post 1 Hanging out with Rem, unsure if being threatened by sharp-smile guy, suddenly surrounded by so many DMC
Oh hey, two faces he definitely didn't know. He cocked his head slightly as he took in the pretty cool looking uniforms of the other two Supers with Remarque (Laon, Arawn), and offered a vague two-fingered salute in greeting. Though.... his fingers drooped a little as he gave the latter a puzzled look. Was he... snarling at him? Smiling? Was he being threatened or greeted? He was so confused.
Oh well. Giving a slight shrug--hey, whatever floated his boat, go for it--he crossed his arms loosely in front of him, watching as more people began to cluster around Remarque. Made sense, given he was the Mirror Prince here. All the faces... he wasn't sure he recognized any of them. Or if he had seen them before, it'd been so brief that he just... didn't remember. Ouch on his part. The talk of a pizza party (Ariadne) got a smirk from him, but when Remarque mentioned a steak house... "Well s**t. That sounds like an interesting spot for a 'savin' the world' party. I'm down." Especially if he only really had to worry about paying for drinks, hell yeah.
As others began to speak--two healers was cool (Persephone, Lacerta) and Remarque's suggestion on uh... complimentary magic? Loke wrinkled his nose. He wasn't too sure he'd get a 'match,' but sighed and lifted one of his hands instead, enough to make himself kinda visible to the rest of the group. "Uh.... Loke. Senshi of Treachery so uh. My magic makes people turn on their allies. Not sure how useful that'll be against this storm snake though, unless using the magic causes it to bonk itself with its tail or somethin'. But if anyone needs some distraction help, lemme know?"
"Horrific little heathen..." Feldspar muttered, pulling his cigarette away from his lips and eyeing Calaverite as he really quite roughly elbowed through Diesel (weren't they friends???) and Narcissus, just to cozy up on Rakovanite like there was no one else around. Diesel's staggering away consequently dragged Feldspar a step back as well, since his arm was tangled around his obnoxious, rainbow-haired lover.
He'd seen most of these people a handful of times, but didn't know many of them on a personal level. Feldspar wasn't on Rakovanite's team- but all his friends were. Weissite, Diesel, and Rakovanite himself were over here, and really Feldspar couldn't imagine coming here of his own choice, if he hadn't been steered into the clearing by Diesel.
It was a strangely beautiful and eerie scene, with clouds that obscured every dot of light the sky might have produced- besides the lightning, that just sort of hung there.
He could've enjoyed it from home, though. Could've marinated in a couple hours of thinking how likely it was they were all going to die- and how there was nothing to do about it but wait. ...Diesel didn't think that was good for him, but Feldspar thought it was weirdly therapeutic. Sometimes it was nice to just accept that things were going to turn out however they turned out. No need for anyone's input.
His boyfriend dragged him out, anyway. So if there was something to be done, Feldspar supposed they might as well try.
It wouldn't be as peaceful an end, though.
He took another slow drag and exhaled a steady stream of smoke. So weird for everyone to be gathered around together like this and being (mostly) chill, since the last time they'd come together, it had been a big, dramatic fight. Thinking it wouldn't be this time was probably overly optimistic, but Feldspar couldn't see anyone who looked like they might turn on their enemies for the moment... The clash of auras though... almost nauseating. "I hope we pack it up soon... I'm not looking forward to being out here all night."
They stepped up next to Lysvi and Yddagen and gave a nod. The rest of the Vanguard was collected next to Lyndin, but Neryn had always felt a little out of place among their fellows ever since they'd come to Earth. Not strictly for anything they had done - Lyndin trying to sacrifice a bunch of supposed allies for power notwithstanding - but simply because Neryn had come to love Earth. In their a hundred and fifty some odd Earth years of existence, they'd only ever really known one place and it hadn't been like Earth.
