It might have taken longer than she had wanted, but here Painite managed to get back to Natron about their little scheduled hunting night. There had been so much going on in her life recently, with the very successful raid on the Carnival, that she hadn't had a moment to return to her normal 'duties' until now.

And she would revel in them until she was caught in the flak she knew was heading her way. If there was a fall to take for the slaughter at the Carnival, it was hers to take alone. With how bravely and skillfully her Negaverse friends and allies had worked that evening, she was more than honored to see what consequences her leaders could possibly throw at her for encouraging the Negaverse back to a point of honor and power.

They had been what Chaos was meant to be: a unit, a large team working under one goal, all in their own ways, functioning independently but all for a glorious and awesome end. Painite could only see greatness in what they had did: she had no mind for the fall out or the 'work' that would follow to clean up. She wasn't on the Infiltration team, and she certainly wasn't there to gather information.

Really, she was out for herself, fighting her own war, and utilizing the resources she had gained through her years with the Negaverse.

Tonight, though, wasn't about any of that. Tonight she was going to go on a simple patrol with one of her most promising soldiers. And she was looking forward to it, immensely.

Natron was quite happy to be joining Painite for that promised patrol. All the pride he felt from his participation in her little carnival event showed in every line of his posture and in the sly grin on his face.

"General!" He called when he saw her, jogging a little faster so he could get there. "How are you doing?" He asked, when he got to her. He was still giddy from his last adventure - from the battle itself and from the praise the General had heaped on after.

As far as he was concerned, everything had gone perfectly and would continue to do so.

"Ah, Captain!" Painite smiled at him and refrained from bouncing over to him and giving a hug if only because she was still riding high on the power trip the Carnival had given her, as well. Anyway, she needed to show them all the respect they had earned, in her own way, even though she was much a fan of cuddles and other public shows of affection.

There was always a time and place, of course.

"There you are. I was wondering when you'd show up. Not because you're late, but because I'm very excited." She laughed, despite herself, grinned ear to ear. She had a lot of fun so far and imagined this hunt, though much more small scale, would be just as entertaining to her. Making one person suffer, seeing them crumble into fear and desperation or just into a dead pile of limbs, was one of her favorite things to do.

"So, anything in particular you want to hunt today?"

Painite being happy to see him was definitely the best thing he'd seen so far. "Sorry for making you wait!" He said. She didn't seem upset, but even so, perhaps he ought to have been a bit earlier; getting the hunt started before planned was never amiss.

"Well, I prefer to hunt senshi, but if civilians is all we can find..." He shrugged. That would be disappointing, but there was a message sent in dead, starseed-less civilians. In bodies that had no apparent cause of death. He liked to think their enemies slept uneasily, and anything he could do to contribute to that was good in his mind.

"Making me wait just makes me anticipate all the good things we can do a bit more. I'm looking forward to this hunt, though the bar is rather high now."

She grinned, teasing but not entirely.

"Let's find us a senshi, then." She chuckled, more than happy to hunt them down. She liked to scare them, make them remember her, but they were not going to have that chance tonight. Tonight, they were starseed donators to a very worthy cause.

Painite moved to the top of the roof, peering out over the city and watching the people below. It was effortless, sometimes she teleported before she even noticed it. She watched them below her, feeling for auras. She needed this tonight, it would be a welcomed release.

They just needed to find someone.

"I'll do my best to live up to your expectations," Natron said. Were he a bit less worried about maintaining some dignity, he might have clapped excitedly at the idea of tracking a Senshi with his General. He'd yet to have the opportunity to hunt with Painite, but he had a clear memory of how ruthless she could be to her own in training - he could only imagine any Order idiot who crossed them tonight would be in for a world of suffering.

He teleported to the roof after her, alert for any signs of Order himself. This was definitely going to be as good as he'd hoped!

Songstress Kitsune
( I dunno if we need to ask for a disposable or not haha )

Painite would not have faulted him for clapping or enjoying himself. In fact, she encouraged it. That was part of this game, was it not? In her mind, it was a large part. They were having fun, they were given this power to do something incredible. They had the abilities to defy gravity and vanish from sight only to appear somewhere else. Why shouldn't they use it for what it was meant for?

Hunting. It was the only way to stop the senshi threat. To cut them down, one by one. Break their numbers and break their resolve. Through death or through terrible fear, there were plenty of ways to defeat the White Moon.

"Now, we just need to find ourselves a little toy. Something fun, not too easy. Not a newbie, unless we can't find anything better. I want to strike at their heart, at their strong. I don't want them thinking they're invulnerable when they climb their ranks."

There were plenty of names and faces she was hoping to run into that night. Senshi that had escaped, Knights that had managed to survive. Or the ones she let go, because their fear was more useful, at that time, than their deaths.

