Soquili's Name:
xxxxx Bolero Amachi

Name Meaning:
xxxxx Bolero is a type of Latin dance, and is slow tempo. It is also known for some “art music”. Amachi was the last name carried down from the father.
xxxxx Link: Bolero – Information on Bolero type music and dance.
xxxxx Link: Video – Song by DBSK, inspired by bolero, and shows some of the dancing style. This is also the song that inspired her personality and story. It's kind of my "muse" song for her now.
xxxxx Link: Lyrics - English lyrics to the song above, since it's in Korean.

Personality of Soquili:
xxxxx Everyone has heard the phrase "curiosity kills the cat". Well, in this little filly, curiosity fuels the fire. Bolero is very curious, and it often gets her into troubling situations, such as getting lost or irritating some bees, or something of the sort. Where as she doesn't normally like to be a bother, when questions arise in her mind, she cannot help but ask. She loves to learn, and even more so to dance and sing. But somehow her mind has been absorbed in wanting to know everything about everyone. She's very sweet, and kind, unless angered, in which case she has a rather fiery temper, though it has only been seen a few times when someone did something that really made her mad, and it was easy to subside with the help of her family. Overall, she's just a curious little filly with a lot to learn, and the drive to do so.

xxxxx It is questionable whether as she grows, she'll grow out of her curious mannerisms. One thing is for sure that Bolero will always sing and dance as her parents and the rest of the herd has taught her to do. She actually enjoys doing so, especially the dancing part. Though a log of songs seem to be fast paced, she prefers the slower songs, where she can move like running water and sing like an early morning song bird. That isn't to say she can't do the fast ones, she just likes the slower songs more.

xxxxx She will develop further as she grows, but as a foal, that is her personality. The way she would develop would depend on role-play.

Prompt Response
xxxxx [[ I hope that I did not ruin Cuauhcoatl. I went and read some role-play for him to study some, so it shouldn't be too off. ]]

"Don't worry Mother, Father. I can do this, just like everyone else before me."

She smiled gently toward her parents, her bright red eyes staring up toward them with a gentleness that only she could seem to muster. Bolero's eyes flickered back over her parents, leaning to nuzzle both of them gently as they bent down, before she nodded her head toward them. She was actually rather excited. She got to go do something that every little foal in her herd was able to do, from what her parents explained. She got to go on her very own first leap. And she was going to earn the second bell that would prove she was growing in the right way.

Her hoof fall quiet, Bolero followed her Godfather, and leader of their herd. Cuauhcoatl, a large male Angeni, was the one guiding her on this journey. It wasn't that she had chosen him personally, thought she did like the stallion; it was that her parents were so worried, so scared that something would happen, that they had practically demanded that she be taken by someone so strong, and so smart. She smiled some, her little tail swaying as she walked quickly after him, excited.

But as soon as she entered the large forest, it seemed almost frightening. The tall trees, random noises, and shadows that seemed to move everywhere no matter what she looked at. Her small ears laid back, before she looked over quietly toward the large stallion that led her path. Cuauhcoatl was interesting to her. The way he moved, and talked. She always loved to listen and learn from him. He just seemed too smart, and she couldn't help it. But right now, she was growing curious, and almost frightened. She paused, her head tilting toward the sound of a noise.

Moving quietly, the small filly wondered toward it. Her red eyes flickered from one spot to another, before Bolero peeked her head around a tree. She locked eyes on something in the distance, watching the creature move for a little while. She wasn't sure what it was. Little Bolero hadn't seen much of the outside world. Not really, anyways. But this creature seemed to be good. It was small, and making loud noises that sounded almost like singing. It made her want to sing, and join in with the lovely creature. She would have to ask Cuauhcoatl about it.

"Cuauhcoatl! What is this... thing...?" Her words caught in her throat as she turned.

He was gone.

Fear instantly struck Bolero's heart. She panicked, looking around frantically for the guardian who was to help her. He was no where to be found, and she couldn't help but be more scared. Her ears pinned back, and she called out for the stallion, looking high and low for him, running about. Eventually, she made her way to a clearing. It was brighter here, and she wasn't as frightened. But she knew without finding the stallion, she would be unable to find her way back to the herd, and her family. He was her only way home.

Her head lowered, the small filly wondered around again, calling out for him as loud as her little voice could carry. She needed to find him. She wanted to continue her lessons with him, and ask so many more questions. She wanted to be able to continue to learn to sing and dance with all her might. Bolero's eyes flickered up toward the sky. The great sun was starting to set, and if she didn't hurry, she'd be lost in the forest during the dark hours. A small whimper slipped from her lips, before she ran forward, looking around even more desperately than before.

During her galloping, the filly spotted something. It glimmered in a near by stream, and caused her curiosity to once more flare up. Moving toward it, she stared down into the crystal clear surface, before tilting her head the other way. What is that...? She wondered to herself, before leaning down to get a better look. It glistened like the sun, and seemed to shine with the water. It was small, like a bit of branch from a berry bush, but thicker. Needing to find out more, she leaned, and pulled it out of the stream with her teeth, stepping back only to set it on the grass.

It was an odd object, in the eyes of the youngest mind. It was silver in color, and shinned like the bells her father and mother had along their bodies. The top was circular, with a hole in the middle, almost like a ring. But there was something jutting from the bottom. It moved out a few inches, and then branched off in another anger, three different times, with different lengths. Even the design of the three barbs were different.

Confusion entered Bolero's mind, but she picked the object up, and trotted away, once more searching for Cuauhcoatl. She had to find him even more so now! The object needed to be identified. She wanted to know more than anything what it was. She somehow found her way back into the forest clearing, looking around some, ears pinning once more. Her bright body had to of been standing out from the green grass. Somehow he had to find her, and she him. Maybe she should have gone with one of her siblings instead... Surely they wouldn't lose her, for fear of her parents anger at losing the youngest of all their children.

Something caught her ears. Was that... her name called upon the wind? She tilted her head just in time to catch Cuauhcoatl running forward, and staring down at her. He started to talk in a flurry of what she could guess was worry, before calming almost instantly. Bolero blinked, her ears flicking up. Excitement moved along her body. She was found, and was going to be taken home soon. But she needed to know what this object was first! Her ears perking up, she stood up on her hind legs, and then lowered herself, before setting the object on the ground, and looked back up.

"Cuauhcoatl, do you know what this is? I found it in a stream." She expressed, her face shifting into curiosity.

The great stallion shifted, lowering his head some to observe the object in question, before answering rather quickly. "It is a key, young one."

"A key?" She mused, her eyes flickering over the silver metal. "What does a key do?"

He smiled toward her, before nudging her a bit with his nose. She picked it up, and walked along side him, her small body staying as close as she dared. Her head was tilted up though, watching him as he talked. Cuauhcoatl told her that each and every key was made different, to open a special lock that it went to. Almost as if they were made for each other, just as he was made for his mate, Ikinya. He told her of how that key must belong to someone out there, or something, and how it must be just sitting and waiting for the key to be returned, and unlock whatever it held captive.

During his talking, Bolero's eyes grew wide with wonder. She smiled some, shifting the key in her mouth, before looking back up toward him with bright eyes. Cuauhcoatl's golden eyes flickered down, observing her for a moment, before he smiled, and nudged her out of the woods a bit. She turned, looking up at him with wonder filled eyes still, and then tilted her head, her ears flicking somewhat, before she kind of backed up as he seemed to walk past. He turned his head though, and stopped, smiling toward her.

"Good job, Bolero Amachi. You have found your object. What you do with it is a mystery to me as of yet... But we will fasten it with your second bell, so that it will not be lost."

And with that, the old stallion walked away from her. Moving to her own area of rest, where she was sure her mother and father would come once word caught that she was home, she laid down, and set the key down before her. Bolero's red eyes flickered over the object quietly, before she leaned down and nudged it a bit. She wasn't sure what she was going to do now, but she knew what she was going to do once the time she was old enough came.

Bolero swore to one day find the key's lock. To find out just what it was hiding from the world. It would be her own adventure. Her own wandering. She would locate this lock, and then treasure what was inside, until the day the life left her body. After all, whatever was locked up was special to someone, somewhere. And if it meant years of searching, she would do so. She would always come back home, of course, but she would search until she found it, and then one day, she would settle with the object by her side, watching over it for as long as she could.

This was Bolero's muse.

A key of untold wonders.

And she would be the one to unlock it.

{{ This could lead to far more role-plays in the future, as well as fun plots. I would definitely move this farther as she progressed in her life. }}

Do you RP?:
xxxxx Yup~ I love to role-play. And when I do it, I try my hardest to make it as good as possible. ^^ I also very much so love to plot, in one way or another, so that I can further role-play. And based off how I am working with the basket in mind, I would definitely be plotting out majorly throughout her growing, as a foal and all the way through her adult life.

