Sitting on top of the table, Ares had a good view of the festival behind Nashira. “Actually, it looks like the festival is over, judging from the looks the staff are giving me.” He said ‘me’ though they were giving the both of them looks. Odds were they weren’t quite far enough away from the festival for them to clean up properly or something. “Let’s move this party somewhere else. You said you didn’t have anywhere to be, right? We can walk and talk and decide where we’re heading after we get out of their way.”
The imp hopped back off the picnic table, sliding his hands into his pockets and turned to lead them away from the section of field that was in use. He snagged his base, sliding it on and playing a few chords on it. His good mood was infectious.

Nashira really had been enjoying her time with Ares. He was quite nice, and his inventions sounded quite fascinating. She hadn't realized how late it was until she followed Ares's gaze and saw the the caretakers looking at them. "Oh... We should move then." She waved her hand dismissively. "No, I don't have anywhere to be. I've studied as much as I could, I think I'll be good for classes this next week." She watched as he grabbed his guitar. The familiars she had met at the dance followed her as she turned to walk with Ares. As the imp strummed his guitar, she smiled, twirling on her toes, then swaying her hips and arms in a slow belly dance. "You do play quite well..." She complimented.

“I hear you with that studying. I’ve only got a couple more classes and I can finally graduate and get outta here.” Ares’ new vespercats both tried to jump up onto his shoulders, knocking one another off. He gave a snort burst of laughter at the two of them. “Maybe you should follow the kidden’s example and trail behind, huh little guys?”
Oooh, very nice. He did not mind in the slightest when she started to dance to his strumming. “I take it you like to dance quite a bit then?” he mused to her, riffling through a few different songs to pick one to play. “We should probably head back to the dorms to get these guys squared away before we do anything else.” Much as he enjoyed walking around with his familiars, he should probably make sure his newest would get along with his other pets and feed them. Odds are Nashira would want to as well.

Her steps paused as she saw the vespercats try to jump on Ares' shoulder. She smiled at them. "How energetic. Are you two alright?" She asked the cats. When Ares suggested they see to their familiars, she glanced at the jackalope that was darting behind her, then to the rammykin floating along behind her. She reached out to take the little fluff and brought it close for a hug. "I suppose you are right. I wouldn't want this little one to be blown away while we are walking." She looked back to Ares. "...Are you suggesting we call this evening concluded? Or may I meet up with you for further conversation. I have quite been enjoying your company..."

Ares was quick to shake his head at her suggestion. “Oh no, I was thinking we could visit our dorms on our way to wherever our final destination is going to be. I’m in the Enoch rooms. My roommate is more out than in, so it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle to drop my guys off. If you’re elsewhere, we can split and meet up again after?” He wasn’t too fond of the idea, but hey, he wasn’t about to drag her along if she didn’t want to go.
He turned the both of them towards the Academy, aiming for his own set of dorms first. His normal pace was probably at least twice what they were currently going at, but he wasn’t in any hurry today. Absently he plucked the strings of his base, playing one of the earliest songs he’d learned. It was pretty simple, but he enjoyed it.

"I am in Enoch as well." She said, following him easily. Nashira was glad for the slower pace. It was a nice evening, after all. "It shouldn't be too bad to bring our familiars to our rooms and then meet up." She pondered what they would do as he said his roommate was out more often then not. "Perhaps you would show me your plushie cannon? Meeting back by your room would likely be best. My room is very over crowded with familiars." She blushed a little. She loved her familiars, but with her two new familiars, she had 21? "...I would also enjoy simply listening to you play, if that is what you would prefer. You were right, after all. I do enjoy dancing. It keeps my body healthy, and music is relaxing and infectious." As they entered the dorms, she paused. "Well, my room is right here." She nodded down the hall to their right. Should we just meet back here at the door?"

Ares was slightly surprised that she was in the same house. Sure he wasn’t in the common areas very often, but he had thought he knew all his fellow seniors on sight at least. Maybe he’d put his nose to the grind a bit too hard. Or she could be a new transfer?
“Yeah! I could totally show you some of my inventions,” the imp was completely on board with the idea. He paused his playing for a minute to text his roomie, getting an immediate response that they were out. “Room is all clear today, aside from the pets.” A sly grin made its way onto his face. “Familiars, ey?” he teased, implying there was something else she didn’t want him to see.
With a short chuckle he nodded, “Alright. My room it is.” When she gestured down the hall that had his dorm, it cemented that he’d been too much work and not enough play recently. “I, uh, I actually live down this way too. Third door on the left is mine and my roommates.” He nodded to the door in question. “You can go ahead and come in when you’re ready, just make sure to knock. I’ve a revenant that sometimes tries to wander out into the hall.”

