Eternal Sailor Alastor
Location: C8
Action: Struck by lightning ; voluntary KO ; still on the field
Total: N/A
HP: KO

“What?” Alastor glanced down at the blood already staining the white of his uniform. “Oh, that. No, that’s fine, don’t worry about that. Papercuts,” he said dismissively. He had yet to lower the shield, in part because he didn’t want to do so prematurely, but also because his body was protesting.

Papercuts that sure knew how to bleed, but Alastor’s mood implied no great concern for them.

The necklace Sessrumnir wore had a somewhat increased pulse, but it had picked up when Alastor rushed to grab the shield. It wouldn’t have been surprising to think he was still worked up from that.

Alastor turned away from them to peak around the scale, but finding no more barrages en route, he finally lowered it and dropped it to the ground. His sleeves had protected him somewhat, but his arms and hands had taken a great deal of small damage.

Instinctively, he wiped them off on his pants, but he had the distinct impression that something was off.

He glanced at the boys but they seemed fine. He looked to the sky, but there were no more projectiles.

And yet, something was off.

His skin felt hot so he brushed himself off but that didn’t help. It made him a little more aware of some of the damage he’d taken and–oh, Sessrumnir was going to be so upset when he found the sharp, jagged splinter of one of the scales embedded in Alastor’s side.

Well, no matter, that would heal. He just wouldn’t touch it for right now. If he held his sleeve right, the boys probably wouldn’t even see it. There were a few smaller ones down his leg but he shifted to put weight on it and it felt fine. Well–no, it felt like s**t, but he’d been through worse, so it was fine.

“Sess,” he said, and looked like he was debating. He really needed to attack again, he couldn’t just be standing around like this. “Do you feel–”

The black lightning struck him before he finished the sentence. It was sharp and fast, wrathful, and his body went rigid as it surged through him. His head tipped back slightly and his fingers curled, but he grit his teeth and withstood it with a grim determination. Sessrumnir had moved at some point, but Alastor’s vision had gone black. He felt him, even if he didn’t see him.

Even as the lightning left his body, Alastor still stood. For a moment, he forgot how to speak–and then, he coughed, twice. He felt like he was drifting in water but when he blinked, he could make out Sessrumnir’s shape. “Actually,” he coughed again. “I think I need to sit down. Just give me a minute. I’m fine,” he said again.

Except, his eyes glazed over.

Suns turned to moons, and moons to stars, and there was a galaxy in his eyes.

But there was nothing of him in them.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter

Lucien - Humanoid Form

Something was wrong. He felt the prickles of something. The hair along his arm was standing up.

He saw the lightning strike Alastor as if in slow motion. Black and deadly. He remembered what Serenity said about how those who had been struck were lucky to survive.

Sessrumnir moved without thinking. He knew he couldn’t shove Alastor out of the way in time, but he could try to divert some of the lightning. He didn’t even know if this kind of magical, otherworldly lightning conducted well through metal, or if his sword hadn’t already been tempered to withstand shocks, given its origin.

It didn’t matter. He felt his stormglass shift and change form in his hand, and he thrust the broadblade into the air.

He felt the tearing and splitting immediately, and he gnashed his teeth shut against the pain of the energy that split off from electrocuting Alastor and instead into and through the blade.

His heart was racing. What was he supposed to do if this wasn’t enough?

His hands were scorched, his body was convulsing as the lightning coursed through him.

Before Alastor had arrived on Earth, Sessrumnir knew he’d been in a bad place emotionally. Even after he’d arrived, before they’d gotten to know each other, and after Empyrean had been killed, there were times Sessrumnir’s thoughts turned dark, unable to find any kind of light. Like he was drowning, being sucked down into the depths.

But slowly, over the course of months, they’d gotten to know each other. Michael had Devyn’s back, and Devyn had his.

Until now.

There hadn’t even been anything he could do. How was he supposed to stop lightning?

He stared, unable to do anything as Alastor stood and coughed and then--

Lucien was fast on his feet. While Sessrumnir drew some of the electricity to him instead, Lucien rose to his feet, then lunged forward to catch Alastor before he collapsed to the ground. and wrapping his arms around him to dilute the lingering sparks that danced over his body.