So coming here, and seeing all their plants and animals and backwards science intrigued Neryn. Did the Earthlings have their own problems? Absolutely. Many things that Neryn had studied or discovered over the years was appalling to them. How could these people do these things to their fellows just for power or money or because they thought a 'higher power' told them to? None of it made sense to Neryn, and they did what they could to advocate for equality and respect across persons.
Yet with all it's problems, Neryn adored Earth. They adored its people, its creatures, its spirit. So like when they stood against their fellows to save the people just trying to keep their world alive, Neryn stood against this threat too.
It was so totally unfair that the world thought it got to end , like, three months after Karakorum's 21st birthday. This was supposed to be her Hot Girl Era, she was supposed to get to go clubbing and have a good time and maybe fight some evil if she felt like it. She'd even gotten a shiny magic promotion, with a cool bow instead of her silly little ivy strand.
But no. This stupid ******** Herald of the Dark Star had to show up to cramp her style and totally ruin her day.
But at least they were able to fight. At least they'd had warning and now they had a message and the ability to show up and fight.
"This is the wooorst," she whined as they trudged up the hill, which made Lanting roll his eyes. "Okay, no, Earth getting devoured would be the absolute worst, but this sucks, gege. Corvina, this totally sucks, right? Showing up to this shitty hill when the weather sucks and it looks like it's gonna rain to fight a weird giant space monster and holy ******** what are those Chaos auras."
Karakorum had never experienced a General-Sovereign before. she knew they existed in theory, but in practice, the overwhelming Chaos made her stop in place.
Lieutenant Nekoite(PL: Leyndell of Cosmos) Action: being terrified. offering repayment food.
Nekoite squeaked in a distinctly unbecoming way as the senshi before him turned around. But he fell silent at getting grabbed by the chin in this way.
Something inside him wanted to protest that he had no idea what she was talking about with past lives, and him having ever been a Cosmos Knight, and what Cosmos even was because every other kind of Knight he’d met or heard of was tied to a planet, and all of it? In his terror, though, the most he could manage was staring at her like the slightest trigger might have set him screaming like a bunny who thought its life was in danger.
At least she let him go, though.
At least mussing up his hair wasn’t murdering him.
At least it afforded Nekoite enough room to fumble the top off of his bento box and hold it up toward the enormous, scary lady with the horns and the Marge Simpson colored ponytail. Aside from trembling in fear, he didn’t move at all. If he did, maybe that would set her off again and she really did look like she ate boys like him for breakfast. Or at least murdered them super easily. So?? Maybe a peace offering and some kind of apology would help?
“I—I’m really, really sorry?” He tilted the open box, hoping she could see some of what was on offer: octopus hot dogs, an assortment of fresh fruits and snacking veggies, some little slices of cheese and turkey with crackers, and an omelette shaped like Pikachu. “My name’s Nekoite, and I don’t know what you mean? And I’m sorry I made you drop your food, but? You can have my bento if you want?”
Sure had been a mistake to include Cala, but what was done was done. Figuring Rakovanite could handle himself against Cala, Weissite instead turned to Diesel and Fel. "I'm surprised you came," he admitted. The coordinates in the message had come from an unknown party, but the presence of so many Sovereigns certainly implied that the summons shouldn't go ignored. But he'd expected Feldspar to do just that. Too much of a hassle to go around fighting World Snake's in the wee hours of the night. There'd been encouragement from Diesel, then. And probably physical manhandling out the door. Weissite frowned in Diesel's direction. "If you brought him out, just make sure you get him home." 'Make sure you get him home. That's my best friend you dragged to this fight. He better make it home at the end of it.'
The final night had arrived. d'If was not excited to show up to a fight with so many of his former comrades present, but if he was lucky, none of them would recognize him. The man he'd been before was supposed to be dead, anyway, so perhaps none would look twice at the Saturn squire with his hood pulled up.
Let him obscure himself a little more, for the protection of himself and the woman at his side.
