Corporal Caelyna
Location: F3
Action: Attacking the Hollow!
Total: 5 + 5 = 10
HP: 125 - 35 = 90

They could do this. They were doing this.

Caelyna glared after the woman who had slain Cydfae, and part of her—a part she was not proud of—wished that the Commodore had simply dismissed her aid. But they couldn’t afford that, here. Too much at stake for pride, she supposed.

But she would remember that face. And she would remember the mocking callousness. The absolute lack of any remorse, even in the face of people helping her.

Some people on Earth, Caelyna had come to conclude,

But at least there was a target. And although she didn’t have a ranged weapon like some of her fellows, the gravity of the arena seemed to be facilitating them upward.

So she leapt, and struck the monster with her scythe, and hoped that she made some small difference.

Super Sailor Solaris

    post 1 2 3 4 5 6
    Location: I7
    Action: Dealing with a... ?????
    HP: 65

The energy from the spike still continued to flow through her, keeping her heart rate calm, even as her mind registered she should probably have been panicking a hell of a lot thus far. The thought occurred briefly, and she grit her teeth--was she too overpowered by it? She wasn't sure how the others were dealing with this... well. That wasn't a very cheery thought.

Probably for the best she couldn't hold onto her specific trains of thought for too long. As it was, a small, dark form sat before her, and Solaris was vaguely aware of the furry little body...

She was a lot more aware of it on her shoulder, though, and actually laughed slightly to feel a small paw bapping at her ear. The oddity of it amidst a battlefield was... jarring, yes, but in a way that helped to anchor her. Her head turned slightly to peer at the small Mauvian, a smile lingering on her face even as she was confused. "What are you--? Wait... my pen?" She found herself able to move one of her her hands from the hilt, and in it, the blue, gold, and orange pen materialized rapidly from subspace. Her energy continued to flare, that heat in her chest still hadn't let up in the slightest...

Looking down at the clacking, vibrating pen in her hand, it finally started to click through her muddled mind just what was happening.

Brave? She brought it up to the Mauvian, the tiara at her forehead melting, reshaping, then crackling back into its normal state. Rinse and repeat, like the rest of her form. "I think the word you're looking for is reckless... but I like your spin on it. Don't suppose you could help me out with this?"

Eternal Sailor Victoria, Senshi of Glory : Journal
Location: A7
Action: Helping defend the spike; attacking the Hallow
Total: 2 + 10 = 12
HP: 150HP - 35HP = 115HP

Victoria was watching curiously as the Calamitous Hollow was struck by the dark mirror and the moonlight. Impressive but not nearly as impressive as their Queen. He was sure she was truly the most powerful.

Once things settled down he grinned listening to Ashanite's speech as he spoke that they were instrumental in bringing down the Hallow. Once the speech was finished Victoria was looking to see where the best point to strike would be.

However Aquamarine was quite sobering as Vicky looked over to the General who snarled - the senshi of glory nodded and made a mental note to make sure to stay on the grumpy ones' good side. He also watched Jet who told Ashanite to let him know if he needed a microphone. With that Vicky took off aiming for the underbelly of the beast, "For Glory or Death!"

For Glory or Death! - Victoria casts his magic and is given a glorious boost. To use the magic, he calls the attack name and must then run around the battlefield to power up. The more he runs, the faster he gets (up to x2 his normal speed). The magic lasts for 30 seconds, during which time he must both build up energy and attack to avoid recoil. When he has collected enough energy, he will begin to glow; he can release the energy in the form of a powerful shockwave. He must punch the ground in order to do this and a wave of energy will shoot outwards for eight feet in every direction. For everyone caught within the radius, they will feel as though they have just been struck with a powerful blow that sends them flying back a few feet and may also result in them feeling dazed/confused/winded for up to 15 seconds after the shockwaves are released. Players may choose to have effects last for longer, as well as choose to take on more extreme damage (such as sore muscles or fractures).

Captain Andesine
Location: A7.
Action: attacking the Calamitous Harold with her meteor hammer + Forgotten Spell.
Total: 2 +5 (second stage) = 7
HP: 90 / 125 (-35 for general attack)

The Negaverse was truly in fine form tonight. Even in the face of such ostensibly insurmountable odds—even staring down potentially apocalyptic situations such as this and reeling from the damage that the giant serpent inflicted across the field—Andesine couldn’t help but admire her leaders.

