Never received a cert for him from the WoW event, poor neglected guy. I should just cert him myself. For once Siegfried had decided to take the time to relax and rest. It wasn't often that he decided to do so as he felt the constant need to search for something that he couldn't exactly put his finger on. None the less he searched for it telling himself he would know what it was when he found it. It had been some time since his last big adventure and he could feel the need rising to have something of interest happen again. Not knowing what could spring up however he decided to leave such a thing to chance and see what the day would bring.
Perched by the side of a river he gazed out into the water, his ears flicking to the sounds and the cool wind that blew over the open area. A lovely day was in store if that was how the weather continued.

She was breathing hard, lungs aching with every intake of oxygen. The satchel hanging around her neck bounced up and down, its contents quietly jingling. Tyler was running at a full-speed gallop, legs flying over the ground. She was sure that she had lost them by now, but one could never be too careful. And by "them," she meant the two stallions she had just stolen from. It hadn't really been a true con, per say, but more of a dash-and-grab. The stallions had bullied some youngster out his trinkets, and the colt's parents were paying quite nicely for Tyler to steal them back. Normally she didn't involve herself in these kinds of disputes, but when the pay was good Tyler would do anything. Except for murder. She lacked the strength and size to truly harm another Soquili. Tyler was more of a runner. She was naturally fast and possessed wonderful stamina, built up from the many times she had been forced to flee the scene of her crimes. Like now, for example. The stallions had not been happy to have their stolen goods taken back. They had given chase, but Tyler was quite sure that she had outrun them. At least, she hoped that she had. The two were quite burly, and if they had no qualms about stealing from young colts then they would definitely have no problem beating her up. After zigzagging through the trees to mess up her trail (if they chose to track her) Tyler splashed into a river. It wasn't too deep, but Tyler was short and was forced to swim. She was horrible at swimming and though she would never admit it to anyone, Tyler was quite scared of large bodies of water. But she needed to hide her tracks, and the river was small enough to only make her feel nervous. At last, the mare couldn't stand being in the chilly water any longer. She hopped out onto some small rocks, careful not to leave any hoof prints in the mud. Tyler took a great leap and landed into the plush grass. She couldn't hear the stallions at all, and was content to reduce her pace to a walk. It wasn't as if she could run anyways. The long sprint and swim had tuckered her out quite a bit. She wanted to find some shady meadow and take a nap. Tyler followed the river towards what looked like a large clearing. Though she couldn't quite see it yet, she was sure it would be perfect for a quick rest. As she stepped out of the trees, however, the mare's muscles tensed once more, ready to dash off. There was another Soquili in the large meadow, dressed in shiny armour. Tyler didn't think he would attack, but if the stallion was a knight (as his attire suggested) then he might not appreciated someone from her line of work. Then again, she didn't have to tell him that she was a criminal, now did she? Tyler took a few more tentative steps into the clearing. Her legs trembled slightly with every step. She was taking a huge gamble by doing this. The mare was so exhausted; she wasn't sure if she could outrun the stallion if he proved to be violent. Then again, Tyler was a big fan of games and gambles. "This uh..." Tyler cleared her throat. "This clearing isn't taken, is it? She felt slightly silly for asking. The clearing was big enough for a small family herd to graze in. Still, who could say if the stranger was territorial or not? Knowledge was power, and to gain knowledge, one must ask questions. ((What? Really? Just do it then. lol))

Siegfried had since zoned out in a sense. His yes closed as the reflection of light off his old armor gave it a glistening appearance where he lay by the river. He hadn't expected company, especially company which would pay him the light of day. This however was something he shouldn't have doubted as somebody always stopped him to at least question what he wore over his body. Some laughed at the idea of armor and being a knight where as others found it utterly interesting. There were of course those who had no opinion however thought he was odd for believing the things he did and leading his life to waste like that.
Laying where he was he had heard footsteps come up behind him, his ears well trained in being aware of your surroundings at all times despite ones condition. Ears perked high to the concept of a visitor Siegfried slowly turned his head, his eyes opening as he gazed in the direction of the new face. "Taken..? Why now. That is a bit of an odd question. I am merely a traveler. This area is not mine to claim as.. I hold no intention of remaining here for very long. You are more than welcome to make yourself at home young lady." A faint smile on his lips he gave his head a faint nod before his eyes turned to stare back out into the water for a moment, "You do seem to be exhausted."

Tyler was at first relieved, then slightly uncomfortable. She wasn't used to being treated with chivalry. Young lady? Tyler couldn't ever remember a time when she had been addressed as so. Nevertheless, the stallion wasn't claiming the territory, nor did he seem unfriendly. She could finally relax. The mare gave a small, sheepish smile to the stallion at his exhaustion comment. Normally, she was quite good at hiding any weaknesses she had. I her line of work, there was no room for weakness. You had to remain strong at all times. If even this stranger could see how she tired she was, then Tyler must look like an absolute mess. The mare staggered over to the edge of the river and began to drink deeply. Her throat had been caked with dust and dirt from her long run. It felt good to both clean out her mouth and to rehydrate. After she had quenched her thirst, Tyler collapsed onto the ground near the knight. She kept herself at a polite distance suitable for two strangers, but close enough to be able to make small talk. The mare adjusted her legs into a more comfortable position. She was going to need to rest for a while, might as well get comfortable. "I am exhausted." She lipped at some of the grass around her, trying to find some sweet clover. "I was running a long time before I got here." Tyler craned her neck to grab onto the satchel around her neck. After a few tries she managed to grab a corner and pulled it forward. With some maneuvering of her neck, Tyler slipped the satchel off. The jewelery inside gave soft jingling noises as the satchel fell to the ground. "You said you were a traveler?" She asked, determined to keep the conversation away from herself.

