Name: Shaman Toki of the Family Clan Srrelliz Race: Feral Drakein Gender: Male Clan: Kiandri Path: Civilian -- Shaman Age:189 Years old Speech code:#8C400D
Description:An old cranky Kiandri Drakein, he's seen his fair share of battles and has rents in his wings and scars on his scales. One of his horns is broken and a battle took his sight, leaving only a pale yellow orb that gazes out sightlessly with a scar crossing both eyes. His scales match the desert with browns and gold hues that darken on the wing membranes and on his frills. A rare mutation in his family line caused him to grow frills, and he used to be quite vain about them until the battle that took his sight. His age has affected him only slightly. His muscles are no longer rock hard, but they still retain most of his youth's strength. His skin is slightly saggy in some places, showing where he has lost mass due to his age... plus his bones ache on chilly mornings.
Personality: Shaman: He has a tendency to listen and talk calmly to all. He always sticks his snout into problems that aren't his and tries to help those involved. He loves to give off a mystical vibe and seem unperturbed by anything. He will protect children, any child of any race, at any cost. Children are treasures to him and he would do his best go guide and help them.
Cranky at times: He loves his clan, but hides it behind a crotchety facade. Though in the mornings, the chill does make his bones ache and the cranky act is no longer an act! Incoming storms make him ache as well.
Some-what Serious: As shaman, his priority is his clan's health and spiritual well-being and he takes his job seriously. If there is a problem, he'll do his darned best to fix it! He prefers to try and fix it himself, but he knows his limits and will ask for help if he knows he can't do it himself. What matters isn't his pride,but the safety and health of his clan. Those who are frivolous and constantly shirk their duties infuriate him.
He has little patience for fools. He knows that everyone is a foll at one point or another, but if you continuously don't learn from your mistakes then he'll get angry with you. There's only so much stupidity he can stand. "Apparently you're a loss cause and only fit for small simple tasks that match your limited intelligence" or " Learn or you'll go no where and end up as bones in the desert" are some of his favorite lines to snap at idiots.
Snarky: Loves to burst arrogant people's bubbles with well placed words and mockery. Arrogance and silliness irritate him. Especially since he knows from experience that they can lead to downfalls and that the downfall doesn't always effect only you, it can splash onto those around you to.
Dry humor: He finds many things funny that others don't. Seeing idiots and silly people get whats coming to them amuses him. His age and experience means stuff that people see as serious and important to him is silly and a small thing.
Loyal and honorable: If he gives his word, he'll stick by it through thick and thin. He doesn't give oaths freely to non clan members, but to those few who impress him or he see's as worthy he will never break his word. He'll do most anything for his clan, unless it seems wrong and dishonorable.

Toki's Past
Once a brash and stupid young Khehora, he loved to challenge any warrior; Dragon, Khehora, or Magescian. It was in a battle against an Orderite Spear-man that he lost his sight. The blade cut his eyes, and while he managed to kill the Orderite, his wounds convinced him that he was now going to be a burden upon his beloved clan. After he managed to stumble back blindly to his clan (he heard the sounds on the wind and was able to follow it home), the old shaman, Kralira, nursed him back to health, and it was in her cave that he began to learn that being blind was not such a bad thing. Instead of being blinded by what he saw, he learned to hear and sense what others would hide; their feelings, thoughts, and problems. He began to see that all his life he'd done nothing but hurt things and people, and he wanted to change that. He decided to go through shaman training and help his tribe.
That was many decades ago, and today Toki is the soul and heart of his tribe. His crotchety attitude and his rough ways are a disguise for the tender and soft heart that he has. He gives out advice, comfort, and insults on one breath, though God's save the idiot who does something stupid near him! He is the one the young warriors go to when they need to confess, get advice, or release their pent up feelings with out hurting someone or embarrassing them selves. He is also, surprisingly, the one the females will talk to about heartbreak and problems that aren't of a feminine nature. He is often the giver of sharp advice that may hurt to hear, but needs saying. While at first his blindness made his tribe doubt him, not they say that even blind, he sees more than others.
While he has heard of Khehorain (his own clan was sired by one) he feels no need to strive for this pinnacle of power. He has been able to meet most problems with his own magic and mind, though he has called on others for help when he's needed it. He knows that to garner power for the ritual, you need dragon orbs, and he dislikes senseless killing (ie killing dragons for their orbs) and doesn't want to walk that path to power. Though if, one day, his clan is threatened and he can only protect them be becoming a Drakeinian, than he will do so.

