Nickname: Belle. But you aren’t allowed to use it. Possibly, you also know his birth name, but he doesn’t acknowledge that name anymore. Trystane is dead; there is only Belial.
Gender/Pronoun: Masculicious or whatever you hyoo-mahns call it. He/him.
Age: He doesn’t care, numbers are stupid. (He’s about 1,032.)
Birthday: Whatever, just tell the Mauvians to put March 20th. That sounds fine. (If he felt like doing the math, this would actually be more or less correct, but Belle mostly thinks that “March 20th” sounds nice. Also, he was born around 992 CE.)
Sign: He likes the red octagons with STOP written on them? He never respects them, but he thinks they look cool. (March 20th puts him on the Pisces/Aries cusp. His birth year makes him a Water Dragon.)
Gemstone: They are very pretty, next question. (March birthstones are bloodstone and aquamarine.)
Blood Type: Not yours.
Fav. Food: Whatever doesn’t kill him first. (That said, he loves pretty much any kind of dumpling and may go feral about chocolate when he learns what it is.)
Hated Food: ………*HATE*??? FOOD??? Who has the unadulterated luxury to refuse any kind of sustenance??? Ugh, privileged assholes.
School: He had tutors growing up, but he’s never been to this “formalized education” of which you speak.
Occupation: Being a senshi IS a job. What sort of messed up century is this, where you people think that “senshi” is no longer a valid occupation? People on his home-world would have never!!! (Give him some time and it is my intent to get him involved with Don Diablos and the Destiny City wrestling scene.)
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Eyes: A dark, rich, sanguine shade of red. Something like #9B041F or #8E0317, maybe? Long, thick lashes.
Hair: Rich, dark violet, close to black but with some red tones in it. Long, untamed, wild, fluffy. Not curly per se, but big and wavy, just SO MUCH hair.
Face: Almost always glowering and looking mad about you, your existence, and the fact that he is expected to be here. Very expressive, and the expression is generally angry.
Skin Tone: Moderate, warm-toned brown.
Body Type: Tall and huge. Like, 6’10”, broad-shouldered and buff.
Clothes: He’ll wear whatever fits, honestly.

Hobbies: and it’s madame la crush with the steel chair! (Wrestling): On Corvina-That-Was, the people very highly valued an individual’s strength and endurance. Brute force was often the only way to resolve disputes because nobody would listen to anyone else or try to find common ground. Monster hunts were a big deal in several ways: necessary for keeping the civilized settlements safe; rites of passage for young people; fun first date ideas during a courtship; etc. Most of the pastimes that Belle has known in his life are now lost to him for various reasons (even if the various legal protections for endangered species didn’t exist, Belle isn’t impressed by Earth’s large animals; compared to Corvina’s monsters of old, tigers strike him as little more than large house-cats)……but this whole wrestling thing, though.
Belle feels something speaking to him in both the genuine athletic competition kinds of wrestling (e.g., sumo, Icelandic glima, English cumberland wrestling, Olympic freestyle and Greco-Roman) and the bombastic, theatrical performance spectacle of the WWE, the DDT and Tokyo Joshi, Lucha Libre, the Destiny City wrestling scene with Don Diablos, etc. Both the “serious athletic competition” style and the “entertainment spectacle with some stage combat” style resemble different forms of wrestling that existed on his homeworld. He is an avid fan of both the sportsmanship and, in the case of the performance spectacle, the characters and storylines. Watching is great in its own right, but even more than that, he’d really like to try wrestling out for himself.
cooking, like love, should be entered with reckless abandon or not at all (Cooking & Baking): Partly, this was a necessary skill for Belle’s survival. Spending several centuries on his own while Chaos slowly ruined his world, he needed to learn what foods were edible or not, and how he could combine things in ways that would taste decent enough to stomach. On another hand, though, when he has decent materials and an actual good setup, Belle genuinely enjoys the culinary arts and savors the creation of good food. When he’s working on a dish, he can zone out from all his tumultuous, angry, and overly loud emotions, pouring them all into the food. It makes his heart feel quieter for once, and Belle appreciates that. The pleasure of being able to feed someone he cares about is also important to him—Corvinate culture very highly valued an individual’s ability to provide for their loved ones—but he hasn’t had anyone to provide for in so long that he’s largely forgotten what it feels like.
