Thanks for participating, guys! This is part two, which will finish off the event!

The announcements rang clear over the intercom. One charismatic voice permeated the air, drawing attention to the arrival of the raffle. It was time - all were encouraged to temporarily turn their attention to the stage, located at the back of the convention center, to watch for friends or family winning prizes abound. Slowly the curtains peeled back, revealing tables filled with a host of merchandise recognizable from the booths below as well as a few new items set upon small pedestals.

"'Evening, everyone!" The voice called out from the loudspeakers, and soon a tall blonde emerged onstage with a microphone held close to his mouth. "Hope you're enjoying DCon so far, but we're gonna interrupt your fun for a moment. If you look at the stage, you'll see all kinds of wonderful prizes for the taking, as long as you've claimed your tickets! Sadly, I'm not included. Buuuut," he gestured in a sweeping movement toward the peripheral of the stage, "my cohorts are rolling out the tickets now, so stay tuned for some excellent prizes."

The entire speech, coupled with the haphazard way the items were piled atop the tables, felt a little too hokey.

Even Adrian recognized it, and he was supposed to bring the role to life - but how could he when so many indicators either labeled them as first time volunteers to conventions, or worse, some kind of dastardly scheme? Surely half the audience recognized it by now, so how were they going to keep it a secret when the raffle winners started complaining of fatigue or fainted?

One of the other attendants emerged, holding a simple black box filled with tickets. He smiled at the crowd, albeit more sheepishly. It became easily apparent by the shake in his knees that the boy hadn't stood before hundreds of expectant individuals before. Nevertheless, he practically huddled next to Adrian as a means to partially conceal himself from the unblinking stares.

It didn't work. Adrian moved. The boy sighed, dejected.

"Without further ado," the blonde circled around his new assistant, who swallowed uncomfortably, "let's draw a few tickets. Say a few names. Win a few prizes." With a swift elbow to the ribs, he tried to communicate the need to draw tickets out of the box. It went unnoticed, so he lowered the microphone and whispered into the boy's ear.

Despite the wicked blush, he got the hint and started picking the brightly-colored papers out of their dark enclosure. Each time, he showed the paper to the blonde, who squinted a little and pushed the boy's hand father away. Minor recognition followed, and the names were recited.

The first handful of tickets called were for various prizes - winner's choice of the various merchandise sold by the vendors in the main convention area. Each one was heavily enchanted to draw energy, so when the several individuals arrived and claimed their choices, they waved tiredly at the crowd and bumbled back into its folds in a zombielike state.

Well that was a little disturbing. Adrian suppressed a cringe and continued with calling the grand prize winners. "Next up issss," he drew out his phrase as he squinted to read the name scrawled on the back of the ticket. Who wrote these? "David Benuche, congratulations! You win a set of signed art books from..." A quick glance at the name confirmed his suspicions. "A manga whose name I can't pronounce!"

A rather portly individual stumbled onto the stage, sporting a glorious ginger bowl cut and thick-rimmed glasses. He smiled at the crowd, freckles abound, and toddled over to the tables to claim his prize in utter glee. As some indication of his triumph, he hoisted the boxed set into the air high above his head. Upon turning around, he began to utter some kind of obscure otaku reference, but collapsed in the midst of his joyous claim.

Adrian couldn't help it. He winced. His assistant winced too. He was pretty sure everyone winced.

"Someone call a medic up here, yeah? Guess he got a little too excited for his own good. This show ain't stoppin' for nobody..." He muttered, mostly under his breath. "Alright! Our grand prize winner gets a choice from any of these prizes from the pedestal, as well as a large portion of DestinyCon's earnings! Hell, why can't I participate in this thing?" With a mock sigh, he read the final ticket.

He never uttered the name.

Just as his assistant held up the ticket, guttural groans and roars echoed from backstage. Somewhere beyond, in the darkness, a multitude of youma ushered their way into Destiny City and emerged into the cold fluorescent lighting. The beasts poured from the stage, nearly bowling down the raffle attendants in the process, and spilled onto the main floor in ravenous intent.