Queen Laurelite, first with the chaos cannon, putting the fear of Metallia into all the Order wretches and Mirror senshi, and then with her scythe. Whatever piddly burst of energy the White Moon had pulled out couldn’t compare, but it made sense that they had to try. All hands on deck, for one thing, and for another, they were probably jealous of the Negaverse’s might.

General Aquamarine, shouldering such a terrible burden with such strength.

General-King Jet, a picture of grace under pressure and leveling his own attack at the creature. Goals for any Negaverse officer with an ounce of sense in their head, honestly.

Then finally, and most important to Andesine personally, her own General, Ashanite. While likely not his longest monologue ever, his words made Andesine’s heart swell nevertheless. His confidence, his certainty in the Negaverse’s strength, the fear that he had to be striking into the hearts of those White Moon rats, who all wanted to sell out their planet for some alien d**k or whatever and apparently had never once considered that this might be a bad idea.

She beamed at her commanding officer, then watched in wonder as he leapt up at the invasive serpent—but only moments later, someone else’s voice played over……something? The sound seemed to be coming from one of the nearby White Moon senshi or Knights. And maybe she hadn’t seen the person attached to that voice in ages, but how could she forget him?

Andesine’s grip on her meteor hammer tightened. Dark clouds fell over her expression as it curled into a scowl.

“Oh, that traitorous son of a whore,” she snarled at no one in particular, briefly looking around. She couldn’t spot Monoceros easily, but whatever. She also didn’t have all day and attacking him would have been a waste of time. “If he makes it out of here alive, I’m going to make him wish that this universe-shredding phallic symbol had killed him instead.”

Maybe the frustration with Monoceros negatively impacted her judgment. Although she made the leap off the ground and toward the Calamitous Hollow, following Ashanite’s and Victoria’s examples, something in her swing felt off. Maybe not her best attack, but as she landed on the creature’s back, she swore to herself: she would do better with the next one.

Quote:
Forgotten Spell: At will, Andesine whips her meteor hammer and swings it at one target within a 20-foot radius, but does not hit them physically. Instead of physical damage, they are assaulted by a wave of magical force powerful enough to bowl over unsuspecting targets. A hallucination accompanies the force-wave: a powerful smell of rot, something like an uncleaned charnel house in the middle of an extremely humid August. This smell is incredibly unpleasant but illusory; it deals no extra damage and can be recognized as an illusion with focus from the target. This attack has three uses.

Magnus practically beamed with happiness as Queen Laurelite promised him a plethora of scales. Beyond the shininess of them, he could only imagine the usefulness! “Oh!! Yes!! Thank you. I can only imagine how useful they might be.” He practically wiggled in excitement in Niters arms.

The electricity that shot through the field burned even with Magnus safely in Niters arms. He didn't like it, and his fire felt like it was signed.

Still he joined the others in attacking, sending out a star blast.

Mauvian Cuán Oileán
Location: I7
Action: Giving Solaris some… assistance
Total: n/a
HP: still 65/100

“I said brave,” Cuan retorted. “And brave is precisely the word I wanted. And helping you is why I’m here.”

The kitten took it as a good sign that this senshi was able to smile and sass. Even if the sass was fairly mild. She watched as the girl’s form continued to melt and reform. Was the spike causing some of this? Cuan supposed it was possible. Certainly, she’d never seen anything quite like this before. Letting herself bounce to the ground, the lykoi turned and studied the vibrating pen before reaching out to lay a gentle, tiny paw on it, focusing all her attention on it and the starseed it was connected to.

“Oh my, yes, yes I see,” she murmured. Turning brilliant blue-green eyes to the senshi, Cuan smiled and nodded. “We’re going to get you all squared away, my brave one.”

Keeping a paw on the pen for a moment longer, Cuan closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath and focused. Yes, this would be the easy part. Finally, she nodded to herself and opened her eyes.

“Keep tight hold of the pen, please.”

With that said, she took a step back and leapt straight up in the air, twisting and turning as she reached out to the pen with her own brand of magic, demanding that it behave itself and take the shape it was meant to be. It was time to level up. And even as she did that, she landed lightly on the ground, all of her attention on the senshi’s… no, Solaris’ starseed.

Somebody was giving a speech and that was really nice, they seemed like a nice person. It was...Chilly's super powerful friend! Murikabushi who was on the moon! The sassy one with the glasses and ruffles! It was a little confusing for a moment, the snake man...

She didn't think she could hurt him, but she'd try not...well, puke on him, she guessed? Mönch offered him an unsure smile and said, "Hi!" in a squeaky voice.

