Belmont had been out for--well, who knew how long, tonight. Long enough that he was getting bored, which was both good and bad. He’d been taking this whole Knight thing very seriously, but he wasn’t always sure what he was supposed to be doing.
He’d spent months--months--physically training, taking classes--to be prepared. Because, he’d gotten good advice, which was essentially “don’t get yourself killed”.
Which, he could respect--and it was obviously good advice, because he’d followed it and he wasn’t dead.
But, he was restless.
He’d felt it for a few weeks now, like something was calling him. He hadn’t been powering up because this was supposed to be for emergencies.
And yet…
Something remained unsettled in his heart.
So, against his better judgment, he’d powered up tonight. He’d wandered a bit and tried to find the source of his unease, but nothing showed up.
Nothing, except for the pleasant energy signature of a White Moon Senshi.
Belmont followed the trail--somewhat poorly, he was still learning--and it wasn’t until he was nearly atop of her that he found her.
“Oh, hey,” he blurted in greeting. “Senshi! There you are.”

Sailor Frigga wasn't much of a patroller. The senshi was generally anxious, fearful, and stressed, and so her focus fell to work and living, but shje was, as every time she'd tried powering of late, making some effort to try. She had a responsibility, she supposed. to others. With great power came great responsdibilities. But that didn't mean they liked it. Frigga was trying to see how 'Senshi' fit into their identity. Sometimes, they felt girly. Sometimes, male. Sometimes, neither. Was that part of senshidom? Some kind of pre-awakening effect?...Frigga was so lost and not even the knight she'd met at awakening was around, making them horribly lonely. Frigga felt the knight approach before hearing him, and the grey and red eyed senshi turned from a birch tree they'd been looking at hoping for some feeling of familial or sacred bond with (Nothing but tree, alas), and very slowly, mildly startled, Frigga waved. "Ah... Hi." They greeted. Their voice was soft and timid, even being friendly, and slowly they smiled a bit, still speaking in a soft voice. "How're you tonight?"

Belmont breathed a sigh of relief and grinned as he approached. “Good, I think. Sometimes it’s hard to say. I’ve been feeling restless recently, if we’re being honest. Started to feel really alone out here until I found you.”
He glanced at the tree that had held Frigga’s attention, and though he didn’t ask, it was clear that he was questioning what was so interesting about it.
“I’m Belmont,” he said, extending his hand in greeting. “Page of Jupiter. How are you doing tonight?”

"Oh, no, no, the only time I've seen a grouping of powered people was right after my awakening, but it was... Terrifying at best." Frigga shivered, fidgeting before frowning a bit as they remembered the entile gauntlet. No, they decided, they didn't like it one bit. They didn't miss the look, or introduction, and instead motioned. "Oh, I'm... I'm Sailor Frigga. My sphere... Sphere? Is birch. Are senshi supposed to feel something about their sphere?" Were they doing things wrong? At most they just wanted to see if they could climb it, but not in a skirt, that wouild be sdilly!...Right?

Belmont seemed a bit curious at her awakening; judging by the way she shivered, he got the distinct impression that it wasn’t a pleasant experience.
“Oh, well it’s nice to meet you, Frigga. Birch is...interesting.”
He pursed his lips and considered her question, but honestly he had absolutely no idea. “I admit, I don’t know so much about Senshi. But I’m hoping to try. I suppose Birch is one of those weird things that--no offense--I just don’t...I mean, I hope some cosmic force doesn’t expect you to get all gung-ho for a tree?”
He planted his hands on his hips and tilted his head at her. “Have you been a Senshi for long?”

"I'm... Not even sure how spheres work myself. The kitty didn't explain." And Frigga wanted to know! They were trying, but... Pfft. Nothing -- they didn't even know they could cast magic. "I admit I did reading to try to find more and I wonder if maybe -- some past Frigga's been to Earth. Otherwise I think Birch is edible? Or drinkable? Birch beer exists..." They crossed their arms in silent thought before looking to Belmont. "But what about knights? We work together, maybe there's some kind of connection between Senshi and knights. Noone's told me anything."

Kitty? Mauvian, probably. He didn’t know enough about them except he knew Darius had been in the presence of a Senshi so it would have made sense for them to be connected. Insomuch as anything made sense in this world.
“Oh, I hear you on that. I feel like I don’t know anything. Everyone I meet gives me a little bit of new information. I met a guy, Sessrumnir? He’s a Jupiter Knight, like me.”
Although, it felt wrong to call himself that; he didn’t know that he’d done anything to deserve the title.
“He sort of gave me a little run down, he was there when I first got into all of this. He gave me some good advice--mostly ‘don’t get yourself killed’. So I took it to heart, I spent a lot of time training, making sure I could defend myself, and. I guess I’m still new at powering up, or whatever. But I feel like I’m less likely to get myself hurt, at least. And it was on my list anyway. I, ah.”
His hand went to his chest and he was reminded of an old pain he could barely remember.
“I think the Negaverse got my starseed once. Before all of this. And. I just want to make sure that doesn’t happen to anyone else. So I’m...Not entirely sure what I need to do. But I want to help. I don’t want anyone to go through that. So--yeah. Senshi and Knights might have a connection. I’d like to think we could--should--work together. I mean. We’re stronger together, yeah? And none of us should be in this alone.”

