Guardian Cat. Xamira

The scroll materialized before Xamira in a shimmer of silver light, unfurling gracefully to reveal its cryptic message: coordinates and a time—11 PM.

Perched atop a sunlit windowsill, Xamira had been indulging in one of her favorite pastimes: a leisurely nap. The warmth of the afternoon sun had lulled her into a serene slumber, her latest fantasy novel resting beside her, pages gently ruffled by the breeze.

Blinking her sapphire eyes open, she stretched languidly, her lithe form arching gracefully before settling back down. Her gaze fell upon the scroll, and a soft purr of curiosity rumbled in her throat.

"Well, isn't this intriguing?" she mused aloud, her voice a melodic lilt. With a deft flick of her paw, she tapped the scroll, causing it to vanish as swiftly as it had appeared.

The coordinates etched in her mind, Xamira's thoughts swirled with possibilities. Her innate optimism bubbled to the surface. "An adventure awaits," she murmured, her tail flicking with anticipation.
Gaia Online

Glancing at the clock, she noted the time. There was still a while before the appointed hour. Enough time for a brief nap and perhaps a snack. After all, a well-rested and well-fed Guardian Cat is a prepared Guardian Cat.

As the hour approached, Xamira made her way to the designated location. The city was unusually quiet, the air thick with an unspoken tension. Arriving at the spot, she observed others gathering—Senshi, Knights, and perhaps more. Her keen eyes took in their varied expressions, sensing the mix of apprehension and determination.

With her characteristic grace, Xamira sauntered into the midst of the assembly, her presence both calming and reassuring. She offered a gentle nod to those who met her gaze, her demeanor exuding warmth and confidence.

Settling herself comfortably, she wrapped her tail around her paws, ready to lend her support and guidance to those who might seek it. Whatever lay ahead, Xamira was prepared to face it with unwavering optimism and the steadfast belief that together, they would overcome any challenge.

Corrupt Eternal Miyamoto

The message had arrived when he'd been home, at Lorcan's, he'd been staying with his partner since things got bad. Since energy draining had gotten easier, but the odds seemed even more stacked against them, because if they were all going to die than he wanted to spend the last bit of time with the only people in this life that he cared about. he hadn't made many connections since corrupting, having had to rebuild everything was no easy task, and he wasn't bothered by it. It made it easier when it came to deciding who to spend whatever remaining time they may, or may not, have left with. Now though the call had come and he'd looked to Omen for a moment. "You're coming. If we're going down I'm summoning the merchant and seeing if we can't escape." He could only hope Almadel would arrive in time, assuming he'd even arrive at all, and get them off the planet before it all went came to an end. He needed Omen near him just incase that, the worst case scenario, happened. Lorcan too had to come, he needed to get the General off Earth as well, he wasn't leaving either one behind. They both meant something to him, different but similar enough, he couldn't lose either.

When he did arrive at the gathering his hair was quickly manhandled and braided back so it wouldn't be too in his way. He wouldn't pin it up, even if he had a whole hoard of hair pins in subspace, he didn't want to have all the weight of his hair piled up in one place.

Moving across the grass he was nervous, undeniably so, and glanced over to the general. "If we survive this..." Trialing off, not sure what he wanted to say, there were so many things he could say, he shook his head finally and turned back towards the gathering group. The sky above didn't look good, the lightening looked so very off, nothing felt right and he could feel his stomach knotting up.

Squire Santa Maria Novella, Ganymede

This wasn't where he wanted to be, he'd rather be at his wonder, but insteadhe was here. Too many people, too many auras, he didn't like anything about this and he wasn't entierly sure what he disliked the most. He supposed it should be the serpent, because it wanted to kill everyone and destroy this planet, but he also didn't like al lthe chaos auras and all the people gathering. He didn't like people, didn't want to socalize, and it seemed there was some of that going on as people connected and perhaps said possible last goodbyes even? He wasn't sure but he was certain someone, somewhere in this all, was doing just that.

Rolling his eyes as he hung to the outskirts of the forming mass of people, ignoring those around him, his cane was held at his side as he leaned some of his weight on it. He'd done his best to not get hurt this week, or last week, and by some miracle he wasn't covering any bruises or other injuries. He was in good shape, for the first time in a while, it had been nice to see unmarked skin in the mirror for so many days in a row. He doubted it would last but that was fine, it was a bit odd really even if it was a nice sight, he just needed to be in good shape for whatever fight was coming their way.

