Quote: Biolumina Club and LoungeLocated in a popular strip in Destiny City, Biolumina is a hot new dance club and lounge that caters to a wide audience. While it was founded with electronica and the rave scene in mind, it has the faculties to accommodate any event. The entire building is themed off of deep sea neon and features extravagant arrangements to make guests feel like they are partying at the bottom of the sea. Biolumina features light shows synchronized to some of their house music and while there are several popular local artists and DJs booked regularly for live shows, they aren’t afraid to introduce new names.
One of the most impressive features Biolumina boasts is an artificial aquarium with mechanical, bioluminescent aquatic life. Guests will see all sorts of sea creatures, all with a unique neon spin. While many are based off of real creatures, Biolumina has also thrown in a few of their own creations. While each creature is impressive on its own, some of the greater creatures have fantastic articulation and are truly a work of art, even before they wind up under the blacklight. Some of the larger creatures (up to twenty feet) are rotated out every night. Some rooms have aquariums that take up an entire wall.
While the dance floor and aquarium are reason enough to visit Biolumina, it also features an award winning lounge. The lounge has an array of snacks and drinks, including a diverse alcohol-free selection to accommodate all partygoers. It’s not uncommon to have a lounge singer or band playing in the lounge even while the dance floor is open. Biolumina had officially opened its doors over an hour ago. There had been a line queuing outside since about four, but once things got moving there had been plenty of space inside for everyone. To mark the occasion, the entry fee was waived for all attendees, who were given a glow stick and, if over twenty one, a stamp. Drinks were discounted for tonight, and the bartenders were doing their best to keep up with the demand. The lounge was packed with guests and staff, but despite the bustle it never seemed to get dirty. The dance floor was vibrant and energetic, and there seemed to be infinite space. There was a variety of music, but all of it was catchy and immersive. The light show on stage was almost as impressive as the one on the dance floor, and if that wasn’t enough, the mechanical fish and other sea creatures in the vast tanks seemed to move in sync with the music. There were quiet places–some of the private rooms had been open up to showcase their different neon aquatic themes, and it offered a more peaceful, quiet location from the hustle and bustle of the party. The ceiling high faux-aquarium spaces seemed an impossible construct, but there was no indication that anyone was in any danger. There seemed to be at least one wall in every room dedicated to showcasing the mechanical creatures. They easily seemed to swim from one room to the next. There must have been two dozen different types of fish, some eels, jellyfish, turtles, stingrays, sharks. There was one whale that looked like an orca, that swam with two little ones following close behind. In some of the private rooms and the lounge, and some of the stand alone tanks located throughout the club, there were smaller creatures, like tiny fish, starfish, seahorses and jellyfish. Lifelike neon kelp and coral made the place seem alive, and the vibrant LEDs made them feel otherworldly. Whoever had crafted these was clear a master of their art. Tonight was just about having fun and enjoying the space. Unless you were a member of the Negaverse. As per Laurelite’s invitation, any member of the Negaverse could sign up to work for the evening. For a bonus of four hundred dollars, all you had to do was show up, socialize, and do a little ‘clean up’ for four hours. And anything from the lounge was on the house, as long as you were wearing the pin provided just before opening. The pin was a small thing–a silver starfish with a circular purple gem in the middle. Everyone received one, whether they had signed up to masquerade as a guest or if they were here as actual staff. The only difference was that actual staff received twice the pay for actually working. They all had the same goal: keep an eye on the glowsticks. When first cracked, they were a vibrant purple color, but as time went on they would deteriorate into a lifeless gray. So the hired help needed to find guests with dead glow sticks and give them a new one! Not too hard, right? And if anyone left the party early because they felt tired, well. They just had a good time right? Quote: Biolumina is now open! All characters capable of putting on a civilian glamour are capable of participating in this RP, however only Negaverse characters can participate in the dice rolling game. This roleplay will count as a regular; there are no battle elements involved. For non-Negaverse characters: All civilians have been given glowsticks upon entry, and these are encouraged to be used on the dance floor. The creatures in the mechanical aquarium also respond to them and will come closer if you hold it to the glass. After some time, the glowsticks will begin to lose color. Unknown to civilians, this means that it has capped out on how much energy has been drained. Anyone with a gray glow stick may be feeling tired, but there are caffeinated drinks and snacks at the bar! No one can be drained to unconsciousness, but they may feel tired and want to leave after a bit. 21+ characters will have a stamp, minors will not; minors cannot get alcoholic beverages from the lounge. For Negaverse characters: The starfish pins protect against energy draining so make sure you don’t take it off. Negaverse characters (including half-youma, youma, and Mauvians) must spend their evening collecting expired glow sticks and providing guests with new ones. There are large bins in back to deposit the expired glow sticks; these are being transported out to be handled by Laurelite and some of the General Sovereigns who are harvesting in the Dark Kingdom. Known to the Negaverse, but not their guests, the glowsticks will turn gray when they have capped out on the amount of energy they can gather. This is an easy visual sign so they can know who to approach to swap out new glow sticks. Characters may all have their specific way of gathering these glow sticks, either by approaching people as a generous guest, or as a staff member (bartender, security, janitor, host, chef, etc), or maybe even just someone picking them up off the ground or stealing them. Your character can do this however they want, as long as they are collecting expired glow sticks and getting new ones out to continue the draining process. To gather glow sticks, Negaverse players must roll 1d10 across 5 posts. A minimum of 100 words must be written in each post. You cannot write 500 words and roll 5 times in a single post. You can only roll five times in total but you can continue to RP outside of dice rolls. All posts must be filled out before Friday, September 20th when dice rolling closes or they will be considered invalid. There should be no deleting posts or reserving dice rolls in this ORP. Players can roll at their leisure so please take your time and enjoy the week! You do not have to roleplay your character actually collecting glow sticks on screen, or based on your dice rolls. Your dice rolls simply indicate the total collected throughout the evening. Your posts should be RP based and the dice do not have any impact in how you choose to play them. You can roleplay your character interacting with anyone you like, or just observing the scene while they work; just have fun! When posting, all players should include the following at the top of their posts:Character Name (and a link to their journal) Location: (Lounge, Dance Floor, Private Room, Bathroom, Lobby, Aquarium Hallway) Dice Roll: (Negaverse only; include all rolls here and separate them with a comma; you do not need to tally them) If you are a Negaverse agent and write 500 words by the end of this roleplay, you will be eligible for IC rewards to be released at the end of the event, including the chance to earn a medal. The dice rolling portion of this ORP will close on September 20th at about 6PM EST, but RP will be open until September 22nd where we will write a close. Rewards will be given out at that time. ICly, this event takes place on the evening of Friday, September 20th. Negaverse characters did not have to participate in Announcement ORP to participate; they can handwave receiving the email to sign up offscreen. If you are interacting with the environment please quote the mule, The Space Cauldron. If you have any questions, please send a PM!