Example(s) of RP:
xxxxx Deceptoin – A role-play with a basket I was gifted. One of my favorite examples of my role-playing. ~ Completed
xxxxx Meeting the In-Laws - With Tiro and Mind, for Uhra meeting her future in-laws.
xxxxx What a Curious Looking Colt - Foal Role-play for Morkin, a basket I won from Pip and Chaos.
xxxxx List with links to all the role-plays I am in at Soquili currently.
xxxxx If any more are needed, just let me know, and I can supply them.
xxxxx ^^

How active are you in Soquili?:
xxxxx I’m as active as I can be. With work and school there are times where I kinda poof, but for the most part, I go in and do what I can when I can, and usually try and role-play as much as possible as well. I at least try to get on every day, and lurk, even if I don't post. I've been trying to be more active as of late, but babysitting has somewhat taken over. Though now that that has even calmed down, I should be on more often, and am always able to be reached via AIM or MSN.

Why do you feel you should get a basket/be picked as co-owner for a foal?:
xxxxx I love every single one of my Soquili, and often times work hard to make them have their own great story. I love to role-play to develop that. I know I’d role-play with the basket very extensively, and if I was chosen, I’d take great care of it. I like to give each and every one of my Soquili their own individual muse, and usually that muse is very strong, so I would be willing to role-play her at any time possible, and never really give up on that.

Why do you want this basket?:
xxxxx This particular basket? I love the lightning marking.
xxxxx But on a serious note, I adore the Pokemon the father and mother are based from, Chimecho and Chingling, and the both look stunning. As well as the herd. I’ve already become a part of it with Uhra and Quetzalcoatl through Adom, but I’d love to be able to further join in a lovely family based on music and dance, and a kind herd. I already know Cabriole, but I'd love to get to know the family he had left behind when he was captured by the flock. I would also love to possible continue being able to get lovely Soquili to play with with different people that I do not yet know well in the shop.

xxxxxAnd a good luck to everyone who applies~ <3

Soquili's Name:
xxxxx♪ Silate Amachi

Name Meaning:
xxxxx Silate is a style of dance that uses a mixture of martial arts and traditional styles.
xxxxx Link: Silate - Goes into more depth of the Silate style.
xxxxx Link: Samurai Heart - The song I am using for inspiration for Silate. It shows the type of style almost perfectly.
xxxxx Link: Lyrics - The English lyrics of Samurai Heart.

Personality of Soquili:
xxxxx Silate is a very rough and tough colt. He likes to do things his way, for the most part, and nothing really changes his mind on that. His parents sometimes can break into his little mind frame and get him to think of it another way, before he does something rash. He usually doesn't think before he acts, being he likes to get it done without anyone's notice. But that isn't to say the male isn't nice. On the contrary, he usually puts his headstrong-ness into the thought to help other people.

xxxxx When it comes to music and dance, Silate likes the more fast tempo, kind of hard music. He likes to use his hooves to set out a good beat, and dances to that. He prefers dancing than singing. And usually mixes a sort of martial arts than traditional style dancing. It will take him several years to fully be able to get the style down right, but it was the style he wanted to learn when he learned of it as a colt.

xxxxx [[ Note: As he grows up, via role-play and other reasons, he will change somewhat. This is just the basic personality, mainly for the foal. Some characteristics will continue over into adulthood. ]]

Prompt Responce
xxxxx [[ I hope I do not make Ikinya seem off in her nature. ]]

The day was bright, to the point that he had to squint in order to see. He almost hated it. Usually he preferred somewhat cloudy skies over the bright ones that their lands always seemed to have. He stared quietly over toward the forest area he was told to go into in order to try and find something to bring home for his Second Bell. Apparently it was a tradition in their family that he had to follow through with as well. Letting out a small sigh, the colt lowered his head, walking after the small mare.

It wasn't just any mare though. This was was literally very small. Silate was still shocked his god father, an Angeni, had decided to fall in love with his god mother, an Usdia. But Ikinya wasn't too bad. She seemed very loving, and easy going. So, he followed the oddly patterned horse into the forest where he was to explore. His eyes flickered about, before he lifted his head and looked around. His parents had been adamant about him having to leave. About him having to go get this object and come back for their second bell. He sighed, ears flicking back.

Walking along the forest path, the soft colored colt moved quietly about, his eyes flickering once more. His golden orbs locked on random things, before he flicked his ears and thought he heard something. He murmured under his breath, slowly turning. Silate shifted and walked through a few trees, before peeking his head around another one, and his body kind of froze. Standing before him, was a small rabbit, being batted around by a fox who seemed to almost be tormenting him. Silate's nostrils flared, and he shook his head.

"Ikinya... This fox is attacking a rabbit." Silate stated, furry in her eyes, before he looked over his shoulders.

He frowned though, when he didn't see the small Usdia wondering around. He growled some, shaking his head. How did she end up wondering away when she was supposed to escort him? Flicking his ears back, his golden eyes locked back on the fox, before he surged forward through the brush. His tail flicked some, before he reared up on his back legs, and beat his forelegs in the air. He let out a loud bellow, causing the fox to stare up at the horse, before he ran off into the woods, leaving the little rabbit alone.

Silate snorted some, shaking his head, glaring toward the area the fox had disappeared in. He walked forward carefully, and lowered his head toward the rabbit, who continued to cower some. Staring lightly, he leaned and nosed it lightly, his head tilting. The rabbit lifted his head, staring some in fear, before it was off like a jet, disappearing in the woods as well. Silate tilted his head, shaking it some.

"There you are! I seemed to have got ahead of myself. I'm sorry." Ikinya's voice sounded behind Silate.

He turned quietly, looking over toward her. Silate tilted his head, before he turned, and walked quietly forward, following him once more. They were out until nearly dusk, before Ikinya walked them home. Silate sighed, his head lowering, walking quietly, his hooves dragging someone on the ground as he did so. He looked up some, staring toward the herd that had been waiting for him to come back. His mother was the first to approach asking quickly what he had found out.

"Nothing... Absolutely nothing." He sighed, his ears pinning some as he stared toward the grass beneath his hooves.

Mecho let out a chuckle, staring toward his son, before his eyes flickered to lock on something behind the colt. "I think you found something, son."

Turning his head some, Silate stared toward the space behind him. Sitting in the brush, barely noticeable, was the small rabbit that Silate had saved before. His head tilting, the colt slowly turned and walked forward, his head lowering some to stare toward the rabbit in the eyes. The creature let out a small noise, it's nose wiggling some, before he hopped forward and set a paw lightly on Silate's nose. It caused the colt to shake out his head, before lifting it.

"Well... I guess you can stay here if you want." Silate murmured, his eyes flickering toward his parents some, before back down at the rabbit.

The saving of the rabbit proved to be enough to earn the second bell from the herd, and Silate wore it with pride. He was almost always with the little creature, talking to it and keeping it safe from other people. He would often be seen laying around, and talking to him as well. He would even sing and dance, and teach the rabbit some of the moves as well. It turned out that the little rabbit was going to be the best of friends to the colt.

[[ If I win him, I will get him a rabbit for a familiar. ]]

Soquili's Name: Aumoe
Name Meaning: Time to sleep; late at night; midnight.

Personality of Soquili:

~ She is like her mother, yet not. She does suddenly fall asleep, but it's always at the same time every day. (expanded tomorrow when I wake up)
~ Before and after that time of involuntary sleep, she's as extremely confident in herself. She's believes every decision she makes is the right one, and if it isn't she views it as a learning experience for the next time. She doesn't care what anyone else thinks, because at end of the day, she has her family, and she's her own mare.

Prompt Responce

Quote:
Prompt 2:Wandering around one day, you come across your great uncle, Remiel, who decides to delight himself with a little conversation. Leaning close, he riddles a question to you.

Light in the clouds like father, or sleepy headed like mom. Are you the kind who finds themself tired suddenly like she is, or always wondering and worried like your father? How does this make you feel? I don't expect a huge explanation. . . you are just a child.

How do you respond?

Aumoe had enjoyed her night's sleep, however involuntary that it was. It had come unexpected to her, but she knew she could deal with it - she had to sleep sometime, right? But now it was morning, the dew of the grass was clinging to her hooves and legs, making her crave more warmth from the sun, or to run, having the wind dry her off, but she couldn't do that with her watchful mother, and ever worrisome father. However, when she looked back, her mother had fallen asleep and her father was busy worrying over the other three. Her ears perked and her mood lifted as she quickly scampered out of the view of them all.

At times it was nice to have such a large family at times like this, though she didn't always feel that way. That didn't matter now that she was on her own, she liked the quiet, the independence.

With head held high, she pranced on her merry way, enjoying all the life around her. She heard the beat of hummingbirds' wings, the call of the wolves, the plight of the crow, and it was all invigorating to her, her step given a slight more bounce. But all at once, it all stopped - the sounds, the feeling - and a eerie silence filled the air. Where once there was nothing, stood her Uncle Ramiel...or was it Great Uncle...she couldn't remember.