And then there were very big weapons, the sight of the shining arrow filling her heart with enough warmth and clarity to give room enough for Murikabushi's words of hope and determination finally make their way into Mönch's head.

Especially once Chillingham jumped up to go, well, ham on it! They could totally do this! This was their time to make a stand! Anything else could wait! It was the end of the world and she felt FINE!

ISH!

"Yeah! Get popped you big noodle! POP OFF!"

Three huge kernels of corn shot up into the side of the snake and exploded, raining pieces of popcorn down on the area.

Eternal Sailor Solaris

    post 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
    Location: I7
Action: Embracing the old strength, attacking the Calamitous Hollow with a PARTICULAR "******** You Specifically"
    Total: ([10 x 2 [DSS] ] + 10 [3rd] + 1 [AoS] + 10 [Almadel's Pin] + 50 [Spike bonus]) x 2 [Metallic Bracelet] = 182 DMG
    HP: 65 - 10 [DSS] + 25 [rank up] = 80

Solaris gave a small snort of a laugh--brave. Maybe a rendition of. But she'd not argue with the small Mauvian. She appreciated the vote of support and confidence, and certainly appreciated the help. This wasn't exactly.... familiar to her. She could only watch in slightly distant silence as the feline placed a paw on her flickering, vibrating pen. She curled her fingers tight around it as directed, and as she worked her own magic that Solaris barely understood, the pen itself flared into light in response. It reshaped under the Mauvian's magic, solidified in a heavier form, winged and brilliant and familiar in a way she'd nearly forgotten.

If there were tears blurring her vision briefly, well. Enough of everything around her was a strange blur of magic and energy, so hey.

"Thank you," was the hoarse, thick whisper to the Mauvian (Cuan), full of a gratitude she couldn't properly word or even attempt to. Her smile was wide, a relief that lifted centuries of a weight, at least partially. Her world wasn't healed. They still had this creature to defeat, a planet to protect. But all of that felt a bit more assured. A bit more of a promise, of a when, rather than an if.

"You might want to get back a little bit..." she warned gently, offering a small scritch behind the feline's ear before she began to force herself to her feet. The strain was more painful than it had any right to be, but she refused to let go of the pen now. Around her, the energy continued to snap and wave, her form reshaping, melting, disintegrating, adapting... The burning in her chest was not in the least bit dampened, but she felt sure it'd be calmed soon enough.

Her hand on the hilt of the spike helped her leverage herself up, at least, a smile full of teeth and a promise as she looked up at the form of the Calamitous Hollow above. I won't see another world fall. She'd meant it.

"Solaris.... Eternal--" The words on her lips felt like a cry of triumph, words she'd not spoken in... in so, so long. Words she'd begged to have power again, pleaded to return to her and grant her the strength she'd needed so, so many times. Now that she could speak them again, without hesitation or fear, they were the sweetest words she'd tasted in centuries. "Make Up!"

User Image

The energy around her, within her, coalesced and condensed, altered and reshaped itself around her, through her, and her form no longer melted back or disintegrated back to its previous state. It held fast as translucent fabrics and curling gold and blues and white. The white bodysuit remained firm and solid, and she exhaled a sigh of relief to feel a surge of power she'd not felt since....

Solaris opened her eyes, and saw the rings and curling wing bracelet around her right wrist, saw the blue metal gleam and sent a silent thanks, one of countless, to Aelith.

Her head felt clear for the first time since grabbing hold of the spike, and she utilized that to the fullest now, removing her other hand from the hilt for the moment. She needed to get closer to the creature, after all, to do what she wanted. The burning in her chest settled into firm, fueling warmth--she knew how to utilize it to its fullest, even if she knew she wasn't back to her top strength yet. That was another when, not if. Flashing a wide, bright, delighted smile down to Cuan, she sent a wink to the Mauvian before launching herself up into the air.

She got up close to the shield, to the creature's body, massive as it was, but in that moment... she wasn't afraid. Maybe it was a high on the regaining of the power she'd missed for so long. Maybe it was just recklessness. Solaris cupped her hands, a spark hovering between them, and as she hissed the phrase to focus her magic, her smile was vicious towards the Herald of the Dark Star. The spark in her hands exploded outward, a massive explosion of golden energy and heat and pressure. Golden dust clouds shimmered and condensed in it's wake, mimicking the creation of stars. Solaris herself wasn't spared from the blast, not with the intensity of it now as it raced around her. It hit her full force, but she could feel how even the pin from Almadel seemed to melt into it, or whatever energy it held, too. Even the energy that had coursed through her from the spike added into the fuel, a surprising addition that was no less welcomed as she let it rip out of her, the resulting explosion flaring brighter, stronger than perhaps her magic had any right to be for how she currently was.

