Toki had set out in the early morning to go try his hand at Taming a Lirkrept again. Catching would be pretty easy he thought, I’ll just repeat what I did last time! SO he stalked bout into the cool morning air and sniffed. It’ll be a scorcher today, he thought as he tracked the scent of Lirkrept to its source feeling the hot sun warming his back.
He walked towards the nest that he’d attacked last time, but this time the Lirkrepts kept away. They still shrieked and flew about, but now they were out of his reach. Apparently even beasts like these can learn, Toki grumbled. So why is it that Kienlings and Keindreds have such a hard time of it? Flaring his wings, he decided to take to the air to catch on of the fast flying Lirkrepts. He flew up and began to chase one, but it had a much better maneuverability and speed then the blind old Drakein, and lead Toki on a merry chase. Getting a little irritated, Toki let loose a small bolt of electricity in the direction he sensed this prey. Hoping that it would hit and only stun, Toki sighed when he heard the startled squeals that indicated he’d missed. Hurrming to himself he went back to the nest and circled it. Ignoring the increasingly shrill calls of the Lirkrepts, he flew slowly about them like a vulture. Maybe if I tried shocking all of them I’d get one alive… He chuckled at the thought. No, mass killing would do him no good, he only needed one alive. Covering himself in his power, his scales were covered in flickering and crackling electricity. Toki then brought his wings in close and dived at the Lirkrepts, straight into the mass of them fluttering about their nest. He lashed his tail and when he felt it impact, quickly wrapped it about the Lirkrept. His armor deflected any of the Lirkrepts attacks while stunning the poor captured one. He’d caught his pet!
