This room is one of the four small square rooms on the map. Once you are all inside, the door closes behind you. The door seems to be sealed by some sort of Chaos and the room is covered in a dark fog.

This is the same fog that obscured the twelve paths in the Wilds and the path to the Observatory!

There is no going back. At least, not the way you came. You will need to find a new way out.

There is a sphere in the center of the room that looks like an orb with stars, constellations and astronomical phenomena. In fact, it looks a lot like the orb that is Urania’s personal item. But if you have been to Urania previously, you recognize it and know that, once activated, it can clear the fog.

It projects a voice that all in the room can hear:

“Please enter the password for activation. Hint mode is active.”

Then it adds:

“I am a glowing eye that blinks all month.”

Quote:
You must answer the riddle. Each character may provide only one answer even if it is the same as someone else’s. Every 24 hours, you will get a new clue.

Half of the answers must be submitted and be correct for the characters in this group to not be affected by this room’s Chaos.

Quote me to submit your answer to the riddle.

This role-play will last 72 hours.

Squire Halle of Lysithea

Unlike Mechelen and some of the others, this was Halle's first visit to Urania and both the fog and the orbs were new to him. But that didn't mean they didn't make sense. Strange fogs were common in games, and having a means to disrupt or fully disperse it at hand seemed like the ancient people of this world both knew their world's potential dangers, and had created the means to counter them in turn.

Under the influence of chaos, though, it seemed they likely weren't able to make full use of them.

Frowning at the riddle, he turned to Mechelen and Almere, and discussed the answer with them, "The only thing I know that are monthly are the moon and uh...that stuff." You know. That thing.

Mechelen Squire of Lysithea

Mechelen followed Halle through the door and held tight to Almere's hand, just to be safe. "Another riddle...I don't think it's anything to do with like...womanly things...but...maybe the moon? I mean, it could kind of be like an eye blinking if you think of it that way? Like, closed eye on the new moon and open on the full, and the rest of it are just..."

She waved her hands and shrugged. "I think that's an okay guess, honestly! Maybe even a good guess, I know I was surprised with some of the answers before..."

Ngome, Page of Lysithea

As the group split up and headed towards the different rooms. Ngome followed Halle, feeling a sense of reassurance in his presence.

Ngome listened to Halle, and Mechelen, discussing the riddle. She considered their points carefully before finally speaking up. "I think you're right. The moon does sound like a plausible answer. It fits with the description of a glowing eye that blinks all month,"

Mechelen Squire of Lysithea

Looking over at the other Lysithea page who had followed them, Mechelen brightened and waved. "Ngome, right? You and I met this past fall in the leaves! I'm so glad to see you, I'm sorry that I didn't say hello before!"

Chewing on her lip, Mechelen sighed. "I'm going to give a guess, I think. I really, really think that we're on to something with the moon...and like, from what I've seen, Urania is super...space-y? So..."

She hesitated a moment and looked between the other three, worried that she might just...be very wrong.

Super Sailor Perdita, Senshi of Plenty

Perdita turned when the door closed behind them, unnerved but not too concerned yet. Surely they could figure out a way to get the door open if they needed to. They were stuck for the moment, but she chose to believe they weren’t trapped.

Glancing around, Perdita took in the entirety of the room. Destroying the Chaos here was, in her opinion, an urgent matter, but that wouldn’t stop her from seeking out whatever information she could get about this place, even if she only got to observe it the way it was now. The sphere at the center of the room was of notable interest whether or not she knew what it was.

“The moon seems like a good guess to me,” she said. She didn’t want to intrude upon the younger ones, but given they were stuck in this room together she couldn’t help but overhear.

(Internally, she scoffed at herself. The younger ones. It wasn’t as if she was terribly old herself.)

Perdita turned the riddle around in her head anyway, trying to come at it from a different angle. There was a chance the answer could be something less obvious, but she couldn’t think past “the moon” far enough to come up with one.

Page Almere

"You can say the moon," Almere told Mechelen. "When I was up here before trying to help with stuff, the riddles weren't really trick questions. You just had to think outside the box."

She didn't know why her cousin had to be bringing up periods. She understood that it was a monthly thing but now she was blushing in the middle of her very important mission. Nobody was supposed to think about that! Especially not boys!

She took a half step behind Mechelen and said, "And then I had to give the world some cookies. Which, I do have more cookies, just in case."

Belmont, Squire of Jupiter

There were a few others here that looked familiar, but Belmont couldn’t name them. As he stood by Connie and Perdita and pondered, he kept his chin cupped in his hand. The fog around them was unnerving and unpleasant, but aside from that it didn’t seem harmful. He wondered if there were riddles and puzzles on Belmont, and if so if they would be as kind to him as Urania's world was to its guests.

He hadn't seen anything with such technology at his Wonder, but he was just happy that his Wonder wasn't crumbling around him as often as it had been when he'd first arrived.

