When Gabe had called with the brief details of their date, Vyth had spent the next couple of days getting ready. On the day of their proposed date, she had taken all day making sure everything was perfect. Her hair, her make up, her outfit. Everything had to be just right. She had chosen a short little strapless dress in black along with a short red jacket. Since it had been getting colder outside. Along with black heels. Her hair looked the same except for a red rose clip and the ends were curled just slightly to give it a more elegant look.
The time had gotten closer to when he had planned to pick her up, so she hurried out the dorm. Grabbing her purse along the way and nearly bowling over a couple of girls on the stairs before she hustled it to the front gate. Leaning over with her hands on her knees panting lightly before she straightened up once more and smoothed out her dress.
Waiting.

Gabe had somehow, some way convinced his father to let him borrow his car, possibly by invoking the word "date" and the phrase "real live girl." It was still just a Toyota Camry, but it was a step up from his mom's minivan on the cool scale. He had also dressed up, wearing a button-down shirt and slacks. He looked much less like a hobo than usual. With the blessing of his parent's credit card and the near death of his mother by squee and "oh my goodness my baby is on his fist date," he had the means to take Vythica to a real fancy restauraunt.
He pulled up to the front gate and stepped out, immediately smiling when he saw Vythica. He was still not entirely sure this was really happening. Then again, there she was, and he was fairly certain he wasn't crazy enough to hallucinate.
"Vythica," he called out. "You look gorgeous."
Open with a compliment.

A car pulled and she smiled brightly as Gabe stepped out. Compliments right out the gate, that was certainly verifying that all her work to get ready had been worth it. She brushed a bit of hair behind her ear. "Thank you. You're looking pretty handsome yourself." The slacks most certainly made something look handsome. Restrain yourself girl. Its an official date and they were going to a fancy restaurant so she needed to have some composure.
She hadn't told her father just yet that she was 'dating' anyone. Vyth didn't want to scare Gabe off by having her father figure out where he lived and making a random visit. So when she had gotten her weekly call from him over her frivolous money spending like she did every weekend she had made no mention of it.
Stepping closer to the car, she waited for him to open the door. "Are you ready for a night full of wonder and fantasy?" A wide grin spread her ruby colored lips as a slender eyebrow raised.

He had meant every word of the compliment. Good God Vythica was gorgeous. How had he managed to snag a date with her again? It was beyond him. "Thanks," he said. He walked to the passenger side and opened the door for her, a slightly dopey smile on his face.
This was happening, this was actually happening.
"Of course I am," he said. No he wasn't, not really, but that was okay. "Are you?" What was he even saying.

Vyth giggled lightly as she moved past him to the open door. Reaching out to run a finger underneath his chin. "Of course." He seemed a little nervous, but she figured that was a bit usual for Gabe. Of course, it was fun making him nervous and that dopey smile was adorable.
With that, she got into the car. Placing her purse in her lap and buckling herself up right away. Safety first!

Gabe flushed and swallowed nervously. "Oh, good," he said a bit faintly. Oh wow this was actually happening, this was insane, guys like him did not get dates with girls like Vythica.
Except he had.
Well.
He walked around the car and slid into the seat, bucking up and pulling away from Crystal. "I've got dinner planned, but, uh, if you want to do anything after that," he hadn't planned for it because he was sure she would realize it was all a mistake and want him to take her home after the meal.

Of course guys like you went on dates with girls like Vythica, Gabe. Of course they did.
Settling back into her seat, she turned her head slightly when he spoke. "Ah and where shall we be dining tonight?"
Vyth had planned for things after dinner. She wanted to spend as much time getting to know Gabe the best she could and doing whatever after dinner was fine. "Hmm, well. How about a little walk in the park for a bit? Its such a nice night and I would like to enjoy some time outside before it starts to get any colder and I have to bundle up in five sweaters."

"There's this nice little bistro downtown, serves Italian and Mediterranean...I wasn't sure what you liked but it's a good place." He really hoped that went over well with her. The worst thing he could think of was screwing up his very first date in the first few minutes,
"A, uh, a walk in the park sounds lovely." Of course, after dark the park was a hub for all kinds of powered sorts, but as long as he was with her, he could protect her just by henshin'ing up.