the object of cleaning is to feel happiness living within that environment (Domestic Labor): Belle has been living feral since the Chaos invaded his world, unable to have a stable camp for very long, much less to make a real home for himself. In those conditions, tidying things up and going through the motions of a home-maker (washing utensils he didn’t really use, doing laundry as much as possible, etc.) gave him a sense of comfort and normalcy. Now that he’s on Earth and a stable home is a possibility for him again, Belle will happily work hard to keep that space clean. He will need to learn his way around Earthling cleaning products (and learn to read enough English that he won’t do something like mix ammonia and bleach), but he genuinely enjoys keeping spaces clean, keeping dishes washed, keeping laundry done, etc. No, none of these chores are that intense or demanding, but they’re as close as he gets to a form of meditation that works for him.
zip-lines, climbing walls, and competitive spouse-carrying (Obstacle Courses): Corvina-That-Was made a Whole Thing out of regularly testing their senshi’s mettle, their strength and resolve, their ability to withstand pain and tribulation, etc. Traditionally, any senshi who proved weak or insufficient would be killed in the hopes that Cosmos would send Corvina a better one on the next reincarnation. Through regularly being subjected to them, Belle came to enjoy these trials. The closest thing Earth has to the Corvinate senshi trials are obstacle courses, and Belle very much enjoys participating in them. Not needing to worry about dying if he fails makes them more fun, to his surprise!! It’s nice to just run around, climb things, do impressive athletic feats, and so on without his neck being on the line.
Corvina-That-Was also had a particular competitive game that followed a similar model to the senshi trials, save that it was open to all and that these trials would be completed while carrying someone else. Most often, this was someone’s spouse, betrothed, or romantic partner, but family members and close friends were also acceptable if someone was romantically unattached. On Earth, Belle would very much like to learn if anyone else partakes in the noble pastime of proving your strength by using it to carry your loved ones, and if they do, he wishes to participate. Just give him time to find a person who is amenable to this, okay.
precious little creations of joyous light, lovingly made reflections of one’s inner spirit (Doll-Making): Not something that he shares with people very easily, but probably Belle’s favorite hobby. He enjoys making dolls: designing them to have certain looks and feels and personalities, finding the right materials to construct those designs, and then constructing little guys. During the time he has spent living alone and in the wilds, fighting his way through the Chaos that surrounded him, he found that making dolls—something that he had always secretly enjoyed—gave him something to feel vaguely happy about, even if it was a very tiny something, relative to all the horror and death. Specifically, Belle likes to make cloth-body and rag dolls (think similar to a Raggedy Anne or the Mazahua-Otomí people’s rag-dolls) by stitching together cloth scraps he found pretty much anywhere (read: dumpster diving behind the Goodwill or in one of the wealthy neighborhoods in town). Other doll types are fine, he guesses, but he doesn’t personally see the appeal of making or customizing those types of dolls.
Virtues: but i’ll shout out my love to the stars (Exuberant): Belle is a passionate and energetic person who throws himself headlong into whatever he’s doing. He’s enthusiastic and feisty, capable of keeping himself going even when his energy should be flagging, and relentless in pursuing things that he cares about. You can always tell when he’s excited about something because he’ll be practically vibrating from it, and he won’t want to wait to make things happen.
‘til i felt my caress on your skin (Protective): While he does not always express it in an ideal manner, Belle cares very much about the people and things that he considers important to him. Threats to his loved ones are something that he takes with the utmost seriousness, and as much as he is able, he will move the Heavens and the Earth to prevent anything terrible from befalling the ones he loves. Even jokes that sound remotely adjacent to threats, Belle takes very seriously; he will need to be told that they are jokes in order to prevent him from making efforts to protect his people from threats that don’t exist, and even being told this, he won’t think the jokes are funny.
you belong to the gang, and you say you can’t break away (Dutiful): When Belle commits himself to a person or a cause, he does it wholeheartedly, with an attitude like “If I don’t give 500% of myself, it’s not good enough.” He takes on tasks that might not actually be his responsibility, just to further the cause somehow or, even more importantly to him personally, to make things better for the people to whom he devotes himself. Belle’s loyalty is also incredibly difficult to shake: he may have murdered his own father, back before their world fell to Chaos, but only when his father’s actions harmed the people they were meant to protect, as the King and the senshi. All the assorted crimes Belle’s father committed against Belle himself, Belle could overlook—he never forgot, just chose to hope that his father might give him better someday—but his father was shirking his duties at their people’s expense, which Belle could not allow to stand.
but i’m here with my hands on my heart (Earnest): There is very little artifice about Belle. He is always himself and nothing else—no more, no less, no pretending or fake s**t. You will always know where you stand with him, and you will likewise always know what his feelings about something are. He doesn’t see the sense in wasting time by pretending to be anything other than what he is, even if some people might strongly prefer that he would try.