Pale eyes looked up towards the sky, watching silently, what a sight...it would make a lovely painting if it wasn't so scary. Maybe...maybe when this was over he could try his hand at painting, maybe digital art, and see if he couldn't replicate it somehow.

Captain Cryptomelane + Ympe (personal youma)
Cryptomelane had been preparing for anything and everything. He couldn’t tell what he would need for whatever happened when the Calamitous Hollow touched down (or whatever it did), but he knew that he needed to be ready. Working with Industria meant that he wasn’t completely useless at creating some of the satellites that went up. That helped him to feel somewhat less like a waste of space (like a waste of the Negaverse’s energy and Amazonite’s efforts to train, like he was too weak and pathetic to be worthy of his very life, much less the light of grace—)

But that didn’t matter. Brother Horace wasn’t here to insist on any of those things.

He wasn’t here to try and will those things into becoming reality by insisting that he made things true by simply saying them.

Following the directives that had shown up on his tablet, Cryptomelane teleported to the specified coordinates shortly before eleven PM. Ympe rode along, perched on his shoulder and clinging to his hair, despite Cryptomelane trying to tell him to stay back in the Rift. This fight might have been dangerous, and Ympe wasn’t always certain how to handle himself in combat. Far from useless, he certainly had ideas and initiative. But Ympe also lacked much in the way of combat experience. For his own safety, Cryptomelane hissed once more for him to go back to the Rift, keep himself safe.

Nuh uh, ******** that,” Ympe huffed back, loudly clacking his teeth. “Mellie goes to the fight, so Ympe goes to the fight. Together, that’s how we murderize them!”

Cryptomelane rolled his eyes, but couldn’t bring himself to be too bothered. Who knew that giving a starseed to a youma who was trying to break apart a church’s Christmas display would earn him such a loyal companion.

Before he could ponder the question too much, a message popped up on his tablet. Taking selfies was something that did not come naturally to Cryptomelane, because he had very little experience with them. But Ympe recognized what was happening enough to grin and wave.

Ilmari, Corrupt Super of Chastity
Ilmari had felt like he was losing his mind for the past several weeks. Facing down the threat of this “Calamitous Hollow” thing had felt like the universe putting him in his place, to a certain extent. Like he was being given a firm reminder of his place in the universe, that he had been doing his best to work hard and claw his way up the ranks of the Negaverse, but in the grand scheme of things? He was tiny and insignificant. All his attempts at exerting some kind of control over anything amounted to very little. What did he really even have going for them?

(The stress had been great for his skin, though. Baz knew all too well what stress could do to one’s complexion, so it had motivated him to double down, getting extra attentive to his skincare routine. Moisturized and gleaming, the very outward appearance of thriving, even though he felt anything but. He’d taken a similar approach to the diet, clamping down on himself and holding himself to even higher standards than normal, lest he get wrapped up in the stress of everything happening right now and allow himself to slip up. Maybe he was tiny and insignificant, but if the world ended under this Calamitous Hollow monster’s storms, at least Ilmari would be tiny.)

When Faustite summoned the team to him, Ilmari was as ready as he could be. Which didn’t feel like very much, but he turned up right on the spot, only slightly off from Hestia. Faustite’s vitriol toward the White Moon, as expressed through Headache, attracted a raised eyebrow, but only because Ilmari couldn’t tell if that was emotionality on Faustite’s part, or some kind of show for the troops, or if maybe something had happened between him and his favorite “informant.”

Taking a deep breath and nodding, Ilmari banished that thought. It wasn’t his business, and wasting energy on it wouldn’t help in the fight to come. He didn’t answer with words; he simply stood at the ready, eyes checking everywhere around them and hands ready to either throw his magic or throw punches as necessary.

Captain Diaboleite

Diaboliete came at Benitoite's summon, twirling his new spear between his fingers. He was glad for it, glad that he had clearly demonstrated his capabilities in time to have an actual weapon and real power to face this beast.

Not that it was much, really, but he was pleased to see multiple General-Sovereigns present. Truly, it was all hands on deck; he hoped that by being here, and by putting in a good showing in front of so many higher ups, it might be a fine bit of career advancement.

And maybe if he focused on the career advancement, he could put aside the looming end of the world of it all. He was a single Captain, he was not going to turn the tide her eon his own. But he could still show up. He could still try.

"General," he addressed Benitoite, and then "sirs," for the other three present. Two Generals and a General-King, in their little corner of the field already. without a change in his serious expression, he glanced up at the sky. "I consider it a point of optimism that I cleared my schedule for tomorrow. It implies there will be a tomorrow."