"I suppose this is make or break," he told Dunwich, softly. "If we come out of this, we'll have to do something for ourselves. Something nice." A fine dinner, perhaps, or maybe a very expensive vacation. Either sounded like a good use of their time.
The super senshi let out a heavy sigh and drained his thermos of tea as he stared up at the sky. He'd been enjoying his sudo-retirement, you know, universe. You didn't have to decide to send some sort of world ending monster to his home.
He was here mostly because Remarque was here, and Hydrus usually answered when his Prince called.
That didn't mean he wasn't going to level the purple haze in the sky with a tired glare.
He was getting too old for this s**t.

Mara smiled and nodded when the General King Jet reminded her to breath, the smile just didn't really reach her eyes. She was just being polite to a much higher superior. She did understand that he was trying to put her at ease but considering the s**t show they were standing in... not much he could do on that front. She also knew that her personality was fairly chilly unless with family. But even her smile took on a more sardonic twist when the General (Aquamarine) who was standing with the General King made a snarky comment. His humor was much more to her liking.
That smile dimmed when her cousin opened his stupid mouth and started to apologize to not only their other cousin but also to her. She tossed a look at Diaboliete, one that was rather incredulous and Mara hoped it conveyed a silent agreement to drag Beni off the field of battle in the same circumstance, even if he was kicking and screaming. That's what family did. He would do the same for them! Of this she was certain.
And while the urge to curse at him for implying that he would be there alone she held her tongue. Instead she muttered in French, "You had best take your own advice cousin, or I sic Grandmother on you. Don't think I won't." She knew 'Grand-mere' was more like their great-grandmother but it was easier to refer to the family matriarch that way. That and her own grandmother despise being called 'grandmother' since it made her feel old.

Although she'd been briefed and trusted Lyndin, Vysynnia was immensely surprised by all the people gathered. While she wanted to find her friend, she had a feeling with all the others in the area that might not happen until later. Caelyna would be here somewhere, that much she knew, but for now, she tried looking for Lyndin and hurried over once she saw him.
She already had millions of questions she wanted to ask, especially about all the others that were gathered, but she needed to focus and listen to make sure she could keep up with what was going on even after the briefing she had gotten. Everything was moving fast, which she couldn't exactly say she hadn't expected, but it would take some getting used to, and she would do what she could to help.
Hand on his hips and staring into the sky, Taenite whistled in awe at the sight before them. When he arrived, he found his way to the General Sovereigns, and took his place beside Axinite.
He offered a friendly smile in greeting to Lepidolite and Hessonite, of course, although the latter seemed to be entertained at the moment.
“I’m thinking about a vacation after this. You’re much too pale, boss. General King,” he turned from observing Axinite to grin up at Lepidolite. “Where do you think General King Axinite would benefit the most from visiting? Oh, you’re welcome to come along too, of course. I’m thinking somewhere tropical.”
Mostly, it was just a distraction. He could imagine how Axinite was feeling, and if they were pulling out all the big guns, then they needed to make sure they were at their best.
If she were being completely honest, Mechelen didn’t really want anything to do with what was going on. She had school to deal with, things to deal with but…Halle was insistent and she couldn’t just…keep ignoring things, no matter how much she kind of wanted to.
She had come out with Halle and Almere and Lisse, and she knew that things were…well. They were clearly ******** up, and she didn’t like it…but…one thing she kind of did like, though she wouldn’t say anything was the fact that Halle was introducing her as his Mechelen…which. Okay. And then he went and said that he loved them.
And while she knew that most likely he was talking to Almere and Lisse, his actual family....she felt…kind of giddy.
Giving a little wave at the Squire she didn’t know Mechelen sighed. “I’m not sure how well my magic will work here…I guess…it can distract someone if one of these…chaos gremlins decide to not play nice…”
The threat was pulling just about everyone out of the woodwork. A few Royal Senshi, several General Sovereigns, and the gaggle of agents, senshi and knights that went along with it. The fact that no one had tried to kill anyone yet spoke to the direness of this situation, though who knew how long that would hold out.
