When it came to Jude's list of priority, varsity baseball games were -- well, they didn't even make the cut. If his life had stayed simple, school during the day, work after, avoiding his mom when she'd been drinking too much, trying to scrape through well enough to get a scholarship to university, Jude could have gone his entire life without joining the press and crowd at any kind of sporting event.
For Sisyphus, however, it was a different story. He'd taken baseball into his patrol, in recent days, mostly because it made him feel like he was doing something. Here was, he thought, the perfect place for chaos to take a foothold: enough people to disguise one weirdo in a custom, just the way it disguised him, but their aura would light up like a beacon to senshi eyes.
For now, he was under the bleachers, peering out through rows and rows of feet, the whole crowd loud enough to hide the sound of anyone approaching, of anything that went on down here. It reminded him of his brother. Distracting, and annoying.

Gabe wasn't much one for baseball games either, but Captain Natron was. Sure, he looked like a biker, which meant people gave him funny looks, but with his weapon desummoned, he was passably normal. Except, of course, for his chaos aura, and the fact that he seemed to be actively bumping into people as he pushed through the bleachers - siphoning off just a little bit of energy with each bump.
He sensed a senshi aura underneath the bleachers, and frowned. That was going to be a problem. A frustration, really. The Captain walked to the end of the row he was on and then down. He could use a little confrontation in his evening, anyway.

It was probably no surprise to either of them that there were opposing forces at the school -- Sisyphus pausing, where he stood, to blink up through the bleachers, very still as he tried to track the movement of approaching Chaos.
Of stronger-than-him approaching Chaos.
Great.
He moved slowly, trying to stay silent, suddenly regretting his decision. Fingers in his pocket, he rooted around for his phone, trying to decide if this counted as enough of an emergency to call one of the exactly-two senshi he knew, and deciding it probably wasn't.
For a floundering moment he considered powering down and hiding, but before he could, Natron would catch the flash of white, would be able to spot him, huddled under the bleachers and looking the wrong way.

Natron actually looked a sick sort of amused when he spotted the Senshi. "Scared, kid?" He asked. It was really Sisyphus's bad luck to be facing the wrong way when the Captain got down there, because his first reaction to an exposed back was to twirl and then snap out with his weapon.
Alright, so this was gonna be good for a lot more than just gathering some energy. It was always a good night when he bumped into a Senshi and had an opportunity to put a space invader in their place and remind them just which side this city belonged to.

That was a lot of heavy weapon to be coming out of nowhere, and it was a good thing that Natron taunted before he swung. It meant that instead of just getting slammed flat by a heavy mace, Sisyphus had time to drop his phone, turn -- and then, with a yelp, dance to the side. Above them, the crowd swayed with motion and noise as someone on the field did something impressive. It covered up the undignified sound.
He still took enough of a hit to bruise, though, a blossom of pain at his side. In a shocking moment of insight, he hopped in two steps closer. It seemed like that thing needed range.
"Uh...uh...no?" It also leant more strength to this claim than his tone of voice.

Natron was grinning in a decidedly unfriendly sort of way. He was also feeling perhaps a bit too confident - after all, he had energy and he also had a rank on this poor, scared senshi.
"You should be," he said, even as he reformulated his plan of attack. The senshi was now close enough that his mace was less effective - the thing had an optimum range to work at, and besides, brawling was more fun anyway. He desummoned the weapon, and took a step forward, not making a move to attack a second time just yet.

Sisyphus had been training with Lee -- some. He'd been patrolling -- some. He'd been working on his confidence -- some. It meant, given the opportunity, he attacked first: stepping in to make the first move.
Unfortunately, it also meant his 'first move' was more slap fight than serious brawl, enough that if he connected just right he might leave Natron's cheek stinging. It might even leave a bruise. It certainly wasn't going to do any real damage, and it would leave Sisyphus himself looking more shocked than anything else.

Natron blinked. While the slap wasn't particularly damaging, it did leave the Captain surprised.
"You just slapped me." He stated, blinking again. Wow, that had to make his list of weirdest openers to a fight. Oh well, if this wasn't a very strong Senshi...
He aimed a punch to the gut, a much stronger strike than the slap he'd been greeted with.

It seemed, to Sisyphus, that it was always the stomach -- but, unfortunately he thought this as the blow connected, instead of a convenient three or four seconds before hand. The breath went out of him and he doubled over, any possible reply huffing out of his mouth, and he was left mostly trying to figure out how to minimize damage.
Run, or cry for help? Neither seemed terribly useful, just now. The most he could do was grab after Natron's hand, to keep him from pulling back to rain another one down, and cling to it like a monkey.

Natron growled, yanking back on his hand against the Senshi's grip. He reached his other arm around, wrapping it around the Senshi's wrist and squeezing as hard as he could. Hopefully he'd at least leave a bruise, or encourage Sisyphus to let go.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked, grinning viciously. "Because I've got more ways to break you than you have to stop me." Because threats were always effective; and if not...well. He was pretty sure he could back it up.

It hurt, but pain wasn't such a huge issue for Sisyphus -- nor Jude, either. The wrist-grab, in fact, wasn't even all that unfamiliar or that strange. It was rather reminiscent of home, after his mother had had a couple too many. Of course, it still got a strangled sound as he stepped in a hair closer, hat knocked sideways on his head and teeth clenched.
"I d-don't have any ch-choice." Meant to come out stronger than it did, he thought of Laoise as he said it. Then Sisyphus blinked, and --
"Sisyphean Task!" it was a fail safe, a last option, Natron immediately overcome with the need to dismiss his weapon and take it out again, as many times as he could. For a brief time, Sisyphus would be free.
And then, maybe, he'd run.

Natron was about to respond, but the magic struck - it had to be magic - because suddenly he was dismissing and resummoning his weapon. He made an angry choked noise and let go of Sisyphus's wrist.
"The hell did you do to me?" He asked, trying to focus, to avoid it, but - he was doing it again. Damn it, this had to win an award for most annoying magic he'd yet been faced with.

"It's m-magic!" There was at least some spine behind the words, something more than simply cowering in fear. More than that, in fact; he just paused for a breath before reaching out to shove Natron on top of it, both hand's against his shoulder to push him back a step. It was kid business, it was garbage. It wouldn't do any damage, but it did light up his expression with a sense of self-certainty. Just a moment. Then he ran, taking off in the other direction. Litian Want to come to the rescue?

“What’s going on?” the words were quiet but frosty, the source an elaborately dressed dark-haired senshi. Baseball wasn’t really Athene’s civilian counterpart’s thing, the American sport not one he really understood, although apparently it had some similarity to the games of rounders that he had had to play during summer PE lessons back in the UK. If not for the Nega aura he’d picked up on, Athene most likely would not have come this way at all, but the dark aura had had him turning from the route he had originally been planning to take and heading in the direction of the bleachers. He’d gotten there just in time to almost bump into a senshi who it seemed had chosen to pick that minute to try and take off from the bleachers, his eyes flicking towards the Nega Agent – a Captain he figured by the strength of the aura.

Natron stumbled backwards, nearly falling over, when Sisyphus pushed him. He finally managed to shake off the effects of the magic, his weapon resting in his hands, when he felt the Eternal Senshi aura.
s**t, s**t, s**t, this was not good. While he was pretty sure he could handle things, he wasn't as eager to wade into a battle with someone stronger than him. Still, he gave the Senshi a cocky smile and strode closer. He always had the option of teleporting out, even if at this point he would probably come close to passing out.
"Just a little energy gathering, nothing to be too concerned about." And kicking around a kid, but who cared?