"And who are you?" He simply asked. She knew he knew her name, whose offspring she was. No, his question was deeper, more asking to her core.

"I am Aumoe, and simply that. I will be a mare of confidence and poise. All others will look to me for guidance and comfort and decisions. I will not have to answer to anyone, they will answer to me," She answered confidently, her head still high.

"Ah," was his response, "but who are you now?" And she found herself without an answer. She could have sworn she'd answered his question....but did she? When she looked back in his direction, he was gone, and the forest had turned back to its lively self. Blinking, and shaking a chill off, she scampered back to her family, where no doubt Daddy Able would worry over her.

Why do you want this basket?:
~For plain and simple fact, it's gorgeous. It's the first that caught my eye and I got a strong urge of a need for this basket. It makes me really excited to see how it turns into a mare, regardless if she's mine or not. Second, I feel a lot more comfortable RPing females, and my herd is mostly males, though I'm not complaining, I love all my stallions, I just need more estrogen~! Plus, being part of plots is a lot of fun ;3

Sorry it's so short, I have a really hard time with personalities. Not so much coming up with them, but putting them down into words is the hard part for me.

Soquili's Name: Rebekka
Name Meaning: “The Vulgate (Latin) form of biblical Rebekah; Hebrew רבקה ( Ribh'qah; Modern: Rivkah), "enchantingly beautiful", "captivating", "snare"”

Personality of Soquili:
Enchanting - Even though Rebekka (and no, she refuses to have nicknames) has the regal air of her mother, it doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t speak her mind. Rebekka is outspoken and firm with her beliefs, which is also different from her father. She can come off as ‘mean’ or ‘brutal’ to others, but in her mind, nothing is wrong. Rebekka believes that she is always right and stands firmly in her beliefs, even when she grows into a young mare.

Besides an air of regality, her presence is alluring when Rebekka ‘isn’t’ Rebekka and turns into her. Being much more manipulative than Rebekka, she is very alluring towards stallions and other mares, often making them forget what they were doing before to follow her, normally into some sort of danger. Sometimes, it can lead to the Soquili getting hurt, but most of the time, it results in Rebekka regaining control, seemingly ‘waking’ from a dream, confused to where she is and what she is doing.

(The trigger for ‘her’ to show up is normally when Rebekka grows upset/irritated and loses her footing on her beliefs.)

However, Rebekka does know who causes it, and she never will accept that she is part of her. Rebekka herself would crack a smile at a stallion or mare, but would never show any interest in anyone romantically, puppy love as a filly or romantic love as an adult.

(As I’m typing this up, I think a fun plot to do with her would be meeting someone that could both cause Rebekka’s ‘other’ side to come out as well as cause Rebekka to come out again. Kinda like… A game to them?)

Also, the 'other' side of Rebekka isn't necessarily evil. She just likes to taunt people and mess with them. If they don't show and interest in her, she's not interested in them. It's only when she catches those eyes staring at her, either with wonder or lust that she plays around.

(I hope that counts more for 'twisted' than evil.)

Prompt Responce
Prompt 2: Wandering around one day, you come across your great uncle, Remiel, who decides to delight himself with a little conversation.

------------------------

A cold shiver went down Rebekka’s spine as she walked away from her parents; having three other kids, her father was always busy and her mother… well… either she was tired of carrying the four of them through her pregnancy or she just felt like sleeping. It wasn’t like Rebekka cared at all what they did. Family was family; she’d be there when they needed her, but much else, she didn’t really care for.

Step by step, Rebekka was headed deeper into the forest, headed towards a stream that her and her siblings had been shown earlier that day. The more she was alone, the less… she would show up.

This time, a chilling breeze blew, but instead of a shiver, Rebekka heard a voice, a stallion that would soon introduce himself as her great-uncle Remiel.

Let’s just say, Rebekka was not fond of how her… ‘great-uncle’ was confusing her. Right away, Rebekka disappeared and she arose from the irritated emotions of Rebekka. She batted her eyes at her great-uncle and smiled.

“Why does it matter which one Rebekka ends up like,” she asked smiling, still blinking her eyes, staring at Remiel. “Isn’t there always a chance Rebekka could end up like you?”

Her uncle was still quiet and she continued to walk, not facing him. “Rebekka is neither like her mother nor like her father. She is too sweet. A little bit clueless and too headstrong, but no matter, Great-Uncle.” She bowed her head and took a sip of water from the stream. Once finished, she held her head high and looked back at Remiel, still smiling at him. She didn’t really care much for him. All she knew was that eventually, she would take the place of ‘Rebekka’ and make her a strong, manipulating mare. She would be the one to stand out, to have a life of her own… To have strength.

Taking another drink from the stream, a chilling wind blew once again. Once she looked back, Remiel was gone. The chill also managed to snap Rebekka back to being herself, blinking wide-eyed at the area where Remiel was standing. Of course, she didn’t remember anything, but something was clinging to her… Something she felt like she was supposed to answer.

But ultimately, Rebekka knew who kept taking control. Someone was there and someone caused her to come out. She could feel that more and more, she was growing stronger already, and it was either Rebekka would have to grow stronger, or she would lose herself…

As she walked back to where her family was, Rebekka shook off a tear that had managed to fall. She was determined that she would not lose.

Why do you want this basket?: The family is gorgeous. <3 Friend has a distant relative of them, so… I thought it would be cool if I joined the family. ^^

Edit; I just wanted to add to the 'why' reason xD This actually slipped my mind while I was reading/writing this up, but I <3 Angeni ;w;' I can't afford any of my own for a long time, so I'm very appreciative of the chances that are given for one, even if part <3 Thankies luff ;w; <3

Soquili's Name: Azubah
Name Meaning: Means "forsaken" in Hebrew. In the Old Testament this was the name of Caleb's wife.

Personality of Soquili: Azubah is very peculiar and irresponsible. She has the opposite ailment as her mother and has a very odd sleeping pattern. Some days she will go without sleep completely thanks to the paranoia. She also suffers from Disorganized Schizophrenia, a very harmless but severe disorder that has a few delusions or hallucinations, unpredictable behavoirs, and inappropriate affection. While her explosive bursts of anger can sometimes be frightening, she will quickly lose interest or the voices will distract her with something new.

The voices come and go, they aren't always present and sometimes she will appear to be a perfectly normal Soquili. But the voices do like to torment her with talk about others out to get her and her family causing her moods to shift between anxious to anger--often completely irrational.

She is very withdrawn and avoids most social interactions. Because of this she has a very difficult time nailing voice inflection so often comes off the wrong way around others. She always appears dazed and off in her own little world with her expressionless gaze. Periodically, she'll forget someone else is around her or what she was going to do--developing a very unkempt appearance from time to time.
Special Note: Schizophrenia does not appear until adolescence to 30 years in human lives, so she won't hear the voices until she is approaching adulthood. But there are possible early warning signs in children.
  • Is unresponsive, withdrawn in infancy; has poor muscle tone
  • Is irritable in childhood; flat in affect; easily distracted
  • Has low reactivity in childhood and adolescence; poor motor functions such as coordination and balance
  • Is shy and introverted; rarely joyful
  • Is unresponsive in adolescence; has poor eye contact, little facial expression, and lack of voice inflection
  • Is socially incompetent in adolescence

Prompt Response

Prompt 1
It's a lovely day, your siblings have gone to pester dad and mom seems to have fallen asleep standing again, stricken by a sleeping illness she seems to have had since she was younger she says. Suddenly graced with so much to do, what do you do, where do you go, and what kind of goods or evils are lurking in the darkness?

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. She knew she should have gone with her brother and sisters to find dad, but she didn't want to leave mommy all by herself. And now mommy has fallen asleep on her feet and Azubah was all by herself! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. She shuffled from hoof-to-hoof, anxiously looking around for her family to come laughing back around the bend.

What was that that moved in the shadows? She pulled her ears back as she stared at the spot and tried to will it to move again. Nothing. Nothing was a good thing, wasn't it? But if there was nothing then she was really alone while mommy was off in the dream world. And who would know she was there if nothing was out there?

She didn't want to be a nothing too! That was why she didn't like sleeping. Sleeping made her a nothing, a nobody. And a nobody was well... nothing.

Her mind could have continued on this train of thought until something blew across the grass to land at her feet. Distracted, she gazed down at it. A leaf. She pushed it with one of her front hooves, forgetting that she was alone. The wind grabbed at it, tugging it away from her mother and the familiar area.

"Oh no. You will not be leaving, leaf," she said flatly as she bounded over to place the other hoof on it. "You're going to stay right here," she demanded with a firm flick of her little tail. Her moment of paranoia over, she happily played with the leaf while her mother slept on.