Now definitely wasn't the time to want to investigate Urania. Chaos wasn't something to play around with, and though he hadn't spoken to Sessrumnir this trip, he'd always taken his words to heart. He wasn't going to screw around and put anyone in danger, and for as curious as he was, the time for questions could always be later--after this problem was handled.

Of course, he'd had his fair share of distractions already. On the way over, he'd made sure Connie knew how impressed he was with her paper making skills, and he'd badgered her a bit to show him some of her art sometime, but there was no point in carrying on in a solemn manner. Chaos could do enough to any doubt or worry, best to be in a good mood and try to have some defense against it.

"Well, that settles it, doesn't in?" Moon had seemed like the right choice at the get-go, and though he hadn't yet spoken up before now he'd been mulling over any possible alternatives. None had come to mind, and why keep pushing when sometimes the easiest answer was the right one? Especially with the second clue--wolves were always chasing the moon, weren't they?

Maybe on Urania as on Earth. If there were any other answers he might have tested, they were forgotten.

The younger group they shared the room with had come up with the same solution he had, and with no one offering any alternative suggestions, it was easy to settle on that one.

"I'm going to go with the moon, too." He didn't have other worlds to compare to, but it made sense on Earth.

"I can't say I've ever been really passionate about riddles, so if it's something more complex, I'm afraid to report that I've got nothing." Math problems? Sure, he loved those. Theoretical wordly riddles on another world, with a history and sky he didn't know?

...No. He really wished he'd asked Urania for a bit more information before they set off down here, but he was glad to have Connie and Perdita there with him. Foresight might have saved them a lot of problems, but at least they all seemed to be on the same page. For better or worse. It was only a shame that they didn't have any professional riddlers amidst their numbers. Or some cosmic trivia expert waiting to bestow greater knowledge on them.

Connie, Squire of Chronos

Connie was absolutely thrilled that her paper had been picked to have the map drawn on! Had she known she would have been able to help like that, she would have brought more supplies with her! Maybe she should have suggested setting up an easel. Oh, no, that would take too much time and effort, although Urania was a very talented artist and was able to draw a map so quickly and easily. It was very impressive! Connie knew she would have to do better if she ever wanted to become as talented as so many of these other Senshi and Knights.

Of course, she was absolutely thrilled at the idea of showing her artwork to her friends. She would have pulled out everything she had at that very moment, but knew it would probably just get ruined, or lost, or she could cause trouble for people. She definitely didn’t want to do that! But she was already thinking of when they got back to Earth, if she and Belmont and Perdita could hang out some more. If they wanted to, of course! She wasn’t going to force that on them! She just really appreciated their company and tolerance.

While there were a lot of people she knew, she couldn’t say she had a lot of really close friends. Everyone seemed to go their own ways, and she didn’t blame them! But it was also really nice to run into Belmont and Perdita again. They would just have to make it for more reasons than just fighting evil or whatever this was!

“Oh, nooo,” she whimpered when the door closed behind and there was so much dark fog all around them. She moved closer to Perdita and Belmont if only because she knew them the best. And if there were any bugs hiding in the fog, they would be the ones to take care of them!

She was just going to hope there were no bugs. Chaos bugs would be the worst. Just the thought of it made her shiver.

“Glowing eye that blinks all month. Oh, would that be like a lighthouse?” she wondered out loud, but quickly lowered her voice and ducked her head down so only Belmont and Perdita could hear her. She didn’t want to come busting in and ruining what everyone else already agreed on.

“No, that’s not quite right is it,” she sighed. “Although a lighthouse is also a guiding light, but I guess that doesn’t make sense when everything seems space themed and not nautical themed,” she hummed thoughtfully.

Oh, but everyone else was guessing the moon, which made sense. Wow, which meant that she was definitely wrong about lighthouse. How silly.

“I would much rather make jewelry,” she sighed. “I’m not good with riddles either.” Clearly. But that was okay, because they were with a group of young knights who were all really smart and she was super impressed with how put together they all seemed. When she was their age, she was still just trying to figure things out. If she had been a knight during that time?? Oh boy, that would have been a disaster. She was much better off having awakened when she was in college instead.

Squire Halle of Lysithea

Listening to the others consider the riddle and come to much the same conclusion, Halle found himself nodding along, becoming more confident that they were on the right track. To be honest, if there were more space-themed riddles, he was really going to regret not dragging Lisse up along with him.

"I guess we should go by Occam's Razor then! The answer is moon."

It was still weird to see adults as...well, peers. But the time spent on Hy-brasil and Cybele had helped ease up some of the discomfort and suspicion that came with the situation. So instead of distancing himself and his friends from those gathered, after a moment, Halle raised his voice and addressed everyone in the room, "When it opens, I'm not sure what'll happen. I'm Halle," he gave a little wave, "squire of Lysithea and all my magic involves Shields." He summoned up his weapon, a small wooden shield, baring a cheerful looking unicorn head. "Would you guys mind sharing what your abilities are?"

They couldn't exactly plan a full strategy, but it'd be good to know if things took a fighting turn.