Andronicus scanned the area and blinked as she picked out the colors of Uranus and a head of hair she recognized. She didn't see the telltale red and gold of Themiscrya next to him, but she expected not to see her with Ashur. Hopefully, she was safely tucked away on Ashur's wonder for now.
"Ashur!" she called out as she approached with a wave and a nod at the Mercury knight next to him as well. "Let's try to stay alive, or Themi's gunna kick both of our asses, yeh?" The joke maybe was a little much, given the world ending threat, but it was better than letting her mind spiral into the doom that was fast approaching.
On Alastor's shoulder. Talking to Solaris about the spike. Near Ganymede, Oberon, Valhalla, Sessrumnir.
Although his size likely made the sight somewhat comical, Lucien perched himself on Alastor’s shoulder. It was a height he was used to, so naturally would want to have the same line of sight.
“I can feel your excitement,” Lucien huffed, his tail swishing as he kept an eye on the sky and the people gathering around them. It was hard not to sense the energy building within Alastor. He didn’t blame him. This was something they’d never experienced before. They didn’t know what to expect so they had to keep their wits about them.
“If I were you, I would keep it safe until the signal,” Lucien said when Solaris asked about taking out the spike. “We are not sure on the exact details for how it should work. I do not know if it will attract the energy in the air to it, prematurely. There is also a risk of it being damaged or destroyed.”
He knew it wasn’t his call whether to bring it out or not, but that was what he would do in her shoes.
"It's good to see you both here..." Amicably spoken as he turned to meet Sodalite and then Hylonomes gaze, a barest hint of a frown betraying his otherwise passive visage. He knew they were on rocky, uneven ground, still. He could almost feel it, even standing solidly as he was for the moment. A rift that'd been born and he was unable to mend, unequipped to handle.
He promised himself this was bigger than them. That the potential whole of the world being at stake was worth the risk of making things endlessly worse between them instead of any margin of better---
It didn't help that it was on a hill much the same as this one that they'd met before. That the circumstances were so eerily similar, minus of course them all, for the moment, getting along with the myriad of other factions before them.
"I only ne---" his sentence cut short, a burst of air driven from his lungs as he found himself back down, face up, arms full of to the brim of a suddenly appearing Hatsya. The grass stains along his capelet and back would be indistinguishable from the rest of the greenery that colored his uniform. His face, however, a bright pink, wide eyed. So frozen tight was he by surprise, so caught sideways, that he didn't even think to let her go just yet.
No, he simply stared on, long and silent, gaping like a fish freshly kicked free of a pond---
How do I begin to remedy this? Maybe if I help her up-- The how of it, if he squeezed her more tightly, because flinging her free like a scalded child seemed infantile! What if she was hurt?! Where had she even come from!
Dia was eager to return the greeting, how long had it been since they'd all been able to gather as one like this? It felt like a lifetime, like years, like --
"Vauxite!" And who was with him? He swore the girls name sat the tip of his tongue -- Narcissus saved him, Markeb, that's who she was! It was a relief in so many ways be able to tear his gaze away from impending doom above and stare at the familiar faces grounded around them. Coms chirping brightly with a reminder of -- oh yes -- lightning loved metal, didn't it? He only hoped his newly minted claws were not, in fact, a large or conductive enough target to incur that sort of incident, but?
To be safe he kept them de-summoned for the time-being, focusing instead on Narcissus beaming praise. "I know!" Flourish and furl of his longer coat-tails, his pride thrugoughly fluffed. "I'm tempted to blame the heels too--but only for a little of it!" Pinching his fingers together just so as he huffed a soft chuckle, the jovialness of the bubbled moment popped for him as Cala burst through them all like a bull let off leash--- and poor Narci!
"Honestly!!" What was there to do, save roll his eyes over the Supers antics.