Lete, Super DMS of Decadence
“It’s us against the world in a way, isn’t it,” Lete agreed, ducking under the tree branch that Hybris moved aside for her. Looking up at the sky, she couldn’t help but feel small. It wasn’t a good feeling. Made her stomach churn and set her nerves all alight with the sense that whatever was coming, they genuinely might not survive it. “I’d really, really love to popcorn our way through this one, but……” She shivered. “We might be really in it now.”

The crowd amassing all around here did nothing to assuage Lete’s nerves about the situation, either. Sure, there were some people out there who fraternized across the Order/Chaos line (herself among them), but seeing so many people gather like this, shoulder to shoulder with people they normally considered enemies? It sent a chill down Lete’s spine that made her huddle closer to Hybris. People only did crazy things like this when s**t was really serious, and yes, the visions that Lete had gotten to see in Mirrorspace—plus the assorted updates that people had shared on the compacts—had made it clear that things were serious?

Lete simply had the feeling that she might have underestimated exactly how serious things were getting.

“Whatever happens, I’m gonna protect you though,” she started—only to immediately get distracted by the sight of some familiar gingery hair. Tugging Hybris with her (gently! so as not to cause him any undue pain or stress!), Lete chased after them, calling out, “Deme! Deme, babe! Wait up!”

Snowball : Journal - Currently Cat Form (Has Sailor unlocked)
Niflhel Knight of Saturn : Journal

Niflhel sighed deeply as he arrived with Snowball on his shoulder. He was looking at the field and who was already here. He was concerned as he realized there were a lot of people already who out ranked him, a knight. He knew this was serious and he was tired.

It was always some big to do or perhaps a world ending or well most of the time just a possible life ending event it seemed. As almost nothing ever ended the world. This time might be an exception.

He was not comfortable with his and he shifted. The cat was sitting on his shoulders and he whispered. "******** is this really going to be the end?"

Snowball had come, riding Niflhel's shoulders as well he didn't want to get lost in this crowd. There were a lot of higher ranking people here already and it caused the cat to frown heavily. It also worried him that Niflhel had asked the question that was also on his mind.

Snowball finally took a breath and sighed, "Lets hope not." He hadn't seen this sort of harrowing experience in a while, things for the most part had settled down and became quiet. Why couldn't they stay that way?

Eternal Sailor Hugbell Transcendent Senshi of Comfort: Journal

Perhaps she should have expected it to arrive this soon. In a way it felt like years toiled as they tried to prepare but in other ways it felt like yesterday these weird storms had started to happen.

The senshi of comfort had wondered into the field as the throngs of people kept coming. She was looking at the groups and noted not only those who out ranked her but those who also were here. The group all had one goal. Survive. If the mission was to be a success, they'd all have to set aside their differences and fight the world ending snake.

The senshi who was almost always a ray of sunshine even felt worry on what could happen and what the turn of events here held. She also wondered, if they were successful would this turn into an all out war between the factions. She knew there were those who would not want to just stand by and celebrate with a piece of cake and ice cream if they saved the world.

There was a pause, how many people actually knew the world was ending? The senshi shifted her weight as she held onto Barnaby her plush bear, She'd had half a notion to allow him to walk freely but right now she needed to conserve every ounce of energy that might possibly be needed.

Heliodor, Corrupt Eternal Senshi of Ryuuto

No sooner had the message gone out was Cassian moving. The familiar summons came on the heels of him powering up and he followed that familiar pull to a hillside that was already dappled with an array of people from all factions. White mingle with black with an array of colors in between. It was a sight the corrupt never thought he’d see as people turned focus to the sky.

Heliodor had arrived only a few steps away from the gathering team. Hestia and Ilmari had already arrived but seemingly just moments before him. Others were soon to follow, but Heliodor’s attention settled on Faustite as the fiery being let loose his own frustrations at the ludicrous situation they were all being forced into. To think that they were to play nice with those who were order aligned? Ridiculous. Also, incredibly necessary in the instance. It galled, and Helio understood the flurry of words that his General King expressed.

“We’ll make it through.” He remarked as he swept his eyes over the crowd again before shifting focus to the sky. The blinking of lights as the satellites rose to create their protective barrier was quite a sight.

“So, do we know who it was who sent the message?” He questioned. “Almadel, perhaps?” His voice was pitched just loud enough that the team and anyone close by could hear, but not for it to carry too far. “I suppose it would make the most sense if it was him with how many people are gathering here now.”

