Toki's Stats: Khehorian Civilian. Static Field: Sends out small un-felt charges of electricity into the air in a spherical shape. Maybe stretched and lengthened with concentration and time. Grants the user the ability to 'feel' the shape of the ground and anything that is within the area. The user may, with additional concentration and power, cause the static charges to strengthen and shock any one thing within the area. This knocks that creature unconscious. May be used in step 1 of the Taming Ritual to aid in capture +20 to your roll. If used in combat or a hunt, grants a +5 to a Battler Ally's Die to hit. Rock Mara: Any Higher stages and LUK's just need a 11-100 and gain 25 EXP Metal Mara: If you have a LUK of 31 to 41 or are an Master Civi: Win is a 41-100 EXP gained: 25 Dice:Metal Mara's:Wins: 57, 62, Losses: 37, 8 Rock Mara's:22, 74, 28, 28, 29 = All wins!Imoogi wins against the one's I lost to so it's a group win vs all 9!

robot kitten Imoogi is ready to meet with Toki! Imoogi spent the night returning slowly to Taliuma after chasing the Mara down. Carrying their remains back was a pain. He wished he could swim, at least the water would help him carry it instead of being forced to fly with all these rocks on his back. Annoying, thats what it was. When he reached the city it was starting to get light and he was starving. He landed in front of his parents house. His father, being Gali, immediately woke up from the feeling of something large landing outside his home. Imoogi waited until his father emerged before asking “ Got anything to eat? I haven’t eaten anything since noon yesterday. I’m famished.” His father sighed, “You never change do you boy?” “Of course not, why would I. Oh, here is some more Mara stuff, one of them managed to escape though.”“I see, well I’ve been looking over the remains of the others that you smashed earlier. Come in and eat while I tell you about them, not that there is much to tell.” Imoogi ate well and fell asleep as the sun peeked over the horizon. He slept through the leaving of his parents and the whispers of the neighbors. He was awakened in the middle of the afternoon by his stomach. He walked the short distance to the ocean and went hunting. After he had eaten his fill, he went looking for his brothers. They were in the hospital area awake and grouchy. After Imoogi gave them the leftovers from his hunts, and they talked a bit, his brothers went back to sleep and Imoogi went out to the ocean to think. He always had an easier time thinking when he was surrounded only by water. He thought about the information both his parents had given him over the past two days, and he thought about his own experiences with the Mara. He concluded that they were too dangerous. They attacked anyone for apparently no reason. No one was safe and these Mara wouldn’t negotiate. They had to be stopped before they reached those who were not battlers. This meant that Imoogi had to do something he disliked. He would have to go hunting for the sake of killing. There would be no food to be gotten from these hunts. He sighed, it looked like he would have to disappoint his mother. She wanted him to avoid getting involved in war, but Imoogi could only see that war with the Mara was inevitable. They would not avoid harming civilians, and Imoogi was strong enough to defeat them, so he had the duty to do so. “Well the least I can do is inform Mother of my decision. I will be going out on patrols around the city.” Imoogi swam up and returned to Taliuma to speak with his parents. They didn’t want him to go looking for trouble, but he was determined that the Mara would not reach his family again. He told them that he would leave the hunting of Mara when smarter people than him figured out how to end the Mara attacks. He went hunting again in the ocean, swimming around to enjoy the feel of water because he knew it would be awhile before he returned to the ocean. The Mara were creatures of the earth, they did not enter the water. So Imoogi would be forced to spend the next couple of months on the land or in the air. Hopefully there were lots of lakes for him to spend time in, but Eowyn had huge deserts, so the chances for Imoogi to go swimming would be few and far between. Imoogi was still going to do so, but it wouldn’t be fun. Hunting fish one last time, Imoogi rose to the surface and flew off into the cooling air as the last color faded from the sky. Night had fallen and Imoogi was headed inland. In the dark of the night, Imoogi could pretend that he was deep in the ocean and the few lights were glowing fish or plants rather than an indicator of where the ground was. He looked down, spotting the lights in the darkness and memorized their locations. The lights were indicators of where people lived, people who needed to be protected. He also looked for large bodies of water, he just wanted to know where they were so he could go swimming to relax and heal or for a safe sleeping place. He flew until he saw no more Magescian lights. Deciding that he was far enough inland and away from any homes, Imoogi went looking for a lake or oasis to spend the rest of the night in. After a bit of searching, he spotted a small glimmer of moonlight on water. He slowly soared down to the water and settled into it for the rest of the night. The oasis was located a crevice that cut through the dunes. It would be well hidden from those who walked around. Tomorrow he would go hunting both for food and Maras. Fortunately no one seemed to live near to this oasis so his seep should be undisturbed until morning came. word count 864/2700