They roared, they snapped, they devoured energy and starseeds in reckless abandon intrinsic to the youma populace. No one was safe. No table remained unturned, no human unperturbed by the overwhelming numbers that peeled out from behind the stage. These youma - they sought to devour any who tried to stop them, senshi or knight alike.

And they would not rest until they were banished to the Rift.

A single disembodied voice echoed over the loudspeaker. "Negaverse agents, you know who you are. Zis was a nice little exercise, a training demo for energy draining, but it's time to move on to somesing more serious. A step two, so to speak. Murder any senshi who show zeir faces here. Claim zeir starseeds. Use ze energy you drained to keep yourself going.

And don't stop until zey're all dead."

Can we Leave?
THE DOORS ARE NOW LOCKED

Some Helpful Hints!
Negaverse players are free to run to the staff-only area of the con and power up! Also, feel free to assume they were given a heads up by Xenotime if you want! (used with Beejoux's permission)

Order players are free to hide under tables to power up, or use one of the many doors leading to janitorial areas to assume their alter egos!

The Rules
Youma everywhere! Oh no! As a result of this, everyone starts off in a battle with a youma! Yes, you too civs!

So here's how we roll... Use a ten-sided die to kick things off! FOR CIVILIANS:
_______1- 3 means the youma smacked you around. Ouch!
_______4 - 6 means you evaded the youma's attack, but didn't land a hit on it. Bummer!
_______7 - 9 means you smacked a beast! Go you! Two more hits and it's toast.
_______10 is a knockout! You've killed it or knocked it unconscious, you can't tell which, but you know it's best to run now!

Senshi are free to intervene at your behest!

For Senshi and Knights, roll a ten sided die. This will determine the amount of damage you do, should you launch an attack on a Nega or youma. *UPDATE* add two damage to this roll.
_______1 - 10 indicates the amount of damage you do to an officer. For example: Sailor Example rolls a 1, so she does 3 damage to a Negaverse officer (Bazzite is included in this category).
_______1 - 10 multiplied by ten indicates the amount of damage you do to a youma. For example: Sailor Example rolls a 5, so she does 70 damage to a youma. Add the two to the original roll before multiplying by ten!

For Negaversers and DMS. roll a ten sided die. This will determine the amount of damage you do, should you launch an attack on a Senshi or Knight.
_______1 - 10 indicates the amount of damage you do to an enemy. For example: Lieutenant Exampleite rolls a 3, so he does 3 damage to a senshi.
_______1 - 10 indicates the amount of energy you drain from a player owned civilian. This equates to a loss of their health points. For example: Lieutenant Exampleite rolls a 2, so he drains energy from Example McExamplerson, which reduces her health by 2.
_______1 - 10 indicates the amount of energy you drain from an NPC civilian. For example: rolling a 5 indicates an average energy drain, a 1 is a crappy return, and a 10 causes them to faint but gives you great returns.
_______*UPDATE* a one time roll of 1 - 10 will indicate the amount of energy you recover from an energy orb. For example: rolling a 7 will heal your character for 7 HP.

Lastly, anyone can randomize 5 to determine if they can force the lock open and escape DestinyCon.
_______1 - 4 does nothing. The lock laughs at your failure.
_______5 damages the lock. As long as three 5's are rolled, by you or by anyone else, the lock breaks. For example: Female 1 rolls a five, then Female 2 rolls a five. Female 1 then rolls another five. The doors are now open for anyone to escape.

Health Pools
All Youma have a health pool of 100.
All Civilians have a health pool of 30.
All Basic Senshi/Lieutenants have a health pool of 40.
All Super Senshi/Captains have a health pool of 50.
All Eternal Senshi/Generals have a health pool of 60 (Bazzite is included in this category).

You are in charge of keeping track of your health pool! Hitting zero means you fainted!

Good luck everyone, and have fun!

MECHANICS UPDATE!