He held his bonded as Sessrumnir dropped his sword and quickly moved closer.

As if from a fleeting dream, the thought of holding Alastor like this before flickered through his head, although when the Senshi was much smaller. A young boy. Lonely and in mourning. With the weight of the world on his shoulders. Lucien’s bond could have never been forgotten or broken, but his memories were fragmented now, after hundreds of years.

But this… this memory was quickly becoming more vivid.

“He’s alive, still,” Lucien quickly reassured a ghostly white Sessrumnir. “I would have felt the temporary break in our bond if he wasn’t. However,” he frowned, brushing Alastor’s hair from his face. He didn’t have to voice what Sessrumnir could clearly see.

Alastor had moved into another realm, it seemed. Or at least beyond the consciousness of where they were now.

Even though Lucien seemed confident that Alastor was alive, Sessrumnir still moved closer to reach for him. His hands were bloodied and raw from where the lightning tore them apart. He hadn’t even noticed his sword slipping from his hands until he tried to flex his fingers. He reached up to brush Alastor’s hair back from his face. With his other hand, he reached for one of Alastor’s.

He didn’t know what was wrong with his eyes. If he wasn’t terrified of Alastor being beyond saving, the sight would have been mesmerizing. Instead, they seemed like a depth Sessrumnir could not reach.

A small pulse against his chest drew his attention, and he moved his hand from Alastor’s face to the orb with gold floating inside. A piece of Alastor’s core. It pulsed warmly in his hand, still rapidly from before, but there.

Devyn? Come back. I love you,’ he tried, hoping for something -- anything -- that would reach where Devyn was.

Then the images came. Slow and unclear at first, but soon Sessrumnir could see where Alastor was. Or at least that was what he could assume.

And he could see the Dark Star before him.

You have to come back,’ he tried again, a little more desperately this time, squeezing Alastor’s hand. And although Lucien didn’t seem too thrilled about relinquishing Alastor to him, Sessrumnir pulled his husband into his lap and held him against his chest.

He didn’t like the images he could see. He didn’t like the feelings they brought. The hopelessness. The despair--

Sessrumnir didn’t know what to do, so he thought the first thing that came to mind. An old poem he’d once shared with Alastor… Anything to try and keep him grounded.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep... and miles to go before I sleep. Come back to me, Devyn…

Super Sailor Surtur of Desolation

Although helplessness flooded the field when the Earth and Moon were hidden from view potentially destroyed, Surtur still gave a joyous cheer when Acrucis drew to her more power. He could feel the warmth of her magic over him.

“Very good! I knew you had it in you, Acrucis!” cheered, and then clapped a hand on Beira’s back with encouragement.

“We shall end this. Come! Let us go forth and bring this Calamitous Hollow down.”

He charged forward with another attack, because that was all they could do now. They needed to get this threat taken care of before they could dare to think about what next.

Xyla - Mauvian (Feline)
Location: E6-E7
Action: Literally doesn’t know what hit her, her spirit left her body before Desiree hit the ground, but her body is still on the field. Talking to the Dark Star.
Total: N/A
HP:27-26(prompt)= 1-12 (Desiree got hit by lightning and was holding Xyla) = 0

All at once, everything seemed to slow down until the lightning stopped and the clouds were frozen in place.

A bated breath held in anticipation.

Then, without warning, everything seemed to happen in a single blink of her eye. An enormous electrical blast shot out from the Calamitous Hollow, aimed at the Rarth. There was an explosion that sent a dark electrical wave of clouds rushing towards them. Lightning resumed, fiercer than before, and this time more deadly,y as screams were heard and suddenly silenced.

Xyla tried to tuck her head beneath Desiree’s chin when her companion (General*Chalcanthine) fell to the ground beside them. But she had no time to comfort her newfound friend before they too were struck by a stray bolt.

Her body seemed to sigh as she fell limp in arms that held her so protectively.

But death did not claim her, not yet.