Solaris hit the ground again beside the spike, wings flexing in instinct against the fall but for as red as her exposed skin was from the heat of her own magic, pained as she was... Solaris was smiling brighter than she'd had in ages.

She was back.

The Big Bang
_________𝔈 Solaris holds up her hands like she's cupping something. A spark appears between them, hovering wherever in the air Solaris had positioned her hands. After five seconds of hovering, the spark is the catalyst that sets off a large explosion of golden energy that is extremely hot, and extremely fast. This energy rushes out in a radius of ten feet, leaving behind golden 'dust clouds' and even other sparks of light that seem like stars. For anyone caught in the radius of the blast, they are subject to blunt force damage and the sensation of blistering on exposed skin from the heat. The sensation of blistering will last for up to 45 seconds but players can choose to take lasting damage. While this hits all caught in the range regardless of faction, those who are Order-aligned might find they are somewhat shielded from the blast. Solaris can use this magic only once a day.

Dunwich, Page of Neptune
Location: I7.
Action: attacking the beastie.
Total: 10.
HP: 80 / 100 (-35 for general attack, +15 using Almadel’s berry)

Dunwich didn’t have much to add as the others around Solaris discussed their magic. She rather hoped that her being a Page spoke for itself. She didn’t have much to offer in general, really. While she had her weapon and determination, she couldn’t channel any magic as yet and in the face of the Negaverse’s Chaos cannon, the determination definitely wavered.

Her edging closer to d’If and covering his hand with hers, hoping no one else around them noticed, that came from fear. Fear of the Negaverse’s power. Fear of losing d’If to them again, if any of them remembered a traitor who was supposed to have died several years ago. Fear of the words playing from some nearby Negaverse communicator, the speech of some diabolical sounding General who claimed ownership over the Earth in the Negaverse’s name, who made it sound as though Order hadn’t done anything to help prepare for the fight against this creature. Fear of what their Queen could have done to the Order senshi and Knights on the field with that Chaos cannon if she’d had the chance. Would any of them have been able to withstand that kind of power? Dunwich didn’t feel like she could.

When they’d come out tonight, she’d felt certain that they would make it through the storm. But now, even with the Calamitous Hollow closer and easier to attack than ever, Dunwich had to wonder if she’d been wrong. Even popping the berry from the gift bag in her mouth failed to steady her much.

The biggest thing that made her question her own ideas came in the form of the Eternal senshi who’d joined their group last: Dagon of Dread. She seemed so composed in the face of a horror like this, and everything about her presence on the battlefield gave Dunwich a greater sense of calm. A quick tug on d’If’s sleeve to get his attention, and then she whispered “Babe, we should look her up after this, right? It’s not just me.”

Sufficiently motivated, Dunwich positioned herself below the Calamitous Hollow. Squinting up at a piece of exposed underbelly, she put all her effort into throwing her driftwood heart, and even allowed herself a quick fistpump when she landed a good hit.

Location: H7 -> G6
Action: With Corvina, Lanting, and Dunnottar. Attacking the hollow, then following Lanting
Total: 9 + 5 = 14
HP: 125- 35 = 90

Karakorum stared up at the sky.

It was hard, not to feel small in front of such a powerful creature. Hard not to wilt and quail, even with it weakened so. But the thing was, it was weak. It could be brought down.

Which meant that as stupid as his ******** gamer meme was, Lanting was right.

If it bleeds, it can die.

And they’d made it bleed.

Karakorum grinned, the sort of reckless and feral that could only come from the confidence of youth, and launched herself into the air.

“Eat this, sucker!” She shouted, drawing back her bowstring and launching her shiny new magic.

Quote:
Magic: While Karakorum channels her magic, her bow glows a soft silver. Ethereal silvery arrows appear when she draws it back, and she can focus on any target within 15 feet of her. The arrows she fires will inevitably hunt them down as long as they are within range, even if they must defy normal physics and travel in an unnatural way, and as long as they are her target, they will feel as if they are prey for a hunter. Her arrows strike with the force and pain of a real arrow, and the sensation of pain will remain as long as she is channeling, with lingering bruising possible at player discretion. She may channel for up to 35 seconds at this stage, and can only focus on one target at a time.

