Astronomy || Sam absolutely loves the stars. If he eventually enrolls in college, he will likely pursue astrophysics as a degree, because space is amazing and incredible and there are a million possibilities out there. He already knows there is life on other worlds, or was, once, and that knowledge inspires him to pursue more on the scientific side.
The Internet || Although Sam no longer has the conspiracy obsession that defined his life as Gabriel in the years before the Negaverse, he still spends a lot of time online. Mostly he participates in social networking -- it’s an easy way to ground himself in a human life when he doesn’t have any memories of having one. He has a tumblr blog and a twitter page, and is very social and engaged.
Virtues:
Dreamer || Sam isn’t ambitious per se, but he’s definitely a big dreamer. He is an eternal optimist and It is just about impossible to get him down. He will go to all kinds of ridiculous lengths to achieve his goals, and he works really hard in an effort to achieve. He’s not blind in his optimism - he’s certainly conscious that the world can be a terrible place - but he likes to hold onto the idea that things can be better, if you just work to make them better.
Detail-Oriented || Sam has an eye for detail, and for finding connections that might be hard to spot. It made him a “good” conspiracy theorist, and now he’s just good at finding patterns and drawing connections that might not be initially obvious. Sometimes he can go a little overboard, but mostly he’s just good.
Flaws:
Paranoid || It’s not really paranoia, Sam would insist, since there sort of are people out to get him….but he is distinctly mistrustful and slow to open up to people. Anyone, theoretically, could be a Negaverse agent or could be working with them -- he’s more than conscious that there are traitors in Order’s ranks, even if he has forgotten the specific details. This means he tends to play things close to the vest and is deeply reluctant to share with people that haven’t earned his trust.
Hyperfocused || Sam gets...invested in things. He can lose hours and even entire days working on a project, and will often forget to take care of himself when he’s working on something. It’s a consequence of his general focus; if he’s particularly deep in working on a project, nothing else matters. He just needs a little bit longer to work out this one detail...and suddenly it’s been six hours and he forgot to eat for an entire day. For the third time this week.

Knight Title: Lyonesse Knight of Earth
Challenge: "I will become your sword and shield."
Weapon:
Knight: A wooden hand-and-a-half sword, 8-inch hilt and 36-inch blade, wrapped in vines and flowers
Magic: Lyonesse Knight stabs his blades into the ground (it will pass, magically, through solid ground like concrete, asphalt, etc) to the depth of about three inches. Thorny vines appear to break up out of the ground beneath him, to a radius of ten feet. They tangle up his opponents, creating a stabbing sensation from the thorns with actual injuries at player discretion, and draw vitality away from them and to Lyonesse and his allies. Enemies are left tired and feeling defeated for the length of the attack, whereas Lyonesse and his allies are imbued with a feeling of confidence and virtue. It is possible to cut through or pull away from the vines, so opponents are not totally bound or restrained for the duration of his channeling. Lyonesse can channel for fifty seconds at this stage, and must remain in place while channelling.
Summons Creature: A phoenix, Aulana. She is approximately the size of a large falcon.
Summons Ability: Aulana has a phoenix’s traditional healing tears - by crying on an injury, Aulana can heal it. She can completely heal minor or moderate wounds, but can only partially heal major ones, and can at best stabilize life-threatening injuries if Lyonesse uses his entire magic pool. The longer she is channelled for and the fewer injuries she tends to, the more healing she can do to each individual wound.

Scholar’s Scroll
Physical Description - A parchment scroll, approximately two feet long and ten inches wide, kept in a scroll case attached to Lyonesse’s belt when not in use.
Benefit/Boost - The scroll is essentially an infinite notebook - anything written on it will vanish into the paper on the user’s command, but can be recalled at any time. It is therefore useful for retaining notes, diagrams, or whatever else one might need.

Natron is a naturally occurring mixture of sodium carbonate decahydrate (Na2CO3·10H2O, a kind of soda ash) and about 17% sodium bicarbonate (also called nahcolite[1] or baking soda, NaHCO3) along with small quantities of household salt (halite, sodium chloride) and sodium sulfate. Natron is white to colourless when pure, varying to gray or yellow with impurities. Natron deposits are sometimes found in saline lake beds which arose in arid environments. Throughout history natron has had many practical applications which continue in the wide range of modern uses of its constituent mineral components.
In modern mineralogy the term natron has come to mean only the sodium carbonate decahydrate (hydrated soda ash) which makes up most of the historical salt.

Dallas Blake, Father - 45 years old, astronomer. Dallas spends most of his time working, mostly because he has no idea how to deal with his only son's utter insanity. He encourages Gabriel's interest in astronomy, but worries that he might be the cause of his son's obsession with conspiracy and aliens and hauntings.
Ethelinda "Ethel" Blake, Mother - 40 years old, stay-at-home mother. Ethel spends the most time with Gabriel, and tends to baby her son, which drives him crazy. She also cradles and encourages his obsessions, no matter how strange, because she thinks they are what make her "little snowflake" special.
Both of Gabriel's parents are now deceased.

Eliza Satchlyn: A kindred spirit! Hope to see her again, and to find out what exactly was on her roof.
Esme Blanchard: Convert. Was fairly easy to open her eyes. Always good to meet someone willing to see the light.

Notable Locations:
The Sun Tree: The great tree at the center of Lyonesse, from which its natural magic emanates. Its roots run throughout the city, and many of the magics on Lyonesse draw from its well of power.
Knight's Manor: The home of Knight Lyonesse and his immediate staff, and also a "city hall" of sorts where citizens were welcomed in to debate the issues of the day.
People: The town of Lyonesse was a bustling one, once upon a time, known for its artisans and crafters of all types, and for the magics imbued in their crafts by the power of the Sun Tree. Many prefer to avoid it for fear that the levees will break, but the people of the island live in certainty that their Knight would never allow such to happen.
The Role of the Knight: The most important role of Lyonesse Knight is to ensure that the levees that protect the island stay strong, and to tend to the care of the Sun Tree. Beyond that, his role is mostly to do whatever is required of him by the Prince or the Shitennou.

Since his time spent in the Rift, Natron's kusarigama has taken on a toxic property. Anyone struck by it will experience symptoms similar to hemlock poisoning - nausea, abdominal pain, lightheadedness, and increased heartbeat - for twenty seconds.

Rift Crystal Visor:
Physical Description - A visor made of Rift crystal (so sort of a purpley color, probably opaque from the outside -- like mirrored sunglasses), with an attached “earpiece.”
Benefit/Boost - This device provides Natron with remote access to the Negaverse Intelligence Database. It is activated by pressing the earpiece, and brings up a holographic display of the information recorded there that is touch-manipulatable. Specific records are called up with verbal commands. It also allows him - or other officers, by verbal dictation - to update the database without going to Negaspace. The only information he has access to is information posted in the Intelligence Database thread.