"Sounds great! I'm not very picky when it comes to food. Except for cooked spinach. Its just never settled well with me and is kind of stinky. Now fresh spinach in like a salad or something is delicious." Vyth gave a knowing nod of her head. Cooked spinach just....it was just gross. Looking at it, let alone smelling it made her want to vomit. So she hoped there was no cooked spinach. "I mean, I don't mind if its like little bits mixed in with a meal. But a big ol' glob of it just..." She shuddered.
Tugging at the bottom of her jacket she beamed. "Awesome. Its a pretty clear night so we'll be able to see the stars and all that jazz." Vyth had no real problems with going to the park after dark. Sure there were powered people's that patrolled the area a lot, but as long as they didn't have those white wings she wasn't too worried. As long as she could find cover or something distracted Gabe enough to where she didn't have to transform in front of him.
It would be just her luck that one of those Eternals or someone like them would show up to spoil her evening.

Gabe laughed. "I'm sure they'll have plenty of things that aren't cooked spinach." He said. "My thing is calamari. So gross, why would you want to eat squid? Fried or not." Just, ew alienish tentacles. No thank you.
"Yeah, it'll be really amazing." Gabe agreed. He was grinning like an idiot now. So far so good, though he was half-sure some Senshi would show up to ruin their plans. Or worse, a Negaverser looking to drain them. That would just be awkward. He really didn't want to meet any of his comrades the way he'd met Benitoite.
Plus, he'd have to get away to transform, since he was pretty sure transforming in front of his girlfriend broke the "don't talk about the Negaverse" rule. In spirit, if not in letter.

"Its not too bad. A little rubbery but not certainly my favorite thing to eat. Although I probably wouldn't pass it up if I were starving and that were the only thing around to nibble on. Besides you I guess." Vyth gave him a cheek grin before she glanced out the window. Watching the street lights pass by. It was nice to get out of the dorms. Especially on a date.
"So....what did your parents say when you told them you had a date?" She was curious. From the way he talked about himself it seemed like him telling them he was going out with a girl would be a bit of a shock for them. It was cute none the less though. Perhaps she would have to plan a visit to his home sooner rather than later so that they didn't think she was imaginary.

"Ehh, I just, ew. Rubbery and nasty." He said. Then, he made a noise that sounded like a mix of a snort and a cough. "Er, as long as you're not eating me," he said, giving her an awkward smile.
Ah, she had to ask about his parents. "I think my dad thinks you don't exist. My mom is deliriously happy, though. I'm a little concerned that if you meet her she'll start asking about wedding dresses." He was only partially joking.

A mischievous glint came to her eyes as she leaned over just a bit, giving his ear lobe just a tiny nibble. "Oh no, I wouldn't eat you. I'd just nibble here and there."
With a laugh she leaned back into her seat. "Well then, I guess I'll just have to prove to him that I am real. As for the wedding dress well..." She left it at that. Give him something to toss about in his mind for a bit. Although it probably didn't surprise her that he made that comment about his mom. Some mothers were just that way one would suppose when it came to their sons. Of course, her father would probably be in denial if the whole wedding dresses topic came up.

Gabe squeaked a little when she nibbled on his ear, blushing fiercely. "Well, that's okay I guess," he said. Yup, this was faaaar beyond anything he had ever dealt with before. Though really, it was in the best way possible.
Oh, he had a very terrifying image of her meeting his parents. His father would be shocked, but his mother... "Well, hopefully my mother won't smother you in too many hugs," he joked. He could almost picture her enthused response to her son dating an Actual Girl.
He wondered what she would think if she knew he was kind of dating two.

She laughed at his squeak and the sudden red flush on his face. Vyth had met several guys that were exactly like Gabe was, but she hadn't really invested herself in them quite as much as she was doing with him. Eventually though, he would probably get used to the physical contact and playfulness. Perhaps even playing back, but Vyth rarely blushed or got flustered when it came to those kind of things. If it wasn't obvious already.
Another laugh with a small shake of her head. Vyth raised her eyebrow curiously with an almost 'are you serious?' look on her face. She would have figured by now Gabe would have at least dated one girl before her. But maybe that wasn't the case. If his mother and father were reacting the way he said then...
"Well, hopefully my father won't smother you in concrete." Grinning, of course she was joking. Well, partially. Her father did have....certain business practices that were best not mentioned. One didn't get a head without busting a few knees here and there.