Detached from her corporeal body, Xyla looked up a most terrifying sight to behold, and yet she felt more cautiously curious than afraid. A Dark Star crackling with purple energy loomed above her, and all she could do was sit, tail wrapped around her paws like a lady as she stared up at the anomaly.

“Which way will you spin, I wonder… toward ruin or rebirth?” She mused aloud, not expecting a response, she then added. “Are you the end of the story… or the start of another?”

Hatsya(Sunstone) - Super Senshi of Swordplay
Location: G9
Action:Due to Hatsya's approved special action, she reduces the damage taken by all lightning strikes this round by 10hp - Prehnite, Sodalite, Actea, Hylonome
Total: N/A
HP: 61 - 26 = 35 - lightning = 0

Hatsya

She turned towards Prehnite and his furious gaze, fully expecting a deserved verbal lashing for having taken no action against the Calamitous Hollow. Everyone else had at least done something; Hylonome’s heal eased the effects of the electrical shockwave, Sodalite attacked with his weapon, even Acatea used her magic not knowing how effective it would be against the god-like serpent, and Phrehnite cast magic she didn’t know he had.

But there was no verbal warning, no words of demand to prove herself useful.

Instead, his tone was somehow softer as he bit past the pain, you owe me a date after this, do you hear?

It took a moment to register what he said, certain she had misheard him. But he stared at her in a way that expected a response. Sunstone’s expressions softened, a small smile tugging the corner of her lips.

If we survive this… I’ll go with you. she agreed with a small nod. Even if all I deserve is to tell you how sorry I am Her words so soft spoken that her voice was easily drowned out by the crash of lightning, the cries of anguish, and angered voices.

Sunstone then turned her attention skyward towards the Calamitous Hollow so Prehnite could not read her lips for what she said next.If this is to be our end, I hope to meet you in another life so I can treat you better.

“Swords of Dispel and Siphon” she spoke the name of her strongest spell, summoning two ethereal swords, one in each hand.

For as much as she wanted to attack the creature that had attacked her home and family, Sunstone knew that her magic was diminutive compared to the power it possessed; even Queen Laurelite paled in comparison, though she did significant damage to it. Instead, she focused her attack on the black lightning that threatened the lives and very existence of her team; first Sodalite, then Hylonome, with what speed she possessed, she dashed toward Acatea to mitigate incoming damage before teleporting above Prehnite.

Sunstone deflected as much as she could before her magic disappeared. But the storm was relentless and her body hurt, muscles strained and weak from the electricity that had passed through her.

“At least this time it was my choice,” Sunstone’s breathing was labored, but there was contempt in her eyes as she knew the storm would not let her defiant act go unpunished. Too injured to move, there was no evading the lightning strike that descended upon her, and in a flash of light, she too disappeared.

General Carminite
    Location: G3 → F4
    Action: Attacking CH, following Wolframite
    Total: 4 + 10 (rank) = 14
    HP: 61 - 16 = 45/150

The General wasn't sure what they'd just witnessed, but it simultaneously devastated and enraged him as he settled his red gaze on the Calamitous Hollow, sitting just above them. Briefly before the black lightning started ripping into their gathered forces. Ripping into him.

Carminite clenched his jaw, fighting down a grimace as he turned to Wolframite. "I'm right behind you," he said, just before leaping up and taking another swing at the snake. And he was, as soon as his feet hit the ground.

Captain Staurolite
    Location: H3 → F4
Action: Attacking CH, shocked at Lav's death, carrying her to safety with him (with Shan's permission)
    Total: 2 + 5 (rank) = 7
    HP: 75 + 22 (Lav's heal) - 18 = 79/125

Staurolite had chanced one more attack against the snake before landing beside Lav. This time out of anger and desperation. It wasn't unlike trying to stand up to a bully, he thought, when he felt the General take his hand. It was soothing against the lightning strikes, her water magic, and when he turned to her he gave a nod of his head when she laid out a plan for them–regroup.

"Good idea," was his reply, but no sooner had she let go was she immediately struck down by a bolt of lightning as well.