Negaverse agents have received new orders! Given their earlier exercise, they have an energy orb to spare, and are invited to use it to keep dishing out the damage to the senshi menace!
From now on, Negaversers get one chance to roll 1-10 to heal themselves with an energy orb.
_______1 - 10 heals your dice roll's amount in HP. For Example: Lt. Exampleite rolls a 7, he regains 7 HP. Remember, this is a one-time roll!

Senshi and Knights are feeling the pressure! Not only is the room crowded with youma and enemy officers, but breaking the doors down might lead to further chaos! They've bolstered their resolve, and receive a damage bonus!
From now on, Senshi and Knights gain a permanent +2 damage to their dice rolls.
_______1-10 yields your dice roll's amount in damage plus two. For Example: Sailor Example rolls a 5. With the permanent +2 damage increase, Sailor Example inflicts 7 damage.

Quote:
THE END IS NIGH!

Thanks to a great deal of effort from the various Order characters, the exit doors are finally open! Feel free to wrap up at your leisure or continue to fight until your character depletes their health. Ultimately the energy draining activities were stunted, thanks to the participation of the senshi and knights, and as an added bonus, few youma escaped into the wide world of Destiny City. However, the Negaverse still succeeded in gleaning energy for their nefarious purposes, so the event ultimately ended in a stalemate.

If you have any questions or feedback for DestinyCon, feel free to PM or AIM me.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the event! I hope you all had a good time, and that I have the opportunity to hold better events in the future!

The con had been fun, not the least of which because she had been here with her friends and gotten to meet Gwen's girlfriend. Orah had gotten some 'swag', but not been drawn in the raffle, which was okay with her. She had something to take home and that was enough for her.

The festive mood of the con started to sour though as a nagging feeling gnawed at the back of her brain. The people who went up to claim prizes seemed tired... and while a day running around a convention could tire out any one, this seemed more than that. Then the grand prize winner collapsed and a shot of adrenaline zipped it's way through Orah's body, making the hair at the nap of her neck stand on end.

This wasn't right... this whole event had been too good to be true. There was something wrong here... And then that voice. That voice she heard in her nightmares played over the intercom and there was no question at all what was happening here even as monsters boiled out from the backrooms.

"Arian! Gwen!" She shouted as she spun to find her friends, panicked. They had to find a place to transform! They were helpless like this, and there were innocent people in trouble. They couldn't let this be a repeat of last time. This was NOT going to be a repeat of the carnival.

Aloysius looked around as the mood changed severely, he got up and stood in front of the boy dressed like Mario. He had a bad feeling about things and really didn't want to deal with losing a customer or any of his things. He most definitely did not expect anything like this occurring at the con. On the other hand part of him wanted to keep one of the little things attacking people as a pet. It reminded him of some of the random doodles he had drawn during his story writing sessions.

"You can hide beneath the table to stay safe if you want unless you wanna go find the people you came with. Be careful though, you might get lost in all this. I'll try my hand and knocking one of these things out."

He faced one and kicked out at it slightly to shoo it away from his booth. It attacked back but neither the monster's hit or his own landed. Aloysius stepped back in case it tried to attack once more.

Gwendolyn Caspian was spitting mad and the sudden turn of events, though in all honesty, should she have been surprised. No, deep down inside, she had always suspected that she should go into any and every event posting assuming that it was nothing more than a Negaverse trap, and while the experienced side of her told her not to be surprised, that didn't mean that she couldn't be angry.

"Oh well it would figure, wouldn't it?!" Gwen spat, balling her hands into fists and not caring just how silly she might have looked in her cosplay as she looked around at the impending chaos around them. Like Orah, she figured that something was up, and the voice that rang out held no familiarity to her, and truthfully, she didn't care. To her, she was just another Negaverse officer that threatened the citizens of Destiny City, and Gwen wasn't going to have ANY of that. "Can't there be some kind of event that isn't just bad news waiting to happen? Oh, these guys are going to pay!"