Laike YinchenLocation: Aquarium Hallway Dice Roll: 10 "I don't know how they made these," Laike seemingly mused aloud, dusky eyes following some of the larger fish. He liked the deep sea vibe, particularly the jellyfish on display that had been showcased at the announcement for the club. They were simultaneously fascinating and calming, reminding him of Subnautica and Soma in a way that was exciting and entirely unique.
He poked at the glass, impotently trying to indicate which creature he was talking about as he continued to the length of fluff wrapped around his shoulders. "Oh, and that one's like if they took a Dishonored whale and mixed it with some of the bioluminescence in Subnautica? I wonder if they'd make a ghost leviathan…"
He had dressed in a manner unfortunately conspicuous, given that he knew little of how to dress up for the occasion. Nevertheless, he played it as if wandering in off the street, drawn by the club's distinct visuals and fresh opening with a right-time-right-place excuse. Thus, he stood in the hall with an opened black and pink windbreaker, a black tee underneath with a pixellated hooded fellow and the words ゲイリーはあなたを愛していますprinted all around it, cargo shorts stuffed with old and new glowsticks alike, and a pair of nondescript black sandals with a white stripe that glowed under blacklight.
Turning his head to the fluff on his shoulders (Magnus), he asked in a softer voice, "Which part did you guys help with? These things or the glowsticks?"The Space Cauldron Laike is looking at the aquarium! General-King Faustite is notably absent, having ditched out on the club given his strict preference to avoid them. He is, instead, harvesting in the Dark Kingdom alongside his peers where he does not have to deal with loud music and drunk people.