The Captain froze for a few seconds, eyes wide and horror-struck at the sight of General Lavendulan, crumpled down on the ground just in front of him. He fought back tears–this wasn't the time or place, he thought as another bolt struck nearby. But there was no way in hell he was leaving her, so without a second thought he reached down and picked her up, hoisting her over his shoulder in a fireman's carry before making a break back toward the Queen.

"General!" he called when he spotted Wolframite and another agent (Carminite) along the way, voice barely holding together. "She…she–"

Eternal Murikabushi of Hunger
Location: E10.
Action: Emotions, mostly.
Total: N/A for this post
HP: 81 / 150 (66 +15 from Aberdonia’s shields)

Murikabushi needed to scream.

He needed to cry.

He needed his ******** Yuki, because he needed a safe, warm chest to collapse onto, where he could just weep without fear of judgment—or knowing himself, more likely shake all over without remembering how to let himself just cry, even in the safest place in the entire universe for him to do so, the one place he knew wasn’t tainted or broken or alienated from him because what if Faustite figured something out and looked up the family and where he didn’t need to be Cool, Strong Eternal Murikabushi, he could just be totally normal, boring-a**, unspecial Kiyoshi Sakurazawa, who waited too long in believing that Elior would obviously never feel the same as he did, and now it was too late, and, and and……

Aruna grabbing his hand made Murikabushi gasp. He almost jerked back from the touch, but his reaction time wasn’t the best. She succeeded in curling his hand around……something? When he uncurled his fingers, he blinked down at the healing berry from Almadel as if he couldn’t comprehend its presence ******** whatever.

Deep breaths.

To paraphrase the words of Saint Freddie of Kensington: this was neither the time nor the place for Murikabushi to be behind the curtain, in the pantomime. Not when he had Aruna and Tianyi looking to him for strength and guidance and optimism in the face of insurmountable odds. Not when Aberdonia and Elkurud were putting so much of themselves into protecting everyone. Not when Mönch and Tempesti and Elsa had already given everything they had for this fight. Especially not when Aruna looked up to him so much. She saw him as the cool, older, more experienced senshi who was always strong, no matter what. Who knew what would happen if he let her down by acting like the ******** disaster area he felt he was?

Freddie put on a strong face for the public while he was literally dying from AIDS, Murikabushi silently told himself, so you can pull yourself the ******** together while dealing with one ******** c**k who needs his serpentine ego deflated yesterday. The Show Must Go On, b***h, so let’s do the damn thing.

Deep breaths.

When Murikabushi looked back up, he met Aruna with a megawatt smile, radiating optimism almost to Kaifeng’s level (……only almost, though; Murikabushi knew damn well he couldn’t hope to radiate Kaifeng’s level of optimism and good vibes). “Damn right we’re gonna do this,” he told her, projecting his voice for everyone else to hear as well. “Harold started this fight, and we’re just finishing it. We won’t let Tempesti, Mönch, and Elsa give their lives for this fight in vain. They didn’t go gentle for Harold, so neither. will. we. Everybody with me?!”

Murikabushi still felt like he had a hurricane of agony inside his chest, but………whatever. This was fine.

This was fine.

This was completely. mother. ********. FINE—because ******** his gay little feelings, he had to be fine. Too many people relying on him. Too many responsibilities to let himself fall apart.

This was fine.

DMS Eternal Melpomene
Location: E7
Action:
Total: 3 + 10 (rank) = 13
HP: 17

Watching as the lieutenant fell was a shock, though he didn't know her like his partner did, he knew that would hit Chalcanthite hard. He had slowly, carefully, selected people to bring in and make his team with. This was going to hurt his partner more than he could imagine, and hoped he could bring him around from it, because he didn't know if that lieutenant was alive or dead. When he saw the attack on earth the gasp that left him, the shock he felt, he felt like the ground had just been ripped out from beneath him. They'd failed...were people dead now because of that?