She heard Orah's call and knew exactly what she meant, and she wrapped her fingers around Anandi's hand as she looked to Orah and Arian. "Suit up! These guys sound like they mean business, too!"

She gave her girlfriend a tug, motioning towards the nearest table to henshin under. All the while, she kept her fists ready to deck any approaching youma or officer as she dove under the table with her girlfriend. "Don't worry, Anandi... I'll keep you safe!"

Ian smirked. Finally, they could play. The day had gone surprisingly well so far, and while this wasn't how he would have done it, he had to assume that they knew what they were doing. Hopefully.

He rushed back to the staff area, quickly powering up. He had thought about playing the civilian, to see if he could lure any of the senshi into a trap, but this wasn't the place for it. That would have to be a plot for later. A decent one in fact, if he could do it right. But now, now was time to fight.

He moved back into the crowd, glancing around for any senshi. He didn't see any yet, but he knew they were there, it was just a matter of time. Perhaps if he drained a con-goer or two.

His eyes flickered over the crowd, looking for an available target. He decided on a teen who was attempting to fight one of the youma, a boy dressed up as Link. Perfect. He moved in closer, draining the boy's energy, and he smirked as they stumbled. One down, more to go.

For awhile, Richard Moreau had forgotten that he was there for a very specific reason, and it was a good thing that someone felt like giving him a friendly reminder of it, because otherwise, he would have whisked away his little friend and made his way to the exit to take her on a real outing, away from the overwhelming swarm of geeks and nerds. How was he suppose to enjoy his time with Ruthie with a convention going on around him?

Of course there were other matters at hand, and he just about cursed when he heard Bischofite's voice ringing through the loud speakers. 'Oh, right, suppose to be doing something else. Great!'

Which meant he had to dump Ruthie and fast, and as much as it pained him to abandon her to what was going to be a hellish nightmare, if Bischofite was in charge of everything, he had learned his lesson from the last event, and he refused to make that mistake again! He made a quick about face and made his way towards the staff only section, making his transformation quick and immediately taking to the floor once more, summoning his boomerang and making a strike at the first civilian he could see.

"Poor, poor little lambs! You just never learn!" Buddingtonite shouted, allowing his boisterous voice to be filled with nothing but condescending mirth as he threw his boomerang out. It wasn't that he truly wanted to hurt anyone... okay, that was a lie, so long as either he didn't recognize them or if they were someone that had wronged him before, anyway. But he might as well enjoy himself! "Allow me to teach you all a valuable lesson!"

Wherever Ruthie was, he hoped she'd be alright. He hoped she stay away... if she knew what was best for her, she'd hide.

Ruthie's eyes widened. What. Was. Happening? Suddenly Richard disappeared into the crowd. "Richard?!" A shriek. A cry. Youma flooded the main floor. She shoved aside a man cosplaying as cyborg Beethoven. "RICHARD?" She shoved past Ash and Pikachu. Tears welled. Where was her Richard? She wiped her eyes and hid under a booth, transforming into BRAVE WARRIOR OF JUSTICE SAILOR MEDEAAA.

She sobbed an obnoxiously loud cry, cradled her arm, and stepped into the fray. She had to find Richard. She had to save him!

And then, she found her Captain.

"Buddy!" Eyes wet, she charged. Not to hug him. Not to kiss him. To tackle him to the ground, so he wouldn't attack, then maybe she'd spare him from fulfilling his duties or at least convince him to stop--anything to end the massacre and preserve the image of the man who fed her chocolate and met her in abandoned factories and rooftops.

He wouldn't hurt her, right? He couldn't. He liked her, she felt pretty sure.

"No!" Delilah spat at as she realized what was going on. As if bleeding from the wood itself, youma and panic was filling the room. Quickly turning around, her eyes began to size everything up as she took it all in. It was a trap. A trap for everyone inside and as a result, they wanted everyone dead and it did not matter who they were.

Looking towards Cora and Mathias, she knew the later took take care of himself and the woman he loved. Quenton, she wasn't so sure. Honestly, she knew that in this form, even she couldn't do much else. But how could she change? Not in front of these people. Especially not in front of family.