Sanaa AkinjideLocation: Aquarium Hallway Dice Roll: 7 Sanaa was looking at the aquarium. There was something mesmerizing about the way the mechanical creatures glided effortlessly through the water, their neon colors casting an ethereal glow in the dimly lit room. Sanaa found herself drawn to a tank filled with intricate jellyfish replicas, their translucent bodies pulsating with light as they moved in a synchronized dance. She reached out a hand to touch the glass, almost expecting the jellyfish to react to her presence. She noticed she wasn’t alone in the area. She turned to the other person in the room. "Those jellyfish are quite something, aren't they?" Sanaa remarked, her voice soft as if not wanting to disrupt the peaceful ambiance of the room. (117)

Ilian Jones (General King Jet)Location: Lounge, Behind the bar, serving drinks (bartender) Dice Roll: 1 Ilian was actually looking forward to that night. He’d been practicing mixing drinks, but mostly he did a crash course in bartending. He had a cheat sheet behind the bar, of course, but he’d probably watched countless YouTube videos on proper technique and measuring and he did a pretty good job memorizing all of the basic mixes.
There’s no way he would be a worse bartender than Arles.
“I’m not going to have to cut you off already, am I?” he asked in disbelief as he leaned against the bar, watching as Lovely downed another drink. He’d only just arrived! How could he have had so much already??
Oh, right…
Ilian shook his head in disbelief, and then cast a charming smile to whoever approached so he could take their order. It was good to see so many there, and a relief to know the energy they were collecting was being handled by professionals.

Yuuri Matsunaga (Eternal Kamacite)Location: Private room. Admiring the aquatic “life” and staying out of the way. Dice Roll: 1 Yuuri felt out of place, and he immediately gravitated away from the loud music and to a quieter area of the establishment. The work that went into the mechanical aquarium pieces was quite extraordinary, and Yuuri was fairly confident that he would be okay just observing them.
He stayed out of the way of anyone coming and going, and did his best to blend into the shadows.
It was easier being able to hide when he could wear dark clothes, rather than his bright robes of a Senshi.
Misha had already pranced off, probably talking to whoever gave him attention. Hopefully his friend would be fine, but Yuuri already missed his company.

Charlie Durand (Connie, Squire of Chronos)Location: Lounge Charlie was excited for this really cool aquatic themed place! She didn’t even care if it was a club or a bar or whatever, as long as there was a lot of fun. She heard they would be giving out glowsticks, and that was awesome! She had already gotten hers and was tying it to the zipper of her hoodie.
But it wasn’t just any hoodie! It was pink and had a fin on the head. It was supposed to be aquatic themed, right? So they should be dressing up! Her skirt was made of tulle and was rainbow colored and had LED twinkling lights, as well as fabric starfish and shells and seaweed.
“Aiden!” she gasped with excitement when she caught sight of her friend. They didn’t usually hang out unless they were doing knight stuff, but she absolutely wanted to see if he’d like to visit this cool new place with her. Just to hang out for a bit!
“How are you? There are no bugs that I’ve seen here so far. Unless -- oh, do you think shrimp and lobsters count as bugs?” she frowned thoughtfully for a few moments before reaching out to give him a welcoming hug.