Why do you want this basket?: I've always enjoyed the Reaper storyline from afar and I'm hopeful for a chance to be part of the newest chapter.

Soquili's Name: Caesura Amachi
Name Meaning: In meter, a caesura is a complete stop in a line of poetry. [wikipedia] I chose this for her name because although it is a pause in the song -- silence -- it is still an integral part of music. It still has a place, even if it isn't a note.

Personality of Soquili: Background: Her parents knew something was different about Caesura from the moment she was born. The young filly was so quiet, they assumed she was just terribly shy -- but it wasn't long until they all realized she wasn't just quiet -- she was absolutely silent. Not a word, not a cry; no, their youngest child had no voice at all. She could not share the joy of conversation or song with the rest of the family. But Caesura does not appreciate the sound of voice and music any less than the other soquili of the herd -- she listens longingly and with rapt attention to those around her, wishing she could participate, too. Oh, how she wondered what it was like! But there were other things she could learn to do; she could still hear, and she could learn to dance to the music of her brothers and sisters and adorn herself with bells and other trinkets to aid them in their songs.

Personality: As a filly, her lack of voice does make her shy indeed -- but it is to the thanks of the warm acceptance of the family and herd she was born to that will help her accept herself just as she is. She still struggles with her difference -- it is not the same as a good soquili with kalona wings, or an usdia in love with an angeni. They can all speak, and she is envious of them for it, though not hateful. Although she is confused and doesn't understand why, she knows it is just the Way Things Are, and Caesura accepts it is something she cannot change. She feels insecure of herself and her abilities; if she can't speak, what if there are other things that she can't do? What activities will she be unable to participate in with her family? She is sensitive to the fact that she has no voice, and becomes upset or hurt when treated any differently because of it -- even if it sometimes may be necessary, but as a foal, she has yet to grow into understanding.

Caesura has an immensely large heart; she loves all things with the same open-mindedness of her family and herd. She can approach Kaliska and Darius without fear of their kalona-like appearances, with complete and utter trust. And although she feels no hatred for those different from her, Caesura is nervous of the great big world outside of the herd and all the unfamiliar things it holds. Her insecurity and shyness increases around strangers, unsure of if they would understand her or how they might treat her for her voicelessness. But within her family? There is nothing but caring and the great desire to belong. She sticks to her siblings like glue, following them wherever they go with endless but timid curiosity. She has a strong desire to learn, but struggles to find ways to express herself.

Although Caesura has many dreams and wishes, she is still rather directionless which, for a filly, is not all that unexpected. But even as she grows older, Caesura will have a difficult time deciding where to go with her life; dancing? Trading? What could she specialize in? What could her talents be? She is afraid of failure, but determined nonetheless -- she just needs a little encouragement to get going. She wishes she could share all her thoughts and feelings with her family, but feels that she must endure many things on her own; without a voice, she can only 'tell' them so much. Despite this, Caesura is more expressive than she knows -- her emotions are worn on her hoof, clear as day, and no one could ever question the size of her heart.

One thing's for sure -- little Caesura is certainly unexpected in many ways.

As Caesura grows into adulthood, I plan for her to become more confident in herself and discover her own hidden talents for dance and music without voice (bells and such). She could also learn to communicate a little with her hooves, and I plan on getting her a crow familiar who knows a couple words at some point to help her. Of course, what I plan may change barring whatever character development occurs during foal- and teenagerhood, but I definitely hope she will grow into her own and find herself, learning acceptance and bravery.

Prompt Responce Caesura had both dreaded and looked forward to the day in which she would journey out into the world in an exploration to earn her Second Bell. She knew she would face challenges her elder siblings had not and was glad, at least, she wouldn't be going out alone. She felt safe with Cuauhcoatl, and so after a tearful goodbye to her family, she found herself trotting alongside him although he was not trotting at all -- in fact, he was walking quite slowly, and this was the only way she could keep up with the larger stallion's strides. Her mind was alive with excitement and fear, and her heart raced with both -- what adventures would they have on this journey? What would she find? What if she didn't find anything at all? Her young mind flitted away with a dozen different scenarios, trying to imagine what was in store for her.

She gazed up into the canopy of the trees above her, and lowered her nose to the ground, examining leaves and insects and twigs -- she didn't want to miss anything. What if the object she was looking for was hidden under this leaf? (She brushed it aside with a hoof.) Or THAT leaf? (She nosed the leaf aside to be sure -- still nothing.) It could be anywhere! Caesura had become so distracted in her exploration that, when a small hare ran past as she disturbed the bush it was hiding in, the filly's ears perked up and she chased after it gleefully. Which, of course, just made the hare run faster, not realizing that Caesura just wanted to be friends -- and when the hare vanished down into a hole, the filly stopped her chase, her chest heaving as she caught her breath from the run.

Caesura lifted her head to grin at Cuauhcoatl, only to realize... he wasn't there. She frowned, turning her head to look around her -- where could he have gone? She hadn't run all that far, had she? Suddenly she felt nervous; all around her were strange noises and unfamiliar lands, and her godfather was nowhere in sight. She shook her head lightly, and the bell attached to her mane jingled -- she paused and waited, hoping the angeni would hear the sound of her bell and find her. But several minutes went by, and he was still gone. The echo of her jingling bell had been drowned out by the activity in the great forest -- birds chirping merrily, critters snapping twigs as they scampered about, and the breeze whistling through the branches of the trees. That nervousness was quickly turning into fear. He can't have just gone! And she knew he wouldn't abandon her.

She was lost. Lost without her guardian, lost without a voice to even call out for him -- the young filly trembled where she stood, ears pressed back against her head as she tried to figure out what to do. It was as if she were frozen with fear, unable to move her legs an inch. Maybe she could find her way back home. They could just start again tomorrow, right? She had to move. She had to. The thought of being all alone out here when the moon rose is what finally got her hooves moving. Now -- which way had she come? She shook her head with a frustrated snort. She couldn't remember!

And then she saw it. A small twig partially snapped on the side of a tree trunk, pointing towards her. Had she brushed up against it in her hurry to chase the rabbit? She decided to follow the trail, looking for crushed leaves and bend twigs as she went, attempting to re-trace her hoofsteps. Her keen eyes took in every detail, heart leaping when she found more evidence left behind from her escapade through the forst. She only hoped it was her trail she was following... but she shook her head to quickly banish the thought. It was too scary to think she could be following something else. What if it wasn't nice?

But Caesura persisted. She kept moving, one hoof in front of the other -- and then, faintly, she heard: "Caesura?" It was almost a whisper on the wind, but she recognized the voice immediately. Cuauhcoatl! And then she was off again, the bell in her hair ringing merrily as she sprinted between the trees, following the sound of her godfather's voice. It was getting louder, louder still, and then -- the young filly ran right into Cuauhcoatl's side, tumbling over backwards in a daze. The great angeni looked down at her with surprise, and then relief. "There you are, young one." His voice was such a comfort that she barely felt the soreness from her fall, and he lowered a large wing down to help scoop her back up onto her hooves. Once she was steady again, Caesura instantly nuzzled the stallion's leg.

Maybe he was what she was supposed to be looking for. Friendship.

But no. She already had that. Her journey had already started off with much excitement -- and it had only been one day... what else was waiting for her? Caesura looked up at the angeni, finally feeling safe once more. She shook her head to jingle the bell in her mane again, and pawed her hoof twice on the ground. Bell. Two. It was still a learning process trying to figure out an efficient way to communicate with the voiceless filly, but Cuauhcoatl tried his best to understand. "Second Bell?" When she nodded, he continued. "No, of course not yet, little one. But there's still time, and many places to explore to find your object. Be patent, and it may even come to you."

Well. Caesura didn't know what that meant. How could an object come to someone? It was an object! Oh, well. She supposed she had plenty of time to figure it out. And even though she hadn't found her object yet, at least she wasn't alone. This time, she would be more careful before she ran off trying to make friends with the forest animals.

There was always tomorrow.

Do you RP?: Yes!!! But -- I can be a slow RPer due to lack of time and forgetfulness sometimes. Usually one or two friendly reminders does the trick!

Example(s) of RP: Haha -- well, I don't have many that represent how I play soquili that aren't, uh, evil. But I've been dying for some change, and this would be a refreshing addition to the mix. But here are the RPs I've participated in:
-- To Touch The Sky; Desiderius, a bratty young foal in denial that he will never fly meets Zucutto Sohalia, an extremely hyper and curious filly.
-- Lesson: Pay Attention; Witseidutsuei, the Angeni of Flight, runs into a careless young stallion.
-- Blood Red with Envy; The skinwalker Tabitha attacks Aleshanee, and Witseidutsei swoops in for the rescue!
-- A Slip `n Slide Meeting?; An oldie, but it was fun! Poor clumsy Nymphadora Tonks just can't keep her footing on the ice. And neither can Starseeker.
-- Movements of Peace and Violence; This was actually the result of me being bored at... really early in the morning because I hadn't gone to bed yet, and posting in the thread a request for a fight RP.
-- [x] | [x] | [x] | [x] ; A series of roleplays around the soquili I've been RPing the most, Nymphalidae, and her life since meeting Hallow's Bane. Yami and I have so, so much planned for these two, and they've been a blast both to RP and plot. ^^
-- ... and I have a ton (and I do mean tons -- I'm counting at least over 50 'threads' for one character in one game...) more off-Gaia if you want to see those, just ask! XD; They're all fantasy/magic war-based games, though.