Flaws: and i swear to the stars: i’ll burn this whole city down (Short-Tempered): Belle is incredibly thin-skinned and easy to hurt, with several of his insecurities and vulnerabilities very easy to spot, right out front and center, usually because Belle himself put them there. When he gets hurt, he very quickly gets angry and flies off the handle, yelling and screaming and ready to throw hands. He almost always falls for the rage-bait (even if it’s obviously rage-bait), rises to the alleged challenge if someone wants to pick a fight with him (if he isn’t the one picking the fight), and takes any imagined slights in the worst, most personal ways (and then rages about them). Anger feels like strength to Belle, while hurt and pain feel like weakness, so he does very little to control his temper.
when first we laid eyes, i swore to no compromise (Clingy/Possessive): One of the most prominent unideal ways that Belle tends to express that he cares—especially when people are involved/the ones he is caring about—is by clinging to someone so hard that, by all rights, something ought to break. Imagine the emotional equivalent of being hugged so tightly that you can’t breathe, then magnify it by several powers of ten. On top of that, Belle often thinks of the people and things that he cares about as His, period. If his concern is a bit less powerful, he might not mind sharing, but for more powerful loves, he will very much object to the idea. This is His Friend, His Lover, *HIS* Person, and he doesn’t want to share their attentions, so you can ******** off. Go find your own.
our families can’t agree; i’m your brother’s sworn enemy (Unhinged): Not only is he angry, Belle is also extremely emotional in general. Additionally, it’s a mistake to say that he does a bad job regulating those emotions……because even a bad job would be better than what Belle does, which is no job whatsoever. Everything with him is constantly right at the surface, not bubbling right below it but open and obvious and probably hitting someone in the face (sometimes metaphorically but often very literally). When he’s upset, expect fights, violence with neither direction nor purpose, and screaming meltdowns. “Self-control,” to Belle, sounds like a fancy word for weakness and little else, so don’t expect him to exercise any of it anytime soon.
Additionally, Belle has very little awareness of how he and his behaviors come off to other people. He has the self-reflective capacity of a particularly obtuse rock that doesn’t really feel like examining itself that much, and it shows. What do you mean “he has a problem”? No, you have a problem. Belle is reacting in a perfectly normal and reasonable fashion, shut up.
all i heard was a shout of your brother calling me out (Unsubtle): There is very little artifice about Belle, and this often works against him. Knowing exactly where you stand with him is a bit of a cold comfort when he’s telling you flat-out that you are weak and foolish, a disgrace so terrible that you shame a hundred generations of your ancestors, and a vile, despicable waste of life who deserves nothing less than a painful death, dismemberment, and your head on a spike as a warning to others. It’s almost insultingly easy to figure out his emotional buttons and how best to mash them in order to hurt or take advantage of him.
Uniform Color: Main Color:Dark, vibrant red (#B2090D) Secondary Color:Dark, muted violet (#432850) Tertiary Color:Dark, violet-adjacent gray (#241C2B)

Attacks: Symbolic meanings of windflowers include: tragic love, forsaken love, anticipation, fragility, bad luck, blood, and death.
Sailor Scout Attack: Petals On The Wind. Corvina snaps a finger, then blows over an open palm, sending a rush of spectral windflower petals toward a single target within 10 feet of him. The spectral petals whirl around the target, after which they are seized by a sense of fragility, both physical and emotional. Although this feeling is illusory (enemies are not actually made weaker), it is difficult to shake off. Targets feel as though small emotional slights cut more deeply (e.g., passing disregard may seem like deliberate rejection), and they feel that the pain from other attacks is magnified. This magic lasts for 30 seconds; any lingering emotional effects are at individual players’ discretion. Corvina may use this attack three times per battle
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Six-Petaled Crown. Corvina snaps a finger, then blows over an open palm, sending a rush of spectral windflower petals toward a maximum of three targets within 15 feet of him. The spectral petals briefly whirl around the targets before settling around their heads as crowns, imparting a sense of fragility and a feeling that they have been cursed by bad luck. Although these feelings are illusory (enemies are not actually weakened and their luck is unaffected), they are very difficult to shake off. Small emotional slights feel world-shattering, like something targets will struggle to recover from. Pain from other attacks feels significantly worse (e.g., a hard, well-aimed punch may feel like it has cracked someone’s ribs, even though it hasn’t). Misfortunes that befall affected targets feel like evidence of their alleged bad luck.