Lovely BelroseLocation: At the bar, drinking Dice Roll: 9 “I’m not even drunk yet!” Lovely said a bit louder than necessary.
He was tipsy. Very, very tipsy. More than tipsy, maybe, but not drunk. At least not so much that he had to be cut off. He could still sit without slumping and stand without falling over. He could still walk in a mostly straight line. He could still think, sort of. He still knew what they were there for.
But if he had to mingle with obnoxious people or sit there watching Ilian (pretend to???) make eyes at pretty girls and hot guys and everyone in between, then he was going to do it in a pleasant mood. That required alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol. So he might’ve had a few drinks before the club opened. And he might’ve been sipping at another one while he sat there trying to keep Ilian’s attention on him. (An impossible task at the moment, given that Ilian’s job required him to interact with others.)
“Make me another,” Lovely said, wagging his empty glass from side to side.
He hadn’t put too much effort into dressing up; he would’ve worn the tank top and cut off shorts anywhere. He wore a plaid shirt over top, unbuttoned and falling off his shoulders, caught on his elbows. He’d added some sooty eye make up and glitter for the occasion, but the choker, bracelets, and rings were all commonplace for him. Numerous studs and cuffs decorated his ears, exposed by the artfully messy ponytail he’d pulled half his hair into.

Dorian GrovesLocation: Private room with Yuuri Dice Roll: 4 Dorian swore under his breath. He hadn’t wanted to come, but it’d seemed like a bad idea to know about it and not show his face when he technically had the time. He’d planned on lurking in a corner somewhere while having a few drinks. Then he saw Ilian Jones at the bar, with a familiar half-drunk blond pouting every time Ilian’s attention turned elsewhere.
There was no way in hell Dorian was going to stand around watching that.
So he stalked away, drinkless, and found a private room to hide in. How private it actually was when someone was already in there could probably be debated, but he’d take a single stranger over a club full any day.
“Sorry to disturb you,” Dorian grumbled.
He would just stand there quietly. Maybe he’d brood. Maybe he’d admire the fake aquatic creatures. Maybe he’d do both.

Misha SokolovskyLocation: Dance floor Dice Roll: 5 How had he managed to lose Yuuri already?????
He’d just been talking to someone—not even all that important; he hadn’t even gotten the dude’s name!—then the crowd had moved and the next thing Misha knew he and Yuuri were separated. Misha ducked around people and hopped up on the tips of his toes trying to look over heads, many of which were much higher up than his own, but he couldn’t see Yuuri anywhere.
The club had sounded like a good time—the decor in particular was so cool; that was definitely going into a vlog—and he was always down to help out on a project or mission. Maybe he shouldn’t’ve convinced Yuuri to come along. A club wasn’t exactly his thing. It wasn’t always Misha’s thing either, truth be told, but his social battery also didn’t deplete as quickly as Yuuri’s did.
Misha dug his phone out of his pocket to fire off a quick text.

Celeste DurandLocation: Lounge Dice Roll: 9 Celeste hadn’t been out to a club since college. If it hadn’t really been her scene back then, it definitely wasn’t now, but the task for the night was simple enough that she thought she could tolerate it for a few hours.
She commandeered her own table and sat nursing a drink, letting her gaze drift over the developing crowd. She caught sight of Dorian just as he stalked off and rolled her eyes. That meant she’d probably be stuck here on her own. She could try to mingle but… no. She was here for the Negaverse, not to socialize with a bunch of people who didn’t even have fully developed frontal lobes.