How active are you in Soquili?: Well -- I log on every day, several times a day. But I lurk. I don't have the attention span to hold long conversations in forum settings and for some reason, feel a bit intimidated by them. :< But I'm pretty much always around on AIM when I'm not at work and will happily chat there, and can always be contacted via PM as well!

Why do you feel you should get a basket/be picked as co-owner for a foal?: I don't typically enter RP contests unless I have a strong muse for a character, so that I know I can be active with the soquili and not let the other owners of the family down -- which is the case here! I would so love to be able to participate in this family; I'm fond of the Yectenehua Herd, and have followed the RPs of this family for a while now. I would certainly do my best to be active with the soquili and the family!

Why do you want this basket?: I want this basket in particular because it's a mare. I love to play strong female characters -- in fact, most of the mares I have are strong in some way. (Except for Kayla, which you know. XD) And when I'm not playing strong female characters? I'm playing violent, murderous characters. So I thought it'd be nice to do something different. And, as I said above, I'm fond of the Yectenehua Herd, and have followed the RPs of this family for a while now. Being part of an actively RPed family is really appealing to me, and I always have a much easier time being persistently active when there's a lot of activity.

Soquili's Name: Vivacissimo Amachi
Name Meaning: "very lively" ; in music, very lively and up-tempo

Personality of Soquili: Eldest of the bunch, Vivacissimo has a job to do, even though no one asked him. He's a generally happy sort and it takes a lot to upset him. Fiercely loyal and protective, he is proud to take on the responsibility of helping look after his younger siblings.

Prompt Responce
(For purposes of the prompt, I'm going to make up an elder. I don't feel comfortable writing a character I don't own and none of my own Soqs would be appropriate for the journey. I hope that is alright.)

The air was still, the birds were quiet, and Vivacissimo was hopelessly lost. Separated from the elder that had accompanied him on his quest, he wandered back and forth in the forest, searching for some sign of his companion.

"Lorai?" he called out softly, looking around. He hoped the elder mare would find him before anything dangerous did. Frowning, he reprimanded himself silently. How could he protect his younger siblings if he couldn't be brave and figure out situations like this? Think, Vivacissimo. Think!

Suddenly it occurred to him that Lorai might be looking for him as well, or at least he hoped she was. Where would she look, though? And then he had it.

Heading for the last place he'd seen the mare, he began searching about the creek, calling her name. Resting a moment to catch his breath, Vivacissimo spotted the elder and nickered with joy, running to her side.

"Oh, my, little one. I thought I'd lost you," Lorai said, nuzzling the top of his head.

The colt laughed. "You almost did." He turned serious, though, gazing up at her. "Will this mean I won't be able to earn my Second Bell?"

"No," the mare answered. "I'd say you're off to a good start with your bravery and level-headed thinking. Let's continue on, shall we?"

Vivacissimo nodded and followed after as Lorai started walking again, all the while thinking he would have to pay more attention. Determination set on his young face. He would earn his Second Bell and he would be the best big brother his younger siblings could ever hope for.

Soquili's Name: Coda Amachi
Name Meaning: more or less an independent passage, at the end of a composition, introduced to bring it to a satisfactory close

Personality of Soquili: Born the last of the bunch, Coda feels very special, that she has a purpose in life. Full of curiosity, good intentions, and a little mischief, she can at times be a pampered princess and at others be an adventurous tomboy, feeling she needs to be included in everything her siblings do, and not realizing she's being a pain in the tail to them. She hopes to be something great one day and show that big things come in small packages.

Prompt Responce
(For purposes of the prompt, I'm going to make up an elder. I don't feel comfortable writing a character I don't own and none of my own Soqs would be appropriate for the journey. I hope that is alright.)

Lost. Lost. Lost!

Coda was upset and desperate. How could Lorai have disappeared on her like that? Didn't the elder know how special she was? How important?

Running back and forth across the lake shore where she'd last seen Lorai, the filly was growing more agitated and upset with each passing moment. No longer able to hold back her tears of frustration, Coda wailed and cried for the elder to come get her, having stopped running about and standing still by the lake.

Why was being alone so scary? She missed her older siblings and her parents and just wanted to go home. She didn't even care about the stupid Second Bell anymore. Continuing to cry, she hung her head down, sniffling and sobbing and just wanting someone to come get her.

A soft rustling brought her attention around and Coda let out a small shriek. Oh, no! All her noise had attracted something icky to come get her. Closing her eyes tight, she made a mad dash at the noise, barreling into whatever creature might have made it in the hopes of knocking them over and getting away.

"Coda?" called a familiar voice as the filly bounced off the side of whatever she'd run into. Slowly Coda backed up and opened her eyes to see Lorai standing there. She was found again!

"I was so scared. Why did you leave me?" Coda cried, trying not to start crying again.

The elder tilted her head. "I only left you for a moment and I told you where I was going. You weren't listening as usual."

"Does this mean I can't have my Bell?" the filly asked, pouting.

"Well, no, but I think you have a long journey ahead of you yet in earning it," Lorai answered, sighing. "Come on, let's go. Even the longest journey begins with a simple step."

"Of course it does, silly," Coda said, her mood already lifting now that she had someone around to pay attention to her again. "How else would anyone get anywhere?"

Do you RP?: YES! I will RP either in the guild or over AIM (and I like logging the AIM RPs in the guild) to suit the needs of whomever I'm RPing with. I enjoy plotting and big family stories, too.

Example(s) of RP:
Strength of Family - Illidan agrees to help Doan Vien find her daughter. (still in progress)
A Hunting We Will Go - Ghostpaw and Rishy on the prowl. (complete)
Life is a Miracle Miyako and Deusdedit talking about the Great Spirit. (complete)
-can provide more if needed.

How active are you in Soquili?: Very. I took a hiatus from all things Gaia, but when I cam back, it was with a vengeance. I chat in the shop just about every night and stay as current as I can with RPs. I also try the breeding raffles and contests. I also make myself available via AIM for anyone that asks.

Why do you feel you should get a basket/be picked as co-owner for a foal?: I'm a good owner, or at least try to be, and I'm always up for RP or plotting or even just a friendly chat. I enjoy being able to try out new roles through Soq and allow them to develop into interesting characters that I love to RP with and hope others do, too.

Why do you want this basket?: I have always loved this family since I first learned about them (right after their first breeding). I haven't been able to keep up with their story as much as I'd like, but I hoping winning a basket from this family will give me a chance to not only catch up on their amazing plots, but to become a part of what is one of the loveliest and most unique families in Soq.

Soquili's Name: Legato Amachi
Name Meaning: "Legato" indicates a smooth composition.

Personality of Soquili: As the eldest brother he feels it's his job to step up and help though he doesn't look at it like that, he looks at it as a gift and role he takes honour in doing and being part of. He looks up to his elder siblings from other breedings and tried to be a shoulder to lean on when another is in need of support around him. Like his father was originally however, he can have moments where a bit of selfishness shines through.

Prompt Responce Curiosity killed the cat, or so the saying said. At this point however it seemed close enough to reality. Having be separated from his guardian for what seemed like hours Legato hadn't the slightest idea what to make of any of it. Even wondering away from his parents he had never gotten this lost and had never been this alone. He had sworn that Cuauhcoatl was only a few hoof steps away from him.

Disorientation was kicking in more and more slowly, causing a faint panic to run through Legato's entire body. He had lay down, trying to regain his composure and piece together where Cuauhcoatl could be in the world which was gigantic outside of his family group. Ears down he sulked, lost and unsure. Forcing himself back to his feet after a few moments of calming himself down he tracked on in search of his guardian once more.

Roaming further he brought himself to a stop, his eyes catching something laying under a tree. His ears perking up high. While it wasn't Cuauhcoatl it was something different, unusual almost. Roaming towards it it appeared to be a small animal, however upon further examination it was made of fabric, something not real. Definitely something different and impressive. As he reached down to take the old tattered animal in his mouth he could hear his name being called in the distance.

Found, found was the only word running through his head. Quickly grabbing the old toy he made off in the direction of the voice in swift bounds, happily being reunited with Cuauhcoatl.

