she decidedly threw the gummy poo as far from herself as she could. "No more gummy poo. It's gross!" Huffing, she plopped down on her butt and sighed. ... And a short distance away was another Vespercat. "Oooh! Khai! Help me catch that kitty, please?" and she batted her eyes at him.
Yuck... old popcorn. Oh well! Even though these tricks were gross, he still found himself being able to appreciate the effort all the Nightmares gave to give them a fun time this time of year. And as Hailey pleaded with him to help her catch an animal, he couldn't help giving a questioning brow quirk. She was just complaining about him doing that!... all the same, he sure couldn't say no to her!

So now that the first place was under wraps, it was off to stop two! Dodger amused himself with air drumming as he walked, grinning to those who gave him funny looks. He liked that part of being him after all. "Toooot tooooot! Pulling into Trick or Treat stop numbah two!" he said with a grin. "Trick or Treat to meeee!"
"Oh cool!" he said with a slightly bigger grin as he managed to get, not only a bracelet with his favorite colors, but this goofy looking little puff ball thing. "I can dig it~" he said, slipping the bracelet on and tossing the little ball of puff in the air, catching it as it fell back down.
While school matters had taken up her time for most of the Haunted Hallows Festivities, that wasn't going to stop her from trying to make the most out of what time she had left for the event! Dressed up in her Vampire Seductress costume (Something that at least gave her some appeal, while also being mindful of the kiddies), she made her way over to the games and see what was available. She settled for a game of toss where she had to toss some "spider" beanbags and have at least 2 of them land in designated holes on the spiderweb display. Luck was not on her side, however, as she could only muster up 1 spider into the hole. It wasn't a complete loss however, as 1 spider could still allow her to pick something from the Trick pile they had provided on the side. While she found the turnipheads and disembodied popcorn hands to have a creepy charm of their own, she opted for the practical box of raisins. The particular box she found herself eyeing however seemed to be perched on the lap of a plush vespercat, as if the feline itself were holding it. As she picked up the raisins, the plushie seemed to follow, stuck to the box.
Unable to resist such a cutie, she stuffed both the vespercat and raisins into her bucket.

There were no other skull-y candy for him. So the fallen took a lollipop and promptly stuck it into his mouth. He was sticky within seconds, which his caretaker was decidedly not happy about.
The chimera wasn't the least bit surprised that the supposed treat she'd been given was not quite up to the standards most would use. There was a rustling behind her and when she turned there was nothing there. Red eyes narrowed at the sensation that she was being sniffed?
Something wet but intangible, like mist, brushed against her ankle and when she looked down there was a Spectrefox. She ignored it and began walking away. But it soon became clear that it was going to follow her home.
Peri snorted. The nerve of this girl! "If you'd been looking out where you were going, you would have seen me," he said. He brushed his hair out of his face and adjusted his grip on his slumbering pumpka. He looked the girl over. She was dressed in an excessively fancy dress, covered in glitter and sequins. "What are you, an explosion in a craft making factory?"
An adult was staring at them. "Trickortreatsmellmyfeet!" he said quickly. The adult dropped a green and black bracelet into Peri's bucket.
"Ugh!" she couldn't help the sound of disgust she let out. "I am a princess! You are some sort of...of disgusting monster, obviously!"
But she couldn't help herself when the adult came over. She held out her own purple bucket and trilled in the sweetest voice she could conjure up, "Trick or treat!" The adult smiled at her and handed her cotton candy. When their back was turned, she stuck her tongue out at the boy.