torybird Finally tagged! Toki just needed a little bit of a push to get going.... Toki was lounging about listening to the sound of the wind on Ayr when he heard the sounds of battle. He would have ignored it since he wanted to sleep, except he also heard the screams of Khehora. He could not leave one of his people to fight alone if he was able to help, so he stood up, shook out the aches from his bones and spread his wings. Flying through the mist, he sent out his static field to quietly probe the land around him, seeking out the area where the sounds came from. His magic hit several strange floating statues. He could feel the earth and metallic power within them, and knew they were dangerous. But, he smiled, not too dangerous. The Ayralaian Khehora fighting below destroyed the rock and metal statutes before he could do anything. As Toki descended he frowned. The magic he sensed did not disperse or flow back into the earth like one would expect. Instead they flew off, almost like they were returning to somewhere. It wasn’t all magic, he could tell that now that he was close, there was something else mixed in. He gave a call as he neared, warning the other of his approach so that nothing… untoward happened. The Ayrala called back, “I can feel ya now, ya come tah halp?” He said ina deep accented voice. Toki landed and gave a nod. “Not that you appeared to need it.” He said in an amused voice. “But… I sensed a strange magic in those.. things. What where they?” He asked curiously as he nosed among the rubble, trying to get a better sense of what they were. “Mara.” Came the reply as the other set to licking his wounds clean. “Least wise that’s-a what them Magescians call em. Funky things is what Ah call em. They hit the ports a few days ago.. been wandering about and attacking everything since then.” Toki looked at him with worry in his eye, “Hit the ports? Where’d they come from? Are the people here alright?” “Nah we’re fine.” The aryala grinned. “We jest vanish into the mist is all. They came from Eowyn Ah heard. Least wise that’s-a what mah clan members say. Why?” Toki lashed his tail in agitation. “My clan’s on Eowyn. Thanks for the information.” He said before taking a leap into the skies. Hit the ports? Attacking everything in sight? That did not bode well… He was worried; would his people be okay? Surely with three Khehorians there they did not need him... but he couldn’t help but worry. You never knew what could happen! He strained his wings, flying as fast as he dared, knowing that he had a long ways to go… hopefully my old bones don’t give out on me now, he thought wryly as he left the misty land behind. He was exhausted when he finally smelled the desert on the winds. His muscles were tired, but he kept them going with small electric pulses of magic. It was delicate work, but his body needed it to cross the ocean in one fast flight. He would need to rest though, recover and let his body heal from the damage of ignoring the pain and not taking things slowly. Luckily he knew where an oasis was. Flying there, a little ways out he sensed a Piesio napping near the waters… oh well, better for me. Perhaps he will watch over me while I rest up, Toki thought as he began to descend. Toki would not be able to keep watch and sleep. Not if he wanted to heal! ((604/2700))

robot kitten doing shorter bits until we get to the fighting smile It was past midnight when a sense of lightning magic woke Imoogi up. Raising his head and searching for the source, Imoogi found it. The source was flying and coming in to land. It reminded him of Grrel but....older? maybe stronger was the better description. That meant that it was probably a Lightning Khehora like Grrel, but stronger. I had better be polite, thought Imoogi, who ever it is might live near here and consider this their territory. Lets see who it is and their attitude. Imoogi moved towards the shallower water, stopping when he could sit and have only his hindquarters under water. He watched as the other Khehora moved down towards the oasis. 979/2700 word count

torybird Feel free to have Imoogi do a ton of fighting while Toki sleeps! I wanted to have Toki fight.. but this seems best since my muse isn't up to huge posts today. Toki landed with a sigh and folded his wings; they ached. Long flights were just not fun at his age! I'm too old to be crossing oceans in a day... he groused to himself as he approached the Peiso Khehora. "Greetings.. you don't mind if I rest here do you? I'm in need of a break.... at my age I just can't do these long flights." He said with a sigh as he curled up on the sands and went to sleep.... he hadn't realized he was that tired and his last thought before sleep claimed was that he hoped the other didn't mind the rudeness!