Turning stunned eyes onto his partner it was just in time to watch them go down, to what he didn't know but could assume. He hadn't seen what had hit them but he knew he'd felt a strike again himself as well, grit his teeth against it even as pain raced through him, and he sunk to his knees as he reached for his partner. "You idiot, and you were worried about me." Pausing, stunned, he stared for a moment. He'd heard his name, a whisper of the others voice, was it his imagination?

Moving to lay himself over the others body the blond stared at everything going on around them for a moment. Others were falling, some were vanishing, and it felt like everything was going to fall apart...like they'd failed and had lost. But they couldn't have lost...he had to continue on even if it was alone. His eyes had already found Aoede and he knew he needed to survive this if only for her and his father...for Desiree. It was knowing he had others to stay around for, to fight for, which brought him to his feet but now he had his partners bow in his hand and he'd grabbed an arrow as well. He didn't have practice with it, maybe he should have asked in the past, but he did his best to imitate his partner before letting an arrow sail towards the monster.

Corrupt Human Mauvian Katya
Location: A6
Action: With Wadeite and attacking the beast with a book..lets see how that goes.
Total: 1 + 10 (rank) = 11
HP: 39-26-19 +25= 19hp

Katya had been watching things go on around her, there was little she could do, she was just a mauvian even if she had feet and hands and could stand upright at the moment. She still wasn't as strong as others and lacked magic. She wished she could do more, she'd been tinkering about trying to figure out what a few other mauvians had managed over time, but thus far she had not been able to achieve it. Right now those thoughts, the failures, crept in on her as she watched the beast lash out and attack the earth directly. A cry of shock passed her lips, her ears tilted back, she felt her hair stand up along her arms and on her ears. Her tail lashed behind her. She could only imagine Rene back home wit hthe bunnies, was this something he could see? Would this harm him and the home they'd all made for themselves?

Shaking Katya watched as Spectrolite fell and than another fell around her and Wadeite was tossing his little pouch to her. "I'm fine!" She called out, shouted after him, she made to follow him before being struck by the same lightening he was, which pulled a pain howl from the mauvian, she lay on the ground for several moments unaware of how she'd gotten there. She'd felt the pain, she knew that, and the ground hitting her knees but she hadn't actually felt her legs give out under her. Laying there she took a moment to gather herself, blinking slowly, she could see him vanish and she wondered for a moment what she was goign to tell his fiance. What about Benitoite?

The shock was slowly pushed aside as she reached out towards where he'd just been. Her hand landed on something, a scale, and it was moved out of the way roughly by her. Swiped out of the way there was something else on the ground, just under the scale, it was a chunk of rock...crystal? She wasn't sure but there was a power to it. It wasn't normal and it had to have come from the beast up in the air...the beast which had attacked Earth and had removed Wadeite.

The stone was grabbed tightly in her hand and from subspace something else was called forth. It was an egg, something she'd found amongst what Rene had in his shop, it had come from his home and Katya being who she was had decided to keep it - to make it hers. She had been tinkering with it for some time now, after removing the original inner workings of the egg, but now she was opening it and placing the rock into it. Watching as it came to life, in a manner of speaking, she dragged herself up and onto her feet as she held the item close and tried it...

And where she had stood as a human mauvian she now stood - a mauvian senshi. From the pouch Wadeite had thrown her way she took the berry out, noticing the weight of the pouch, and consumed it quickly.

User Image

Looking over herself she sent the egg to subspace and flexing her hands she watched as her nails grew, nearly an inch and a half in length, and threw herself at the beast to attack.

Arcalís, DSS of Adversity
Location: E10.
Action: attacking the CH. Eating Almadel’s berry. Something else for Madriu, mayhaps?
Total: 18 (rollx2 for DSS wild magic)
HP: 52 / 100 (59 – 26 from the Calamitous Hollow’s attack +15 from Almadel’s berry +16 from Elkurud’s shielding +15 from Aberdonia’s shields – 18 from black lightning – 9 for DSS magic backlash)

Watching the shields come down, Arcalís flinched away—and he hated that reaction in himself. Anyone else, he wouldn’t have judged for trying to avoid getting hit by anything as the shield fell apart. But he’d fought worse monsters for years in the senate, standing against his own people to liberate the Madriuans from Arcalian tyranny. Flinching away made him feel weak. Helpless. Afraid.