Frigga listened curiously, before tilting their head, blinking as they considered, frwning a bit. "There was someone there when I awakened -- A.. Mercury? Knight? But..." They hugged themselves and shut their eyes tight in the uncomfortable memory, still distressed. "When things went... Scary.... And bad... He abandoned me... So..." Frigga frowned, then seemed to pounce the topic change, blinking curiously. "Start...Seed...?" Oh no. They were surprised, blinking. "I suppose working together is better?" They didn't know whaty anything was! Should they stop powering? Was Belmont going to get frustrated and leave too?..... Frigga swallowed before hyperventilated, slowly covering their mouth to panic silently.

Belmont paused for a moment and glanced back at them. “Hey,” he said slowly, because something seemed off. “Are you okay? --Sorry, I didn’t mean to bring up a bad memory or something. He abandoned you?” he asked, and felt bad that he was still brushing on a subject that seemed uncomfortable.
“Do you have anyone looking after you, or...teaching you how things work?”
He only seemed curious--surprised!--but not with any sort of disdain. He’d have been completely alone if it wasn’t for Sessrumnir, and he wouldn’t have known what to do, probably.
Even now, he wasn’t sure what was going on--but he knew that everything was harder when you were alone--especially when magic was involved.

"I... should probably explain. Almost immediately after I awakened the knight and I got moved.. Some other place? It's hard to describe it well. We just had to escape, like a lot of others He just... Seemed to decide I'd be fine alone -- and I was terrified! I still didn't know what magic was about, I'd been awakened maybe a few minutes..." Frigga withered, sighing before blinking, shaking their head. "Have anybody? Oh -- no. Not really. I'm experimenting as I go for now. I read about some things, and it convinced me to power again. And I wasn't much involved as a civilian either. I'm actually used to being alone. I scare easily. Most people think I'm overreacting, but... I get scared." As Finch, they never even knew their parents. They'd drifted, home to home, until adulthood. Working, living in their own space, it was all new, but welcome. Finch could be quiet as they pleased, relax, even -- but even they admitted it was largely just not being used to being around others, or building a tolerance for some fears. Noone could be blamed for thayt.

Belmont nodded; he kept his arms crossed over his chest as he listened intently.
“Well, everyone’s different. You can’t expect everyone to act the same way. I don’t want you to be scared or overwhelmed or anything. Or alone, if you don’t want to be. So, if you want, I can give you my number. I don’t scare easily, so. If you need someone to watch your back, I’m pretty good at it, I think. We could figure this stuff out together if you wanted. No pressure,” he added, because if Frigga scared easily, he didn’t want to make them feel like they had to accept the offer.
“But I don’t think you should have to be alone in this. Unless you want to be, in which case, don’t mind me too much,” he said, flashing a lighthearted smile.

Frigga afforded Belmont their full focus. The senshi blinked quietly, fidgeting slowly as they blinked, then smiled. "I'd... I'd like that. I don't like being by myself. I feel... Vulnerable? Like someone might randomly attack me." They felt so exposed by being alone, but, Finch didn't know different, beyond the barest time by going to school or work, but that wasn't overmuch. Frigga wanted near people, pure and simple.

Belmont nodded understandably. “Yeah, well. That makes two of us. Here,” he fished around in subspace for a few seconds and then drew out a folded piece of paper. He unraveled it, tore off a corner, and wrote his number on the back of it.
“I don’t really know a lot about how to get in contact while we’re like this, but if you want to plan something or need backup, call or text me, okay? My name’s Aiden. Maybe some time we can schedule some training or something? I’m not the best or anything, what with self-defense and all, but if you’re looking to get some practice in, hit me up, yeah?”
He was friendly enough and smiled as he passed the paper over. “Don’t be a stranger. If we’re going to be in this together, might as well go all in. I’ve got a pretty flexible schedule, so if you want to patrol together, that seems pretty safe. And, maybe we can figure some of this out together. Or,” he glanced at the tree, “Just admire the landscaping.”

Frigga nodded, listening attentively before they smiled in visible relief -- they weren't alone. They weren't being abandoned, this time. They had someone. "I'm Finch." Frigga introduced themself quietly, motioning to themself. "I'm flexible too, really. I mean, I work but that's all I do." They were a little too awkward to engage in their hobbies often, but that was okay. They didn't mind, really. Should they?.... OK probably. Slowly, they accepted the paper before grabbing Belkmont in a tight hug, partly, to self-soothe. "Thank you, thank you very much. It means a lot."

The hug was unexpected, and a bit surprising; Belmont tensed for a brief second before he understood what was going on and then he relaxed and returned it. He kept his grip loose, just in case there was something going on that he didn't quite understand, or in case Frigga--Finch--wanted to break away, they could have done so easily.
"Finch?" he asked, and then smiled. "That's a cute name, really unique. I like it."
He patted their back carefully--nothing too forward, just something to try and reassure them.
"You don't have to thank me, it's okay. That's what friends are for, right? You okay?"
