Hobbies: Extreme Sports (biking) – At a young age, Aiden learned that a healthy outlet for his energy could be achieved through biking; he started with a simple bike but the mountainous terrain he was surrounded by became his playground and he moved to mountain biking. The more comfortable he got on a bike, the more he pushed himself; he expanded his interests from simply riding to competing. He is proficient both in motorized and non-motorized biking; he has competed professionally in Motocross/BMX racing but due to terrain issues in large cities has also taken up Motorcycle racing as well.
Robotics – Aiden’s idea of downtime is programming and constructing robotic mechanisms. He likes to see what new designs and functions he can create, but he is also guilty of creating robots specifically for the purpose of competitive fighting. He enjoys seeing what others can do and improving on their designs as well as creating his own from scratch. This interest in robotics is what pushed him to pursue a degree in engineering.
Exploration – Coming from a family that frequently moved, Aiden is used to moving frequently. While he is hoping for some stability now that he’s moved to Destiny City, he intends to explore every bit of it. He is used to traveling, and still takes trips out of the city as often as he can, but Destiny City is large enough that he can appreciate all the unique features and places it has to offer. He can frequently be found trying out new locations or exploring all aspects of the town—or anywhere he finds himself.
Virtues: Proactive – Aiden does not wait for there to be a problem to tackle an issue; if he sees a weakness, he tackles it immediately. If there is something he wants to improve, he thinks it’s better to handle it before an issue arises. Additionally, he will not let an issue fester unresolved and is keen to lend his aid to help others with their problems. His inclination to take initiative can sometimes seem overbearing and he can claim a leaderly role, however he is not possessive of this position and simply does what he thinks is best.
Independent – Aiden is fully capable of taking care of himself; he knows his limits and knows that if he needs something, he can get the job done. He doesn’t rely on others and strives to reach his own goals. He is capable of handling things is generally self-sufficient. This partially stems from his need to be in control of situations and partially stems from him just being a loner by nature, but he is perfectly fine with supporting and relying on himself.
Adaptable – Aiden quickly learned to adapt to accommodate his ever changing lifestyle while growing up; his father was in the military and the family wound up uprooting themselves fairly regularly to accommodate his father’s career. Aiden learned how to adjust quickly. Because of his ability to adapt, he has found that he often puts himself into positions where he needs to adapt; he has developed a sense of wanderlust and is fairly adventurous. New experiences excite him and he likes keeping himself on his toes. Adaptability has primed him to be observant, independent, and eager to try new things.
Brave – Fear doesn’t control Aiden; he meets all his obstacles head-on. He is confident in his himself and his abilities and thinks that fear is just a hurdle to meet and overcome. He tends to be bold and forthcoming and has no issues standing up for what he believes in or trying new things. He has a sense of heroic duty and has no room in his heart for cowardice.
Flaws: Abrasive – Aiden can come across as incredibly blunt and doesn’t seem to work very hard to apply a filter. He can appear incredibly begrudging and snarky, and even seems exhausted or exasperated in common conversation. It often gives the impression that he is abrasive and intimidating. He can be difficult to approach, particularly because he doesn’t leap into friendly discourse and he isn’t the most sympathetic when someone is wallowing in an issue he thinks has an obvious resolution. He is more about actions than emotions and can come across as dismissive and cold.
Prideful – Very confident in himself, Aiden’s self-sufficiency has led to him believing that he doesn’t need anyone else. This means that he takes pride in himself and his abilities. He can come across as arrogant because of his confidence in himself, and his insistence that he doesn’t need others makes it seem as though he classifies himself above them. He can be extremely adamant and brazen regarding things that he is invested in, and is often convinced that his way is the best way and he cannot accept that he might be wrong.
Unpredictable – Aiden’s need for adrenaline and keeping himself exposed to new experiences means that he is often impulsive and unpredictable. He very rarely considers the risks of a situation and instead focuses on the rush. He does not approach any situation with the belief that he will fail or get hurt, which leads to engaging in what could be considered dangerous or risky activities. In this aspect, he seems to lack stability and is incredibly insistent that he follow his own path regardless of the comfort level of those close to him.
Distant – Aiden has a habit of seeming disengaged in social circumstances and his tendency to be ambiguous can be frustrating, particularly for close friends or people that have broken into his circle of friendship. He can easily come across as evasive and secretive about very basic things. He is reticent and does not appreciate people prying into his personal life. He can become defensive and hostile when he is expected to share information and generally prefers to keep important things to himself.