Everything he’d struggled not to feel.

Everything he’d ever choked down feeling with Mauritz because you couldn’t let that man know when he was having his exact desired effect. Mauritz only respected strength in others, and so Lilitu had needed to meet him with strength. Even when the sweet boy for whom Mauritz professed so much admiration—so much love—sounded nothing like the person Lilitu thought he was. Then again, he thought he’d known how love felt too, but whatever Mauritz called love hadn’t always felt like love.

But that wasn’t important.

Summoning up all his strength—the last of what little magic he still had available to him—he reached out toward the Calamitous Hollow and threw out a spell. Whatever it was about this place, or maybe about Arcalís’s magic, throwing out that attack hurt him. The black lightning that struck his palm hurt even worse, drawing a scream out of him as it crashed through his body.

But when he opened his eyes again, there was Madriu.

Arcalís smiled. Everything in his body and soul hurt like ******** Hell right now, but Madriu could still make him smile. “I’m still here, migadye,” he said, reaching up to nudge some of Madriu’s hair off his face. “In pain, but still here. Still—look, here.”

Taking the merchant’s berry out of the velvet pouch, Arcalís popped it into his mouth. Even as he choked it down, he felt slightly better.

And on a wild impulse, he leaned up to steal a quick kiss. He savored it, for the moment that he held onto it. But they had more battles to fight and couldn’t hold such moments forever. Just—he needed Madriu to know. “I won’t leave you again. Not unless you want me to. I promise you this on my mother’s eyes and thirty generations of Samaras who came before me, troublemakers all the way down.”

Every single one of them an inspiration.

Squire Santa Maria Novella of Ganymede
Location: G8
Action: Going in to attack the beasty.
Total: 4 + 5 (rank) = 9
HP: 40 - 14 = 26hp

So much was going on it was impossible for him to keep track of. He the clouds parting and he saw as the monster let loose an attack on Earth - they had failed. While he wouldn't have minded if his family died, there was not a bit of love between himself and them, the idea of Earth being attacked and being being harmed or killed struck something in him. He didn't like people, not really, but that didn't mean he wanted people to suffer, he didn't want to see Earth devoured by this beast. Gritting his teeth as others spoke up around him, as his mentor was pushed out of the way before she could be hurt, he heard another giving something of a pep talk...or just words of encouragment which he felt were fitting right now.

After seeing Earth attacked a nice reminder that al lwas not lost wasn't misplaced, not really, as he was sure some needed it. That was to say he wasn't one of those people, he might be a bit in shock but he wasn't letting this bring him down. It just meant those who remained standing had to do even more, had to carry more weight on their shoulders, and that was fine by him. He'd never relied on other people anyway.

Having summoned his cane back to himself he again used it much like a spear and threw it at the beast while tripping over a scale, he hadn't been looking at the ground, and catching himself right before he could face plant the knight grabbed up the scale and sent it to subspace. It would be worth keeping and perhaps he could use it for some project later, because he was certai nthere was a later, he just didn't know what later was going to look like once this was all over with.

Looking to those in his little group, much as he disliked the idea of being part of a group, he was trying to take note of who was still with them.

Deep Space Eternal Sailor Helene
Location: H5
Action: Attacking the Calamitous Hollow; DSS magic! Also using Almadel's berry~
Total: 5 x 2 (DSS) + 10 = 20
HP: 70 - 26 - 15 (lightning) - 5 (DSS) + 15 = 39

Helene had hoped to never witness another world falling.

This was not the slow death he had seen of his own—this was an instant, a storm, total and sudden obliteration.

All that was left was to hope. To hope that their defenses had been enough. That Almadel’s satellites had successfully repelled such a powerful blast.

Helene turned to Kaifeng, searching his face, and he hoped that his beloved, too, knew that there was still a chance. Helene harbored deep affection for Earth; it was the palace where he had found Kaifeng again. The place where he had met their motley mess of housemates, all of whom were special to him. The place he could now call home.

