Standard Ranks
Youth - This is the default rank for every cub in the pride.
Hunter - This is the default rank for every adolescent and adult in the pride. Everyone is expected to learn how to hunt while growing up.
Nanny - Nannies are in charge of keeping tabs on the cubs and juveniles when their parents are away with their own duties. Their tasks mainly include bathing, entertaining, and teaching the cubs about the basics of Prideland life.
Artisan - This rank is for those who like to create items for their fellow pride members, normally to barter for food or nanny services. Creative types are encouraged to develop their skills.
Messenger - As the pride is massive, messengers are used to relay information to specific members or to send out notices to the entire pride. It is actually quite common for hares and avians to assist in this service, and the postmaster coordinates the massive messages being relayed to the entire pride from the royal family.
Healer - Bumps, bruises, broken bones...these things are bound to happen! Healers are used to help keep the pride in good health, especially the new soldiers.
Scout - Scouts monitor the borders. They are not fighters, but instead the eyes and ears of any initial trouble that may be brewing outside of the pride's borders. This is especially important after the current conflicts with the hyena pack, the Mava'Bunda. They are also usually the first ones to intercept approaching rogues that may petition to join the pride.
Soldier - A new rank introduced by Tau in response to the concerns of the Mava'Bunda pride. It doesn't come without controversy, as the Pridelands has always been seen as a peace-driven pride. They are used to help guard the lands in conjuction with the scouts.
Limited Ranks
Storyteller - Nannies that have a knack for telling stories could be upgraded to storytellers. They usually spend their time sharing past experiences, explaining why the pride functions as it does it deeper detail to the youth, as well as teaches good morals through stories.
Historian - Historians have taken to the long history of the pride, including the wide range of members that join. They must be easily approachable (for the most part), willing to share what knowledge they have learned, and can be truthful when the royal family calls on them for helping to recall important aspects of the past.
Guardian - Guardians are soldiers that have begun to develop their skills in leadership and strength. They help train newer soldiers, as well as schedule and maintain shifts for the soldiers.
Heads - Either a Head Hunter, Head Scout, or perhaps even a Head Nanny. The number of heads is determined on the number of 'normal' members that carry a rank. Head Hunters help organize hunting parties and are in charge of a select group of lions. Head Scouts do the same, except they assign patrol duties. Head Nannies help to keep everyone organized, as youth can be quite chaotic at times!
Special Ranks
Council - Determined on a case-by-case basis, the council helps the royal family in making decisions. These can be as simple as day to day life, or as important as how to handle the problems with the Mava'Bunda pack. Currently, there can only be 5 council members total.
Ambassador - A trained diplomatic member sent to another pride to stand as the Prideland's official representative. There is the chance, mattering on the pride's size, that more than one would be sent. The pride must give the diplomat the proper title of 'ambassador' to be accepted. Applications for this rank will be very carefully considered, as it would carry heavy IC weight on both prides.
Champion - Champions are proven hero soldiers who have gone beyond the call of duty for their pride. This rank is unavailable at the moment.
Postmaster - The postmaster coordinates the relay of messages from the royal family to the general pride. They also coordinate the hares and avians used to send messages from member to member. Ecavi only.