This magic lasts for 35 seconds; any lingering emotional effects are at individual players’ discretion. Corvina may use this attack two times per battle.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Corvina’s Forsaken Wound-Flower. Corvina sweeps his arm through the air as if backhand slapping someone, sending out a rush of red windflower petals, which hit enemies within a 15-foot radius. When hit by the petals, enemies are seized by the urge to cough, as well as a sense of tragedy that threatens to overwhelm them. It feels as though they have been or will soon be utterly forsaken by those they love. They may also feel that they are a curse on the people they love, that any loved ones who don’t abandon them are doomed to suffering, misery, or even death. Affected targets who surrender to the urge to cough will find themselves wracked with deep, painful coughs; they will also hack up red windflower petals.
This magic lasts for 45 seconds; the coughing stops and petals disappear when it ceases. Any lingering emotional effects are at individual players’ discretion. Corvina may use this attack once per battle.
Deep Space Physical Features: Corvinate skin-tones cover all sorts of red, pink, magenta, fuchsia, mulberry, etc. tones; oranges and reddish-purple tones are not unheard of but are extremely rare. They have long, pointy elf ears that have a larger range of motion than human ears (not quite as much as dog ears, for example, but Corvinate ears can perk up and droop down very noticeably), and tails (normally the same color as their skin, with the conical shape and stripe pattern of a tiger’s tail; these tails are purely vestigial and do not improve the Corvinates’ sense of balance, cannot be used to grab things, etc.).
Corvinates also have impressive-looking horns that come in a variety of shades (typical colors are black, white, brown, dark purples, normal Corvinate skin-tone colors, and gray). These horns are too sensitive and delicate to be used in combat (and, culturally, having one’s horns broken off was seen as a mark of dishonor). Belle hasn’t had his horns for a thousand years or so. The stumps he does have remain extremely sensitive and have lost any sharp edges.

Backstory/History: The world of Corvina, out among the Koronis asteroids, had a wide array of beautiful botanical life that the people prided themselves on cultivating. Most of it was not trying to kill you. Too bad you couldn’t say the same about the rest of the planet.
Between the harsh environment (earthquakes, outrageous storms, pits deep enough that the fall would kill you before you splattered on the very sharp rocks at the bottom, etc.) and challenging wildlife (even the small rodents were probably trying to kill you), Corvinate society developed a very rough approach to basically everything. Perpetual insecurity about something (food, shelter, whether or not your spouse would get themself killed in a tavern brawl that ended with seventeen dead and three blocks in the capital city burned down, etc.) made protecting what you had a matter of life-or-death import. Living with such high stakes fostered a culture where not demanding a duel to the death over somebody stealing your chicken (think a tiny velociraptor with aggressively vibrant-colored feathers that squawks and lays eggs regardless of its sex) was seen as proof of weakness and potentially a grave insult to the chicken thief.
Also, a lot of Corvinates just enjoyed the power that they felt while ending another person’s life.
At some point in their history, the Corvinate people invented a complicated, often blatantly self-contradictory societal concept of “honor,” “a warrior’s heart,” and similar garbage in order to excuse and justify their rampant violence. It was always transparently bullshit. By the time the most recent Sailor Corvina was born to the Corvinate crown-prince, though, a lot of people had forgotten that. They genuinely believed the hyped up nonsense about warrior honor, claiming that the self-contradictions actually were not that, you were probably just ignorant and spiritually insufficient.
This culture meant Belle spent his entire life hearing people justify violence against him. On one hand, his father took the throne when Belle was very young, which meant Belle needed to learn how to be a King, something “best” taught by violence. On the other hand, Belle’s mother was a runaway socialite from another world. Being half-Corvinate allegedly meant he would forget any lessons taught without violent reinforcement. On the tentacle, Belle was also the senshi, and if Sailor Corvina looks weak, it might make other senshi think they can exploit the Corvinate people. Better use violence to make sure he learns right!