He kept himself in the position he originally was on the ground, not only because he wanted to remain unthreatening to the mare but because he was comfortable and enjoying a few moments of relaxation for the first time in awhile.
While the mare moved over to the water Siegfried gave a bit of a yawn and shoot out his mane, his head turning to watch the mare when she moved closer to him. He watched her closely, not exactly sure what to expect from her even if she didn't seem to pose any form of a threat. "Running for a long time? I would ask from what but I do not wish to pry into the life of another unless they are willing to tell me. However in the past I have needed no explanation to keep the company of somebody who is trying to get away." He had recalled a mare he had helped protect her baskets, the mare hadn't even remembered what it was exactly she was fleeing from.
He gave his ears a faint flick before he went about responding to the question, "Yes. I am an old soul, one who chooses to wonder the lands in search of something unknown. It seems to get me sidetracked more often then not though."

Tyler raised an eyebrow. Damn this guy talked proper! She was now convinced that the stallion was a knight, though the armour had been proof enough. His excessive politeness was a sign of a life of discipline and most likely heavy training. Though she didn't want this goody-good knowing she was a criminal, it would certainly be beneficial to have him on her side if the two thugs she had been running from found her in the glen. "Ah, don't worry about it. I had two bullies chasing me, but I shook 'em off." Her short tail flicked away an annoying fly. "It looks like we'll be sharing this meadow for a while, so I suppose we should know each other's names, right? I'm Tyler." In her youth, she had been embarrassed to have such a manly name. But now Tyler shunned the stereotype of the feminine, fragile mare, and her name was certainly helpful in doing so. Plus is gave her the element of surprise. No one expected a small, dainty little mare to appear when they had been asking about a toughened con artist named Tyler. She like surprises. It kept others guessing, and allowed her to stay one step ahead. The mare took a moment to further examine the stallion. Despite what he had just said, he didn't look all that old to her. Then again, Tyler was still young. No longer a teenager, but certainly not quite yet into her prime. It was rude to ask someone's age (especially if that person in question was a mare) and the stallion wasn't doing too much to pry into her life. Tyler decided that she could return that courtesy. Or at least, ask the question subtly. "Old? You don't look all that old to me. But who knows what that armour of yours is hiding." She smiled. "How long have you been traveling? Days, months, years?"

"Two bullies were chasing you?" He would have pressed her as to what a small mare could have done to annoy two stallions into hunting her down like that but he knew these days that with some it didn't take very much to do so, especially given some of the more violent breed of soquili out there. He gave a small nod of his head however when the mare simply stated that they would be sharing the meadow and that knowing one another names would be a good thing. "Tyler? I must say that is a very strong name for a young lady. And by how hard you seem to be able to push yourself with running from those two thugs you do a very good job of living up to it. My name is Siegfried."
He swore he could pick up the doubt in the young mare when he looked to her hearing the question of travel and the remark of not looking too old. The comment had a smile spreading across Siegfried's face and a light chuckle escaping him. "I am rather glad that I don't look my age. Many years ago I was a strong and noble knight. Now a days I tend to think of myself as a knight without a cause. I have been traveling for years now, coming into this area some time ago I have had my fair share of run ins with others."

Tyler gave a small smile at the compliment. It had been a while since anyone had said anything nice about her. Other than the usual 'Good Job' or 'Excellent Work.' It wasn't that she needed compliments to keep herself happy, but it was nice to get one every once and a while. This stallion certainly knew how to charm a lady. Not that she was much of a lady, however. Ah, she had been right. The stallion was a knight. Or had been. Had he retired? No, he had said something about a cause. Tyler had heard something like that from other people before. Finding meaning to one's life, or some weird spiritual mumbo-jumbo similar to it. Tyler didn't believe in that sort of thing. Who needed that stuff, anyways? You didn't need a meaning to your life to survive. It wasn't the key to ultimate happiness or whatever. Right? Besides, Tyler already had plenty to focus on. She was too busy to go searching for a greater purpose. "Not that I need one. Because no one does." She though quickly, almost worried that someone could read her thoughts. Tyler mentally shook herself. Being around this goody-good was doing weird things to her head. Next thing she knew, she would be off saving orphans and finding true love. Besides, true love didn't even exist. Right? Right. Right. Tyler gave a frustrated snort and shook her head quickly. Obviously she was suffering from fatigue or heat exhaustion, and it was messing with her brain. Only possible explanation. Tyler had a new thought come into her head. Though she had heard about knights before, she had never actually met one. She wasn't quit sure about what they did, or how they did it. Above all things, Tyler was curious. And this Siegfried seemed willing enough to share. "What did you do as a knight? How did become one? Where did you live before here?" She blurted her questions out at once. She was a listener, and when someone was giving out information you didn't ask questions until the end. This wasn't valuable information, per say, but Tyler did love a good story.