It seemed he had turned his eyes to the sky for only a few moments, but already more bodies were filling in more space.

Magnus, Corrupt Mauvian

The Mauvian arrived with the help of the summons. Blue eyes quickly found the sight of the satellites that were built to offer some protection to the planet as the remaining ones rose up with blinking lights. It was a marvelous sight to see. A well orchestrated display of the many who were technologically savvy. Magnus was very pleased with the display and his little heart practically pitter pattered.

With so much happening around him and more people arriving, it became prudent that he keep himself from being stepped on. So, with hesitancy, Magnus moved his focus away from the sky and to the gathering team. Tail held high he slipped past Heliodor’s legs, gave Faustite a bit of berth so as not to become victim to the curved weapon held in his outstretched hands, Brushed past Ilmari’s legs before plopping himself near Hestia’s feet.

“Yes, well. Hopefully those satellites end up over performing for us.” He said, though the chances of that happening were incredibly unlikely. Still, he’d be lieing if he wasn’t excited to see how their combined technological efforts fared out.

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon
Amarynthos arrives with Ephesus and joins Reims

Amarynthos and Ephesus arrived separately from Sessrumnir and Alastor. After Ephesus’ run in with General King Jet, the two had doubled down on making sure no one knew of their relationship.

Neither he nor Amarynthos protested; Ephesus’ parents were in a different class than they were. It didn’t matter how much Mary trained, he was still years of experience behind them. Maybe those two felt comfortable against a General King but if it was just Mary and Effie, it was a significantly more unfair battle.

He held Ephesus’ hand when they arrived, because everyone must have already known that they were a set, and he hadn’t made enemies enough to be so concerned about someone trying to use Effie against him–or vice versa.

None of this was comfortable, though; there were so many energy signatures.

It seemed like everyone was taking this seriously.

They had, too. He’d said goodbye to his parents earlier; Alastor had ferried them to his homeworld. They hadn’t had much time to figure all of this out but it was better that way, they just would have worried for longer. They’d had a stream of reassurances, that everything was going to be fine and this was just a precaution. Alastor and Sessrumnir had sold it pretty well, and Amarynthos could say anything with a straight face. Even Ephesus had seemed hopeful enough. He knew his parents were worried, but they were safe.

And, when this was all over, maybe they’d get to take a real trip to Alastor.

Amarynthos spotted Reims almost immediately; he squeezed Ephesus’ hand reassuringly and guided him through the crowds so they could join him. “Hey,” he said, as friendly and warm as if they weren’t about to find out if they even could fight a giant snake.

Mont Saint Michel, Knight of Saturn; Eternal Sailor Malus; Dering, Knight of Lysithea
Michel, Malus and Dering arrive together; Dering joins Reims, Ephesus and Amarynthos while Michel and Malus stay nearby

As if Michel was going to wander too far from Malus and Dering when there were General Kings around. Five of them, wow. So cool. ******** overkill but whatever. The three arrived together, only because they’d just been out together.

Malus knew Reims had some last minute things to do, and though it had pained him to let him go, he knew he’d find him again out here. With his friends, sure, so he was in good hands. He was there to make sure Dering could find them, because he’d been adamant that wanted to come. Dering knew his friends would be here–and had obviously spotted them judging by the way he’d perked up just slightly.

They weren’t anywhere near the cluster of General Sovereigns and it hadn’t escaped Malus that Michel walked between them, as if he might redirect them like a sheepdog would with his herd.

As if he or Dering were going to willingly put themselves near any of them.

Michel watched with cold, unamused eyes. He looked like this was a bothersome thing, like he was annoyed to have to be here. His resting b***h face was full on active b***h face, but he’d made his fair share of enemies so big groups weren’t ever a lot of fun. He was smart enough not to give the impression that he cared about anyone he showed up with–Malus wouldn’t last as a target. Dering definitely wouldn’t.

Though Dering cast one glance back at them, as if to make sure it was okay, Malus only smiled briefly to reassure him. He caught Reims’ eye and smiled too, and almost even managed to look like he wasn’t dizzy with concern.

Dering trotted off, lute held tightly. He couldn’t see Jet but with so many General Kings already here, he wasn’t willing to be separated from his weapon. He needed it now, especially if he had any hope to keep his friends safe.

In some ways, it was a relief for this to be it. Dering had spent so much time worrying that now he was nearly numb to it. He didn’t know what the outcome of any of this was going to be but he was going to do his best. He was glad to be by Reims; he knew he was ferrying some people up to his Wonder to keep them safe, and asked quietly, “Did everyone make it there okay?”