Knight Lanting
Location: H7 -> G6

Total: 3 + 10 = 13
HP: 150 - 35 = 115

Lanting was grinning ear to ear, watching the monster get yanked down onto the shield. Watching the ******** moon laser shoot it.

And then. And then.

He whipped around when he heard someone shouting back, and there, a ways away—a Negaverse Lieutenant, making a very familiar gesture. Excitedly, he repeated it right back, not really caring that this was a) totally not the time and b) something that would absolutely confuse everyone around him.

Running on the high of knowing there was a fellow nerd present, Lanting leapt up, smacking his staff into the monster, and when he landed, he took off running towards where he’d spotted the other group.

He skidded to a halt in front of the group around the Lieutenant, grinning from ear to ear.

“I see you are a person of culture as well,” he said. “Lanting of Ida. Hi,” he addressed the rest of the group, holding up his staff, “anyone need a heal?”

Hug your what was that- that's an order.

Everyone was making these dramatic statements like they were honoured to fight together, they were a great team, don't die-- Borax's mind was going into a different direction with it. He wasn't going to die, Ilmari was right. But he also felt something else.

"Don't think we need to worry about doom and gloom, y'all." Borax's lips were tilted into that smarmy smirk, even as the Calamitous Hollow crashed into the Velencian shield. "We ******** got this."

Was that the bravest statement?

No.

Was he still prepared to use an almost supernatural amount of ability to jump, not just magical, to punch the monstrous God creature in the gut?

Yeah.

No weapons. His was very metallic. But he could still hit.

Corvina, Super DSS of Windflowers
Location: H7 —> G6.
Action: attacking the Hollow with super senshi magic, then chasing after Lanting and Karakorum.
Total: 6 (roll x2 for wonky DSS magic) +5 (second stage) = 11.
HP: 87 / 125 (-35 for general attack, -3 for DSS magic backlash)

Corvina cared little and less for the Negaverse’s attempts at intimidation. Did their Chaos cannon cause him pain, making him ache down to his starseed in both fear and genuine agony? Did the words of some high and mighty General intimidate him?

Yes to both—but more than anything, they filled him with rage. A rage that Lanting’s inspiring words—and his pride at having such a capable partner—could only quell so much. Whatever gesture Lanting started making, angling his arms just so, Corvina entirely failed to understand. Perhaps it was some rousing war gesture to incite people toward victory?

Things like this made sense in Corvina’s mind, even when it wasn’t clouded by rage. The rage only made his guess seem more correct.

Even as Corvina raised his gaze toward the Calamitous Hollow’s underbelly, he might as well have been seeing red. As he snapped his fingers and blew across his open palm, summoning his magic to attack the beast, something in him shuddered from a desire to instead beat that green-haired witch with the scythe into a pulp so bloody that her Chaos-blasted starseed would carry the trauma into its next incarnation and maybe even the one after that.

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Six-Petaled Crown.
Corvina snaps a finger, then blows over an open palm, sending a rush of spectral windflower petals toward a maximum of three targets within 15 feet of him. The spectral petals briefly whirl around the targets before settling around their heads as crowns, imparting a sense of fragility and a feeling that they have been cursed by bad luck. Although these feelings are illusory (enemies are not actually weakened and their luck is unaffected), they are very difficult to shake off. Small emotional slights feel world-shattering, like something targets will struggle to recover from. Pain from other attacks feels significantly worse (e.g., a hard, well-aimed punch may feel like it has cracked someone’s ribs, even though it hasn’t). Misfortunes that befall affected targets feel like evidence of their alleged bad luck.

This magic lasts for 35 seconds; any lingering emotional effects are at individual players’ discretion. Corvina may use this attack two times per battle.

He was breathing heavily after summoning his magic. Something in him ached again. Briefly, he thought to investigate or ask Lanting for aid, but—what in the?

“Dunnottar,” he said, looking over his shoulder at the Squire, “we have to stick with them. I trust you’ll follow.”

With which, Corvina chased off after his Knight.