Mier Law (Lt. Diasporite)Location: Bathroom --> Into Dance Floor Action: Trying in vain to will a Stamp onto the back of his hand! It's not working. Dice Roll: 9, The look on Miers face in the mirror could've curdled eggs, soured milk, made lesser children cry. The way it was directed firmly at the back of his palm, at the mark that didn't exist. His face a swath of angered rouge, lips firmly twisted in a sneer that became the poutiest frown. Because, apparently? He wasn't old enough to get a stamp!! Oh, he'd sauntered in, proud, beaming, alight! Produced his ID card all aglow for it! The man at the counter hadn't even looked at him twice -- barely even the once!! Mier had argued, pitched and fervent. He was technically twenty-one now, the most legal he could be! His twenty-first birthday had been an entire week ago! But no-- Apparently? He would have to wait until he got the new card in the mail, the sideways one, the non-expired 'yes we're aware of the birth-date on the card, but -- sugar -- your expired learners permit doesn't count for s**t here.' And maybe the polite man at the front hadn't said those words in quite that way, or even that tone. Maybe he'd been the peak of professionalism at a new establishment, but to Mier? It'd still felt like he had. It was fine though!! He had a cute commemorative pin to remember the time by, the place itself was stunning! He could just---Mier shook himself out, scrubbed the embarrassment off of his face, and turned back out of the washroom to stalk towards the dancefloor. His wedged high-tops shining with every hd-sole-lit step he took. The star-esq chains on the hip of his shorts jingling in time to the sway of his braid. His entire look cropped: from sleeveless, midriff-bearing turtleneck to his three shades darker than the ocean jacket with big sleeves that cinched cleanly at the wrist. Mier resolved that he hadn't come here to drink anyways. Even if he seethed a little at being denied the chance. No, it was fine -- truly? He'd come here to admire briefly admire the views. And? To dance!+++ Aramis Lévesqu (Corrupt Basic Mirabilite) Location: Lobby ---> Lounge Action: Just about to get off the phone--- this girl needs a drink! Dice Roll: 6,
Whatever conversation Aramis was having? It didn't sound pleasant to anyone passing by. Her tone was hushed, hissed, bordered on kettle-boiling-over levels of confusion whipped into ire. There were snippets---
"You can't be serious, Sy' -- please -- you're really going to make me beg aren't you?"
"No, you can't just hole yourself up in...."
"None of this is health--Well what if *I* ******** miss you then? Because last I checked it wasn't only him dearest dove--"
"Don't take that tone with---!!"
"You absolute b***h, you did not just hang up on me! Syrus, ********!"
Either she'd had enough of it, or the call had been abruptly ended. Regardless? The bedecked & bedazzled cell in its case ended up shoved into a faux mother-of-pearl, venus shell clutch. Aramis seemed to collect herself, count to ten, to a hundred. Before surreptitiously fixing herself in what she could catch in her reflection on the clubs glassy walls. Making sure her tight, dyed curls were still pinned in full zebra poof-aesthetics, that the neat side braids hadn't come undone. She smoothed imaginary wrinkles out of her dress; the way it bled velvety indigo to deep black. Started tight and ended in a tiered layer of thigh-length ruffles.
She'd made sure the shoes would match the purse -- the lacy stockings with mottled print the dress made for dancing. She'd thought -- No, hoped? Certainly hoped! That she'd have a date tonight. As things stood? She was going stag. She sucked it up, owned it, and as a final touch adjusted the pretty-as-could-be pin. A cute little trinket that made the coming worthwhile...
What mattered most now? Was making the best of it. Something Aramis felt she'd be better ready to do *after* she'd gotten a hold of a drink, preferably? Something sea-themed enough to get her in the mood to get out there and mingle again! Instead of feeling freshly slighted.
Instead of worrying for her friend..Quote: Both are Open for Interactions!

Mauvian MagnusLocation: Aquarium Hallway Dice Roll: 8 Magnus lay draped comfortable over Laike’s shoulders. The boy was doing a good job of not moving too abruptly to dislodge the fluffy grey feline. Of course, there was the threat of claws digging into the slender shoulders if Magnus slipped. But, like his mode of transportation, Magnus was enjoying the view of the hallway. The bright lights tickled a part of his brain that coveted shiny things. Quelching the desire to reach out and try to nab one of those moving fish took effort. “I personally helped with the glowsticks. Others helped with designing the place and the fish. And there were others that dabbled into everything.” He said quietly into Laike’s ear, making sure not to attract attention from anyone nearby. His tail flicked along Laike’s back. “It was fun to do.” “So, are you going to explain to me what subnautica is? Is that some sort of ocean? Maybe a fish?”

