Toki left Samael and gathered up his just waking Fae's to introduced them to the small Arrical cub he and Samael had found and calmed down.
The small furry cub mewed softly and bumped noses with Kashi who sniffed it curiously. "We'll be staying here a bit till it's stronger." He said to the young Fae's. "And I get to learn how to use my two legged form better." He smiled as Kashi returned the nuzzle. At least they didn't mind it! "I wonder how large you will grow?" He asked to himself as he curled up around all three of the youngsters and smiled at their sounds as they started to play.

Eyphah was in a rather grand mood! News had come to him that there had been a tussle between a couple different factions of the two-legs, one that had resulted in blood shed and better yet casualties. He was heading in that direction now, his four clawed feet carrying with him his big cook pot. He meant to fill it with what he referred to as 'Scraps' which was usually made up of his favorite sorts of meat. Today though his approach was a more cautious one. The last time he went scavenging for food he'd been attacked by some crazy wench with pink hair. He'd be more careful this time and not allow such a thing to happen to him a second time. Instead he meant to circle around a bit, make sure that nobody else was around, and then and only then would he move in to collect 'his' meat.
As he flew his eyes spotted something interesting down below, a lone Orakovan, something that mad him both curious and cautious, wondering if that one was going scavenging too. He might need to be more careful then, he didn't want to have to fight for food again though he'd do so to get his claws on the more 'prime cuts' if he had to. How to play this? A sneak attack to get the better of that one? To make sure that he won the battle for dinner this time around? Or, since it was a fellow Orakovan, should he approach in a more amiable manner? What if that one wasn't even after the same thing as Eyphah? It would be pretty low of him to attack in the same manner that thrice damned two-legs woman had done to him after all. Sure, he was Diabi and he did some questionable things in his time, but he wasn't like that woman was!
Fine, he'd go about this the more amiable way to start with but if that one was after 'his' dinner then they would have words! He would have his cook pot filled tonight, damn it! Circling down the Diabi dropped his large, iron cauldron into the sand before landing alongside it, tail lashing as he waited to see how the one before him reacted to his appearance before he said anything one way or the other.

Orpheus Solon Eyphah will know Toki has sent out magic and may get a tiny tiny shock, but nothing hostile. It's his Khehora attack/ability. Let's his "see" the outline of anything his static field covers. Toki lifted his head and sniffed the air. He smelled a powerful... diabi? He waited as he felt the other's magic get closer and shifted so he was sitting more upright, though he kept his tail curled about the arrical cub and his Fae dragons. "Good evening," he rumbled as he heard the other land. What was that thud he'd heard hit the sand? He could only sense the Khehora.... He summoned up his magic to send out his static field: the small sparks quickly, invisibly, scattered out and told him it was metal. Some large empty metal object. Interesting.... This new skill he'd refined was certainly useful! Now he could actually find things easier!

Eyphah gave a slight shiver as an electrical current went through him. He blinked a couple times then gave the one before him a once over. It didn't seem as though he were going to attack, not given the cheerful greeting, but he had done something. Was he testing him? Baiting him? He couldn't quite say but decided not to worry about that right this moment. He didn't think that he was dangerous but he supposed that he'd see soon enough. Sitting down next to the heavy metal cauldron he gave the other guy a once over. He was an odd one, traveling with some rather small and weird looking critters.
They were the sort of thing that he would stuff into his cook pot if he'd gotten his claws on them, but this guy seemed to be... friends with them? Weird, he could never fathom the idea of being friends with snack food. Giving a flick of his tail the Diabi said, "Good evening." He said, looking them over a moment, then asked, "On a walk?" Best that he knew what where this one was heading, to make sure that he wasn't after the same stuff that he was. Was he the sort to go after something tasty and easily picked up like Eyphah was doing? Hard to tell if he was the sort but he wasn't going to out right ask if he was scavenging, not when there were those who frowned upon such things. If this one wasn't after what he was after then they would part ways, easy as that. Now if the Kiandri was after what he was after then they might have problems... unless of course the buffet was a large one.

Toki smiled and shook his head as he gently pushed the arrical cub back down from his haunches where it'd been climbing. "Actually, I was trying to learn how to walk in my two legged form when I ran into this cub. Haven't gotten much practice in..." He paused.. this one had the same... scent? Power signiture? Something at least, that both Samael and Anodyne seemed to have. Perhaps he was a fellow Khehorian too?
"Are you a Khehorian too? Your magical scent makes me think that.. but you could just be a very powerful Orakovan." He said with a grin, hoping that this new one was a Khehorian so he could get some help getting used to his two legs... it was far too embarrassing asking Samael for help after all! The whole reason he was here in the Terra Expanse was to avoid looking like a fool while he learned! Shamans had reputations they had to keep up after all... "Ah, forgive my rudeness. I'm Toki, shaman of the Srrelliz clan."

