Classes are out, sun was shining, no homework in sight; now was the perfect time to be practicing his soccer maneuvers. A couple of Ares' teammates were also out and willing to play. They set up a small field, putting up a line to let other kids not to stray too close, and then got out the balls. It didn't take long before they were all working up a sweat, running through their drills and working on getting the ball into the net juuuust right.
Most of the other students were avoiding the area just outside of their chosen field, but there was one who was almost making a beeline for them. They didn't appear to notice the lines at all and Ares glanced at them a couple times before focusing on the practice. His team was a couple points away from winning and he had the ball; the kid would move. With a massive kick he sent the ball flying towards the goal. . .only to see the kid from before directly in its' path.
"WATCH OUT!" he called, not believing the kid hadn't noticed what was going on and walking around them.

Ah, he'd gotten lost again. It figured. He'd been trying to find Nimbus, his Baphomet friend had offered to help him out with his science homework again but honestly, finding the science hall was just a pain! Every time he tried to go there, he ended up lost. This time he was pretty sure he'd ended up somewhere he'd never been before... what was with all of that shouting?
And there wasn't anything nearby he could put his hands on. The more he walked, the more frightened he became. Surely this was the day he'd wander off campus and die out in the wilderness or something. This was it.
Someone shouted "WATCH OUT!" but he had no idea who that was for, until he felt the ball connect directly with his face. Lior stumbled back, flailing a little before he toppled back onto his behind. With a small cry of pain he reached up to feel himself, noting the slight trickle of blood. Oh, that hurt. What on earth had happened? Oh, Nimbus was going to be pissed.

Ares watched the ball sail through the air and the kid didn't make any sort of move to get out of the way or duck. Maybe he was going to headbutt the ball? But no, the junior took the ball straight to the face and fell back. What the heck? Hadn't he heard the warning? The imp began jogging over towards him. Another of the nightmares went off to grab the ball and there was a couple clustered around the fallen kid.
"Hey, they alright?" Ares called out to his teammates. He just got shrugs back as he circled around to see the damage for himself. Ahhh nine, there was blood. Ares crouched in front of the demon, balancing on the balls of his feet. "You alright? You walked right into the middle of our practice," the imp tried not to sound like he was jumping down his throat or blaming him, but it should have been obvious what was going on.

Oh, the world was spinning... Well, his sense of the world was spinning, not that he could actually see anything. He reached out awkwardly, trying to find something to hold onto, anything to steady himself... his hand connected with... a pole? A metal pole? He felt it a little, noting the string tied around it.... then felt the net... oh! That was a goal post. Suddenly it all made sense.
"H-huh?" His attention was pulled away by the voice asking if he was alright... He hadn't heard that one before, so this was a stranger. "I... I think I'm okay. I feel like I'm spinning...." He trailed off, and tightened his grip on the goal post. Oh this was uncomfortable.

Watching the kid flail around, Ares thought he been hit a bit too hard. Frowning, he bit his lip and ran a hand through his hair. The assurance that he was okay did little to clear up the doubt. "Spinning hm? Here, lemme see your eyes," the imp said, reaching for his face. He took a firm grip on his chin and turned his face so that there was better light on it.
"You might have a concussion." Minor injuries happened often enough in the sports he played that he could at least tell when to get someone to the nurse. Checking the kids' pupils, he was concerned about the way they were dilated "How many fingers am I holding up?" he asked, releasing his chin to hold up two fingers. Nepsah -quiet giggling in the background-

Oh his head hurt, so, so much... He blinked slowly, and then rubbed at his nose gently. "O-oh... um..." He blinked again, hard, then shook his head very, very slowly. "I don't know, I can't see." He probably should have explained that he couldn't see because of his blindness, but alas. He wasn't exactly thinking about it at that very moment. The world was slowly, slowly started to stop spinning, but it wasn't fast enough.

"Well s***," Ares swore under his breath. "Didn't think I kicked it that hard," the last bit was more to himself than to the injured party. "Alright, let's get you to the nurse. I can't help with the inability to see, but maybe she can. Plus she has some medicine that can help with the dizziness." A couple of his teammates ribbed him when they heard this, but he shot them a glare. "Can you stand up?" Hopefully he could, if not the imp would have to recruit some assistance. More than likely that would have to come from one or more of his teammates.

He blinked, confused for a moment as to why he'd assume he had kicked the ball that hard-- oh. He hadn't explained that he was blind to begin with, so naturally whoever this was had assumed he'd hurt him enough to lose his vision... Lior was fairly certain that if that were the case, he definitely wouldn't be this calm! Not that he'd ever experienced vision, but from the way others talked about it, it sounded like a truly terrible thing to lose. He nodded a bit, but didn't reach out for assistance with standing. "I just want to sit a little longer..." He sighed, and reached up to rub his head. "I was blind before you hit me, by the way."

