It had been a long day, and Shaman was tired. It was wonderful to have a mate help out for the grunt work especially the heavy lifting. A smile stole across her face as she recalled a funny face Enqueri had made when lifting a heavier than usual stone. Shaman shook her head with a chuckle and a warm feeling went through her as she thought of the home they were building together. Their relationship had taken a serious turn a few months back and even now it still felt like wedded bliss.
The sun half way in the sky as she looked up enjoying the breeze push her curls this way and that. Enqueri was off scouting and chatting with the locals, so she decided to go off to explore as well. The thought of bumping into someone was exciting enough to pump some blood into her veins and awaken her to get moving.

Mini had strayed away from her mother who's company she usually held. very much her mother's daughter her father currently held the place of an idol when it came to artistic talents. She hadn't seen her mate Storm for some time, or her son who had left to travel the lands with a mare he had met but she was getting by just fine, she wasn't weak in the slightest. As long as there was colour in the world her head could be held high and her steps would be full of a bountiful pride.
Today she had been out trying to find new berries and seeds that she could use to create more colours to finish a painting she had been working on. She was disappointed that she couldn't take most of the paintings she made but she took a sort of honour in leaving them behind, feeling they added a bit more to the world, knowing that all who laid eyes on them would have a different concept in mind.

As Shaman walked further out she heard faint sounds of smaller creatures moving about from tree to tree, and water trickling down what she assumed was rocks; waterfalls. She loved those water-things. The sound, the smell, and the calm that came from that peace was quite relaxing. A quiet growl made everything pause for a moment and caused Shaman to laugh at the silly sound that came from her stomach. For some strange reason she was in the mood for berries, yellow ones. The yellow ones tasted divine, all sweet with a hint of honey to them.
Lost in her thoughts for a moment, she almost didn't spot the other mare off to the side. Blinking she took in the others appearance, and was awed a little bit by all the colors on her pelt. And... was.. no it couldn't... but it was half of her body was invisible! How was that possible! How could she survive like that? Shaman was quiet for a few minutes before deciding she would at least try to interact, it was only polite. "Hello there!" Shaman spoke as she moved closer.

Her large paintbrush has been propped up beside a tree while she gathered berries onto a small piece of cloth which she had laid out on the top of a rather flat rock. There were berries of all sorts of colours there. Hearing sounds nearby she lifted her head, her tail giving the slightest flick as she scanned the area for who or what could be nearby. Seeing the gray mare Mini knew no harm would come from her as the mare seemed to give off an air of curiosity.
Stepping away from her work she smiled brightly at the other, "Hello! What brings you out here?" She gave a small nod before waiting for an answer. Her hyperness came greatly from her father's side, "My name is Mini Muse! Though you are more than welcome to call me Mini, or.. Muse.. Really either is perfectly fine by me~"

Shaman found an answering smile cross her face from the other enthusiastic greeting. Moving closer she answered the question thrown at her with gusto. "Hello! Its nice to meet someone so friendly! Originally I was-er well still am- hungry. I wasn't expecting to run into anyone!" She paused before continuing. "It's nice to meet you Mini Muse! I think I will call you Mini if you dont mind. I am Shaman you can call me... well Shaman." She laughed not coming up with a nickname for herself. Though her mate did call her 'Chief' all the time, but that was a special name between the two. " Anyways, I was searching for some berries to eat. What's that in your mouth? Are you a traveler or do you live around these parts? You have such lovely colors on your pelt, like some of the flowers I've seen around on one of my walks. Did you know Isaac Newton made a study of color starting at the age of 23 in 1666 and developed the useful Newton color circle which gives insight about complementary colors and additive color mixing. He realized that some colors (magenta, purple) could not be produced as spectral colors. One of his contributions was the idea that white light is light containing all wavelengths of the visible spectrum. He demonstrated this fact with experiments on the dispersion of light in glass prisms." She paused to take a breath in her what Enqueri called 'teacher voice'.
" So yeah. What brings you around here?" Shaman smiled and hoped her wordiness didn't scare off a friend potential. Sometimes her nerdiness just slipped out, but that was just the way she was and she wasn't going to change for anyone. "You interested in searching for a mid-day meal with me? "

"Shaman? That is a very mystical sort of name. Like the position somebody can hold in a religion. Shaman are said to be very special people." Giving a small nod her tail wiggled behind her. "Mini is perfectly fine! As for what I'm doing out here I'm a painter. I come from a line of Soq with dark pelts and bright colour on them.. It's like that bit of light that shines through the darkest of nights my mother likes to say. Anyways, I was out here looking for some berries and seeds that I could use to make more colours or simply crate new ones to do more work on a painting I started a few days ago." Her jaw however dropped at the knowledge that came from the gray mare. Sher hadn't the slightest idea as to who this Isaac Newton person was but he obviously sounded like an interesting person if he went about studying colour in that much detail.
She was a bit wide eyed at the over flow of knowledge, she had never even considered to look at colours in that respect before, she couldn't even ever recall looking at colours beyond how they looked with one another. "A mid-day meal? I think that sounds like a lovely idea. I could use a break from my search to actually eat something."

"Yup!" She smiled happily before nodding her head in agreement. "In a way I do hold a high position to someones life. My Enqueri, he is my mate and sometimes his senses; taste, touch, sound,etc. get out of whack. My job is to help him improve upon those little uses so he is not zoning out on one sense too long. Infact that is how we first met, he was zoned out on what he later told me sight." Shaman was a rambler that she was but that was what made her her.
"Mini it is then! Oh! A painter!" Shaman gasped out in excitement, she had met one of these types before a long time ago well they were working a project. "Oh thats a lovely saying and it sounds like your mother is one interesting female!"
Shaman watched for a moment as the other female facial expression came off as overwhelmed and nearly giggled as it reminded her of her mate when she babbled on. She honestly thought he just liked to hear her talk and she kept forgetting not everyone was like that. "Great! Sounds like a plan then and maybe while we search for something to munch upon we will come across these berries as well as seeds for your painting. Is there anything in particular you feel like eating? Or do you have a place in mind? " She winked cheekily. "Or shall we let our hooves take us to where ever they stop aka just walk around?"

Mini couldn't help herself but give a bit of a giggle hearing about Shaman's mate. "Your mate sounds like a bit of a silly person with how he zones out like that. My mate is a big tough silly head who doesn't seem to smile too often but.. It's one of those things that, they don't need to smile for you to know they are happy, you can feel it. And they stay by your side when you need them." She gave a nod at fond memories of her own mate as the two mares made off in search of food. "I wish you and your mate many many children." Mini teased, her tail giving a wag.
"Mother is a very interesting person. I still travel alongside her when I'm not traveling with my mate. She is a very sweet mare." Her tail gave a small wiggle as she herself seemed to ramble in between Shaman's own ramblings, Mini tended to do enough talking for both herself and her mate but he didn't seem to mind it most often. "I think the best option would be to let our hooves take us where they so desire to! Sometimes that tends to lead to the most interesting discoveries."