Natron nodded, an eager and sadistic grin on his face. "A Super or a Squire, then, at least," he said. It would be more fun to play with a Knight or an Eternal, but he would take what he could get. "It's nothing to leave them the corpse of some newbie."

"Someone with friends, maybe?" It would be hard to identify that just by guessing, but if getting to Super was anything like getting to Captain, you had to meet people on the way who knew your name, knew your face.

Any other planning could take place when they actually had their victim in hand.

I don't think so, since it's not a solo!

Songstress Kitsune
Ah, that's right!

Painite wanted to see Natron at his best, so pushing for a knight or an eternal would have been fun but might have been too much for him and she was not going to push him too far before she had a chance to really do something big. She needed him with her, after all.

He was one of the few whose potential had not faltered, after all.

She hummed in response to his suggestions, looking around and feeling an aura not too far off that might fit the bill. She motioned toward it, taking the old fashioned method and walking that way instead of just trying to teleport over there.

There would be no element of surprise for them, but that just made it more fun, in its way. There was no excuse for the senshi or knight, whatever it was, when they lost. They had every chance that could be afford to them.

Natron kept pace with her, wondering what their target felt knowing they were approaching. He hoped "fear" was on the list, because it was always fun when they were scared. The closer he got tot he aura, the more suprised he was that it didn't seem to move - their quarry could feel a Captain and a General approaching and wasn't moving. Well, bravery was almost as fun as fear.

Or, at least, it was fun to watch one shift into the other.

He had never hunted with Painite before, but he'd trained with her - and if she was that ruthless with him, what would she be to their enemies? It would be an excellent learning experience.

There was a White Moon person fighting with a youma down on the street below. Painite imagined that was why they had not been able to run away from the approaching Negas, but it probably made them feel a bit more panicked. She grinned, thinking about it, stopping on the roof over the fight.

She pointed down at the Senshi, looking at Natron.

"I'll keep a look out for any more auras coming to ruin our fun. But I want to see what you can do to that poor little senshi down there. Show me your best," she grinned, nodding at him knowingly. "And your worst."

This was a good chance for her to see how far he was willing to go, and she fully intended on giving him orders if he needed them. She was already having fun, looking excited and eager, like a kid looking forward to the first day of school.

Natron looked down at the Senshi, and he frowned. He hated seeing youma get smacked around - the poor creatures had to feed, didn't they? So he crouched, and then vaulted off to land behind his prey. "Good evening," he said politely. "I'm going to kill you." He manged to keep the same pleasant tone the entire time - no twitch in the slightest.

The senshi turned around, eyes wide and panicked. "Oh, no," she said, looking behind her at the youma and in front at the officer. She was pinned and she knew it.

That fear was Natron's personal drug of choice, and he swung his mace almost without warning at her chest. The sickening crack of bones breaking under the weight was only the beginning.

General Painite watched from above, moving leisurely from one side of the room to the other, watching each angle of the scene below, studying Natron and the senshi. She saw so much in him, and so very little in the White Mooner. What was the point of wasting the Chaos to corrupt them?

They were worthless. They needed to be eradicated.

"Good!" Painite called from above, grinning ear to ear. She leaned over the edge of the roof, watching him with excitement in her gaze. She wanted to go down there and join in the fight, but she wasn't going to interrupt him unless he needed her to. Be it that the senshi started to fight back, or if he began to get soft with her.

They were leaving with a starseed tonight, one way or the other. That, at least, was certain.

Natron swung his mace again, and the Senshi stumbled backwards, terrified by his advance. He grinned coldly at her, swinging again to strike her gut and then throwing his body weight at her in a bullrush. The senshi yelped and punched at him, striking his face, which was the last blow he intended to allow her to land.

He reached out and grabbed her arm, and she started struggling and clawing at him.

"I'm not going to lay down and die!" She growled, grasping for his hair - and for once he was glad it was relatively short, because she couldn't quite seem to get a good hold.

"You should, this would be easier." He did take a moment to glance up and grin at Painite.

He totally had this.

Painite laughed and nodded her head.

"Some senshi don't know when to quit, eh? Give them a little leeway, let them have one small chance to save themselves, and their foolish pride and insufferable need to be noble generally makes them stupid. Just who are you playing hero for, Senshi? There's no one here but us Negas."

She teleported down to the fight, standing next to Natron and shoving the senshi away a few steps. She was on the smaller side, and looked very dainty and sweet, but it was never good to judge someone by their appearance. She was, after all, a Negaverse General, and not a particularly nice one.

As the senshi would soon find out.

Painite glanced at Natron and winked, then moved to the senshi. She stabbed her spear through the senshi's leg, into the ground, effectively pinning her in place in what looked like a very painful way. Then she bounced back.

"She didn't want to leave," She explained to Natron casually, "so I made sure she didn't change her mind. She's all yours now."