Wow, he must be tired...he only just laid down and he's already fast asleep...wonder why he asked if I minded if he slept here? Its not like I own this oasis. Must just be a polite person. Imoogi watched the older Khehora and thought, I wonder how far he traveled? Imoogi settled back down into the water but kept an eye out for anything else that approached the hidden oasis, keeping watch over the older Khehorian. The rest of the night passed quietly, nothing seemed to want to come near the two Khehorians, one an abnormally large Orakovan and the other a Khehorian. As dawn approached, Imoogi's stomach woke him up, and he shook the water as quietly from his body as he could. I'll go hunting and bring something back for this old timer, he'll be hungry when he wakes up. Padding away from the oasis, Imoogi raised his head and sniffed the pre-dawn breeze. There might be a herd of desert beasts up wind. Good, Imoogi thought, they must drink at this oasis in the morning before moving on. He settled down behind several rocks at the opening of the little opening and made sure that he could not be seen as he waited for the herd to approach. After they had reached the opening and headed in, Imoogi waited for several to enter then pouched into the middle of the herd. The herd scattered in two directions, into the crevice, and back out into the desert. Perfect! Breakfast at no real effort. Imoogi dashed after the beasts and drove the trapped ones further into the creavice until the hit the edge of the oasis. Then he used his magic to grab the panicking beasts and hold them still. He walked to each one and broke their necks before settling down to feast on the first body. word count 309+979=1288/2700

Toki slept the night through, the cold of the open desert night seeping into his bones and making them ache. Something that he felt immediately upon waking. With a half groan half growl he sat up and started to stretch. Oh yeah.. that hurt. He was getting too old to be doing all day flights then sleeping in the cold! He sniffed the air, and caught the scent of the Khehora he'd... intruded upon. And blood. Lad must be hunting. I should do that too.. just... after the sun's up and my bones don't ache. Muttering to himself, he started moving about, trying to find a perch where the sun could reach.

robot kitten Muhahahahaha!!!! tag back!!!! we can do short conversations for now smile Imoogi was napping in a sunbeam that fell on the water after he had finished eating his fill from the killed beasts. The sound of a groan woke him up and he watched the other Khehora slowly stretch and then start moving, looking for something. Hmmm, he looks quite a bit older than me. The cold must have made his bones ache, so he must be trying to warm up. Watching the other one move about, Imoogi noticed that he seem to be searching for something without looking. Wonder why he doesn't head straight to the sun beam over here...unless he can't see. Yup, his eyes aren't focusing on anything. Better help him I suppose. There's a sun beam over here if you're looking to warm up quickly, old one. I also over hunted so there is extra meat as well."word count: 1288+141= 1429/2700

torybird You should try to break up your conversations, like hit enter and start a new line when they start talking. Last paragraph was a bit convoluted trying to decide what he said and what he thought. Toki gave a happy rumble as he walked towards Imoogi and felt the warm sun. That feels good on the old bones! he thought with sigh as he lay down to stretch his wings out and soak up as much sun as possible. "Many thanks, this old body just isn't up to all day flights any more...the next day's almost as worse as the first!" He sniffed the air, meat was near by... which meant he could just slink over to it and not move out of his sunbeam.. perfect. "I am Shaman Toki, you are?"822/2700

"I'm Imoogi. I'm just moving through the expanse looking for Mara. A couple of them tore through Talmulia where my parents and siblings live. My brothers were hurt, so I thought it would be best to break those mara things up before they hit the town. What did you fly all day to get here?"1429 + 54 = 1483/2700

"To return to my clan... As Shaman I need to be there during this time of trouble. I probably shouldn't have taken that vacation to Ayr... but I did need the break." Toki approached the tasty smelling carcass and began to eat. In between bites he asked about the Mara, Imoogi's knowledge on them and where they are located. After a while, and once he'd eaten his fill, he turned his attention to the surrounding area. There was an off feeling in the air he did not like. As he extended his static field to examine the area about them, Toki also reached out with his magical senses to see if there was anything magical near by that made him feel uneasy. He growled when he located the source: moving rocks and metal vaguely shaped like very broad Magescians that held within them a magic closer to a Gaili Khehora than anything else he'd ever sensed. "I believe there are some of these... Mara nearby." He said with a growl. They were not headed towards them and would probably pass by without knowing that the Khehora were here... But he did not wish to let them leave, not if they were hunting his people!