"Yes. 7 specterfoxes tend to take up a lot of room. And my pumpka can be a handful." She looked at the 2 familiars that followed her from that dance. "You two make 20 and 21." She said to the jackalope and rammykin. "But perhaps next time if you prefer, you may visit my dorm." She saw nothing wrong with it, and his teasing joke went over her head. "I am at the end of the hall, right by the stairs." She was about to walk away when he mentioned his revenant. "I hear they can be very fun familiars." A very soft smile passed her lips. "I will be sure to knock." Looking to her new familiars, she bid them to follow her. Weather they understood or not, they followed her to her dorm. She spent several minutes in her room, simply to feed her pets and make sure they were all ok. Not all of them were in the room, that would be ridiculous. She'd never get anything done! But there were still a good number of them inside. When she finished, she wandered back down the hall to Ares' dorm and knocked on the door.

As soon as Nashira had gone down the hall, Ares popped open the door to his dorm and caught the revenant that was in the midst of escaping. "Not so fast Chaucer, got a couple new friends for you to meet," Ares hugged the familiar close, letting the two vespercats slink in around his legs. Once they were all inside, he kicked the door shut and scooted a pile of parts to the side. Looking around, his dorm was definitely a mess. His roommate had been looking through his stuff again, he thought to himself with a sigh. "This is Tallulah and Talos, make nice," he said, setting the revenant on the floor among the two of them. After a moment of watching to make sure the three weren't going to get into a fight or anything, he set about picking up some of the more disgusting items littering the common area. The half full bowls, dirty laundry, and empty take out cups were the brunt of it, and he quickly scooped them up and dumped them into their respective area. At least he could shut the door to his roommates room and not have to worry about that.
Halfway through cleaning up some of his revenant's mess, he saw Chaucer trying to bury himself amidst some delicate wiring. "AhAhAhAh!" he cried, diving to get him back out of it. As he was carefully extracting the familiar, he heard the knock on the door. "Come in!" he called out, lifting a wire to try and make enough room to get Chaucer out without disrupting the flow of energy and shocking them both. His tail was the only thing keeping the two vespercats away, since they had both decided they wanted his attention while his hands were full.

She stopped off in her room, surprised that Ares's dorm was so close to her own. But then, she didn't socialize much with others, and didn't know most of the kids in her dorm. One of her specterfox approached her and sniffed at her new familiars. "I am sorry, it will be more crowded. Please play nicely though." She knelt and hugged her familiar about it's neck. She really did love specterfoxes. "I must go out again. Please behave." That was directed more towards her new companions. How long should she wait before heading over? She grabbed a glass of water, thinking about this before finally deciding to to head over. She stood outside his door and knocked. It would be rude to just... enter, right? Oh, but he had said to come in... but she had to knock first. Nashira waited for a moment after knocking before slowly opening the door. "Is it ok to come in?" She kept an eye out for a familiar that might try to escape.

Ares, arms full with Chaucer, made a noise of agreement at the question. "You're good!" his voice cracked halfway through as Talos, at least he thought it was Talos and not Tallulah, jumped over his tail and clawed his way up his body. Yelping at the very sharp claws digging into his skin as the vespercat climbed, he tried not to drop Chaucer in the process.
Clearing his throat and hoping he wasn't too red in the face, he glanced over his shoulder at Nashira. Talos, meanwhile, settled himself comfortably around Ares' neck, purring for all the world as if he hadn't just used his owner like a climbing post.
"You. . .don't have to loiter in the door, make yourself comfortable. Sorry about the mess, my roommate is a pig," he gave her a wan smile. "Give me just a minute to get him out of here and I'll introduce you to Chaucer. I'd say normally he's better than this, but that would be a lie." Laughing a bit, he turned his attention back toward his familiar. Tallulah had abandoned him to go sniffing about Nashira's legs, thankfully.
A few minutes later he'd managed to disentangle himself from the wiring without frazzling either of them and turned around, revenant in hand. Now it was cuddling him, complacent as can be, just the tip of its' tongue sticking out as it clung to his shirt. Ares gave her a brighter grin, hoping that she didn't think him too odd. The various piles of parts stacked throughout the room and half a dozen half made mechanics had some semblance of organization. Though, from her eyes, they might all look the same. His instruments had made their way back into his room proper, the door of which was half open to let his pet in and out.
Inside wasn't quite as messy. There wasn't quite as much room, and the majority of the floor space was taken up by his bed, his workstation, and a variety of knick-knacks he had for his pet. He'd have to make or get some new ones for the vespercats. For some reason he didn't think they'd be quite as fond of Chaucer's toys. Ah, it made his smile brighter just at the thought. He'd have to plan a trip to the pet store soon, to check out what kind of toys they might like and to pick up food for the two.
"Nashira, this is Chaucer. He's cuddly enough, for a revenant, though he has a knack for trouble like you wouldn't believe." he introduced, holding the pet out a bit in case she might want to hold him.

"Sorry. I was just enjoying the view." She said softly, looking at Ares as he became a climbing post and perch for one of his vespercats. "You do seem to have your hands full here." When he held the revenant out to her, she reached to take him. "Hello Chaucer. It's a pleasure to meet you." Nashira held the familiar against her chest and gently pet him. "Do you help Ares out with his inventions?" She asked the familiar, before looking back at Ares. "You have a lot of inventions scattered around. Do they all work? Or are they all in the process of being built?" She looked down at one of the pieces of machinery.