Aelius DraysonLocation: Lounge Dice Roll: 9 There wasn’t even a hint of humm or bump from the more energetic dance floor. In fact, it was easy to forget that there was a lively true ‘club’ atmosphere happening not far away. The lounge was a perfect location for people who wanted to relax and actually hear and converse with their company. It was a perfect place to start the evening too. IT was why Aelius had dragged Waru there first. Plus, he’d heard the lounge was top-notch.
“This place is crazy.” He remarked as he watched the swaying of neon seaweed and fish of all sizes and shapes meander by. “It’s somewhat calming, don’t you think?” He glanced over to Waru.
Aelius hadn’t ever been much of a club goer. Very casual in his interest in them. Enough that he knew what to wear to not stand out. So black jeans, black chelsea boots, and a dark blue shirt with silver, shiny pinstripes that weren’t too flashy, but there enough to still catch the neon colors around them. The shirt was left open past the 3rd button, letting his necklace, a staple piece in and of itself, be on display. His hair, he pulled back in a low ponytail with his messy fringe left out to do as it pleased.
He flagged down the bartender as they neared the bar. It was so packed he had to squeeze himself in. “Rum and coke. Waru, what do you want?”

Emilia Asher (General Jadarite)Location: Aquarium Hallway Dice Roll: 10 This was Infiltration's project. Of course Emmy was there to do what she could to make sure it was a success. The fact that she was getting paid to spend time at a nightclub was a handy bonus. She wore a little black bodycon dress and strappy heels that some people might have questioned how she could stay upright in. Emmy, however, did not seem to be having any issues with balance. Her makeup was smoky with plenty of glitter, and her hair was pulled back into a ponytail updo that had been meticulously curled into ringlets. Fishbone earrings completed the look, and matched the starfish pin she wore. She might not have been working bar, but she was working. No matter how advanced and exciting the glowsticks were, they weren't going to do the Negaverse any good if the new club didn't get the right publicity. So, she had her small vlog camera with her. "I'm just coming inside now, and let me just tell you, the atmosphere in here is amazing," she was saying, making sure to hold the camera so that it could get a shot of both her outfit and the aquarium behind her. "See these technological aquariums? I'm going to have to find out how they pulled something like this off."

Misty Newton (Mystras, Page of Jupiter) Location: Dance Floor Her hair was temporarily dyed rainbow. Okay, maybe it wasn't all the way rainbow. That wouldn't have fit the undersea vibes, but she'd gotten the blues and teals and purples in there. Also, pink. Misty liked pink and she decided that it was close enough to something like mermaid vibes to count. Her dress was completely covered in silver sequins and it had a 20's inspired silhouette, which meant it had sequined tassels around her knees that swished when she danced. Her nails and makeup matched the colorful hair. The initial exploration of the venue had gotten a bunch of woahs and bruhs out of her, but not much else. Now she was standing at the side of the dance floor, grinning. "Yeah, this great," she decided. "I'm all dressed up and having fun for the first time as this brand new me!" She hadn't been adjusting too badly, but being in a place like this made her feel more like herself. "And you can, like, peel me off the floor after the drinks if you want, but that doesn't have to be your job," she told her sibling. "This place is your vibe. I want you to have fun, too." --- Sadie Avamir (Pendour, Knight of Neptune) Location: Dance Floor Misty had also helped pick out Sadie's outfit, but keeping in mind the kinds of things that she needed to be comfortable. Sadie wore mermaid leggings and a swim top to match, one that had scalloped shell edges. She had on her noise cancelling earmuffs, that Livie had helped her decorate with scallop shells and small dangling crystals, and she had a necklace to match. "I do like the decorations," she said, glancing thoughtfully around the room. The earmuffs brought the pounding music down to a manageable level. She hadn't tried wearing them so much before, but maybe for situations like this, it could help some. She might spot different interactions here, she thought, then she did at those formal parties that she went to now and then. She had been clubbing before, but not for a while. After everything, though, she wanted to do what she could to be with her sister. "I could even try the dancing," she said, and then glanced sideways to Michelangelo, who had also come with them. "If you wanted?"