_________________________

Do you RP?: Why yes I do. I RP on both gaia and on AIM so I am pretty easy to get a hold of for RP. I try to check in on guild RPs every other day or so if I can.

Example(s) of RP: Newest to Oldest
Self RP 1
Recent RP 1
Recent RP 2
Recent RP 3
Incomplete RP 1
Group RP
Old self RP

How active are you in Soquili?: As staff I try to at least be around. I try in breedings and I do RP my soq. I try to stop in off and on between working on B/C work and commissions.

Why do you feel you should get a basket/be picked as co-owner for a foal?: I enjoy plotting for my pets, I myself don't like the idea of simply collecting soq to breed them. If I am going to own a soq I am going to try my best to give them a life especially since one of my goals is to try to get all my soq to 100% and have a fair amount of experiences under their belts.

Why do you want this basket?: The family seems like one that would be rather interesting to get involved with plot wise. Story wise they are very developed and and have a solid base to work with already when it comes to plotting with this foal.

Soquili's Name: Zumba Amachi
Name Meaning: "Zumba" referring to the type of dance

Personality of Soquili: He is always understanding of those around him he is very brave and loyal to his cause never seeking to cause harm to those around him. He feels himself the role-model for his other siblings and if they ever came to him in need he would gladly help them with there problems. He finds it a great honor to be the oldest son and a great responsibility he only wishes to do his parents proud. He is very supportive in his actions and he would be there to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Prompt Responce

He was jolted from his sleep with a sudden rush of energy blinking sleepily he yawned but then remembered why he had awoken today was the day! Today was the day he would prove himself to his family and make them proud! He would seek out his second bell proving that he was no longer just a foal he was something more. He wondered what to do now because he had not an idea of where to start. He looked up and saw Ikinya the Undisa and ran over to her lowing his head to a bow and he saw he smiles back. He looked up to her because she knew alot about life and much about this heard she may be small but she was very strong and loving she was like his guardian and he wanted to be like her and Cuauhcoatl strong brave and always helping those who needed it. He turned around again and bounded into the forest wanting to find the key to the lock of his second bell.

After he was well into the forest he remembered he forget to greet his parents he knew they might be angry at him but if he found the key to the second bell he knew they would shower him with affection he wanted to be successful as to show his siblings how it was done. As he went deeper into the forest he made out a figure in the shadows and as he got closer he saw it was Cuauhcoatl he wondered what the leader was doing way out here..to him he more than a leader though he was a protector always keeping his watchful eye on the heard. Zumba made his way around him and kept going deeper into the forest not knowing where he was going but at the same time his heart was pumping and he felt unafraid. This was his first time being alone for an extend period of time but the forest made him feel brave like he could do anything he wanted. Then he saw something ahead a clearing of sorts as he walked forward he saw it was a great temple hidden away deep inside the forest. It was crumbling but it still looked mighty he knew it must of been at some point.

Cautiously he crept forward finding an entrance to the temple debating to go in or stay out. He decided that inside there could be unknown treasures and so he went in little did he know Cuauhcoatl was following him silently in the trees. As he went deeper into the temple his eyes adjusted to the dark and then he saw it some type of wooden chest. He ran over to it nudging it with his nose noticing it needed a key but the hole..it was shaped like a..Bell! He gently lifted his bell and stuck it in the slot and he heard a deep rumble. Then the chest opened to reveal a stunning necklace inlaid with many gems. He stared with awe before retrieving his bell and gently picking up the necklace. Little did he know that now Cuauhcoatl was only mere feet away smiling at him before Turing and vanishing though the exit. Zumba made sure the necklace was secure in his jaws before running off to show the heard what he had found the key to his second bell.

Soquili's Name: Trance Amachi
Name Meaning: Well i like electronic music so i thought since its a type of fast paced music it could reflect her fast paced personality

Personality of Soquili: Trance knows she was a miracle and that she was not expected. She has a very fast paced temper and she always has energy to spare. She looks up to her eldest brother when she needs help she also loves her other siblings. She is very straight forward when she needs help she asks when she does not she pushes others away but she feels very lucky to have been born in such a great heard and she loves her family with her heart no matter if she was meant to be there or not.

Prompt Responce

The sun was high in the sky and it was growing hot. Trance sat and looked up at the sky wondering if any surprises were in hold for her. She felt the urge to stand up and stretch but she knew that would be disrespectful to her eldest brother whom she was with now. She looked at him and sighed wanting to wander off on her own feeling an urge for adventure she had no guardian yet that she knew of she knew her brother had one. She longed to be independent to be able to do things on her own. She loved her siblings and her heard but she had a wild and energetic personality wanting to always be on the move much like her father who she knew roamed and traveled. She sighed and watched the clouds and caught her brother eyes they seemed playful and he nudged her and nodded. She let out a breath of relief and misled at him putting her nose to his before running off into the forest. She was always in awe of mother nature how big the trees were here how nature could overcome anything put in its way.

Then she knew what she was going to do she would search for her second bell that would prove she could be independent she looked down at her first one and nodded determined to find her second. She stared to walk though the forest observing everything that crossed her path. She started to hear the rush of water and knew she was nearing the river she would follow it upstream and hope to find some clues there. She hoped no one was following her but she felt someone watching her and she turned around calling out "Hello..? Is someone there..?" she shrugged and kept walking however she saw something flashing in the river that was not there before carefully she walked to the edge and retrieved..a key? It looked elegant and worth alot she looked around to see if anyone had dropped it but when she saw no one she decided to carry it with her.

She neared the end of the river as she was looking up at a massive waterfall. She was stumped as what to do she walked up to the waterfall and noticed what she never had before there was a path behind it. She braced herself and walked right under the waterfall and what she saw astounded her. In the rock was a key hole and she stared looked at her key and inserted it into the rock. The ground rumbled and the rocks parted to reveal a cave behind the waterfall and there it was..it was her item she thought it was a feather but not just any feather it looked old and very fragile..she touched it with her hoof and then bent down to pick it up in her mouth it tasted horrible but she started to run back to her parents to show them her discovery.

Soquili's Name: Fay
Name Meaning: I was looking for a short name that fit and i stumbled across this one and i really think it fits perfectly

Personality of Soquili: Fay is a dark individual she sees the broken heard as a sign of bad luck. She is slightly twisted and wrong in her mind she is not evil per say she is just lost in her own reality. She would never do anything to harm another and she knows her heard is not evil but because of there looks and her looks she hides her inner beauty and channels out her inner twisted mind for others. Deep inside herself she is not as she seems evil or not she just needs guidance to help overcome herself.

Prompt Responce Prompt 1

It was a dark cloudy day the type that always brought her twisted mind out even further she knew not why she was like that her siblings were cheerful for the most part but her..she was never happy she always complained and kept to herself most of the time. She was watching her siblings with cold eyes as they pestered father while mother looked to have fallen asleep standing again. She sighed and quietly got up from her spot and sneaked into the dark and forbidding forest. She felt at peace in the forest it comforted her like no other could. Her mind was free to wander here she knew she was not evil..she was just lost in the world and needed someone to save her from herself. How could one be this way at such a young age? She knew not but when she saw herself in a puddle she bared her teeth and jumped in the puddle sending the water flying drenching herself at the same time. Was she ashamed of her heatige? She loved her parents and her siblings but she felt being alone was the best way to be. She started to walk deeper into the forest not caring where her feet were leading her.

Suddenly she heard something in the forest it grew darker and she heard the birds squawking flying out of the trees. Her eyes were wide now in fear and horror what could of caused this to happen? She took a few steps back turned and bolted back the way she had came but she ended up tripping over a root and flying forward getting a mouthful of dirt. She lay there dazed before she regained herself and shakily stood up. She looked behind herself to see none other than her sister grinning at her with her stupid expression "Got ya" she ran forward but i let out a cry of anger and tackled her top the ground breathing in her face having lost all control. "You think its funny??Wait till i tell mother and father" i did not even register the horror in her face as i turned and fled back into the forest running to get back to the heard feeling no sorrow for what had happened it could not be controlled.

Why do you want this basket?: I adore the family and there twistedness i really want to be involved with them because i love the plots and i love rping crazy/insane Soq who are not overly evil ones who are just trying to find themselves and there true meanings.