"Your two-legged form?" He asked, giving a bit of a grin as he realized what the other was revealing to him. So the guy was Khehorian too? That was interesting, the first time that he'd found someone who was like him in that aspect that was just a random stranger. Well now, this was far more interesting then he'd expected and made him realize that dinner could wait. Not as though such battlefields were cleaned up straight away, he'd have a chance to get at them later. For the moment he felt that he would benefit more if he were to spend a bit of time with this one. Not as though he got to spend a lot of time with this sort after all, he might get as much from this meeting as the one needing to learn to walk after all.
A rather delighted sort of smile appeared on his face before he said, "I am both Khehorian as well as a powerful Orakovan." He was as always an arrogant creature, the sort that was only too pleased with what this particular sort had said about him. He was liking this guy more and more as time went on he thought to himself before he rolled his cauldron over, then shifted his form so that he could sit down on it, "Toki, then. My name is Eyphah. If you want I suppose I can help you out a bit with the whole walking thing before I head on my way to dinner." Toki wouldn't be the first person that he had helped in the past, he'd also helped and trained Tallulah after all, and he'd help out anyone else that needed him provided that their need was a genuine one. This shaman seemed to be the sort that he wouldn't mind helping so long as he didn't interfere later with dinner.
Giving a pleased smile he said, "So! Let's see it, your Khehorian self." He told him, wanting to see more of him. He had to be a rather powerful guy as well, huh? A battler of some sort? Kiandri from the feel of his magic earlier and a shaman, whatever that was.

This one was a nice person, a bit arrogant from his tone, but that was to be expected right? But he was willing to put off dinner for hims so a decent person none the less. Toki obliged the other, shifting into his newer form. It still felt odd, and still made his bones ache. He wondered what he looked like to others, he knew he still had his frills, horns, tail, wings, and had added some sort of soft hair on his head which was more rounded and flatter, and a two legged shape... but that was all and he couldn't help but be curious about the actual look and color. He shivered, this body had thinner scales and didn't maintain heat too well, so he sent static over his body to warm it up a bit. From where he now sat on the ground, he looked over at where Eyphah sat. He must have changed too.. the scent was less.. dragon like? I shall have to remember this scent, other Khehora should smell like it right? "I can balance on the two legs... standing up and walking is where the difficulties come in," he said dryly as his Arrical cub clambered into his lap again demanding pets.

Eyphah gave Toki a once over then gave a little grin. He looked a lot better then he was expecting given that he looked a bit on the older side as far as Khehora went. This was a pleasant surprise given he was expecting something gnarled, wrinkled, and distasteful. At least he wasn't so bad even though he was older then Eyphah was himself. Giving a smile he leaned forward slightly, resting his arms on his lap, watching the other closely.
"It is a rather awkward form at first but after you get used to it you will find there is so much more that you can do as Khehorian that was impossible when you are Khehora. I think the best thing is these hands." He lifted his up to look at them, flexing them a bit, before continuing, "I can cook the most amazing masterpieces these days and use utensils that I... obtained from some two-legs." Obtained, stole while stealing various other things out of a caravan, same thing he thought to himself before he pushed up to his feet, "Come on, hold out your hands and I will see about getting you up on your feet. Best to practice."
Looking down at the Arrical he snapped his finger at it, "You, snack, scoot off his lap or he will never be able to learn." He told the creature, finding himself curious for a moment what one of those things might taste like. Best that he didn't ask though, not wanting to insult his fellow Khehorian.

Toki smiled as he listened to Eyphah. "It seems that most Khehora are quite enthusiastic about this cooking... one of my clan wouldn't shut up about it after she returned from exploring Serenia." He said wryly as he shifted his cub to the side, much to the little ones disgruntlement. "I have noticed that these hands are very useful." He held out his hands and tried not to sigh. This was going to be embarrassing... an old man his age learning how to walk... But it had to be done, and better to learn with a stranger. Eyphah calling it snack made him smile. He gripped the hands offered to him and pulled himself to his feet, wavering a little till his tail managed to balance him a little.