But Delilah was lucky. Just as she was thinking that she would have to just run from them, several people moving from youma in a panic came crashing into her. It was enough to push her away and move her with the mass. Towards the door they went and that was when she heard someone. "It's locked!"

Cries went out around her and it really did hit home. They wanted to kill them all.

In the panic of the crowd, Delilah managed to slip under one table. Out the back, she came out as Sailor Phact.

"Everyone move away from the door!" Phact screamed and took a running start towards it trying to throw her body against the locked form. "NOW!" She barked as some stood there watching. With so many people, any fight was going to be a problem. In her mind, these people of Destiny City needed to get out. Phact was not a fighter she knew that now well enough. But she could try to do something.

It was all going wonderfully. People were having fun. She was having fun! Scott had told her about marvelous Mothra movies and Re-Animator and... and had just slipped the card with his number squiggled on it. While he had been busy with that she had been retrieving a twenty dollar bill to pay for the shirts. Then, as always it seemed, Chaos reared it's ugly head and poured over her light like thick, black ink.

"I'm sorry... I... I have to go!" Penelope blurted it out with her normal amount of awkwardness, abandoning both the t-shirts she had been buying and the twenty she had taken out of her Wonder Woman clutch to pay for them. The card was the only thing she held onto, gripping it for dear life because it had been in her hand. She barely saw where she was running, weaving in and out of others who were trying to escape or avoid or... go and power up, perhaps, as she was doing. The girl tripped and crawled her way under an abandoned table.

After a few moments under the table, Eternal Sailor Pasiphae emerged. She pushed herself to her feet and looked around the room. She heard a shout that the door was locked and then another soon after looked towards the door. It was a Senshi she did not know, one decked in white and red... and she had a wonderful idea! If they could get the door open, then all of the innocents could escape the energy draining and the youma... and that was all she needed to go and offer her support. Eternal Sailor Pasiphae ran over as quickly as she could. When the other girl was finished taking her chance at the door, the Shame Senshi threw her weight behind it. It held against her strength and pushed her back by her ally.

"I'm Pasiphae," she said in way of greeting, offering a ghost of one of her normal smiles as she steeled herself to go against the door again. After the civilians were safe... she hoped that she would be able to greet the other Senshi more fully. "I'll do all I can to help... so if you need anything, just let me know!"

Alejandro never got a chance to get his Mario music. Perhaps because he was young, that was the first thought on his mind. It was disappointment to distract him from the shock of the evil voice on the intercom, from the fear at the sudden appearance of monsters that filled the formerly innocent convention.

Another emotion that came through was anger whenever Mr. Penguin tried to tell him to get under the table and hide. Oh, so he had to go and hide like a little titty-baby but Mr. Penguin could go out and fight monsters with his bare hands. Please. Alejandro was dressed as MARIO. The plumber who lived to fight monsters. Would Mario run and hide? No way! Even skinny britches Luigi fought ghosts and stuff--and Mario was even better than Luigi! "Uh, no. If you can fight monsters, so can I!"

It did not even occur to the young man to turn into Chibi Sailor Syrinx. He already had a costume, afterall, and he had to show that Mario was awesome. So he threw a punch as high and as hard as he could and was rewarded when the monster roared in pain. "HA! TOLD YOU SO!"

The flower sales had been going well enough... until a sudden announcement. As much as Krishna might hate the owner of that voice... Captain Serpentine was a loyal Negaverse officer. This party was not Bischofite's; if it had been, he would never have agreed to participate to begin with. So, when the announcement was made, the florist rushed from his station and tried not to wince at the way his flowers were surely being crushed in the Chaos. In the staff-only area, it did not take long for Captain Serpentine to appear on scene.

Pulling the whip from his sash, his ears picked up on Buddingtonite's battle cry. He had not seen Richard earlier, but he had known his partner was around. When he turned to go and meet him... he saw that the other officer could use some help. A too-familiar pink, yellow, and black clad Senshi had decided to try and take him out... and that just could not be allowed.