Meanwhile, Belle’s mother abandoned him and his father within a week of giving birth. His father never recovered, growing increasingly unstable in ways that he regularly took out on Belle with various flavors of violence. Despite that violence, when Belle eventually overthrew his father, it was for their people: the King’s instability had made him derelict in his duties as the ruler, which could not stand.
Chaos came to Corvina shortly after the coup, brought by none other than Belle’s mother. Taking advantage of her son’s desperate desire for a relationship with her, she convinced him to plant some strange flower she’d brought in the palace gardens. Unbeknownst to Belle, that flower carried a Chaos infection. She left again that same night, having never planned on staying.
The Chaos incubated in the gardens, draining energy from palace inhabitants and spreading into other plants’ root systems. Slowly but surely, it spread to all Corvina’s botanical life. Initially, people died of apparent exhaustion (long-term, cumulative effects of energy draining, mistaken for some kind of disease). Despite investigating the ostensible plague with some of his world’s best minds, Belle didn’t find any answers until the Chaos started killing people more overtly.
When the Chaos really ramped up, it worked by controlling the plants. The people of Corvina fought back as hard as they could, with their senshi leading them as their prized botanical life turned against them, but all their fight didn’t make a difference. Everyone fell to the Chaos eventually……except for Belle. He got to live, fighting the Chaos alone because after losing everyone and everything, fighting was all he had left.
[this is where i usually put civilian family, and maybe i will write about his? but they ARE all extremely dead, so maybe i will do something else.]
fun fact #1: his beloved ida-knight cousin was the first person to be directly and obviously killed by the chaos-tainted plants when they went all murder-licious on everybody.
fun fact #2: the “best minds” he investigated the chaos with were his two best friends, Alys Croídair and Varamyr Gwaedrhew, neither of whom was even remotely a scientist. belle had access to other people, but he only trusted his two besties, rip.
POWERED PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Eyes: A dark, rich, sanguine shade of red. Something like #9B041F or #8E0317, maybe? Long, thick lashes (but it’s okay if there isn’t room to show it on the male templates!)
He has long, pointy elf ears, which have a bigger degree of motion than human ears, usually corresponding with his mood (e.g., perking up when he’s happy or curious, lowering and pointing down when he’s sad or grumpy). If all were perfectly well by his people’s standards, Belle would have impressive horns coming from his forehead. However, his horns were broken off nearly a thousand years ago, leaving only cracked stumpsthat don’t protrude very far from his head. The stumps are incredibly sensitive, and the cracks have long since dulled/lost any sharp edges, making them useless in combat.
Skin Tone: Something moderate pinky-purple. Think like Orchid SkinTone NumberFour from the Tiefling color palette options in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Body Type: Tall and huge. Like, 6’10”, broad-shouldered and buff, my mans is huge. He also has a furry tail, the same shade of red as his body, with the general shape, structure, and stripe pattern of a tiger tail.

[lmao, this is usually the slot reserved for past life stuff, which he does not have to worry about in the slightest]
1x Almadel’s Calling Card: A glossy, white card. In elegant script, Almadel is written in shimmering opalescent ink. On the other side, a holographic circle.
Almadel’s personalized, magical calling card. This item can be used to summon him anywhere, any time. You simply need to place your thumb over the holographic circle on the back of the card and he will almost immediately arrive.
He has a unique magic that allows him to travel to otherwise difficult or impossible to reach locations. This might be an unnamed/unclaimed/random location in space. He may be able to travel to locked or inaccessible locations on Wonders or Homeworlds and he can even reach homeworlds and Wonders of Chaos locations.
He cannot reach some specific meta locations but he may be able to get close enough to view or observe certain conditions. Players can inquire about these but are cautioned that others may be investigating the same meta location so information is not first come first serve. Staff will attempt to give something unique for all RPs, though.
Every visit has a time limit; Almadel’s magic does not work for long and he can only carry one person at a time per card. He can do group RPs but all participants must have a card. This card can also be used to summon Almadel for information or for bargain/trade. This item will be earnable again in the future.
Because this is a very powerful ability, plots will need thorough approval with staff before use. Please PM The Space Cauldron with your character and what they would like to gain from Almadel. We will work with you to plot things out!
Found (Starfest 2024, “A Night At The Museum” ORP), Used (forthcoming).