"Oh, OH." A blush darkened Ares' already flushed cheeks and he was sincerely glad that the demon in front of him was unable to see it. He coughed awkwardly, reaching to wipe some sweat off his face so his teammates wouldn't notice. "That, ah, would explain why you took it so calmly. . and didn't get out of the way in the first place," the last part muttered to himself. "Well here, let's get you out of the way then so we can finish practice."
With that as his only warning, Ares moved to scoop Lior up, holding him bridal style. It was moments like these where he was glad he was tall for his race and played a variety of sports. "I'm just gonna set you over here, out of the danger area. Stick around like, fifteen minutes, and I can help you get to wherever you were heading." The imp carefully placed Lior up against a nearby tree, in sight but not in danger of getting a second ball to the face. "I'm Ares, by the way," it finally dawned on him that he was a nameless stranger at this point.

While his hearing wasn't anything particularly special, he did catch that muttering. Well then. Maybe they could've just... told him he was moving into a dangerous area? He wasn't about to say anything about it, though. He really should try to get one of those sticks... no one seemed to identify blind students without them -- but he didn't really like the idea of walking around with what was essentially a sign on him that said 'HEY EVERYONE, I CAN'T SEE!'
"W-wait-- oh..." He instinctively held on -- tightly. Lior was not really a fan of being touched by anyone but Nimbus, let alone being carried. At least when he was on the ground he had some vague sense of where he was, but up in the air? He had no idea what was going on or how long they'd traveled.
Once set down, he immediately felt around the area... seemed like he was at the base of a tree? Where was he anyway? This was just more disorienting than before, and it was not a very good feeling. "I have no idea where I am now so... I'll be here I guess. I'm Lior."

It came as a vague shock when the younger male clamped onto him. If he'd thought about what he'd done even a little, it wouldn't have been such a surprise. There was a small expression of confusion before he set the kid down. Watching Lior touching the area, Ares could have kicked himself. Seriously, how had he missed the fact that the kid was blind. Maybe it had been because he looked like he had a goal in mind when he'd been walking?
"I could call someone else over to take you back toward the school when you're feeling better?" he suggested, taken aback by his words. The imp hadn't considered he would disorient the poor junior until the latter had said something. Getting back a negative, Ares shrugged and turned to head back to end practice. "I'll be back, promise," he called back as he jogged off.

"No, it's fine- I'll wait here." Lior nodded, and sighed a bit. He'd just utilize this time to steady himself a little more... and hope that Ares actually came back. He liked to have faith that people wouldn't lie to him like that- especially when he'd admitted that he had no idea where we was. He didn't ever wander out far enough to touch trees out here. What if he kept going in some other unexplored direction?
As adventurous as he was, he really, really didn't want to get lost in a wide, open space with nothing to base his position off of. That was just terrifying.

True to his word, fifteen minutes later Ares came jogging back up with his bag around his neck and soccer ball in hand. Admittedly, the rest of practice hadn't gone nearly as smoothly as the previous hour had. Part of it was due to the fact that Ares kept glancing over to make sure the demon had actually stayed put and part of it was just their mojo had been thrown off. His teammates had teased him about carrying Lior but he'd just given them grins and teased them right back. There was a half and half chance of Lior having heard, so he was a bit wary when he approached him. There was no telling how he'd have taken it.
"We're done," he said as soon as he was within range. "Feeling any better?" Ares wouldn't mind taking a chance to sit down and cool off if he wasn't. His hair had been haphazardly pinned back and his face was flushed more than normal from the exertion. A bit of rest and a shower would do wonders for him, but it could wait if Lior was ready to get to wherever he'd been trying to go.

As he feared, Lior had heard some of the teasing that went on, as well as a few of the rebuttals... He'd decided to block them out after a couple were exchanged-- it wasn't doing him any good to listen to it. The sound just meant that he wasn't alone, that was all. He sighed, waiting (im)patiently while Ares finished up his game... Was it soccer? Honestly Lior had no idea what the difference between various sport names he'd heard were.
After what felt like forever he finally heard approaching footsteps, and perked up. "Oh, good..." He nodded a bit, then carefully braced himself against the tree as he stood up. "Yes, I feel better. It'll be even better when I get back to my friend." He sighed, and rubbed the back of his head. "I was supposed to meet him around the Enoch dormitories..."

"Well, you got it about half right," Ares replied with a chuckle. "The Enoch dorms are nearby, but you overshot them by half a field or so. You probably made a wrong turn on the paths or something." He took a half step back as Lior stood up, making sure there wasn't any chance he'd run into him. "So, how do you want to go about getting back? Would you rather we just chatted as we headed towards the dorms, or would you rather I held your hand or something so we don't have to talk?" He didn't care much either way, but it would make a difference in how fast they got back. This whole blind thing threw him off just a bit.
Nepsah -whistles casually- totally done like months before this orz