Michel stayed back, not too far away. Malus stayed by him, even when Michel tried to shoo him off. It would have drawn more attention if Michel made a scene so he just let him.

Eternal Corrupt Albite

He thought rather gregariously, that if Mari and Mira ever dared to team up and do evil together? They could've maybe destroyed the world one 'in your lane', 'well-moisturized', and 'thriving' minute at a time. Whatever ******** beauty secrets their routines held? He was sure some sacrificial ritual must've been involved in order for Mari especially to look so damn k-pop idol, glass-skin, glowy in the impending world-ending light.

Maybe it's just that he looks good wearing more power---

But that thought felt dismissive of what could've been Mari's own hard work beyond the sheen of glamour, and so the words around it stayed lost within the sieve of his mind. Not the compliment, though--

The nigh automatic, "You're looking good, Mari." offered in burred tones, with a half-grin, there was no sidelining that. Nor his optimistic "And Hestia n' Helio are right, Firebrand---" that followed. His parade would not be pissed on today, certainly not by the severity of the skies rage and whatever twisted horridly beyond it; the way his husband seemed poised to match every piercing whip of purple with a voiceless crackle of his own.

The mood was hot to the touch, palpable in ways that bled--

"The shields'll hold...we'll hold..." careful of Magnus's gray-swish of a tail where it flicked past Hestia's perfectly shined flats as he wove his way through their little cluster, reaching shamelessly for his pair of boys. Fingers poised to tangle around the thick, knotted rope at Helio's waist. The heavily embroidered slash of Faustites capelet.

"Yanno--- if you two really wanna see Almadel so badly?" Slyly pleased, as though he'd found something better than sex to gift Faustite with. After all? Better than one birthday-gift was ten! Ribbon wrapped, at the ready, and he did hold some surprise for Helios interest, but maybe it shouldn't have been such a shock that their gently scared models favorite color was purple? "I do still have a card--" In a stage whisper that was anything but, not that Waru particularly cared how poorly-veiled his intentions were.

No, whatever lent him an excuse to be closer to the pair; to lean, and loom, and watch with soft eyes over theri sharp shoulders. How much better his boys were to look at than the skies which reminded him nothing of the Rift...

In Mirabilites personal opinion? Being potentially quote-'fUseless in a fight'-unquote, did not necessitate being sentenced to dying at home, alone; forever beautiful and un-singed by potential lightning strikes or whatever the 'doom serpent' of '<******** *your* sleep and beauty routine in particular' was bringing down. No matter how 'safe' or 'sanguine' the experience could've been. She'd continued to argue as much while trailing her boys and applying a generous layer of Fenty-battle-gloss to her pursed lips; at least one of Cryolites panic-stricken, mismatched-eyes made for a lovely, pale blue mirror to judge the applicae' when she held his face still enough to look.

If the severity of his thin scowl for her antics was anything to go by? Then she must've looked downright *deadly*. Especially in the present lighting!!

The world of late had felt like that one level of breath of the wild she hated playing most; all storms, and gray skies, but minus all the fun of being able to hit pause and walk away. Mira was sick of static-frizz and atmospheric-flyaways so fierce even her silkiest of pillows couldn't tame them.

No, this wasn't just about saving the world (if it was even that), this was strictly a self-care moment. She would help them (with sly comments and cheerleader flair. If they were all going to die they deserved to have some beauty at the end of it -- and she would provide that beauty god-damnit!) murder a *god*, or ********, in the name of vanity and spite alone!

Corrupt Super Sailor Mizuki of Lilacs

"Do you think my magic will effect the space snakie?" she asked the fluff ball of a Mauvian currently in her arms. Mizuki had not done anything to help this whole thing except doing some extra murders for energy, and honestly, the whole thing went over her head. Space snakes? World eating space snakes? Like she knew that space was giant but world eating space snakes?!

Would it like to be pet under the chin? Or was it one of those snakies that didn't want to be touched? Would it's tongue just spin the world super fast and kill everyone? Or would they just see a giant fang and maw open and then close? WOULD THEY END UP BEING MONSTRO'D?! Would they find a Pinocino finally who lied and cheated and fell prey to the moral failings of being a real boy!?

Granted, most things were lost on Haymitch. He was perpetually a kitten who never seemed to age and slept more than he actually did anything like his job.

His tail swished back and forth apprehensively. He didn't like this, didn't like this at all. A giant world eating snake? He didn't even like normal sized snakes! But one so big it could eat whole worlds?