Soquili's Name: Cadence Amachi
Name Meaning: A concluding and usually falling strain, specifically a musical sequence moving to a harmonic close or point of rest and giving the sense of harmonic completion. (Oddly appropriate I think ;3)

Personality of Soquili:

Ever since the day he left his basket behind, Cadence has understood that it was his unspoken duty as the eldest to help his parents look after his three younger siblings. His parents hadn't expected to be blessed with four baskets this time around and despite the rest of the herd and his older siblings trying to assist as much as they could, they were often busy with their own families and the duties that came along with them, this left little time to spare for babysitting. Thus it often fell upon Cadence's shoulders to relieve his parents whenever he noticed his mother beginning to look harassed or when Mecho began edging away from his energetic offspring with a harried and slightly apprehensive look in his golden eyes. At this point Cadence would quietly round up his little brother and two baby sisters and lead them off to play somewhere else for a little while to give his parents a well deserved break. Cadence has a more sober outlook on life than his younger siblings, although he still enjoys playing and goofing off as much as any other foal his age, the responsibility he feels for the safety of his brother and sisters and the chore of looking after them day in and day out has granted him a bit more maturity and he tends to be more perceptive to the emotions and concerns of the adults around him than the others, who often remain blissfully oblivious to anything other than playtime.

Cadence is a very well behaved foal, he listens well to his elders and tries not to stir up too much mischief both to avoid stressing out his parents as well as because he feels the need to set an example as the eldest. Thats not to say that he doesn't get up to a little mischief every once in a while, but he's well practiced at making sure his parents are none the wiser. Cadence often sneaks away from the noisy, musical chaos that is the Amachi household to visit his godparents. He enjoys spending long hours of his free time with Cuauhcoatl, either just quietly enjoying each others company while reading or listening to his godfather tell stories about the world outside and dreaming about the day when he will be old enough to leave home and have exciting adventures of his own. Even though Cadence loves his family dearly, as he grows older he wants nothing more than to be able to shed the responsibility and practical-mindedness he has embraced throughout his foal hood and to go out and experience the world beyond everything that is familiar. The only things holding him back are his youth and guilt that his wanderings would distress his slightly overprotective parents after the kidnapping of his older brother, Cabriole. Its not that he wants to leave his home forever, he just wants to get away from it all and indulge in the wild unfamiliarity of the outside world for a while on his own terms. Achieving his second bell is the first step to Cadence achieving greater independence, thus it is an extremely crucial day for him. It is important to him that he proves to his parents that he is growing up and to find a way to somehow, preferably simultaneously, assure them that he will never forget where his home is; that he will always be able to find his way back to them.

Essentially, Cadence is a leader, mature and perceptive for his age. he is a lot quieter and more reserved than his younger siblings, although not abnormally so. He enjoys spending time alone or studying with Cuauhcoatl, whom he looks up to almost as much as his father, when he gets older he may end up following in his godfathers footsteps as a teacher for the herd. The love of music is an integral part of who he is and how he expresses himself, it will grow to be a lot more so when he is an adult but for now he is consumed by a wanderlust and a thirst for adventure that must be sated before he can move on to other things. (This is essentially fueled by a foalhood spent containing himself, trying to be responsible and looking out for his younger siblings, he needs to get away and rebel a little, and he won't be able to fully let go at home where his 'teenage' antics may distress his family because, in his mind, their welfare and happiness is more important than his own. Also, from what I understand, his mother at least had trouble settling down and he has likely inherited a bit of this.) Once he gets away and runs off all that pent up steam he will happily return to his herd.

(His relationship with his parents and siblings will of course be influenced depending on how their relationships develop, I'm not sure if all his siblings will be as rambunctious as I portrayed them here but the core of his personality and his habits will remain the same regardless)

Prompt Responce

Cadence yawned hugely as the first rays of the rising sun struck his eyelids and signaled the start of the day. For a few minutes he lulled about in sleepy contentment from his place within the cuddly pile of fuzzy bodies a few feet away from his parents, until reality kicked in. Today was the day.His day, today he would venture forth to earn his second bell. It had taken ages to convince his parents that he was ready to make this journey, Too young, they insisted,Maybe next year, they assured him with worried smiles. But Cadence was not to be denied, he wheedled and prodded, poked and protested until they finally gave way, unused to such spirited arguments coming from him. Cadence knew it was because they loved him, they worried for his safety and wellfare and behind all that was the heart deep fear that another of their children would be stolen from them away from the safety of the Yectenehua herd. He understood, and he hated to distress them so, but he needed this. His brother and sisters would leave on their own ventures upon his return, that was the way it worked. Cadence felt his knees tremble a bit, he wished he didn't have to go first, but he was used to it by now. As was his duty, he would lead the rest of his siblings one step closer to adulthood. He only hoped he would make them proud.

Cuauhcoatl would guide and protect him on this journey. He knew that gave his parents comfort, his godfather was large even for an angeni, a force to be reckoned with, Cadence would be safe with him.

Wriggling free from the tangle of hooves and limbs with the ease of practice he bid his parents farewell and trotted off to meet up with his godfather at the edge of the herds lands. Cadence was hard put to contain his eagerness at the adventure before him, but it was tempered by his nervousness and fear of failure. He kept his little chest puffed out and walked in a way that he imagined made him appear confident and capable but in reality it actually made him look as though he had sat in a prickly bush before setting out that morning, eliciting a few smothered giggles and knowing smiles in those who witnessed his departure.
Cadence smiled when he saw Cuauhcoatl waiting for him but he said not a word, simply marching past the huge angeni into the forest, afraid that if he stopped for even a moment he may change his mind and go charging back to the warmth and comfort of his mothers' side.

------

Cadence enjoyed the next few days spent in Cuauhcoatl's company. he had always enjoyed spending time with his godfather but had rarely had the chance to spend time alone with him. Cuauhcoatl taught him about the habits of the animals they saw, the plants and their uses. At night they traded songs for stories before drifting off to sleep. It was a good time for the little foal and a learning experience, he soaked up every lesson with the eagerness and ease of a sponge, but he had yet to learn or find anything that would earn him his second bell.

One dark evening as Cuauhcoatl and Cadence were looking for a place to settle down for the night, they heard a strange snarling sound that instantly brought both of them to a halt. The big angeni swung around, placing himself between Cadence and the noise and Cadence shrunk back, terrified. "What is it?" He murmured to his godfather but the angeni was busy paying attention to their surroundings and didn't hear him. "If I say so, be ready to hide." Cuauhcoatl ordered in a sure voice, he didn't sound frightened, that made the little colt feel better. For what seemed like hours they stood their, eyes and ears straining, in tense silence. The silence was shattered with an ear splitting roar as something leapt from the bushes onto Cuauhcoatl's back. Cadence yelled and darted off into the bushes, sprinting as fast as his spindly legs could carry him away from the creature. Far behind him he heard the faint call of his godfather, Cadence!!!!!

The little foal twisted and turned, leaped over logs and creeks and crashed through bushed until he came to a trembling halt at the base of a gnarled and twisted willow that shaded a grassy area next to a small stream. Gasping and panting for air, Cadence sanl to his knees and gulped down the water with desperation, choking and sputtering at the teeth numbing chill of it. The cold sliced through the panicked haze that had coated his thoughts and realizing at last the terrible mess he was in, Cadence collapsed at the foot of the tree and began to cry. He cried because of his worry for Cuauhcoatl, he cried with terror at the thing that had attacked him, he cried because he was hopelessly lost and didn't know if he would ever see his family again. For a long time he lay there, wallowing in his misery and quite a bit of self loathing, how could he have abandoned Cuauhcoatl like that? He was foolish to think he had been ready for this journey, he should have waited longer like his parents said.

Finally, he was all cried out. Cadence hiccupped a little and shook with exhaustion but as his tears dried he realized that sitting here was doing him no good. Yes, he shouldn't have run, yes, he was alone and frightened, but he had to put all of that aside and work on finding a way to get home. He would not let his parents suffer through losing another son. Struggling to his feet, he wandered over to the tangled roots that buckled the earth at the foot of the great tree, as he worked on a plan. He didn't know which way he had come from but Cuauhcoatl had taught him about how moss only grew on north side of trees and he knew home was to the south west. If only he could get his bearings, he might be able to find his way home.

Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice the shining circle wedged between the tree roots until he stumbled over it, knocking his nose against the tree trunk as he fell. Cadence whirled around angrily to kick the offending object but was caught off guard by its strange appearance. There were a lot of little lines jutted around the face of the disc. he bent down and picked it up between his teeth for a closer look, foremost was a little arrow shaped mechanism that bobbed and whirled with each of his movements, yet it always pointed at the same thing on the object. A little black 'N.' Curious, did that 'N' mean what he thought it meant? He checked it against the tree trunk and smiled, the little arrow was pointing North, regardless of the direction he faced. This was good, just what he needed. Cadence did a little victory dance and smiled up at the heavens as he felt the music in his heart build up to a huge crescendo, he could find his way home, thank the spirits. Then he could get help to find Cuauhcoatl, it was a sobering thought but it gave him the drive to start moving immediately, despite his weariness.

------

It took a couple days for Cadence to find his way back to the Yectenehuah lands even with the object's help but he managed it. As he neared the border he heard shouting and was surprised and relieved to find Cuauhcoatl smiling broadly at him, his older brother Baroque at his side. They had been out looking for him ever since the day before when Cuauhcoatl gave up his solo search and returned to get help. His parents were worried sick of course, but they would be overjoyed to have him back safely.