Buddingtonite might not hurt Medea. Serpentine, on the other hand? He would gladly hurt the Senshi. He reeled back his arm and whipped at the girl's open back, hoping to get her off of the other Captain. His voice was a hiss that matched his name, "Mine."

Both twins cursed and the same time. As the monsters began to pour out from backstage, Micah immediately reached for her pen, always tucked safely in her purse in case of emergencies. Though she could not power up right that moment, the heft of the thing reassured her. Misha drew her close and Micah didn’t fight, feeding off her brother’s calm to assess the situation before making any moves to do anything.

“We need to find someplace private.”

Misha only looked at her.

“I need to power up… you know…” Had he forgotten? They hadn’t exactly talked about her… condition… recently but… that was sort of a big deal. Had he really just forgotten about the single biggest development in Micah’s life ever?

“you know,” she clarified further, rolling her eyes. “Magical girl… s**t needs to get done… I gotta fight crime Misha!”

“Yeah, I ******** know what you mean,” Misha finally spat, his voice several octaves too high. “And on a night to night basis I can’t very well stop you, but you heard that maniac! Kill on sight! And I’ll be damned if now, in my care, you’re going to put yourself in that position.”

“I don’t really have a choice.” It was a whine, no two ways about it, and Misha was having none of it. Instead it yanked his sister’s hand out of her purse and snatched the accessory from her shoulder.

“You can have this back when we’re safe,” he muttered, shucking off his blazer in favor of better mobility.

“So if I can’t fight something, then what are we doing,” Micah demanded as Misha lead her through the madness. She knew that look. He’d already had some sort of plan.

“Do you remember that scene in RENT, where Angel got into the apartment building with a trash can” Misha asked, pulling Micah up beside a bank of trash cans. Micah only nodded silently, swallowing around the lump in her throat. Misha handed her a heavy metal bin.

“We’re setting everyone free Little Bird,” he muttered, picking up a second. this time, without being lead, Micah followed her brother, glad to finally have a purpose.

A purpose, it would seem, someone else shared. A senshi, no less.

"Someone let her power up," she muttered behind Misha.

"Now's not the time," he chided, perhaps a little frantically. As the senshi moved away from the door, presumably to prepare another blow, Misha stepped top her side, pulling Micah along side him.

"Together," he shouted at both of them. He and Micah landed the first blow together.

Silver eyes scanned the rising chaos as she strolled through the mayhem that had only moments before been a happy, bustling convention. Now it was different, more, better. A free-for-all of delightful proportions, and Captain Xenotime would be loathed to miss all that fun.

She'd left Bischofite's side, temporarily, wading into the melee and youma with an almost serene smile alight on lovely features. At home in the carnage and bloodshed, comfortable, alive. She would find the general later, there was little doubt of that, but for now there were other urges to sate.

A voice carried over the cacophony of other noises. Whined and desperate and so very familiar.

Medea

A whip cracked, and grey eyes narrowed. Painted lips twitching before splitting into a wide grin. Someone had already targeted magenta haired Senshi. She would leave him to it. Medea was an after thought. A waste of space. Not worth the breath she pulled into her lungs as she cried out her pain.

The lieutenant could have her. But first, and with exaggerated care, the captain would kneel beside the tangle of limbs that was Buddingtonite and Medea, fingertips lifting to brush over the apple of the other girl's cheek as she feigned a look of mild sorrow. "Scream louder, sweet girl. Scream louder so your pain and anguish echo off these walls." The sorrow melted away, leaving coal grey eyes cold and detached. "I want to hear it from every corner."

All pretense of kindness dissolved as Xenotime straightened again, turning to regard the lieutenant she didn't have a name for. "Make her suffer," she purred to him.

Buddingtonite had his hands full, but Xe grinned down at him, winking, before she began to move through the crowd again. Searching, hunting. She would find her own prey.