He hoped, against hope, that he had not lost a second one.

He was reassured, at least for a moment. And when Kaifeng leaned up to kiss him, he smiled, warm and fond. His beloved’s concern was well taken, but for the moment…

“I will hold,” he said, “and it seems I am not our only healer.” Surtur’s friend Acrucis looked radiant in her new power, and she seemed to be doing well to help those with them.

So, he would fight. The faster they brought this thing down, the more likely it was that they would all escape alive, to find whether their world waited for them or not.

His magic leapt from his fingers, and he flinched as it did—it seemed to take much more from him than he was used to, here, but if it was stronger for it, that was a fair trade.

The black lightning came down all around them, and while Kaifeng was able to dodge it, Helene was not so lucky.

Lightning struck him, and he staggered, gasping in surprise—but he was still on his feet.

He could still keep going.

He, too, popped his berry into his mouth, glad for its healing relief.

“We will make it home,” he promised Kaifeng. “Together.”

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Inhibit Vice!
Helene speaks the name of his attack, and makes a sweeping gesture with his hand. Enemies within a 15-foot radius of him feel overcome by inhibition, as if every action they might take would be shameful and worthy of judgment. This feeling lasts for 35 seconds, and Helene can use this attack twice per battle.

Knight Gorner of Castor
Location: E9
Action: Going in to attack the beasty
Total: 1 + 10 (rank) = 11
HP: 40

As much as she wished thigns would go easy now, seeing as the serpent like monster had been flopping about, it seemed the end would not come so easily for it. It still wanted to fight and it did so well. It attacked the earth and people were being struck by lightening and going down, some bodies were on the ground while others vanished, it was chaos as far as she was concerned. Gorner was nervous as she reached out towards her partner. If they survived this, if there was anything left on Earth, than they were taking a vacation and they would spend some time on themselves and their life. They had the funds, and the time, to build themselves something and Gorner wanted to do that. Perhaps it would be time to talk about a home even. But first they needed to survive this.

The knight settled for grabbing a scale she found and hurling it back at the beast with as much force as she could, her own magic aiding her in doing so. She, unlike some, was not at all interested in the scales aside from using them as a weapon. Damn beast was dropping them on them and hitting people with scales - it might as well get h it with one in return.

Lieutenant Nekoite
Location: G6.
Action: attacking the Calamitous Hollow. hanging on!! doing his best!! healing with the berry, thanks!!
Total: 8.
HP: 9 / 100
  • Round 2: 16 +10 from Mirabilite’s shield +20 from Lanting’s heal = 46.
  • Round 3: 46 – 26 from the Calamitous Hollow’s general attack +2 from Mirabilite’s shield – 14 from black lightning +15 Almadel’s Berry = 9.

Everything going on right now had Nekoite dead terrified. None of this was like his video games at all. Like, okay, actually, there were several points of similarity, but usually, when the world you wanted to save got destroyed, that was kinda the end of the game?

So, the fact that the game still went on this time had Nekoite bepuzzled. But he also had to do his part in the co-op with his new Sunbro. Choking down the berry from the velvet giftbag, Nekoite really, really hoped that it was this Almadel guy’s version of a blood vial or an estus flask and it would help restore some of his HP.

Ilmari, Corrupt Super of Chastity
Location: A4.
Action: attacking the Hollow once more and barely hanging on.
Total: 6 +5 (second stage) = 11.
HP: 4 / 125 (34 – 26 from Calamitous Hollow general attack +15 (Almadel’s Berry) – 19 from black lightning)

Ilmari had absolutely no desire to eat the berry from the gift-bag pouch. Putting something of inherently dubious provenance in his mouth and eating it? Disgusting. ******** off and no thank you. But—with so many of the team dropping, including Tama and Haymitch, Ilmari couldn’t take the risk. Faustite had told them to trust Almadel, so even though Ilmari pulled a face akin to a child being asked to take overly sweet, syrupy medicine that never actually tasted like grape or cherry, Ilmari ate the berry.