Anodyne has approached him and asked for his help: those trying for Khehorian are not all doing so for good.. many are abusing their power and she needs his (and other cool heads) to help ride heard and keep their people from hurting others in power grabs. So Toki (after overhearing words of two in his own clan thinking of becoming Khehorians just to try and take away the Chieftainship from Brassarril) goes uot to attempt the Ritual!
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: Those idiots! War won't give you anything but death and grief! Make peace and let people walk their own paths.
Thoughts on the Dragons: Great hulking stupid bullies. Our world would be so much more better if they just stopped trying to fight and eat everything! Its why they get hunted by the two-leggers and why we must kill them. If only they had brains to match their brawn, then perhaps there'd be a chance for the killing to stop.

Xmas '13 Grams: Blue one: Pesha: male. Toki finds this floating in a pond at a near by Oasis to his clan. Curious as to what it is, he brings it home. He has help taking care of it while it's young, and enjoys this company of the small fellow. Pesha has a soft voice that he hums melodies in, much to Toki's delight. Pesha has been trained by the rest of the clan to help be Toki's eyes.
Candy cane one: Kashi: female. Toki wa given this by the Chief who saw that he was raising another one. Kashi is far more active and less musical that Pesha. She likes to taunt creatures and hunt.

Animals kept as Companions: Burla: trained Arrical male, trained to act as a guard for Toki's clan, though he also plays with the young and knows how to not hurt when play fighting. Also likes to carry Toki around like a mount when Toki's in his Khehorian form.
Pillara (pronounced "pi -yar-a"): trained Feuereches; acts like a hound in that it helps to hunt and guard. Acts as a second set of eyes for Toki as well.
Firroth: "trained" Giogimar; Firroth DeathGlade is a skilled jeweler and decent armorer. He also enjoys tailoring though not as much as working with shinies. He thinks of Toki as his 'master.' And is not going to be willing to share Toki with other Giiogimar should they attempt to come into Toki's Service. (Toki will end up foisting them off on Brass and others)

Then you could try moving while doing so... Moving took away from concentrating on magic, and young ones tend to lose concentration easily..... She probably hasn't been taught anything, he thought to himself. I'll have to start with helping her sense magic so she knows where her power is and then I'll try and see if she'll be able to visualize her power, reach it and then harness it. It's all in the mind after all.... "We are Kiandri, and that sense of the building and clawing is something we all feel. Our power is wild and hard to tame. It's very nature makes it unpredictable and difficult. But that is also an advantage! No one knows where the lightning will actually strike until it's too late!"

Toki lives on Flight Rising! He is a Gaurdian Dragon, old and blind and more focused on the physical side of battle, but still a dangerous shaman! He has a Fae Dragon mate called Sharla, much younger than him, but that doesn't bother her! So far they have adopted quite a bit of children, made some of their own, sired kids by other dragos, and have lots of grand-kids! The Clan is growing emotion_dowant
Toki is an old bind Dragon. Strong in magic and once a very powerful warrior, he has seen his days of great strength and speed go by. He prefers to rest and teach now. Only times of great anger of danger can rouse his ire and he once again becomes the strong Dragon of his youth.
Toki had lived a long and fairly solitary life when he suddenly decided to leave his home clan and live out in the Desert. Being older and blind his family did try to stop him, but stubborn Toki left and met Sharla on his journey to find a new home. A first they were just friends, but Sharla had other plans and eventually seduced Toki. Together they set up a nest and home for their new clan.