Ngome, Page of Lysithea

Ngome listened to the discussions surrounding the riddle, feeling a sense of camaraderie among those in the room.

She smiled at Mechelen's friendly greeting, recognizing her from their encounter in the fall. "Yes, that's right! It's nice to see a familiar face here,"

Elliott

The first place the map that Urania had so quickly sketched out -- to be honest, he would like to talk to her about her artistic talents after this was hopefully over and her world was back to being the flourishing place it should have been -- was a set of rooms that were covered with a dark fog. In the center of the room, he saw something that looked very familiar now, especially considering what he had helped the now Eternal Sailor Urania with. An orb that looked like a celestial globe, waiting to ask them the answers to riddles.

Alright. He was not the most skilled at Earth riddles, but this was a place in space. It did not presume him to have knowledge he was not entirely sure he held. To be fair, though, if it was somehow a riddle about a soap opera, he was fairly sure he would have the capacity to solve that one.

It did not ask him a riddle about soap operas. Alas.

The riddle sounded like it was almost assuredly space-related, which made sense considering what Urania was. There appeared to be two groups of people in the room, puzzling through what the solution was. There were a surprising amount of younger knights there. Were they all from Lysithea? That was an idle fascination for him. Perhaps he would need to figure out if Lysithean knights were all as young as they were.

That was unimportant, though, beyond the words they were saying. Elliott attempted to tilt his head to the side to see if he could pick up better what they were murmuring about. Moon? That would make sense. He imagined it did not have to do with the assigned female at birth menstrual cycle. One of them pointed out that the riddles on this planet were not trick questions, which backed up the concept that they were pointing to the moon.

The other, smaller group of knights and senshi seemed to have a similar inclination. Except for the one that was naming the concept of lighthouses, they also named the moon. It seemed like a no thought situation, in this case, then. If it wasn't a trick, he should follow what the overall tendency had been. What was it one of the Lysithean knights had called it? Occam's Razor? He was not sure what terminology that was, but it seemed to follow the general idea.

For Elliott, what solidified his guess of the moon was the second hint. There was a lot of art that depicted wolves howling at the moon. It would make sense that a moon-based riddle would be discussing wolves as part of its resolution. The moon was their guide. The moon was also what generated werewolves in fiction, was it not? It had to be the moon.

So that was why he finally padded over to the orb and offered, easily, "I think I agree with the general opinion that the answer id moon."

Super Sailor Perdita, Senshi of Plenty

“It’s okay,” Perdita said, giving Connie’s shoulder a reassuring pat. “I can see how lighthouse might have worked if all we got was the first part. I like riddles, but it always throws me off when there’s a single obvious answer ‘cause I expect to be tricked. But if these aren’t supposed to be tricky then I’d say moon it is.”

When one of the Lysithea knights (a squire maybe; it wasn’t always easy to pick out who was who when their auras were all smushed together) introduced himself and asked about magic, Perdita gave a small smile and a corresponding wave in greeting.

“Perdita, Senshi of Plenty,” she introduced herself. “I don’t think my magic will be much use in here. Maybe if we were outside. I can make copies of things you find in nature and I guess drown people in a big pile of them. I’ve gotten used to improvising with random things for weapons, though, and I’m okay in a fight without all that. I’ve trained a bit, at least.”

She wasn’t arrogant or boastful, just matter-of-fact. “There’s more of us in this room now than there were with me when we broke off into groups to deal with the Chaos on Alastor, so as long as we keep a level-head I think we’ll be okay.”

She certainly felt more confident about it this time, even without Oberon there with her. Not that they’d had to do much more than answer a riddle yet, but their success last time gave her hope now.

“Hopefully we’re not on the completely wrong track with the riddle, but I don’t think we are,” she said, offering the mauvian a dip of the head in acknowledgement before taking a closer look at the orb too. “We just activate this and we should be good, right? Hopefully the door’ll open back up too.”

Mechelen Squire of Lysithea

Mechelen looked at the quickly filling room and felt…relieved. If this turned into some kind of a fight, at the very least, there was a lot of them here…and if nobody was super strong…at least together they could be kind of tough. Sort of tough? Tough enough, hopefully.

“I’m submitting my answer as moon too! And I’m Mechelen, Squire of Lysithea! It’s nice to meet all of you, and I hope that this…stays as…” She wrinkled her nose, trying to find the right words and not sound…rude but.

“Simple as this? If it’s all just riddles, I’m glad we have all of us to help! If it gets to be a fight, my magic is really good at uh…keeping people occupied for a little bit? But they aren’t able to be hit when they’re under my magic so…there’s that! It’s very nice to meet you Perdita! Your outfit is very pretty!”

She didn’t know that many Senshi, and was kind of excited to be able to meet one, and the two other Squires here…she had no idea what they were, but looked at Connie and grinned. “You’re so vibrant! I love it! I’ve never seen that symbol before either! And you!” She hesitated, for the first thing she wanted to say was that he was a big strong man but…

Mechelen couldn’t just say that in front of Halle! That would be so rude!

…Even if it was the truth.