"Now I am not saying that raw food is bad, I am still more then happy to indulge in such a thing, but cooking is quite grand too. Especially making up stuff in my stew pot, I bring it everywhere with me." There was nothing better then tossing various ingredients into it and waiting for it to become stew. The smell alone could set his stomach to grumbling, it was a bit like torture at times when he was really hungry but since he ate alone a lot there was little stopping him from sticking his hand into the pot to fish out tasty bits from the cooking stew. He was draw away from his thoughts as the other Khehorian held his hands out to Eyphah, "Excellent!" He said, reaching out to take the other male's hands, letting him get himself up on his feet, "Don't worry, I am right here... and I am the only one that I am aware of for some distance so if you tip over nobody else will see it." Expect for the critter following the older Khehorian about but that was neither here nor there. It meant that nobody else would see him being so nice either. Normally he was only nice to little whelps but for some reason this one appealed the nice part of him that he kept hidden deep down. He found that desire to help him compound itself when he saw how wobbly he seemed on his new legs. It was a strange sight to be sure, which had him rather curious about something. "What caused you to wait so long to go after the power of a Khehorian?" Eyphah had been too eager to get his claws on the power himself, going out of his way to hunt down every dragons he could, collecting their orbs, eager to become Khehorian. This guy though, something made him wait... and he couldn't help but to be curious as to what it might be.

"Hrm... I saw no need for it to be honest. I've lived a long life, had my fair share of fights, and am the Shaman of my tribe. There is no one in my tribe who can match me in knowledge of healing or magic... so why should I bother to get more power?" He sighed; as nice as the new form was, he liked his old way of life. When you got to his age you got used to doing things and change wasn't the easiest. "But it had to be done. the youngsters of my tribe are attempting the ritual... and there would be an imbalance if I was not a Khehorian. One must be perceived as stronger than the young idiots if one is to get them to listen without fighting all the time. Some young fools tried to take the chieftainship away from my friend merely because they thought that the new power gave them that right." He groused as he took a few halting steps, claws still griping the other's arm for extra balance.

Eyphah gave a sort of humming sound, mulling over what it was that the other Khehorian was saying. Why bother to get more power? It was a question that just made no sense for the Diabi. He gave a shake of his head before he said, "Well, that was never something that I have thought about. Power, it's something I have always wanted in bulk... well, personal power at least. I can't say I have any desire to take over my mother's place in our clan or anything." That was a bit too much for him at this point in his life, to have to take care of an entire clan, little whelps included. One day, perhaps, but not now. Giving a grin when he watched the older Khehorian take a couple wobbly steps he forgot all about his previous thoughts and then took a couple steps back, leading the other man along, "You're walking like a little Hastar at the moment but we will get it figured out, you just need a bit of practice. Hold onto me for as long as you need." He was actually kind of cute for an older guy, it was what made this so enjoyable for Eyphah. He might not normally take time out of his day for something like this but for this guy he didn't mind at all.

Orpheus Solon grrel and eyphah should meet soon. Toki sighed and nodded as he heard the other's reason. "That's what most do it for. The power." Of course, when one was young one did not always realize that power would come with time.. and that even power alone wasn't enough. You needed the skills to use it effectively and efficiently. Bludgeoning and killing things with sheer power worked.. until you ran out of power. He snorted and twitched his tail. "I feel like an orakoi again. All tail and feet and no stability." He said with a smile as he ran a finger along his chin and felt the coarse hair. How odd... hair on his face... Yet another knew thing he was still not used too. "But," he took a few wobbly steps away from Eyphah, "I think I'm getting the hang of it. Though I won't be walking like this around the clan anytime soon." he chuckled wryly. " A shaman's got a reputation to keep! A few more night time practices and I should be fine." He turned his face towards the Diabi. "My clan lives near by, so feel free to drop by if you wish. Ask any of the Khehoras around here for Toki and they should know where I am." He shifted back to his old form and sighed with relief. "I should return home for tonight at least. It was a pleasure meeting you Eyphah."

robot kitten Thanks for this RP, it was a fun one. ^_^ Eyphah didn't mind being lumped with the others that had sought out the ability to become Khehorian for the power it provided. Why lie? It's why he did it and he was pleased with the power and abilities that had come along with the power that he had been granted. It was well worth the sacrifice of his horde of dragon orbs, though he did miss them at times. Ah well, not as though they couldn't be replaced he thought to himself before he set to watching the older Khehorian as he tried to take a few steps on his own. Wobbly still but he felt that he was getting better at it. "Heh, yeah, you might want to wait until you can run circles around them. That is what I did myself. Nobody wants to look foolish in front of those they're trying to impress after all, as such a lot of practice is always required." He'd been like that when he was little, practicing everything he'd learned in private before showing his Gaili mother what he was capable of. Giving a smile as he was invited to visit he gave a grin, "I will extend the same invitation then, my mother leads our clan in Eowyn as well, a little further West though. You can drop by whenever you like though... I tend to wander." He couldn't promise he'd be around but maybe the guy would get lucky and catch him or Tallulah when he visited? If not he could always chat with his mother. Allowing himself to return to his Khehora form as well, something that he felt was easily to fly in, he said, "It's been interesting, let's see how much better you are at walking next time we cross paths." He said, turning to flip his cauldron right side up, took hold of it, and soon enough he was taking to the air again. That had been a fun distraction but he really should get back to what he'd been doing before spotting the older guy.