Lieutenant Nekoite
Location: G6.
Action: Trying to stab the hollow’s underbelly with the pointy end of his cat toy, and then being a huge nerd.
Total: 1
HP: 65 / 100 (-35 for general attack)

As soon as Marge Simpson’s new friend spoke, Nekoite had a dawning realization: <********…… I ******** up.

s**t, and he’d even told Marge Simpson, Fishface (Róka), and Aloy Or Whoever She Was Cosplaying (Hy-Brasil) that he wasn’t good at fighting.…… Oh, ********, what was he gonna do? And what was he gonna do if his last text to London was something really annoying and stupid and lame—

But Ashanite’s voice came through the communicator with words of encouragement. Maybe he was speaking to the entire Negaverse but something about his charisma and performance skill made Nekoite feel like Ashanite was speaking directly to him. Right. Okay. Deep breaths, deep breaths, he could do this. He just had to find a spot on the exposed underbelly and trust the wonky gravity to carry him up so he could make a stab.

Unfortunately, Nekoite was working with a cat toy, and he didn’t have the high ground like he always used against the Asylum Demon.

On the plus, though, someone was coming over to him when Nekoite landed—a Knight, sure, but he was smiling and per his own words, clearly also a person of culture.

“Just a noob trying my best to git gud when we’re out here,” Nekoite told the Knight with a kind (of slightly self-deprecating) smile. “But in my unpowered time, I do study my classics, yeah.”

Delighted with his own joke and determined to ignore the Squire who was calling New Friend Sunbro a loser, Nekoite laughed. The only thing that startled him out of that joy was the enormous senshi—easily over a foot taller than Nekoite himself, to say nothing of that hair—who came running over to Sunbro and placed a very, very, very big hand on his shoulder.

“Whoa,” Nekoite said, staring up at the senshi in awe. Looking back to his new Sunbro, he added, “Is this guy your boyfriend? Because if he is, I think I need to commend your endurance as well as your intellect and sense of culture.”

Abzu, Squire of Neptune
Location: F2
Action: Seeing the sky and concerned.
HP: 125 - 35 = 95
Total: 3 + 5 = 8

Oh.

Ah.

Abzu had been staring out in space for perhaps a bit too long, trying to find an answer to what they were doing. When the sky split open, when the herald fell, he spotted something as if they were standing...

In space. Nearby. It reminded him of those pictures taken by the few astronauts who had made it to the moon, looking back at Earth. This thing was clearly teleporting through this dimension to get closer to what it wished to consume.

Them.

The Velencian warned he was just aiming at the hollow; Abzu responded, wryly, "Then don't look too close."

He wasn't the type to attack. Abzu tended to hold back whenever he could. Nothing quite stopped him from attempting to channel his magic at the monster, a generosity urging that might have just encouraged it to stop, perhaps.

He glanced behind him. What was Pendour doing? Abzu needed to make sure she didn't have everything taken out of herself-

Captain Brassite
location: D2
action: attacking via PUNCH + using pin
Total: (Roll + 5 rank + 5 from chrys buff + 10 almadel pin) 26
HP: (125-35) 90

Whatever misgiving's she'd had moments ago were quickly dismissed. General Queen Hessonite was right. And she was right. The world needed people like them, willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done. Watching the combined attack of Order and what she figured was the freaky Moon Court that her General-in-Law was part of, Brassite's lip curled a bit. They did what they could.

But the Negaverse could do more.

As a voice came over the comms, listing out her thoughts with fire and zeal, the air around Eternal Chrysocolla began to shift and swim. Brassite's already excited heart began to pound harder and harder still. Hear heart was so strong, and so big, it was ********' deafening and it felt like she'd vibrate into some kinda oblivion if she didn't take a ********' swing at the thing, now.

"LET'S ********' GO!"

Eternal Kamacite

He tried shaking the feeling of dread he felt as he watched each blast of magic from various locations. He shuddered as the electricity burned through him, and he wrapped his arms around him to try and ease the pain. It wasn’t so bad… he’d felt worse, at least.

Kamacite nodded in understanding to Lopezite as he shared his intentions, and then offered to step back for Kamacite’s magic. He didn’t want to cripple his own allies.

He also wasn’t sure how useful light magic would be against something that couldn’t actually see it yet. Not with its head still in the clouds.

Even Jasper was doing his best to fight, and Kamacite watched curiously as the Lieutenant jumped up to strike the serpent, only to get his small weapon stuck.

Perhaps it was a good thing that Jasper wasn’t looking at him, because Kamacite’s lip twitched, endeared, for just a moment, before he set his sights on the Calamitous Hollow.

He made sure no one was nearby before he teleported. Even if the beast couldn’t see, maybe he could still feel the way electricity seemed to be pulled from the air as Kamacite’s magic made everything dark around him, before tossing a ball of light back at the serpent for it to explode.

He landed back on the ground next to Lopezite and Jasper, hoping their efforts would pay off sooner than later.