"However did you find your way back Cadence?" his godfather asked as they walked back to his family home. Cadence showed him the compass and explained what had happened since their separation and how it had led him back safely to the herd. "Its called a compass," Cuauhcoatl explained, "Strange to find it out in the middle of nowhere like that but I'm glad you did."

Cadence agreed and took back the compass gently, it was precious to him, it had brought him back from the brink of disaster. "I guess it'll be a while before mom and dad let me try again for my second bell," he admitted with regret, "It'll probably be a while before they let me out of their sight again as a matter of fact," he amended after a second thought. Cuauhcoatl gave a short bark of laughter, "You won't need to go out on another journey Cadence." He assured the young colt with a smile, Cadence pulled up short and stared at his godfather with wide eyes. "But I-I ran off, I left you alone with that...that thing and got myself lost out in the wilderness. I made everyone worry."

Cuauhcoatl shushed him and draped one of his large wings across Cadence's back, "Yes, you made a few mistakes along the way, but that's what growing up is all about Cadence. You found your way home again, bringing back a useful tool and the even more useful knowledge you gained from this experience. I've never as proud of you as I am after hearing all the obstacles that you overcame the last few days, and all by yourself. I know Melody and Mecho will feel the same."

That evening Cadence was all smiles, he smiled when he was reunited with his parents and siblings, he smiled as his his father proudly tied the new bell in his hair, he smiled when his mother insisted on keeping him by her side for the rest of the festivities, he even smiled when his sisters tackled him for worrying them so and got his new bell all smeared with mud.

He was home, and safe. Most importantly, he was loved. For now, that was all that mattered.

Do you RP?: Yes! I’m a huge roleplayer, both in and out of Soquil. I am constantly coming up with plots and plans for my characters and I spend a lot of time developing each of their unique personalities and quirks to the best of my ability. I enjoy doing self rps along the way because I feel like taking the time to do so for each of my soq really helps me get in touch with the way that the think and their individual worldviews without subjecting anyone else to the walls of text those ventures can end up producing xD.

Example(s) of RP:

A few of my favorites ^-^
Under Lock and Key
An Act of Desperation
Head Trauma
A lily among thorns
You shaped my life with Shadows
A mothers Love
Shadows of the Past
New Beginnings

How active are you in Soquili?: I am on at least a few hours every day, its the first thing I look at when I wake up, the last thing I check before going to sleep and I’m in and out lurking the rest of the day as my schedule permits, being a full time college student with a job (xD). I don’t necessarily spend a lot of time chatting in the main thread, mostly because of the fast pace, but I’m always lurking in the guilds and I try to drop in from time to time to say hello!

Why do you feel you should get a basket/be picked as co-owner for a foal?:
Because I am both active in soquili and a dedicated roleplayer, you can be sure that I will always be available and enthusiastic about family/herd rp and plotting in every stage of life. Even though not all many of my soquili are suited for a position as an elder, I try to put as much thought and development into each of them as if that were my eventual goal (Its more fun that way ^^) which is the sort of dedication that I feel that this basket deserves.

Why do you want this basket?:
Of course some of my desire comes from aesthetics, the coloring is eye catching and I’ve always been a big fan of the Forte/Amachi clan both in story and in appearance. The fact that the parents are both pokesoq is appealing to me as well since I, as well as many other soquili owners, am a huge fan of pokemon and every time I look at them it makes me squeee a little bit on the inside, but thats just a bonus. The main reason that I would love to have this basket is because I love developing and roleplaying new and interesting characters. By winning this basket I wouldn’t just get a new soquili to love, I would be getting all the fascinating family history that comes along with it, which is amazing. The storyline behind this basket is engaging and interesting and all the thought that went into developing it makes me really excited for the chance to become involved too and see how those interactions shape the growth and future of this foal.

Prompt Responce for #2

What is it, what is it?? the foal sang with eager curiosity when she noticed her great uncle Remiel lean in to tell her something. As she sang her wonder to her respected elder, Naemmah trotted around him in a randomly bouncing fashion and only after she’d finished circling him did she hold still to listen to his riddling.

And then when he’d finished his query, her mind swam with his words, thoroughly fascinated. Wow, when I grow up can I talk like that?? the wide-eyed foal asked excitedly. I think there are sleep spells put on me like the one on Mom! she began to answer him in a zealous whisper, clearly not having fully understood his words. That’s why Dad is worried, the whispering carried on. We’re going to be attacked when we fall asleep long enough! Mom and Dad are protecting me, that’s why I don’t fall asleep like Mom, the spells are weak when they hit me. But they’re big spells that hit Mom and Dad first, that’s why they get weak when they hit me. Mom is weak against the spells. I’m still scared so when I fall asleep I’m protected by Mom and Dad. But I’m going to get stronger by going on adventures! That‘s how to get stronger! I don‘t like falling asleep because I can‘t go on adventures to get stronger faster! When I'm stronger I can attack before we get attacked! We have to be safe when we sleep so it‘s hard to attack us! I‘m going to protect Mom and Dad and be strong like them! It‘s true!

Why do you want this basket?: I have one Soq named Mara Jade who I coown with Tygress Dream. Coowning with my good friend is a blast, but I’d also be very happy to befriend, play, and RP in Soquili with another Soq as the sole guardian of Josephine’s and Able‘s daughter. I picked this basket because I though her colors outwardly showed a bit more evidently how it matches the personality I have in mind for her in resembling both her parents but seeming as though she resembles a little more like of her mother.

Thank you for this amazing event and chance to join in the fun of these impressively plotted families! :'D

Prompt Responce Prompt 2

It was a day just like any other her father was off somewhere and her mother was in a deep sleep she sighed watching her other siblings playing with one another. She had always felt left out because she always had the urge to tell them when they did something wrong they had started to avoid her because of that she had no idea why she felt the urge to always do the right thing. She was not alike the others in the family she was content and happy with who she was and she loved her parents and the herd. She sighed and layed down resting her head on her legs closing her eyes for a little nap. Her nap was cut short though she heard someone speaking to her and she looked up to see it was her great uncle. He was looking down at her and he looked quite the warrior towering over her he eyes on hers. "Light in the clouds like father, or sleepy headed like mom. Are you the kind who finds themself tired suddenly like she is, or always wondering and worried like your father? How does this make you feel? I don't expect a huge explanation. . . you are just a child." He spoke his words and then walked off as if to leave her to think about his question till he came back.

She was pondering that question now it stuck her that she really did not have any idea of who she took after..She was thinking for a very long time before she finally came up with her answer. She was not one or the other she was both she took after both of them she sometimes worried about things but other times she felt calm and relaxed it made her feel proud to have such parents and to have been born into the family. She smiled to herself and ran off to find great uncle Remiel to tell him her small explanation of who she knew she was. "I am myself and i am very proud to have been born into this family..i love my mother and my father and i take after both of them..it makes me feel alive and well to know who i am"

Why do you want this basket?: I love the family and i would love to be apart of it same reason as in the other response ^_^

Soquili's Name: Eave
Name Meaning: A different spelling of "Eve" meaning "life"

Personality of Soquili: Eave is a very sweet girl, getting along with everyone and always looking for more acquaintances. That of course only happens when she leaves the side of her papa. Eave has gotten some of her fathers personality issues. She is insecure about herself, always thinking about herself negatively. She stays by her father, knowing that he understands how she feels.
Prompt Responce When Eave wasn't standing at her father's side, she was cautious to be around others. Her Uncle was the only other exception. She knew that he understood her and her instability issues, even at her very young age. He was always invoking thought into her mind, and made her see things she may not otherwise see.

As her uncle spoke, she knew that the conversation could get deep. Eave was a very smart foal, and loved these in depth conversations, even if they were not meant to be that deep.

"Light in the clouds like father, or sleepy headed like mom. Are you the kind who finds themself tired suddenly like she is, or always wondering and worried like your father?" her uncle asked her. Eave prepared her response. "Papa and I are so much alike, Uncle Remiel, so I know how he must feel a lot of times." Eave then began to think more. She wondered what his thoughts were. He already knew that her papa and her were very much alike. She wanted his input.

"How do you handle Papa when he gets into those types of situations?" she asked him. "its hard sometime to help pull him out of those sates of worrisome? Does he come to you for help or advice?" Eave wanted to know how she to could help her Papa even more than she had as a foal.

Why do you want this basket?: This would be my 3rd basket, and I love having more options to RP. I love the looks of the basket, and have already committed myself to this girls personality and ready to RPO with er. I currently have 1 adult and a brand new Foal. My first soq, which I obtained in April, already has 5 or 6 RP's and I am working on a big story plot that includes 3 other soq so far. This shows my dedication to the gifts I have already received and how active I plan to be with the shop and RP's.
